Downtown’s benchmark slice shop since 1998, famed for NYC water and foldable, deck-oven pies. Lauded by Tampa Bay Times and a Tampa Magazine reader favorite; lines move fast and the Sicilian slices are worth the wait.

Look, I understand the whole New York pizza thing. The pizza is definitely delicious. The wings are delicious. The mozzarella sticks ok. If you want the whole New york experience, you definitely will get it here. The smell outside and inside is literally just like a New york pizzeria Even parking is just like New york, you will have to pay $6 if you park in the front sidewalk across the street at the parking lot is going to be $20

Amazing pizza! Soft, crispy on the bottom but not too hard just right! Great flavors and choices you don’t see often at pizza spots. Fast service also. Definitely recommend!

🍕 Eddie & Sam’s NY Pizza – A Taste of NYC in the Heart of Tampa 🍎🗽 If you're on the hunt for authentic New York-style pizza in Tampa, Florida, look no further than Eddie & Sam's NY Pizza. Nestled in the heart of downtown Tampa, this legendary spot has been slinging massive, foldable slices since 1998, and they don’t just claim to bring the New York experience — they literally import real New York water to make their dough. Yes, real NYC water, because true New Yorkers know the secret's in the crust. 🍕 The Story Eddie & Sam's was founded with a mission: bring real-deal New York pizza to Florida, without compromise. For over two decades, they've kept it old-school — huge, crispy-yet-chewy slices, minimal grease, and bold, classic flavors. Their commitment to quality and authenticity is what’s made them a go-to for locals, tourists, and displaced New Yorkers alike. 😋 The Taste Let’s talk about the food. These slices taste like home — if your home is a walk-up in Brooklyn. The pepperoni slice is a crispy, savory explosion of flavor, with just the right amount of grease and that signature NY-style snap when you fold it. The meat combo slice with sausage and pepperoni is equally satisfying — hearty, seasoned, and balanced perfectly with the melty cheese and thin, golden-brown crust. The crust alone deserves its own fan club. It’s soft in the middle, crispy on the bottom, with that unmistakable New York tang thanks to the imported water. It’s not just pizza — it’s a slice of New York in every bite. 📍 Location Vibes Located near Tampa’s Riverwalk and downtown hot spots, it’s the perfect pit stop for lunch or a late-night bite. Seating is casual and busy — grab a slice and people-watch while enjoying the smell of garlic knots and fresh-baked pies wafting through the air. Drove 30 minutes to get here and give this place a try and we were not disappointed! If you like NY style pizza, this is as good as it gets in Florida. I’m from NJ and travel up there often to visit family and I alway have pizza on those trips. Not a priority now that Eddie and Sam’s is just as good, if not better than what I get up there.

Google
This place came highly recommended by a local and I don’t regret coming here! If you have taste for some good pizza, eat here! Don’t forget to mention it’s very affordable, the staff is friendly, and plenty of seating inside! Perfect!👌🏾

Google
The kiosks make it super easy to order. To our surprise when we went this weekend there wasn’t a long line. Usually this place is packed, for a good reason too. We love the pizza here. It is NY style as in crust type and thinness. I’m not sure about the bad reviews people have left and what their expectations are. I would 100% recommend this place.

Google
I’m not sure what a “NY Pizza” is supposed to be, but we found their pie to be very tasty albeit a bit greasy (see picture). Food was very fast as all the pies are premade and being able to order slices is nice and relatively uncommon for Tampa. The atmosphere needs some attention…it smelled rank, FM radio overhead (so commercials too), and electric “greenfield” across the floor to trip over. A worker folding boxes in the dining area.

Google
If you need a slice quick, or want a great place to hangout, this is the pizza place you need to go to. Tons of pizza options and it's easy to order a giant slice or two. I got the chicken Parm and eggplant Parm pizzas, and wow, the eggplant Parm may be my new favorite pizza flavor, it was just yum!

