Yelp
Where to start. I have been searching for a decent pizza here in Reno for the last two years, trying almost every pizza establishment from Carson City, to Lake Tahoe and everywhere between.
So when I heard from a friend I just had to try Eclipse Pizza I was raring to go. I ordered a large cheese, a large two-topping, and a calzone. When I went in to pick them up, the restaurant was so small, I had to go outside to change my mind.
Number one, I'm not a fan of thin-crust pizza, and especially not a fan of cracker crust. So when I opened the box and looked at how thin the dough was, I was already having my doubts.
However, the calzone looked pretty decent, size-wise, and the crust was not too shabby. I brought it home to the hungry family, and the taste wasn't bad, but everyone had a problem with the crust. To thin, no rise in the dough, and no air bubbles from the dough cooking.
We all had a taste of the veggie calzone, and that was a big hit. The taste was good, the dough, although thin, didn't seem to be like their pizza dough, or at least didn't appear that way, in regard to the ultra-thin cracker crust.
So Eclipse, sorry but the best I can do is a TWO-STAR rating, and the only reason why it wasn't a one-star was because of the Calzone.
Better luck next time, well maybe not next time.
