Honestly the best kept secret in the area! This place seriously does have the best food - consistently good every time we have visited. Steak cooked perfectly, sides amazing, the creme brulee is chefs kiss! Please try here, it deserves more love.

There is a belief that every town has a restaurant with high quality service, a menu that entices the customer to want to come back for more…That it has an elegant atmosphere, with some of the most courteous well trained staff on site, but for some unknow reason, it remains one of those places that is often viewed as a secret known only to a few. Edgars Grille in Augusta is one such place. The restaurant offers a well laid-out environment that suggests that a romantic dinner is yours for the evening, or a business lunch in an atmosphere that allows for privacy but at the same time still presents a place where business agreements could be made while enjoying an excellent meal. There is a brand name facility in Augusta that offers an excellent Sunday brunch in an excellent intimate atmosphere…Edgars Sunday Brunch is just as intimate with the same excellent service and quality. My recommendation is that you visit Edgars Grille at least once and then form your own opinions and conclusions.

Sunday Brunch. Edgar's Grille has a resort/cruise ship experience for brunch. They offer a great variety from their buffet. We made our first plates and were delighted. It had to be, we had to sample everything, from the hot omelet bar, to the prime rib sliced, to order. The attention to the recipe and the processes were evident. Every single offering was impressive and sometimes exceptional. The strawberry cream cheese and the Creme Brule were exceptionally exceptional. The Creme Brule was like eating a perfect cloud. ..."a perfect cloud" is no way to describe a dessert...yet, it was. We made reservations for 1030am. We were able to beat the crowd. It gets very busy. Dress up a little. We will be back.

My wife and I came here on 13 Feb 2025 for an early Valentine's Day meal (lunch). We enjoyed everything, service, meals, waiters/servers. We learned that in times past, only the super rich or royalty enjoyed the formal dining experience. Goodwill and Helms Culinary Arts students make the dining at Edgar's Grill memorable.

It was me and my husband’s first time eating here we ate there Saturday and we were absolutely blown away! The customer service was amazing which made the experience even better. And the food? So delicious! The lamb chops especially were out of this world — perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Honestly, everything we ordered was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back again!

Google
The steak was off-the-bone delicious, and the chef, hats off to you on a well-prepared steak with a mouth full of flavor. The restaurant is very classy and decorated elegantly for the ambiance. Asparagus and twice-baked potato hit the spot. Red wine is also great. The creme brulee was also perfectly made paired with a sweet strawberry. I will be back. The waiter was very charming and had a great sense of humor. Keep it up.

I always have a wonderful experience here. I came on a Saturday night around 7:30 (reservation made through Google maps), I was seated immediately and waited on promptly. My server (Brooke maybe, she was a sweet, curly-haired girl) was a doll. I ordered the Ga peach and the Goodwill 75 cocktails. Both were as pretty as they were good (and strong!). Burnt ends appetizer lasted about 3 seconds on the table. I would order a pound of those things, seriously, they were cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender, flavorful. My entree was the pork chop & opted for the herb mashed potatoes as my side. I also tried the blueberry creme brûlée cheesecake. Everything was wonderful. My only note is the creme brûlée could have been a little more brûlée’d lol and it could have been but I took it home and ate it a few hours later. I will always suggest this place for a nice splurge night/date night.

What an truly delightful evening at Edgar's. A few coworkers and I got together after work and someone mentioned Edgar's and we were delightfully impressed by the ambiance, the service and above all the FOOD!. chef David (?) Made a vegetarian dish for my coworker and we were all impressed by the presentation and flavors. We ordered the crab cake, lamb chops special(yum!) And the vegetarian pizza. We got a few drinks to pair with our meals. I wasn't a fan of the rum punch (tasted like something other than rum) but the Lemon Drop and Patron Margarita we got for the second round, hit the spot. Highly recommend the lamb chops special. It was PERFECTLY medium (see pics). Do yourself a favor and ordered a side of Mac and cheese! Yum! Our waitress Alyssa was so attentive to our group and made excellent recommendations for us to try since it was our first time. We will definitely be back since I'd love to try the steak or Sole or Salmon dishes. I'd also like to try the Oysters Rockefeller next time; The table next to us ordered it and it looked sooooo good!

