Working with Eco Caters was nothing short of incredible. Every aspect of our planning process with them was extremely smooth. We cannot thank our contact from their team Scott, and the entire team including the cooks, servers, bartenders, and everyone involved for such a fantastic experience. From our very first consultation call, Scott answered all of our questions, gave us a detailed estimate, sent us many options of different menus, including seasonal menus, and set up a tasting for us. The tasting was a fun and delicious experience itself- we were blown away by the flavor of the food (particularly the desserts!), and were able to try every part of the menu, including the appetizers, salad, 3 main course options (including vegetarian), and desserts. We worked with Scott on every detail of the planning process, emailing him many times over the course of a year and getting every question answered. We also enjoyed that we were able to go through them to get out rentals for our tables, linens, dishware, and everything else we needed. This made planning and coordinating much more simple. Scott did several walkthroughs at the venue (with and without us) to ensure that every detail was accounted for on their part. At the wedding, we got so many compliments on how delicious the food was, and everyone in particular loved the Autumn Margarita we used as one of our Specialty Cocktails (a recipe that Eco Caters made). We also really appreciate their mission to reduce waste and source local and seasonal ingredients. Overall, we cannot be more grateful for our experience working with Scott and the whole Eco Caters team. Catering is such a huge investment in the wedding expenses, and you cannot go wrong working with this team!

I recently worked with EcoCaters for a wedding on November 1 at DACOR Bacon House. Scott and his entire team were incredible. As an event planner, they were a dream catering company to work with. Scott was communicative and timely ahead of the wedding, which I really appreciated. Day-of, his team came in ready and willing to help. They were flexible, when needed, and genuinely kind individuals. I highly recommend them and hope to work with them again in the future!

We had a great experience working with EcoCaters, catering our wedding in 2025. The communications and planning went smoothly, and we received plenty of compliments on the food after the wedding. Scott and the team were also very pleasant to work with. Very easy to recommend!

We used EcoCaters to cater a concert at the Anthem followed by a closing party at the Wharf during our recent Convention. EcoCaters was phenomenal to work with. They truly spent time listening to our vision for the event and then working out a menu that met our goals and stayed on budget. They were thorough throughout the planning process. EcoCaters delivered excellent support for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. They provided two serving staff and five appetizer items. Everything was delicious, and it was easy to work with them to customize the menu to meet our dietary restrictions. We had about 150 people, and everyone was impressed with quality, freshness, presentation, and taste of the food. The best part was the two serving staff - Val and Laura set everything up, helped our guests to put out the food they brought, explained the food choices, washed dishes, restocked food items, and went above and beyond to make sure our party was a success. Thank You!

I cannot recommend Eco Caterers enough. They are so incredibly kind and professional. They went above and beyond to help us ---  especially when we had to pick up our event and move due to rain! I host many events and will certainly keep them at the top of my catering list going forward.

We used EcoCaters for an event for our organization. Habiba was our coordinator and did an amazing job. She made it simple to finalize our menu with her suggestions. On the day of our event, the onsite team was amazing to work with. Everything was ready on time and everyone raved about how delicious the food was. Highly recommend them to help with your event.

We hired Ecocaters for our wedding. Paige, Rahzah, and their staff were wonderful and so kind. The food was fantastic (I received so much feedback about how excellent the food was). The catering went so smoothly! Paige was super responsive and supportive. However, I had difficulty with the sales staff of Ecocaters. The original sales associate we made the contract with underquoted us what ended up being 30% of our catering budget. We also learned shortly after we signed the contract that the sales associate we worked with had left the company and the VP of sales would be introducing us to the staff that would be catering our wedding. What followed was a 4 month game of phone/ email tag with assurances of "I'll send you an email with the information tomorrow", which never materialized. Eventually I couldn't even get ahold of the VP of sales. I just needed a name and an email address! So I ended up having to contact the general Ecocaters phone number to get in contact with Paige and Rahzah.

EcoCaters did an outstanding job with a luncheon event that we hired them to cater with about 90 guests. The food, the service, and our experience working out the menu with Shadia were all outstanding. We would strongly recommend them as a catering company.