Yelp
My favorite pizza place downtown! It's not just a pizza spot it's an experience. The whole staff is always so warm and welcoming and the pizza is amazing! Not to mention the wings are incredible as well! I love the mild garlic with blue cheese! Any pizza I've tried is amazing. My first fave was the eggplant which is totally out of the norm from what i would order but seriously so delicious! The pepperoni is a must, the white is incredible. The chicken bacon ranch? DELICIOUS! From visiting with friends to ordering for work events Eddie & Sam's never misses! I also should mention they recently updated the restaurant with fresh paint and an updated outdoor space which looks great!

Yelp
We had pizza. The crust wasn't fancy but crispy and so delicious. The toppings were fresh and even though only counter service, the people are so nice. Will definitely be back. Go early if you plan to eat there, popular spot for college students. Very clean.

Yelp
TLDR: Great options & variety, good quality, and REHEATS SO WELL. We purchased a 14in supreme pizza ($20). This was our first time trying a "N.Y. Style" pizza, and we weren't disappointed! Great crust & great toppings, especially the meatballs. If you don't want a full pizza, you can buy per slice too! So much variety, I'd love to come back and try more! We didn't finish our pizza so we put the rest in the fridge. It tasted just as great cold AND reheated (airfryer). Crust and all! This place was super busy with both indoor and outdoor seating. May be difficult to find street parking, but there is a paid lot right in front of it if you can't find any on the street. Would recommend, and will be back if I'm near that part of town!

Yelp
One of my fave pizza spots. Huge slices, delicious flavors and nice crusts. Service and ambiance are great too!

Kristine N.

Yelp
I'm very impressed by how fast the service is here. This place has a line out the door but the service never stops moving. I will say I had the cheese pizza, and I thought it has high quality cheese. I will say that after a couple of bites the giant slices do get tiring with the cheese pizzas.
google avatar

Kristen C.

Yelp
The service is quick and easy on the self serve screen. They have many different beverage options and amazing pizza choices. I had the lasagna pizza which was different enough to be delicious but not weird. I also had pepperoni slice just in case the other wasn't good. The people was delicious too. I chose to have a bottle of water with my food but they had everything ranging from energy drinks to jarritos. I would definitely return to this spot which had a constant flow of customers but remained efficient. I do have questions about their sustainability practices because everyone recieves their food in a box even if dining in. The restaurant is small enough to feel quaint but big enough to have enough space for tables to dine inside and out. They have a TV for sports fans.

Yelp
THE BEST PIZZA IN FLORIDA! I'm a pizza snob and have eaten everywhere of everywhere that anyone around here recommends. Eddie & Sam's is a Top 3 Pie I've had ANYWHERE! The toppings are fresh and large portions. The sauce is to die for. The flop and char to the crust are absolutely perfect. I've had 6 different kinds and they're all ELITE but my favorite is the BBQ Chicken. The Restaraunt has quick self serve ipad ordering stations. They have plenty of slices ready to serve and ample seating. I HIGHLY Recommend you try it out next time you're in Downtown Tampa.

Yelp
Last day of school and tradition of ours we head over to Eddie's and Sam's. Still best pizza in Tampa Bay Area! Makes me miss New York City! We just got a slice and it was delicious and cooked to perfection
google avatar

Jordan C.

Yelp
Not bad 7.3 out of 10 Pizza was well priced and good on flavor. Crispy crust with almost no flop. It was a little on the greasy side for my taste but not the worst I've seen... You order at a kiosk so service is pretty straight forward don't have to wait long we order a 14 inch lasagna and half pep- and took a walk around the block it was ready when we got back... the vibe is basic, nothing fancy, basically the kitchen and then a lot of seating. It looks like there's only one bathroom and it's not the cleanest. If you're looking for "knock you Sox" off pizza this isn't it to me... but it's solid and worth grabbing a slice if you're walking by
google avatar

Jill W.

