"For $49 per person, visitors get hand-carved roasted turkey, sage stuffing, brown gravy, and cranberry relish, as well as two side options, an appetizer, dessert. Kids eat for $24 and the regular dinner is also available. Catering is also available for those who want to host from the comfort of their homes." - Serena Maria Daniels

"Six employees at a Bloomfield Hills steakhouse have walked off the job for fostering an alleged racist work environment. According to a lawsuit filed against Eddie Merlot’s and the restaurant’s general manager Curtis Nordeen, sous chef James Gaines, who is Black, and his co-workers claim they warned Nordeen in July that if he did not stop making racist comments, they would walk off the job. Instead, staff allege that Nordeen refused to change his behavior and offered workers a raise to stay. Nordeen allegedly joked about shoving watermelon down the throats of Black children, mocked Sunday church hats worn by Black women, accusing Black customers of being on drugs, and made other racially charged commentary, according to the complaint. He’s also accused of implementing “Jim Crow segregation” by seating Black and white customers separately, according to the filing, saying he wanted Black servers to serve Black customers “because it made him feel more comfortable than having Caucasian servers do so.”" - Serena Maria Daniels

My family & I took my dad here for Father’s Day yesterday & we had such a great time! We ordered the: Tomahawk special, rack of Lamb, Chilean Sea Bass, & Salmon, with additional sides, and everything was phenomenal! We also ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream & we were so glad decided to order dessert. Our waiter, John S. was very polite, friendly, he had great menu recommendations, he communicated with us during our entire evening, he made sure our first time experience wouldn’t be our last..& we will definitely be back!! Thank you John for being apart of making my dad’s day special. It really meant a lot to us. When we come back, we hope you are able to serve us again!

We didn't have reservations, but decided to stop up on a Friday night for a birthday celebration. We waited a short time before we were shown to a table. They were busy and there was a large party present so we had to wait a bit before we were greeted. Upon meeting our server Lindsay she immediately thanked us for our patience and let us know that from that point on she was done with her party and was focused on us...and she was. Lindsay was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, made great suggestions and made our experience very memorable and enjoyable. We ordered the bourbon ribeye that was just the right balance of sweet and savory and the grilled romaine salad is to die for! It was such a dichotomy of flavors and textures that went so well together. And the carrot cake...so heavenly. Mark also assisted us and was just as friendly and funny. We spoke to David on the way out to tell him what a great team he had, it's clear that he is a good leader who was just as friendly as the rest of his team.

Wonderful upscale restaurant. A group of 7 friends went there after an event for dessert & drinks. Most of the specialty drinks are about $15. The desserts were huge & delicious. The first photo was a very large piece of carrot cake. The second was a scrumptious brownie dessert for 2. It was prepared at the table with cognac & a flame. It had ice cream, fudge, custard & pecans. That dessert was the most expensive at $18. Definitely a special occasion dessert.

The dining experience was truly enjoyable, offering a delightful ambiance. The meal was well-prepared and satisfying to the palate. A rating of four out of five stars seems appropriate for the overall quality. The atmosphere was conducive to both romantic evenings and productive meetings. The service provided enhanced the pleasant dining experience. This establishment appears to be a versatile choice for various occasions. It's definitely a place worth recommending to others seeking a pleasant outing. We hope to return soon for another enjoyable experience.

I dined by myself this time at the bar and had a wonderful dinner. I tried the Dover Sole for the first time that was debone in front of me. Even though there were still several bones I had to watch out for, the fish was delicious. The bartender Scott made my Burnt Orange Manhattan and Lemon Drop perfectly. I will definitely be back soon.

I ate here with large group a few weeks ago for my girlfriend’s college graduation. We had a reservation ahead of time, but the restaurant was not super busy when we were there. The food was very good and everyone loved what they ordered. I had the wagyu ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. Our table ordered a variety of sides, our favorite being the sweet potatoes. We had great drinks and service as well! Highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband made reservations here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and couldn’t have been happier! Our server, Nick, did an excellent job taking care of us :) He ensured we had everything we needed and made the evening special. We found out the meats are all dry aged, hence why they are cooked to perfection! We got free dessert on the house and Nick gave us bunch of mini Tobasco sauces to take home. Most definitely will be coming back!