Do not hire. Multiple snafus, many things fell through the cracks, and poor communication in the lead-up to the event, including missing linens, last-minute changes to the event timeline, and an absentee event lead in the hours leading up to the event (who was offsite getting missing linens). Zero apologies from the company. Even billing lacked customer service--protracted and chaotic. Save yourself the aggravation and hire a better run company.

Shadia, John, and Chef Robbie were outstanding from start to finish. They helped cater a very large VIP event recently and the food was excellent. The displays were lavish, the ingredients were fresh and local, and the great attention to detail paid to our entire group from the staff was unparalleled. Additionally, as someone with a food allergy, I know how difficult an appetizer only selection at an event can be. They worked with me to identify various opportunities to offer selections that worked with any dietary restriction. If you need someone in DC, these are your people. Shadia, additionally, went above and beyond the call of duty and was attentive, knowledgeable, and just had it together. They are so great to work with...hopefully you get to work with Shadia, too! I know based on scope/people they assign various coordinators, but if you can...request her!

Excellent food and warm, wonderful staff and service. We had a death in the family and little time to prepare for the service following the funeral. Eco Caterers were extremely accommodating, helping prepare a fantastic assortment of food and making helpful suggestions to make the event as easy for us to manage as possible. Specifically, they were more than happy to help coordinate / provide food heaters, serving ware, linens, ice for beverages, servers for passed food, etc. They thought of everything - all the things we would not have thought of during such a difficult and hectic time for our family. We got to know the owner, Shadia, who is so warm and accommodating to various requests.

Delicious dishes and excellent service! Eco Caters helps us on a monthly basis to keep about 40 Virginia Tech students and faculty energized during intense, full-day graduate school sessions on our Arlington, VA campus. The variety of flavors is wonderful for both vegetarians and carnivores, and the desserts are sublime. Our graduate program is in sustainability leadership, so it is very important for us to model eco-responsible behavior to our students in everything we do, including catering.

I had the pleasure of enjoying catering by Eco Caters at a wedding that I was working. Just a few weeks later, I found myself needing last-minute catering needs for an event that I was producing. Eco Caters completely saved me and provided stellar service for my guests. The food was amazing and the bar service was seamless. I look forward to hiring the team again in 2020! Thank you!

I am so glad that I have been able to work with Shadia and the entire team at Eco Caters. They put on two amazing corporate events for me this past spring - one of which was a completely custom popcorn and salt station! Eco Caters' New Years Eve package was a delight to receive. From ordering to cooking, these folks made it very easy and fun. Their instructional videos are fun to watch, and Chef Robbie has superb presence and skill. We'll definitely be ordering from them again. Thanks, Eco Caters!

EcoCaters is the one. Amazing food, the guys that run the company are young, cool & very professional (ahem... and not too shabby to look at) and their staff is on the ball. Best thing of all is how healthy the food is (all organic goods). Very artsy/creative with their menus & prep/presentation- fit for foodies who notice that kind of thing. Found out these guys feed a few pro sports teams in DC too- I'm no sports fan but felt warm & fuzzy being fueled with the same foods... Fitness central ;). A bit pricier than some other quotes I got (the nature of organic foods...) but glad I went with em- and I'll do it again. Standout quality worth the extra dime. Recommended em to a few friends and they've also been very happy. Keep up the great work fellas, the east coast needs more health-conscious, eco-friendly companies!

Great staff and friendly. The event I was at they provided the salad bar and a stir fry station. The salad bar they had set up was very nice and fresh and great ingredients. The stir fry station they had was good and the guy did a great job. My gripe was that the stir fry was too salty. Outside of that I liked the things they did. I'd be interested in seeing what their other options taste like.

Eco Caters catered my small backyard wedding in late June 2017 and they did a spectacular job. Mary and team were so communicative, so accommodating, and so friendly, from start to finish. After our initial tasting, we had some feedback and they were very open to making changes to fit our taste and vision. Mary was also super helpful in guiding me through making menu and rental selections while staying in budget. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. They arrived early, set everything up according to plan, the food was delicious and exactly what we had envisioned (including gluten-free pitas and bagels! That were actually good!). The presentation was lovely, and the staff was super efficient and friendly. We're so glad we hired them and would do so again in a heartbeat.