Yelp
In Tampa for work, saw the reviews and walked to Eddie and Sam's for a slice. I'm from upstate NY. The pizza was NY style thin crust, browned on the bottom and foldable, I loved the pepperoni slice. The 2nd slice was white pizza and I was not a fan of the flavor but it still continue all the qualities of NY style pizza. They also have other types of pizza, no alcohol on site.
google avatar

Melinda H.

Yelp
Set in the typical downtown neighborhood the restaurant has that always been her because it's good vibe. Super good pizza in a more grimy part of town. The pizza is traditional NY style and very tasty. I like that you can order by the slice to try different types or just buy a big one to share. Mostly self service kiosk ordering makes it efficient to grab and go! This place is busy!
google avatar

Travis B.

Yelp
I have no idea how anyone can think this Pizza is good or great. it has no taste..really bad...I guess if you don't know what Pizza tastes like, you'll enjoy eating their pizza which is step above Papa John's.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Solid pizza spot in downtown Tampa. We got the 14 inch meat lovers pizza $18. We loved the toppings, the dough was good but not amazing but the portion and taste were overall good. Probably the best in DT imho. Parking in DT is always a mission but we went on a Sunday and found a spot real close. Service was fast and friendly, me and my weirdough partner were chowing down in minutes.

Yelp
Pizza is my THING!! Of course! Every time I get the chance to try a new pizza place I will take it! My sister was turning 36 and she just wanted to go have pizza! Mind you we are both New Yorkers of course, we know good pizza when we taste it! I did my research here on Yelp as well as IG and Google reviews, I came across Eddie And Sam's N.Y Pizza. Automatically got sold by the pictures and what I read! Its location is everything for those in Downtown Tampa! I mean employees, residents, tourists etc... it's in a corner where driving by you cannot miss it at all! Walking wise you can't miss either! Parking... well it's better to either Uber/lyft, walk or find parking in another area. The area located is very hard to find parking or you have the choice to park for a "set price" approximately $25.00... (all day) That's something to think about. It's very spacious, well decorated, has tables and stools! You have the ability to pick up, order and eat while you walk, sit at a table or a stool! There are tables even outside which you can enjoy your pie/slice depending on the weather! I loved the fact you can either visit solo, couple, date, hangout with friends and even with family! It's the place to either hangout early as of 11am or as late as it closes. Each employee was very attentive. The wait, lines and serving went ratherly quick. My big downer was... we sat on the table in the back near the bathrooms... Sadly the bathroom needs lots of care! Each time the doors opened the smell that came out was not pleasant! Hey, in my defense I know bathrooms don't smell like "roses" BUT you can tell when a bathroom is clean, maintain and kept up to date! It simply looked like a gastation bathroom (which you normally use in a no option situation.) The pizza! Deserves a 5/5! It was warm, tasty! And the size is WORTH IT! Definitely New York Style! The employees, location, and food get 5/5. The bathroom on the other hand gets a 0/5.

Yelp
Just outstanding and exactly what we needed before we depart on our cruise tomorrow. After waking up at 3 am for an early flight to Tampa we needed substance but not a lot of effort. Several folks at our hotel recommended this pizza spot and we are so glad that we listened. Highly recommend. Our belly's are full and we are very happy. Thank you for an awesome meal and we will definitely have it again when we return to town.

Yelp
Came in for a few slices of New York pizza with the wifey. First impression was the staff. They had like three doors you can enter from so the first door we used to enter took you to an area where they cleaned store items. There was employees working there but no one greeted us so we went to the other door and that was the right one. Same thing there, the employees didn't greet us or anything. I ordered a regular cheese pizza, Hawaiian and chicken bacon ranch. The cheese pizza was decent. I added some oregano, Parmesan and I garlic/onion seasoning which really enhances the pizza. The Hawaiian and chicken bacon ranch were okay. Taste was slightly on the blend side and ingredients didn't really taste too fresh, especially the chicken. Pizza slices were massive tho! Got full with two slices lol Overall the pizza was good. Portion size was great. Price tag for the pizza was acceptable too. If you like pizza you gotta try this place!