Worst experience fine dining ever!!!!! I celebrated my birthday here on 3/2/25 with 7 guest. I made reservations at least 3-5 days in advance. Came at 7 and we waited over 2 hours for our food. Only to receive cold truffle fries , hair in my friends steak, and my best friend’s wife ordered the filet medallions to be medium well, they came out damn near raw twice! In the defense of the restaurant they did comp my bill for the drinks , and took the steak off of my friends final Individualized bill. They also gave me a free desert and the manager Jason was extremely nice. Mind you this is a Saturday night it was busy but it wasn’t THAT busy at 7pm , my waiter Kristen was extremely nice and accommodating, she kept making excuses for the wait, but in reality there is no excuse if I made reservations to let you anticipate 7-8 guest. Other reviews have had similar complaints. I really only went here because a buddy of mine suggested trying somewhere new for my birthday. I hesitated writing this review because i did really want to like this establishment. I am unsure if I would go back but it the establishment reached out to me I’m sure we could come to terms. Food wise I had the brown sugar steak medium well. My wife had the New York strip. Both were decent steaks but not like mind blowing. The bread is okay, calamari, dynamite shrimp, and truffle fries I enjoyed. Filet mignion pot stickers I would pass not worth the bread. We spent $250-$300 bucks for some mid. I will never forget how I was treated. To top it all off , valet outside ( separate company / vendor ) tells me upon arrival valet is $10 and he works on tips.. younger Caucasian gentleman. I got a tip young man , focus on providing a good service / experience to make someone want to tip you! Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid 💯

Yelp
The service was lovely. The food on the other hand was underwhelming. My steak was over cooked and my salad was missing the cheese and tomatoes. The salad included mixed greens, red onions and overcooked filet for $29. They tried to make up for it by recooking a new steak, but honestly, I could have made a better steak salad at home. I didn't realize what else was missing until I looked over the menu after the meal was over, or I would have mentioned it. This was all disappointing when I was hoping for an elevated meal on a date night.

Yelp
5 stars for their Happy Hour! I hadn't been here before but the HH menu looked great & it was Galentine's (Feb 13th) The bartenders are fantastic and so are the cocktails: Berry White martini top choice! We had the filet mignon sliders $15, filet mignon pot stickers and ahi over tuna wontons both $10 and all are a great deal I don't eat meat but my friend loved the filets and I loved the ahi tuna- really good deal for $10 This is def the best HH spot in the area- full cocktail list $5 off during HH!

Jeff L.

Yelp
The service was very slow and inattentive. The waitress got a table of ten and essentially forgot about us. The steak that was ordered was cooked over well done when it was ordered medium rare - they did recook it and I was able to eat it after my dinner companion was dubbed eating her food - and we had finished the sides. The ambience is nice, but the booth we sat in had holes in the seats. We did pay with gift cards, yet the bill was less than the gift card and the waitress never returned with the remaining balance. To be honest - Texas Roadhouse cooks a better steak. This place is lacking in many aspects of service and food preparation.

Yelp
I don't know if I would call this an upscale restaurant in terms of quality and taste of food. The ambiance is nice and the servers are nice. The sourdough bread w the whipped butter was great. However, save your money and go somewhere else. The potato au gratin were undercooked potatoes, the crab lobster bisque soup tasted like someone made soup out of sour cream and milk, and the asparagus looked like someone boiled it (overcooked). There are much better steak restaurants than here.

Diana E.

Yelp
It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer. We opted not to order dinner after hearing a couple next to us tell the bartender it took way too long to get their dinner. When we left I noticed all the tables were waiting for food. It was a sad ending to what was suppose to be a birthday dinner.

Alex O.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience here! I came for a private dinner reception so my review is based on that. The private room was very clean and well decorated making for a nice ambiance. The staff was very friendly and really knew the menu well! I ordered from a limited menu but none of the courses disappointed. The bread was fresh and warm. I had a Caesar salad which was tasty and then a bowl of the bisque which was delicious! For the main course I had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly and tender. The sides were asparagus, mac n cheese and scalloped potatoes. All were tasty and paired well with the steak. I finished the evening with the creme brûlée which had a perfect vanilla texture and a crispy top. I will definitely be going back to dine in the main restaurant!