Yelp
Edgar's Grille located on Washington Road Augusta, GA Food: The training restaurant (school) is very special the students due a really extraordinary job in menu selection, presentation and service. I have visited in months however, we always have a pleasant experience when we go. Service: Customer service is always A+ Ambiance: I love the classy vibe, dim lighting and high back booths give you a intimate feel.

Yelp
Went here to celebrate my aunts birthday, party of five. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately but the place wasn't busy. They were anticipating a twenty person table though! We ordered the burnt ends to start and boyyyyy were they delicious! IDK what the sauce was but bottle it! The nuts were pointless though, as well as the rabbit food on the plate. I ordered the salmon entree and it was perfect but I'd never been asked how I wanted my salmon cooked but well done I guess lol. Katelyn our waitress was a peach! She was kind and so helpful. My aunts friend had made a cake and she put it in the back to keep it cool for us until we were ready for it. They overcooked a steak but redid it! Otherwise, we had no complaints. Great place, linked to the school so I'm pretty sure most of the staff are students. I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
Went on a Thursday for lunch and the place was empty...can't wrapmy head around that-because the food is amazing and the prices are great! Great service, great food and great ambiance! This place should be packed! We will be back!

Yelp
We had a table of 15 and this was no problem for this amazing group of Chefs and students. The food was amazing, fresh, and played well. It is wonderful to know that everything you purchase here goes back into the college to provide training programs for the community. The area has been refreshed and is very clean!

Yelp
Our experience was overall incredible! The special was a sea bass with puréed lemon cauliflower and the dish was perfect - so unique and delicious! The Edgar's salad was also absolutely delicious and the grilled chicken was seasoned perfectly. The drinks and warm bread with their special butter was all also wonderful! Would highly recommend!

Yelp
I visited last Friday with a few coworkers. The service and most of the food was fantastic as usual. I was a bit disappointed that my steak didn't taste great. It had an "off" taste to it. Due to time restraints on our evening, I only ate half and took the rest home and fixed it to my liking on my stovetop. I didn't make a fuss about it but did let someone know. I hope the next time it's better. I've had the New York Strip several times and they've even made it at lunch when I visited although it's a dinner menu. This was the first time it tasted off. The atmosphere of the place is always pleasant and not too rowdy.

Yelp
I booked a party of 10 for a birthday dinner at edgars. I called the week of to make the reservation & they accommodated my needs. Passion was our server, she was excellent. She kept beverages full & suggested appetizers that didn't miss! I ordered oysters and crab cakes for appetizers & a Ribeye steak w/ a twice baked potato & asparagus for entreé.

Yelp
Had Edgar's for the first time the other day and it was a great experience. The bread and peppered butter was fantastic. The bread was soft and the butter had a neat kick to it that made it hard not to overeat prior to the meal. For the appetizers we ordered the pork belly burnt ends and charcuterie board. For my entree, I ordered the lamb chops. Pork belly burnt ends (3.5/5): i enjoyed the tangy sauce that was on the burnt ends and the nuts and pickles were nice too. The burnt ends had a great smoky flavor, but I felt it could have been more tender. Compared to Texas bbq or Chinese braised pork belly, I do feel it lacked that melt in your mouth, barely need to chew texture I normally prefer. Charcuterie (4/5): Im no charcuterie snob at all- I'll eat any assortment of meat, cheese, jams, and fruits. This board was like any other good charcuterie I've had in the past. I always enjoy fig jam and they had a good variety of options to mix and match. Lamb rack (5/5): these were cooked a perfect medium rare and definitely a highlight of the meal. They were perfectly tender, each and every piece. The glaze was mildly sweet and the potatoes nice and creamy. Can't go wrong with grilled asparagus as a side and these were nice and crunchy. All around executed very well. Overall I had a great meal here and is definitely a place I recommend for any occasion.