Robert S.

Yelp
Their sauce has a nice flavor, definitely better than any change in the area! The ingredients were fresh!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm from up north where we have the best pizza. I'm very critical when it comes to pizza. I must say that Eddie & Sam's pizza make me feel like I'm back up north. The size of the pizza, the combinations, the diversity of options, the whole vibe is on point. I wish they had multiple joints in Tampa. I don't frequent downtown but when I'm there Eddie & Sam's calls my attention. I need to go back just to try the different slices that I haven't tasted yet.
google avatar

Wendy F.

Yelp
Quick and delicious! One of if not the best pizza places around! They advertise that they use water from New York to help make it authentic! However you may take that, it's delicious and a staple around here! Definitely a must if you're in the area! My favorite is the Tomato, basil, garlic and olive oil pizza, the tomato are flavorful and with it all together it is sooooo tasty! Service is pretty quick and there's a parking lot right across the street!

Yelp
As we were walking around downtown Tampa after the comedy show, I kept seeing huge piles of trash bags out on the sidewalk full of pizza boxes in front of Eddie and Sam's Pizza.. I'm like hmmm, nothing says really good to me like a bunch of trash. Our group keeps walking.. After the show, our group heads to a local dive bar because what can be better than that. Well, shit, next door is none other than Eddie and Sam's Pizza made with real NY water? Now I'm wondering; how the hell do they truck that much water in but..... While we were at the bar, one from our group heads over to see if they have anything left as it is after closing. Lo and behold, he scores the last cheese pie! He dances by the dive bar window sporting the huge box of bubbly goodness. Needless to say, we all left and shared a really great pie. I would make this a definite stop! Be careful, they are always packed and the place is typically full of college kids. Not a lot of time for cleaning and there was a lot of trash on the floor but hey, what can you expect. Price wise, a large cheese was $25
google avatar

Kenneth M.

Yelp
Great pizza spot downtown for regular and monster slices. Great prices. It's kiosk service but food comes out quick. Chill spot to sit and eat with some outdoor seating. Come check them out.
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
Ordered a 14" supreme pizza to go. The pizza was delicious. I had the pie baked for an extra time for a firmer crust. Perfect amount on the meat and vegetables toppings. Service was spot on what was quoted on the time to pick up when ordering on their website.
google avatar

Latoya C.

Yelp
Eddie & Sam's is where I go when I need pizza that means business. The Buffalo chicken pizza? A win every time. The classic cheese? Simple, perfect, and hits like a hug from your carb-loving best friend. The vibe is exactly what a pizza joint should be--no frills, just good energy, and better pizza. You can grab a seat or stand at the counter like you're in NYC. Either way, you're leaving happy and probably with a napkin full of crumbs. If you're in Tampa and craving a proper slice, this is your spot. Five stars, zero regrets.
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
the wings were nasty. The pizza was good. The people were friendly, and the service was quick. Nice size establishment. There are lots of self-ordering stations. Convenient parking. I would go back but never order wings again. They tasted re-heated and dipped in sauce
google avatar

Sabrina I.

Yelp
Headed to the airport during hurricane season after a bachelorette party, and this spot was perfect for grabbing some pizza to go. We ordered online, picked it up easily, and the pizza was just what we needed! It was a great size, full of delicious flavors, with a thin and crunchy crust. The toppings tasted fresh, which made it even better. Next time we're in Tampa, I'd definitely come back for another slice!

James V.

