A (Brief) History Of London’s Best Snacks - London - The Infatuation

"In the pyramid of London’s best snacks - best being defined by availability, mass enjoyment, and regularity of craving - fried chicken is surely on top. It’s one of the city’s foundations and everyone has their favourite shop. Eden’s hot wings have always been a go-to. Crisp and peppery, yet eminently suckable, there aren’t many better ways to spend a few quid." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

The Best Fried Chicken In London - London - The Infatuation

"Even if your go-to chicken shop order is a burger or strips, there’s no way you want to miss out on the hot wings at Eden’s Cottage. In fact, if you’re around Finsbury Park and getting your hot wings somewhere else, you’re missing out. They’re consistently excellent at this glowing chicken shop. The bread coating is never greasy, there’s always the perfect amount of crunch, and the chicken itself packs the kind of subtle heat you only get with an expert marinade." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager

Eden’s Cottage - Review - Finsbury Park - London - The Infatuation

"Even if your go-to chicken shop order is pieces, a burger, or strips, there’s no way you want to miss out on the hot wings at Eden’s Cottage. In fact, if you’re around Finsbury Park and getting your hot wings somewhere else, you’re missing out. They’re consistently excellent at this low-key takeaway - the bread coating is never greasy, there’s always the perfect amount of crunch, and the chicken itself packs the kind of subtle heat you only get with an expert marinade. That you can still get six for just £3 is an added extra, and if you do come here, you should probably know that their crunchy fries are some of the best chicken shop chips we’ve ever had." - Oliver Feldman

Where to Find the Best Fried Chicken in London | Eater London

"When Elijah Quashie’s YouTube series ‘The Pengest Munch’ went viral in 2016, Eden Cottage regulars were furious. Since the glowing review began to cause a stir, business has been booming at the Finsbury Park chicken shop, with prices having marginally increased. A ‘strip burger’, three spicy wings and regular fries now costs £2.49, rather than £1.99. Nonetheless, the strip burger remains a must try. Fries are disappointing but the chicken wings are succulent, crispy and aggressively seasoned: arguably some of London’s best." - Jonathan Hatchman

Decided to eat here as I was in the area and recommended to try it. I’ve been here before but it was years ago and the food was good at the time. Unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in any chicken shop. All the unused tables were very dirty, with eaten chicken wastage left on the table, greasy oil, dirty issues etc. The customer service was absolutely disgusting!! I asked one of the staff members if they could clean the table and they just gave so much attitude, like they were doing me a favour. The ordering system is a joke. They have an electronic ordering system, which doesn’t work properly, so you have to constantly ask the staff to help. The worst part is, you have to order through the machine but have to pay at the counter, no logic whatsoever. Waited almost 20 mins for a chicken fillet burger meal. The burger itself was piping hot but the bun construction disintegrated upon picking up due to a really hot chicken fillet burger and cold bun. The price to quality ratio was poor. They lacked any sauces, presentation of the burger wasn’t the greatest. Also, what’s the point of being a chicken shop if you don’t even have sauces!!! The shop had air con but it wasn’t put on. Shop was baking, seating was poor. I’d recommended staying away from this place!

This is by far the worst experience i’ve ever had with ordering food, sent the wrong items and the sauce went all over the drink… on the receipt it CLEARLY says mirinda strawberry and burger sauce which you have to pay extra for but they sent me an off brand cola, ketchup and mayo?? can they not read english or are they just taking the absolute mick? also, look at how many fries they gave me! literally only 10 fries😂 how is this okay? fuming isn’t even the word, they have no respect for their customers and just send wrong items on purpose… never order from here if you know what’s good for you.

Based on the high road so it’s very easy to find and it is buggy accessible unlike the other stores in this road. Lots of affordable deals going on, brightly lit, spacious and plenty of seating, on top of that they have a self service machine which I’ve never seen in other chicken and chip shops which showed me how modern they are. The chicken burger felt like the bun got much smaller but the taste was ok, however the wings and chips were below average as the wings were big but felt oily and didn’t taste like chicken and the chips didn’t taste legit it tasted and felt cheap. Not to mention the Ketchup being incredibly sweet. However the service was quick and the person behind the till did take cash. The store was busy with Deliveroo drivers. You won’t find anything with his pricing in this day and age but the quality wasn’t the bus.

If i could give a 0 i would got served by a girl black hijab. She was very disrespectful and rude. No customer service aired me for 10 minutes. I asked for a fork and gave it with the top her hands were not washed. I also asked for sauces politely and she was so aggressive. I had to shout for her to hear me which is something id never do. Dont recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly I used to order from this place a lot but today made me never want to order again. I’m allergic to sesame. I always get the same thing 20 chicken wings and a 5 chicken wing meal. Today when I ordered instead of receiving my chicken wings I received 2 sesame burger meals. Because of my allergies I couldn’t even eat the other stuff because I was scared of cross contamination of the sesame being in the same bag as the chips. When I called the restaurant they didn’t answer uber eats still haven’t contacted me for the refund. If you have allergies like me DO NOT ORDER from this establishment.

Really good value for the quality. The chicken burger meal with chips and drink costs only £5. The food is good and the chips is very crispy, which I like most. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to everyone.

I bought 2 wings, fries and 1 chicken breast for £1.99, food was tasty and it was the smallest portion of fries I’ve had before but still a good price. Friendly staff but Building needs to be cleaned.

Yelp
Amazing wings. This is the only resturant in London I've been to twice. It was nothing short of amazing. The chips arent the best but you cant go wrong with the wings. Plus it's dirt cheap too.