We recently used Eco for a 50-person wedding dinner, and couldn't have been happier. Their philosophy really appealed to us, but the major selling point was the food: they say you don't get to eat at your own wedding, but if you use Eco, you'll certainly want to make sure you do. Every single bite was delicious, and they were happy to work with us to accommodate some guests with restrictive diets, and to work in some special desserts prepared by someone else. Mary and her crew made the entire process a breeze--everything was set up quickly and beautifully (and removed equally quickly at the end of the night) and all of the servers were friendly and extremely professional. Mary also served as our day-of-coordinator and was great. She was responsive, communicated well with our other vendors, and independently handled all of the last-minute problems. Absolutely wonderful experience!

We had an event catered by Eco Caters and it was FABULOUS! Their staff is incredibly attentive, personable, and wonderful to work with. Additionally, the food not only looks good but tastes amazing! Beautiful presentation and fantastic flavors - we will be working with them again!

I was responsible for planning an event in Washington DC all the way from Seattle WA and was recommended EcoCaters by the event venue we rented (Studio 52). Mary and team were easy to work with, eager to accommodate all of our requests and provided amazing food options! We wanted "easy" breakfast options, and the egg wraps that they provided (some with meat and some with veggies) were delicious. In the evening, their slider trio was perfect - substantial enough to keep people full. They showed up on time for delivery each day and made set up seem like a breeze. I'd use them again in a heart beat! As someone who was a little stressed with all the details of planning an event, they made the food part stress free!

We worked with Shadia and Rebekkah and had a very positive experience. They are very quick to respond, proactive, solution-oriented, creative, and thoughtful. We believe that in terms of event planning, details are everything. Eco Caters fully embraces that notion and their hospitality + professionalism make them great collaborators for any event. Eco Catering was by-far the best vendor we had at our wedding. (Also professionally I am an event planner, and Eco Catering was the best vendor I have ever worked with.) Mary Gorman is a rock star of a human being. She was SUPER organized, she gave excellent wedding planning advice, and she went way above and beyond her duties as the catering manager. Working with Eco Caters couldn't have been easier since Mary was so responsive, knowledgeable, and frankly just an enjoyable person to be around. And of course the food was AMAZING! Many of our guests commented on how they had never had such delicious and original food at a wedding. None of that standard plain pasta and caesar salad stuff (though I am sure they do an excellent pasta and caesar salad). It was custom created just for us based on our food interests and dietary restrictions of our guests. The staff were so nice and easy going. They were extremely attentive to our guests and couldn't have been friendlier. They were great at working within our budget as well. Compared to other caterers we looked at, they provided a better service at a better price. Thank you Eco Caters for making our wedding so special. I wish we could do it all over again!

Eco Caters is awesome! We hired them for an event my office planned and they exceeded all of our expectations. The food and drinks were delicious and the whole staff was so friendly and professional!

Mary Gorman and the team at Eco are in our opinion a cut above the rest. I could not imagine a more accommodating, professional, easy going, generous, client-focused and hard-working production staff -- back to front of the house and bartenders -- each person approached their role with integrity and seriousness and a certain amount of passion. Needless to say, weddings rarely go exactly according to plan. And ours was by no means an exception to that rule; especially when you consider that we took it upon ourselves to do all of the planning, Mary went out of her way to provide insights and tips on manifold details that we, as novices, would have otherwise missed. Many things were up in the air (not least of them bar service) until the last minute. Furthermore, you have to understand the city shut down the cul-de-sac leading to our venue pushing all of the setting-up back by two hours forcing us to extend the cocktail hour etc. etc. -- Eco rolled with the punches, adjusted in times for bartenders and stretched the passed hors d'oeuvres.... Okay, so I'm rambling, final word: Amazing

We had a last minute need for caterers and eco caterers completely saved the day. As far as our guests know, the ecocatering team had months to prepare the menu and food ahead of time. That's the way it looked anyways! It was wonderful to outsource all of that work- including plates, linens, drinkware, and more to the very capable hands of eco catering! Also, they were incredibly pleasant and lovely to work with. Look forward to the next time we need catering done!