Yelp
Service was quick. Got it as soon as it finished baking. I had the 14 inch cheese pizza. It was incredible. They use New York water to make their dough so it's authentic. The tomato sauce is a little bit sweet with a tiny bit of spice but nothing overpowering just the right amount also the cheese is fresh mozzarella and it has just the right amount of grease crust and cheese pole. I would almost liking it to a New Haven style pizza, very serious, undercarriage, and incredible crust. The ambience had a definite New York pizza vibe, and I loved it.
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
This pizza joint is a great addition to downtown Tampa. I was staying a couple blocks away and it was a safe and easy 5 minute walk for a weekend lunch. I was able to order 2 cheese slices and a drink for $7.99 which is an absolute steal! The pizza took just a few minutes to heat up and it came out warm and melty. They have the freestyle Coca-Cola machines for a lot of options. Pizza was solid NY style. Thin crust, foldable, good with red pepper and parmesan. It was a little bland, but still tasty. Lots of indoor seating and a few seats outside. Several TVs playing football on a Sunday. Most of the free tables were a little dirty, but they were pretty steadily busy. I would definitely go back if I were in the area and looking for an inexpensive and filling meal option!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by Eddie and Sam's N.Y. pizza before a Lightning game. Order your pizza by touchscreen and pay the same way. Not too much interaction with the people working but they seemed nice. They call out your name and you pick your pie up. They do have slices available with a great selection if you want. Plenty of tables to sit at to enjoy your food and fountains to fill your drinks back up. Now to the pizza, went to another place that begins with a "S" who porting said had great pizza. It's not always about the looks. In this case the pizza looked great and had great flavor to the cheese with the right amount of sauce. This will definitely by my pregame stop when I am in the area.
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
As being someone originally from NY, I'm typically not a fan of pizza in FL. However, Eddie and Sam's is so good and reminds me of the style I loved back home. You can taste every ingredient in the pizza. It's def got something to do with the water! For 4 slices we paid around $18-$19. I got the buffalo chicken and cheese... honestly... the cheese is where it's at! Yum! Good to see a place like this when I'm craving home pizza. Now I don't have to wait until my annual trips to NY to get it.
google avatar

Trent N.

Yelp
This place is packed during lunch and it's quick to order on the kiosk. Your order will be filled in 5 minutes or less. Here's how I rate the slices as all of them are $4.50 per slice: 9/10 Meat Lovers 8.5/10 Chicken Parm 7/10 BBQ Chicken Bacon 0/10 Chicken Bacon Ranch The slices are literally bigger than my forearm. I've tried almost all of the pizzas here and like the 2 above best.
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
We did Uber eats . . . New York style pizza is my favorite and I was so excited to try this new spot! I got the Bianca and a regular cheese Pizza. When we received our pizza it was cold. Also the crust was like card board. My toddler who loves pizza couldn't even chew it because it was like eating chalk. The Bianca is promising flavor wise but the overcooked pizza made it not edible.
google avatar

LaShawn H.

Yelp
Eddie and Sam's pretty much is the closest you'll get to nyc pizza in downtown Tampa. The slice is a good size for $4.21 after taxes. I'm from Queens and I've heard about NY water making pizza dough taste better but I've also had Goodfellas in Orlando and they never made that a selling point. Anyway I had it yesterday and the sauce wasn't as good as last week but I ate my slice. Overall it's the closest you'll get to a NYC slice in this area. They are closed on Tuesday FYI. I'm probably going to try their white slice soon and see how that hits. Decent pizza and decent prices-get a slice from Eddie and Sam's.
google avatar

Megan V.

Yelp
Walking in was a little crowded because people trying to find a seat and order but within minutes it cleared up. It was a little noisy but nothing unbearable. Ordering was a breeze using the touchscreen but if you don't want to use it you can always go up to the counter and order your slices or pie. All the workers were busy working on orders but still took the time to talk to customers and acknowledge them which was nice. We ordered several different slices and they all came out hot and delicious. My fav slice was the lasagna one which was a white slice with sliced meatballs, ricotta, and red sauce on top. Everything tasted great and no matter what you choose I know it's going be good choice. Every time I've come here the food is on point and consistent.

Matt L.