Yelp
I made my Valentine's day reservation a month in advance. The earliest time available was 8:45pm. They definitely overbooked the restaurant. We had to wait 15 minutes PAST our reservation time for our table. They did give us complimentary champagne while waiting. Once we got seated, they forgot to give us our complimentary bread and butter--we had to ask for it after 20 minutes of being seated. There was something floating in my water glass, so I naturally asked for a fresh one. The new glass still had something in it. We had to wait 2 to 3 hours for our food. Like I said in the beginning, they overbooked the restaurant. Our waiter informed us they also had many takeout/carry out orders to cook. What they should've done is told people on the phone/website that they stop taking carry out orders after a specific time. Our poor waiter felt horrible and it was obviously not his fault. Just poor management. We noticed that other diners were visibly upset and annoyed by the long wait for their meals. My husband and I had other plans after dinner too. But we could not go because the long wait interfered. They gave us 2 free desserts and took off my husband's drink from the bill to make up for it. We decided to take the dessert home instead because we didn't want to be there any longer. Best part of the free dessert was finding a hair in it. And no, it was not mine or my husband's hair because it was wedged in between the cake layers. Also, a couple lights above us kept flickering. Bothered us a little bit. Valentine's day is actually my husband and l's anniversary from when we first became a couple. So management should make everything as great as possible when it comes to specific holidays like this.

Yelp
We have been to Eddie Merlot Restaurant for special occasions going back for years. For the most part we have always had a good experience. This time we went for my birthday. They did not have the table set up with the rose petals or my card before we sat down, so the waitress was doing it as we were sitting down, which I thought was unprofessional. For the most part, our server was good and attentive. However, the kitchen was delayed cooking steaks and it took a very long time for our entrées and sides to come out. One of our sides, the broccoli, was cold. We had ordered the lobster mashed potatoes and they were not very good at all for the money that it cost for them. The manager was apologetic and helpful when there was a delay in our food and offered us free desserts, which was nice. My husband had to send back his steak because it was medium rare rather than medium. For dessert, we got the carrot cake and the peanut butter cup. The peanut butter cup was my husband's all-time favorite dessert but tonight this time it tasted off. It seemed like they changed the recipe. When we asked the waitress about it she said she was new and didn't know if it was changed, but she would tell the chef. Honestly for the money that we spent on this dinner even with the comped desserts and a $25 birthday certificate I had it was still much more than it should've cost for that level of a meal and service.

Yelp
Visited Eddie Merlot's last night (Sat) with another couple. Our reservations were for 8pm. We were seated by 8:15. We left at 11pm!!!! Our server Kristi was very nice and upfront. She explained that the kitchen was backed up. It took an hour for bread to come out. Another hour for apps. We finally got our dinner around 10pm. My ribeye was undercooked but had no energy to complain. Come on Eddie Merlot's. Unacceptable. Do better!!!

Yelp
So we received a gift card last year for Christmas and decided to give this place a try. I found the food to be good. We ordered 12oz fillet and a side of King Crab. We also ordered the tuna tart for an appetizer which I thought was fantastic. And the au gratin potatoes. the potatoes were good, but they were absolutely drowned in butter and my only other complaint was the crab was not cut enough for me to get the meat out. Our bill with tip was $240.. that was with one drink. I'm not sure I would return for that price, but it was a nice experience.. I should also mention we ordered carrot cake, which was the showstopper. The size of it was huge, and the taste was amazing. Definitely enough for 2 to 4 people.

K L.

Yelp
Kiych was horrible . Kitchen unprepared to make a salad for our celebration. Waitress was great but they kept sending her out with excuses. I felt very bad for her position I don't understand at 5pm how they weren't prepped for dinner service

Nick K.

Yelp
Amazing very tender steaks. Nice ambiance. Waitstaff, Ryan, was outstanding! He really explained the menu, had some good suggestions and really took good care of us. Effie's is a great place for a special occasion or just nice place for a relaxing family meal.

Brian E.

Yelp
First off, I'm not a "fine dining" kind of guy. I greatly prefer a vibrant food hall, an outdoor food truck scene or a local hidden gem that cares less about the experience and more about the food. For me, the food is the experience. I want to taste the passion that goes into the dishes. I want something unique or exceptional. I don't want boring, homogenized menu items that taste the same all across the country. Needless to say, corporate, chain, high dollar steakhouses just aren't my scene. I'm not impressed by extensive wine lists, i find a la carte pricing annoying, i hate valet only parking and I'm a pretty good home chef, I think i cook a better steak. The only time I find myself in places like this is when I'm attending a corporate event in their private dining spaces. Recently I attended such an event and Eddie's pretty much lived up to my expectations. I had a house salad...nothing special (though) the croutons were nice. An interesting combination of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. An 8 oz filet. It was fine, cooked properly but not well seasoned and a little bland. It came with mashed potatoes but those weren't exciting either. The one food that was exciting was the fresh bread. If I rated EM's on the bread alone, they'd be beyond 5*! It came to the table warm, topped with a wonderful seasoning and a side of softened whipped butter that melted when applied to the bread...that was great. The waitstaff was a highlight as well. Super attentive. If you're into "Fancy" steak houses, you'll probably like this place. But if given the choice, I know I'd enjoy a meal down the road at Hunter House way more than EM's