Yelp
What a great place to have an intimate date night or hangout with a group of friends. Food was wonderful and excellent with every bite we took. For appetizers we ordered Rockefeller Oysters (Not pictured) and it was delicious. Also there was bread and butter served as well. Bread was light with a hint of airiness. So good. For my meal, I ordered the HAND-CUT SIGNATURE 14OZ RIBEYE that was served with herb butter and smoked gouda mac n cheese. Ever bite of my meal was scrumptious. It had no chance of surviving today lol. Then finished the evening with some cheesecake that sat on a jam sauce with some whipped cream. Everything was delicious. As a first timer at this establishment, I found out that the chefs in the kitchen were actually students going through culinary school. They use this place as a test for their skills to the public. What a great way to incorporate their skills in the real world. Service was great as we ordered multiple drinks from the bar and waitress was accommodating. Definitely coming back in the near future.

Yelp
Inconsistency among service staff. Made food less enjoyable. Not an inexpensive dining experience

Yelp
One star for one reason. They missed my daughter in law's order. My son and I had our food, and my DIL got hers 15 minutes later. The food is fantastic, but at these prices, not having all entries ready together is a huge miss. I'm really disappointed. I will not be back.

Yelp
Went for a friends birthday a few months back, food was wonderful. Service was great and the ambience was nice and quiet during our dinner. We had steaks, pork chops, Mac and cheese. Mac was awesome and we ordered seconds. Look forward to visiting again.

Yelp
Beautiful ribeye. Sadly overcooked, not much taste... sad end of story. Service was great though.

Yelp
First off the service was right. They were very polite and attentive. They definitely cater to their patrons. We had reservations for 2 at 7pm. We got there about 715 pm and we didn't have any issues. We just checked in and were taken to our table. The server greeted us within 5 minutes and went through the menu with us perfectly. We both got steaks. My medium rare and my friend was well done. They both came out at the same time and each at the right temperature. I would definitely recommend this place and J will be going back.

Yelp
We came here for brunch on Christmas Eve. It was a buffet which is different than what we are used to here but a really nice change that allowed us to sample several dishes. They had a nice cheese selection, salad bar, and soup. There were several selections of bread. There was also a fruit bar. Two stations were set up - one for cook to order omelets and one roast beef carving station. The entrees ranged from sweet breakfast to savory breakfast, and savory lunch type options. They had flank steak and roasted vegetables. The biscuits and gravy were a little disappointing but every else was very tasty. The dessert bar had a nice selection of different types of cheese cakes and pastries. There were several speciality holiday themed cocktails. Overall fabulous experience.

Yelp
This place has perfect service first of all. The waiters were all very attentive and were polite. The food here is amazing. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. Also the Brussels sprouts here are honestly the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had. I couldn't stop eating them. Baked potato was ok, as well as the burnt ends and shrimp were fine. The Georgia peach margarita was a little too sweet for me. I will come here every time I want a nice steak dinner!

Yelp
Visited on a Friday night with two adults. This was our first visit. The customer service was great but that's were it started and ended. Food was nothing to brag about. I was looking for a nice dining experience and this didn't give what it was supposed to give. The food was bland and drinks were nothing to speak about. I was really expecting more and was disappointed with the food and pricing.

Ella J.

Yelp
The food was worse than awful. In addition to tasting bad it made me sick. I will never go there again. I wish I had the $160 back
google avatar

Morgan M.

Yelp
My husband took me here for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. All of the food was great and the vibe was great as well. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice local restaurant.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out this place ever since I checked out the bakery that was next door. We got their burnt ends, gouda mac & cheese, filet mignon, garlic green beans, seafood and grits, The burnt ends were probably my favorite with the pork belly being so well cooked and the sauce was just amazing. For dessert, we got the pina colada crème brûlée. Super delicious pineapple custard and classic shortbread. Everything was super delicious and the staff were super attentive but not overbearing. It's definitely a super nice date night restaurant to go to or if you just want to go somewhere for a nice meal.
google avatar

Yelp
The first time I went here I was very impressed - food quality was excellent, service was a little lacking but ambience was really good for the price. Second time I went here I read their story - it is part of a college and run by students of the college funded by Goodwill Industries. I was even more impressed with the food and the service understanding a bit more about their mission. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was great. It's a great date night option for sure. Proceeds help the student at Helms college.