Yelp
Was good pizza. 1 of 2 highly recommended pizza spots I would go to in Tampa. Good sized pizza and the wings were good too.
google avatar

Heather V.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for NY style pizza since moving to the area and Eddie & Sam's is the closest I've gotten thus far. The parking situation isn't the most fun but with the location in a busy downtown area, it's difficult to expect anything more. There's paid street parking or a paid parking lot across the street so you have some options. The ordering process is quite easy; place your order via the kiosk, pay and wait for your name/order to be called on the opposite end. I'd imagine their pies being more fresh than their slices but for a warmed slice it was very good. A nice crisp undercarriage, flavorful sauce, with a light crust. Out of the pepperoni and cheese their pepp got my vote. I don't recall seeing very many dine in options so we took ours to go and enjoyed outside instead. Looking forward to revisiting and giving one of their specialty pies a go.

Yelp
Ordered pizzas for my daughters birthday party at Kendra Scott in Hyde Park. I placed the order online with future date and time for her party. Booked the delivery for Saturday at 11:45am given her party was at noon. They use Doordash to deliver the food. The entire process was seamless! I got an email and text confirmation of my order after placing. The day of, I received a notification text when the order was being picked up then another when the driver was approaching. And then when driver had arrived. They delivered 20 minutes early so good thing I was almost to the store location to take the pizza. The driver was so friendly. I ordered 1 pepperoni and 1 chicken parmigiana pizza. The pepperoni pizza was the 20 inch which was HUGE! I had them cut both into squares to make it easier to eat. Both were very good pizza. My favorite was the chicken parmigiana but the kiddos devoured the pepperoni! Thanks team for making the pizza delicious and helping to add to a wonderful birthday celebration.

Yelp
One of the best NY style pizzas in the world, and I'm not kidding. I travel the world as an international airline pilot and I live in New York City and this is one of the best pizza pies I've ever had.

Yelp
Great food! Huge slices of pizza almost the size of a personal pizza. Super affordable and very filling. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Tampa area.

Yelp
4 stars for a solid choice when craving NY style pizza! My first job was working at a local Italian restaurant, so I'm pretty picky with pizza. We ordered it on Door Dash and it was ready when we arrived. I was impressed bc we ordered it 20 minutes before getting there. The space is much larger inside than the photos on Yelp. There are a few sitting areas with plenty of tables and many tables outside if you'd prefer. We ordered the 14inch meat lovers, $18. It could have been more on the app not sure if you ordered at the shop if it was less. We were definitely satisfied and cured our pizza cravings. I would say, I'd prefer more pepperoni and meatballs, it seemed to have more ham on the pie. All and all, a great spot to dine in or take pizza to go. They even over huge style pizzas for parties!
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
This pizza was massive and we didn't even order the biggest size We love to eat but this pizza was hard to finish The chicken and bbq sauce was really great but it got a little sickening towards the end with all the flavor, which isn't necessarily a bad thing There's usually a line here because it's a popular place We took our box to the riverfront park and ate there. This is a great place to take visitors Service was good
google avatar

Ted K.

Yelp
Got the sausage and mushroom pizza delivered. Ordered through toast. It is New York style and was good don't get me wrong. Perhaps it's not fair because I live near multiple great pizza places here in Upstate New York which I prefer. It certainly would be hard for them to compete with NYC places like Di Fara or John's of Bleecker Street. But it was good. Perhaps it's local bias. I walked by earlier (was raining cats and dogs, as it does in Tampa when it was time for dinner so I got delivery). Perhaps it's a lot better hot out of the oven.

Yelp
This is my spot! When I say "the pizza here is good" I absolutely mean it, you can trust me, I've been eating pizza my whole life, pretty much lol and I've had NY pizza, in NY by the locals, at some of the best hidden spots lol thanks to our family and friends that live there lol and let me tell you... It's true they must get the water from NY because the Bianca pepperoni was yum! The supreme sooo good! The crust so flaky and delicious! Ugh now I want a slice! I have been to this place a couple of times before and yes I will make the drive to Tampa just for a delicious slice of amazing zzzA! They have different sizes and you can walk in a buy a slice or pre order your pizza and they will have it ready for you! There's a sitting area as well. I didn't see any alcohol lol so I don't think they sell it. I always come to pick up my food , I have yet to dine in here. There's a parking spot right across the restaurant and since it's downtown it's not free ... so pre order and pick up quick. Lol