Yelp
Went here to get a bite to eat and decided to a bite to eat at Eddie Merlot's. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Isabelle D and Scot G. Both did an excellent job on making suggestions for cocktails and food. Their service was really solid and they were cordial, polite, and very professional with all the guests in the bar. The drinks were well done and the food was very good and cooked as ordered. If you are looking for a casual dinner in a nice environment, go to Eddie Merlot's and be sure to ask for Isabelle D or Scott G in the bar. You'll be glad you did.

Joe S.

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday night and sat in the bar. We were greeted by Scot G. He was very welcoming. He inquired about cocktails and quickly got our orders handled. We ordered food and Scot G offered excellent suggestions which we followed (we both got their cheeseburger). The burgers were served quickly and were cooked to the correct doneness. Isabelle O and Scot G were very attentive to all the bar patrons and were very friendly and pleasant. I recommend when looking for a nice casual meal, go to Eddie Merlot's and sit at the bar. If Scot G or Isabelle D are taking care of you, you will be in great hands.

Yelp
We thought we will just try Eddie Merlot because it's close by at Valentine's Day, was booked at 10:00 pm. Seated around 10:20 after some wait time, everything started to feel a little worrying from there, a couple walked up and told us they have been there for 4 hours and finally got their food, another said the food was not cooked when they arrive so they left. ..we ordered glasses of wine and they never showed up after half an hour. Some bread and water did arrive but that was close to 11:00 ( the restaurant closes at 11:00pm) so we decide to go home. Overall It seems to the staff is overwhelmed and poor management with the beautiful and ground setting. Thought this is because of Valentine's Day but Just read a review from days ago similar things happened. A pity.

Wyatt R.

Yelp
Worst dining experience I have ever had. Made a reservation for 7:00. The MANAGER brought us to a table and then realized it was not clean, has us waiting there then brought us to a new table. 45 minutes for an appetizer (four shrimp) to come and then waited an hour and a half for food that did not come, had to ask for the food to be boxed up and they still tried to charge us 50% of the meal after being there for TWO AND A HALF HOURS without ever getting a meal. I'm honestly shocked I have never had a worse dining experience, let alone when management knew it was a celebration.

Jasmine A.

Yelp
10/10 every single time. Absolutely love the staff, food and atmosphere. Its our go to spot for celebrating special events

Jen L.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Server was great, very personable and efficient. It was crowded on a Saturday night. Food was okay. Spinach dip was only okay but steak and the peanut butter cup dessert were tasty. Would return. Beware that it's very pricey.

Becki B.

Yelp
Hubs and I chose to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary here last weekend, and it was excellent! First I had to acknowledge that I'm old, and work a lot of hours. Since I started work last Saturday at 6am, I didn't want a dinner reservation at, well, dinner time. So 4:45pm was our chosen dinner. Okay, MY chosen dinner. I did spend a few minutes at work perusing the menu. I ended up with the Filet Del Mar, and as a chef's favorite special, it also came with a caesar salad. For the main meal, it was a cute lil 4oz file, with crab spread on it, grilled shrimp, and some fingerling potatoes. AH-MAZING! I loved every bite, although the entree felt me-sized (I don't eat much, but I polished this off - people who eat normally may want to get a side to go with). Hubs enjoyed the larger filet, with a side of asparagus (okay, I may have helped with some of those). He said the filet was the best he's had in YEARS. For dessert we shared a bourbon chocolate cake that has some whipped cream, and they lit it on fire. I'm a big fan of fire. Oh, they also had an anniversary card waiting when we got to our table. How sweet is that??

Mike M.