Primas Maria ..

Yelp
The food was delicious, the presentation of the food was above and beyond. The service if graded I would give them a 10+. The restaurant itself has a great setting very cozy. All together this was a great lunch spot to bring some out of town friends.

Steve D.

Yelp
The brunch buffet for Easter Sunday was terribly under planned and presented The food was not prepared for those with reservations and was very unpleasant experience I will never do a brunch with them again We had reservations for 2:30 for 6 and no food on the serving line.

Lucid D.

Yelp
Used to love this place. After a recent visit, the food has become mediocre, and the service staff was slow or incompetent. Took about 40 mins for basic drink from the bar. Food took 1.5 hrs for even getting an appetizer. The rest of the food didn't arrive until we requested to leave. Which then came right out, somehow. This is concerning since the food was apparently available, yet not provided and just sitting there. The FOH to BOH coherence was non-existent. The seating is too small and uncomfortable. Asked to return a dish, and I was refused by the server and forced to pay for it. Food gave me the runs. Spent $150 for that "experience." Run from this place.

Yelp
This place was a great idea for me and my wife this weekend, it was my first time eating at Edgar Grille. To be honest with you they have not let me down at all, this restaurant is ranked up there as one of my newest best places to eat brunch in Augusta. The flavors of all the items on the buffet were seasoned perfectly, and tried to sample everything but the food was so good, I only was able to eat just one plate. My wife love her food too.

Daniel W.

Yelp
I went to Edgar's for the Valentine's Day Dinner service. The service was good, our server Alyssa was great. Our drinks were nice and came out at a great time. Everything went wrong when the food was brought out. Our apps were cold. The second course had overcooked proteins. The grits were cold & the risotto was a thick, gloopy mess. The entrees were alright, but for the price, the quality should've have been much better. The sea bass was underseasoned and the dirty rice for both dishes felt out of place. The desserts were quite beautiful, but the flavor was not there. Overall, I wouldn't recommend!

Karen S.

Yelp
The food was delicious, service was great, and we loved the modern look of this amazing restaurant.
google avatar

Janice S.

Yelp
Food was good. Our server was pleasant enough but I'm not sure he was all in. I don't think any of our orders came out accurately. We will be back- anyone can have an off day.

George D.

Yelp
Overpriced badly, low quality food used in prep, menu was not very appealing. I would not go back again. There are much better places to eat for those prices!
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I ended up at this restaurant for a last min date night. It turned out to be a good thing that the place that we wanted to go to had such a long wait because the food Edgar's Grille was delicious. First, the interior of this restaurant is so nice. I was not expecting it to be so modern. There was no wait. We ordered our drinks as the waiter told us what the nights' specials were. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as our appetizer and it was bomb! My only disappointment was that since everything sounded so good that by the time I decided what I wanted (the scallops) it was no longer available. I settled for the shellfish and grits and my husband had the fried red snapper. After tasting the shellfish and grits I was no longer upset. The sauce was so good and the husband's fish was delicious. I usually do not get a dessert but ordered the strawberry shortcake cheesecake and it was delicious as well. We will definitely be adding this place to our rotation!
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
I just had drinks but I like the establishment but those prices are too high in my opinion. I didn't order any food just just seem to add up to me. I like the vibe they are going for but you don't need to kill pockets to do it.
google avatar

Franklin B.

Yelp
I like the small portions and the ambiance. Great night to hear music and have a snack.

Julie S.

Yelp
I was excited to come here to celebrate my good friends gender reveal. I left leaving so disappointed. My salmon was so raw.. sushi raw. They offered to cook it again for me but by then I didn't want it anymore. Our server was amazing though!!!
google avatar

Amber V.