Yelp
I don't eat bread or meat usually but I needed the best pizza the city has to offer for my sister's big birthday party. I thought the large artesian pizzas a bit expensive but I needed the perfect pizza and I figured at this price, with these reviews, I found it. The first sign something was different: I had to pay the delivery guy extra to bring it up to the party room at The Towers. I only ordered 8 pizzas-is that weird I thought? The pizzas arrive and they were: amazing....and gigantic!!!! Lol! I have never tasted such a delicious, ridiculously huge pizza in my life! My friends took whole boxes home. We all had a blast attempting to hold the full boxes up for a picture. All good, I workout! Haha.

Yelp
If you're looking for NY pizza, this is the closest I've had. I really enjoyed it, especially the price. Not exactly like what you'd get in Brooklyn but it's the closest I've found in the Tampa Bay. It's definitely worth a try. The restaurant is busy and they are fast. We had the medium size and it had 6 slices. Plenty for 3 adults. This is a good restaurant for a quick bite of pizza. I'm glad I found it.

Yelp
We finally found a parking across the street from location 12 dollars to park crazy then went inside it's a old building and kinda smelly I could smell a sewage smell and all the table were dirty and floors too and garbage overflowing the pizza oven area looked clean and organized lots of good looking pizza so I got one of each to taste and so wanted to like them but it was all terrible oil taste bad cheese was terrible and cold and soggy!!!!! And the slices ate bid cuts but there tasted awful very disappointed and it was expensive which is ok if it's good but big fail in taste and small note saw nothing that looked like a Italian New York pizza place this place was a knock off pizza place sorry but not a good choice!!!!nice try but not

Yelp
Love the eggplant pie here! Staff is so polite and kept calling me ma'am... which I love and hate all at the same time lol. This place is great!! Super chill atmosphere.

Yelp
The guy who keeps ranking this the best pizza in Tampa probably has pasty skin, wears a Wu Tang shirt and keys Teslas. Christ, man. The pizza has great flavor until you get to the crust. I've never had a crust in my life like this. It has 0 taste. I'm serious. Try it. Eat the crust. This must be what stale bland bread tasted like 2000 years ago. Can you guys get some pizza reviewers who have actually left downtown Tampa to crown the best pizza? Not this nerd who drinks sour beers.

Yelp
My flight to Tampa was delayed and I had to be up early the next morning so I was looking for a quick dinner spot. After perusing Yelp, I decided upon Eddie & Sam's NY Pizza. I was born in New York and I have traveled to the city many of times so I know a good slice of 'za when I see one. After Ubering to the spot, I got dropped off in downtown Tampa and walked in. They have kiosks at the front where you can put in your order and pay. They'll then call your name when your order is ready. I always like when a pizza joint offers slices because that way, you can get a good variety. I ordered a soft drink, a slice of pepperoni to-go, and two creative slices for my dine-in experience. Chicken parm pizza and lasagna pizza. While popular Italian dishes, these are not pizza slices I've ever seen anywhere else. The pizza is exactly what it sounds like. The chicken parm slice had breaded cutlet, slices, marinara sauce, and parmesan. The lasagna slice had the same meat you would find in a lasagna along with ricotta. Eddie & Sam's is a casual spot but they do pizza right. It was delicious. And authentic. While we're talking about authenticity, on my Uber ride back, the driver told me that Eddie & Sam's import water from New York to make the dough. Apparently this makes a difference in the ultimate outcome of the pizza. Great spot if you're looking for some good pizza and potentially Tampa's best.

Yelp
My son (he's 15) and I went here based on yelp reviews. We were not disappointed. Pizza was fantastic, the rush of people, noise and activity is 100% New York. If we were in town longer, we would go back.