Yelp
We arrived at 4:29pm on Christmas Day for a 4:30 reservation.. the 3 young hostesses asked us to wait in their seemingly too big waiting area (why have such a big waiting area if you can only get in there if we make a reservation), at 4:50 we were seated ( keep in mind. They only hold your table for 15 minutes if you're late but they make you wait 20 minutes if you're on time.), menu's given, no waitress for 13 minutes. We ordered French 75 and the waitress came to the table with the martini shaker and poured it at the table, but most of it went on the tablecloth and she just left it. I won't get into how long it took to get someone to actually take our order and bring out the food but when it came out, everything was cold, including the brussels sprouts, which were undercooked the broccoli which was cold and the entrée of fillet mashed potatoes, cajun shrimp were less than room temperature. I flagged down the manager on his way by and asked him to microwave my plate and he gave me attitude, but did it and then when he brought it back, he just laid it in front of me and kept on walking with an attitude. Once she laid down the bill and didn't ask us if we wanted anything else, it took her 16 minutes to come and get my credit card. She might've went home for a nap. I'm not sure. The single worst experience at a five-star restaurant I've ever had. There was more food getting sent back to the kitchen from other patrons, then was coming out of the kitchen. If you start putting a 20 or 25% tip on the bill, you could correct all this stuff and improve the clientele. When your clientele inherently doesn't tip, the entire weight staff becomes cynical to every patron not just the segment that doesn't tip.

Tamara M.

Yelp
The food was very good! The appetizers we had were delicious and the Rockefeller are a must have for sure. Couldn't stop eating the sweet and spicy shrimp! We had steaks and they were cooked very well, tender and juicy. Our drinks were really good in the first round but a bit stronger in the next round but the waiter changed them for us. The ambiance is ok, a bit old and outdated but nonetheless cute.

Colleen O.

Yelp
Moriah was a wonderful server! Attentive and very pleasant! The food was great! Very nice ambiance.

James M.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful experience Friday night I just had to come on here and let everyone know. Our server Justin went above and beyond to make sure everything went off without a hitch for our anniversary celebration and was very attentive. Great appetizer recommendations, cocktails, steaks and desserts. Couldn't have asked for a better evening, thank you again!

A U.

Yelp
A TURKEY BONE IN MY MASHED POTATOES!!! yes, I'm very serious. do your teeth a favor and Do NOT eat at this location. My first and last time. Please, go to Fogo De Chao in Troy or Inyo in Ferndale if you're looking for quality meat or seafood (Some of my local faves that do not disappoint) After addressing the manager and waiter about the bone, they didn't attempt to rectify it. You could have at least taken off the $6.50 San Pellegrino for heaven's sake.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Was the steak good? Yeah! It was. The filet with the scampi was a little chewy but good for the price? Did it take a long time for the food to come out? Yes. Live music was cool! I feel like the inside could use some updates. Overall was good! Would I recommended it? No (but I'm a chain hater)

Jade K.

Yelp
Our waitress piper was superb! I have a severe dairy allergy to everything she introduced dishes I could consume and helped me keep safe other places usually don't care but she did! Thank you Eddie merlots! You are 100% something I will mention to others!

Jeremy N.

Yelp
The classiest way to spend a birthday! My wife took me here for my birthday and it was an absolute experience. The decor when you walk in is quite impressive, so you know you're going to have a great time as soon as you walk in. The menu has a really good amount of selections. From different steaks, seafood and the separate sides. During our stay, we each got a wine flight, lobster bisque soup & french onion soup, steak with lobster on top, shrimp, and a mac and cheese side. It was a quite filling, and because it was my birthday, I got a nice dessert too!

Kristin C.

Yelp
We go to Eddie Merlot's every Christmas Eve for 6 years now, and it never disappoints. I have no idea what it costs (a lot, but my husband handles that). All I know is the food and wine and bread and appetizers are all amazing; my family loves it, including my teenagers. We order appetizers, several Filet Mignons, some seafood, several family-style sides, a bottle of wine, etc. And did I mention the bread??? OMG. They also accommodate our requests for certain seating, which is great. This year we were served by Nick who was excellent, and a sommelier who was knowledgable and fun to chat with. Im always amazed to recognize other staff from our visits in years past who are still working there every year on Christmas Eve. That is a good sign that they treat their employees well. I am always thankful that they make it a wonderful evening for us, full of great memories, year after year! These folks spend their entire night serving others on the most celebrated holiday. Thank you, Eddie Merlot's!

Deanna D.