Yelp
China my server was the best! She accommodated me so pleasantly and very well. She was an absolute delight with her table mannerisms and timely mannered service. Her BOH did a phenomenal job on the Watermelon Dazpacho. Refreshing on a Hott day! The fried green tomatoes would have been KING if they were lightly battered maybe in a thinner batter like.maybe a panko type of batter. The Mahi-Mahi was a nice main course with collards. I enjoyed the flavor of the collards but my I like my collards with a little more juice included in with the serving. Overall, I will keep coming back to try all the different varieties they have at Edgar's grill. I enjoyed the inside but I get cold super easy so I tend to do the outside patios and there patio was pleasant. The Strawberry shortcake dessert is sinfully delicious! Everyone keep up the great work at Edgar's.

Yelp
Ammmmmmazingggggggg. The staff, the food, the ambiance. Incredible. I don't have a bad thing to say. Everything was delicious. The drinks, the dinner and the dessert. SO good. Perfect place for a really nice meal or just want to spoil yourself. Your portion is fantastic for the amount you pay. I will be back!!

Yelp
Love place . I liked that the manager was up front greeting customers along with the hostess. The server was very nice. The breakfast buffets was excellent and the mimosas was delicious. Just the pick me up I needed on this beautiful Sunday. The restaurant was very Chic and beautiful inside, very clean and the staff members all had mask on. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Earl S.

Yelp
I had brunch here with my Mom after church this past Sunday, and I am very impressed with Edgar's. I think it may be my new favorite brunch spot in my hometown. It's affiliated with Goodwill Industries, and who loves nothing better than supporting an institution with a social mission? We made reservations, which can be made on-line. It's a beautiful restaurant with outdoor dining and a luxurious indoor ambiance with adequate seating. They have discounted Mimosas on Sunday with the brunch and also have a pretty full bar for those who like substantive spirit options. I wasn't aware that the brunch was buffet-style until we arrived. There are several stations with salad greens, desserts, main dishes, and there is a separate section for pancakes, waffles, and french toast. You also get a card to complete if you would like an Omelet. Mom was very pleased and neither she nor I had been there before. I look forward to coming back again real soon on a subsequent visit to sample their dinner options, but I agree with the prior reviews. This has got to be the best, total package spot for brunch in the area, and they deserve it for so many reasons and more! Bravo!
google avatar

Laura N.

Yelp
Underwhelming and the service was subpar. I had lunch there with my mother. Maybe it was an off day for them because I've heard great things about Edgar's.

Karen B.

Yelp
The server spilled an entire drink at our table and never apologized. It ran all over the table and underneath our plates. She mumbled and left the area to go towards the bar . We had to quickly use our napkins to try to stop it from getting on our clothes. She came back several minutes later and wiped it with a bar cloth . She still never apologized at all and she never made eye contact with us. It was very odd and very rude for her to just walk off without acknowledging the incident at all.
google avatar

Victoria B.

Yelp
This was my first visit and based on the great service and delicious food, I'll be back! Not a special occasion, but our server Dara made us feel like we were celebrities. The brunch offerings were generous and varied. The stations are refreshed often so no one missed out on the deliciousness. I don't know when the pandemic will allow a return trip, but I can't wait.
google avatar

Ginny S.

Yelp
I am really torn about eating brunch buffet here today. I have eaten here in the evenings and the quality and ambience of the restaurant is actually really nice. The students not only hustled but we're very attentive. As fast as today, the staff again hustled and were very attentive. "Most" of them wore masks. However in the kitchen, there were no masks being worn. But I think my main rants and raves will be about the food. We did first go look at the buffet. I originally thought it looked like more of a continental breakfast than buffet but they did have multiple brunch items. My husband and I did choose however to get an omelet because the items on the buffet line did not look 'hot'. We were correct. After ordering our omelets we then headed back to the buffet line to get sides. I tried one of the salmon half patties, bacon and brisket. Now the salmon was warm, but definitely needed a little more sauce and seasoning. It was forgettable. Bacon was Luke warm and dry like most buffets. The brisket was my biggest letdown. Hard, I mean hard tap on your plate kinda hard. It was slightly warm and getting regular butter helped. The BEST part of the brunch was that we had omelets made. HOT and cheesy. Definitely get the omelet at Edgar's brunch. However overall, I must admit the $21.00 paid for this brunch was not worth it. We had done brunch once before and thought we would try it one more time. Not again. Don't waste your hard earned money for the buffet. Other meals here are fabulous, just not the buffet. My gut says to give Edgar's a flat 1 star for today's meal, but I know how all other meals are actually really good. So I am going to refer you to my reviews on 6/13/2017 and 8/20/2017. No we won't be back for brunch.