Yelp
We came back here after talking with the manager about my review and concerns. They addressed them and then more with giving us a gift card to come back. We decided let's try them again for our anniversary celebration. So we did and hands down they delivered. We were seated in the lounge area with live music which had a nice ambiance to it. The waiter Nick was phenomenal. Very attentive and definitely made up for the time that was not so good. I would definitely come back here after this lovely experience. Thank you so much.

Elena M.

Yelp
Came here expecting a quality steak, fine drink and friendly service. The first sign of trouble was when the salad was brought out with the wrong dressing on top. Then followed by undercooked and unevenly cooked steaks (they took back our steaks 3 times and still couldn't get it right, blue steaks each time). The baked potatoes came out cold. The spinach artichoke dip was mostly just greasy cheese. And on top of it the manager made us feel like the bad guys for wanting just a decent meal, when this isn't a cheap place by any means. The waitress felt very bad and tried her best to make it better. At this point the whole meal should've been comped and the bill was still 400 bucks even after 2 of the steaks and both baked potatoes were taken off. I'll be finishing my night at McDonald's.

Bob K.

Yelp
Eddie Merlots is a good restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. The food is very good but I'd recommend sticking with the steaks as that is their specialty. I tried the sea bass and it was good, not great. My guest had the lemon chicken and said it was good but I didn't try it. Service the night i was there was sufficient. Perhaps not quite attentive enough. From a price point perspective, it's in line with other high end steakhouses and seafood restaurants but frankly falls a bit short when compared. I think it really boils down to what you order and who you get for your server.

Kimberlee U.

Yelp
My Husband and I use Eddie Merlot's for our celebration restaurant. We went there New Year's Eve and didn't have a very good experience. It started out with the entrees coming out before we finished our salads. I ordered the surf and turf $79 and the waiter forgot to bring the drawn butter so the lobster was cold and they didn't even light the candle so the butter was cold. I also ordered the corn crab soup and it was terrible. It was so watered down and had a tangy flavor that it never had before. Remember, we are regulars. It took forever for the staff to clear the table and they never used a crumb sweeper on the table. Isn't that part of fine dinning?? They sat us in the room for banquets and I disliked it. I asked could they start the gas fireplace twice and it never happened. This would have helped the ambiance but I guess it's not important to them anymore. I may have to find another celebrate place!!!

Kendall A.

Yelp
I gave this 5 star because the food was amazing and I love it. the staff was so nice the bread was amazingly perfect and you should go here for a birthday or a special occasion!!!!. oh and thanks Ashley!

Haya O.

Yelp
Fancy restaurant. Really good food. Alot of conferences are done at this place as its spacious. No outdoor seatings

Sue J.

Yelp
Our server Mikail S. was fantastic! We made a special connection talking about S. africa! great meal and service!

Ronald M.

Yelp
The food and service was exceptional My first time at Lincolnshire restaurant, our waiter, Adam, was very professional and knowledgeable. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't feel forgotten or over looked.

Faith T.

Yelp
Jared was our waiter. We had him before. He's beyond excellent. We specifically requested Jared and had an amazing dinner and excellent service. Thank you Jared and Eddie Merlots. We'll be back soon. Faith and Jim

Yelp
We went to celebrate my mother's birthday. We had reservations and when they walked us to the table, they were about to seat us next to the kitchen where the servers were running in and out. There were other tables so I asked to be moved. They made us stand next to the table while the hostess went to check something. There were 3 open tables so I couldn't understand why she needed to go back to the host stand. She came back and sat us at another open table. They DID have a nice birthday card for my mom and then sprinkled rose petals onto the table when we sat down. The restaurant is new but the decor is very 80's with light colored wood and beige and brown colors throughout. Our server was kind but not very attentive. She did not bring us bread - they have amazing bread! - we had to ask for it. The menu has a nice variety. I had the filet mignon potstickers as a starter. While they were okay, the meat inside was very pink. Thats the only thing that was different about them so nothing unique. I had the Lemon Dijon Chicken for an entree. The chicken was very dry, the potatoes were lukewarm and the asparagus was very skinny and also lukewarm. They treated my mom great for her birthday, aside from the table they tried to seat us at, but the food was just okay. I think they could have done the chicken dish better but my mother enjoyed her steak and shrimp dish. Not sure if I'll go again anytime soon - maybe if they have a seasonal offering in the summer.

Yelp
Our family went to celebrate birthdays. We ordered three different steaks and put on a board. Along with that we also tried carpaccio. The stakes and the carpaccio are all top notch tasty. We enjoyed very much.

Yelp
So sad this place is going down hill. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday, 7 of us. Great waitress! Food took forever! Split a steak with my husband...cut it horizontally, never seen that before! Mashed potatoes were cold and not mashed, did not want to complain, because the food took forever as it was. Have been dining for years, although had been awhile till today, and this was the worst meal ever. Presentation was awful... and the bar was full of dirty dishes and empty glasses. Our waitress did add a free dessert. Yuck!

Yelp
Food was amazing. They got us in for a last minute reservation on valentine's day. Steak was cooked perfectly and all the sides were delicious. Our service was wonderful, I can't remember her name but she was very informative

Yelp
I have been here many times. Tonight will be the last. It has always been hit or miss. For a high end steak house it is sub-par. Just not a good value. I am a steak snob. Tonight 2 steaks were cold. The Waygu filet was undercooked. Side dishes were cold. Crab was severed without a crab mallet. Drinks were blah. Silverware needed to be asked for multiple times. Service was extremely slow taking well over an hour from when ordered. A steak house that cannot consistently serve correctly cooked steak is not worth the trip especially at these prices.

Yelp
We dined here last night for our daughter's birthday. The food was unremarkable, very mediocre for a "high end" steak house. I was expecting great things after the description given by our server about the excellence of the dishes. Firstly, at 7:00pm -10:15pm it was a Monday and the restaurant was empty except for a couple of other tables in the main dining room, and one large party in the banquet room. That should have tipped us off. Despite this, our service was very slow. There were long periods of waiting between courses, for drinks, to be asked how everything was, and for clearing our dishes. I watched trainees being shown how to look for water spots on glasses just a couple of tables away in the empty room while we sat with dirty dishes in front of us, waiting for our dessert. Our surf and turf meals came out just warm. The oysters were not properly shucked. They were still attached to the shells causing us to have to scrape each one out. (A little thing, but annoying.) The calamari was crispy but flavorless. I'm not sure how to describe it, but all the food was just "good" but not at the level to match the expense. The wine recommendation was just ok, and the wine list looked overpriced for those names I recognized. The table was too small for 4 people. I have had much better dinners at steak houses that are half the price. Clawson Steakhouse beats this place hands down. If you are going to spend $500 for 4 people you are better off going to Ruth's Chris or Capital Grill... or pretty much anywhere else. All that being said we were very polite and my husband still left a generous tip. I don't think they would have any idea about our disappointment unless they see this review. I'm adding to this review because I saw that someone was comped a dessert and flowers on their birthday, and want to mention that didn't happen for our daughter. They charged us for her piece of birthday cake. Just saying.

Yelp
Thanksgiving meal was very disappointing. Our reservation was 5:45 and we waited in the bar area for a very long time before we were seated ( I believe it was 7:30). Not sure why that happened? Food was horrible( Turkey roll and stovetop stuffing). The one compliment we can give is the waitress she was awesome. Her name is Kristen.

Yelp
We had a really nice family dinner here. I was pleased to find out they do have a kids menu because there isn't one listed on their website, so luckily my kids were able to get their chicken tenders and fries lol our server Lindsey was wonderful, she made great recommendations and did a really great job serving us. The fresh bread and butter is delicious. For appetizers we had the calamari, spicy shrimp, and steak wontons. We enjoyed them all but spicy shrimp could have used more sauce or sriracha . The chopped salad and wedge salad were both very good. I had the lamb chops for dinner from the seasonal menu and they were cooked perfectly medium rare. Seasoned well and just delicious. The mashed potatoes with lobster were great, so were the tempura green beans. Overall a lovely meal that we really enjoyed. My one gripe was the lack of parking and sort of being forced to valet (which is $10 and cash only).

Yelp
Went there for out 17yr anniversary. Soup and drinks were good. Didn't care for the steak. Our service was superb. Would go back for drinks and dessert.

Yelp
Came to celebrate my friends birthday and so glad she picked it. Anna our server was friendly and did a great job making sure we had the experience we wanted. Food was amazing and ours steaks were cooked perfectly. Everything tasted fresh so you could enjoy each course without feeling overstuffed. Every course came out at a good pace that we didn't feel rushed or waited too long between each course. Prices can be $$$$ but for a special occasion night out it was worth it for a treat.