Yelp
Great food great service I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the right atmosphere and a pleasant evening O

Yelp
A nice place to come with friends/family! Good portion to share with others. My first expectation for this place wasn't so high because Edgar's Grille serves foods cooked by culinary arts students (Helms College) at the school next to the restaurant. However, I have to admit I was wrong to underestimate these students! They have great quality food, pretty big portion serving, and friendly service each time I visit. I believe they change the menu from time to time, because some of the food I tried are no longer on the current menu. I've tried (have pictures for some, not all) Pork Chop ($19 ) - my Favorite. You can choose 2 sides, so I always choose the fried okra and the brussel sprouts. I think it's worth the money Shellfish & Grits ($24- shrimp, crawfish, sausage with grits) - pretty good! Burnt Ends ($12- smoked pork belly with barbeque sauce) - wasn't my favorite.. felt like it was too burnt Georgia Sangria, Caesar salad ($9)- nothing special Calzone ($12)- felt like it was too much dough compared to stuffing inside

Yelp
We randomly decided to try this place out. I'm so glad we did. The whole visit from start to finish was We were seated immediately upon coming in, and everyone was very friendly with us. Our server recommended the shrimp for our free appetizer. In definitely glad she did. It was delicious. I swear we finished it in like five seconds, haha. Before we received that another woman who worked there brought us a complimentary plate of deviled eggs. I'm not usually a fan of them, but they were also pretty amazing. I ordered the steak salad with Caesar dressing because I hate Ranch. It was so good. The steak was perfectly cooked. I didn't try the fish tacos, but my husband loved them. I did try some of his fish soup and that was so good. I couldn't stop eating it on him :P. I was very tempted to order a bowl to go for myself. I also ordered a slice of chocolate cake to go. Overall, we had a great experience and definitely plan on coming back.

Yelp
Visited again on my trip to Augusta! This is a must go place for us. We LOVE it here! Food and service again were amazing. Wish there were more dessert options or maybe better dessert options but had the cheesecake and it was really good. Will return for sure and absolutely recommend!

Yelp
My daughter recently graduated from college and choose Edgar's as the place to have a celebratory dinner. Our party included her brother, his fiancé, her grandmother, the graduate and myself. It was a chilly evening and Edgar's was warm and inviting. I had made a reservation so there was no wait. Our server was very attentive and informative. We started with cocktails and asked her for recommendations. All the cocktails were delish and on special! We decided against appetizers as we knew we wanted steaks. Our server told us the special that evening was the tomahawk steak which she suggested was shareable. My DD and I decided that sounded delicious. My son and his fiancé also went with this choice. In hindsight we all could have probably shared just one. It was huge! I think she told us it was 42 ounces. It was our first time having this cut of meat. We ordered it rare and it was delicious but it was a lot. The chefs cooked and seasoned it perfectly. We picked the Gouda macaroni and cheese and a wedge salad with blue cheese as our sides. My son and fiancé had the Mac and cheese, asparagus and ordered a baked potato as well. Everything was very tasty. My mom ordered a filet mignon and declared it the most tender steak she had ever enjoyed. It really was a wonderful celebration dinner. We had discussed dessert before beginning dinner but there was no way we could do it! Dining at Edgar's was a wonderful experience and special.

Yelp
Good Food changing menu nice atmosphere. Live Music at times. Indoor and outdoor seating

Yelp
Sunday brunch, very busy. No chefs on duty, brunch menu only. Very friendly staff, loud due to room acoustics, open floor plan.
