After our issue at Cafe Circa we came here. We've been here a few times before so we knew we would enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately bc it was after 2 we couldn't participate in bottomless mimosas but our server, Gaby, informed us that we could purchase champagne in a carafe at $15 each. I ordered the truck stop with scrambled eggs, jalapeno cheddar grits, turkey sausage, and Texas toast. My sister ordered the relish burger, subbing fries for tater tots and a side of mushrooms and honey mustard. My food was really delicious. Those jalapeno cheddar grits were bomb and I finished just about all my food. My sister enjoyed her burger as well. We also ordered fried pickles, the ranch was salty and we got another champagne carafe. When I got the check, I was surprised to see the extra charges. I was under the impression that the champagne carafe was $15 and the OJ just came with it which was not the case. The carafe was $13 and the OJ was $2. We didn't need the extra OJ and if I would've known I would have told her no OJ. They charged a $2 upcharge for the tater tots and $0.75 for the honey mustard. It's not the fact of the extra charge, it's the fact that we were not informed that those items would be an extra cost. It would be nice to be made aware of that before putting our order in. When I made a comment to Gaby about the champagne and OJ, she had a slight attitude and didn't understand it was the principle and not the cost. I'll probably still come back but I think making customers aware of upcharges and the champagne carafe cost would be helpful.

Small pool hall/ bar and restaurant. Good food. I tried the blackened chicken sandwich with mmmmm mash. Upstairs was quiet for pool which helped. Jukebox with TouchTunes. If your a non smoker things can change if you have smokers upstairs. Otherwise it was a well run clean and friendly joint.

Cool bar located in vibrant Edgewood. Nice bartenders and super strong drinks. They also have an expansive menu but we didn’t get a chance to order any food. The seasonal drink was really good. I would definitely return.

Great atmosphere! Loved the service. Pool, music, and great food!

This place is my number one go to for brunch on the weekends. The mimosas are terrific, and the servers are always friendly, there to have a good time. The food is superb, although they are VERY strict on substitutions... kinda weird, but the menu is extensive, so you'll find what you want with no problem. Also, be mindful that this location is totally different than the Little 5 Points location. The menu and rules are nkt the same.

I stumbled on this place looking to get a bite to eat and drink late night after 11:00 p.m. I must say Edgewood Tavern have some really good tasting food. The presentation is great. I read previous reviews of bad service. I didn't experience that the few times I went. I was waited on a fair amount of time. The food came out in fair amount of time. The server was average. I absolutely love the atmosphere. It's not a bright loud dive bar atmosphere. Outside this place is bit sketchy. If you are looking for loud and rowdy, step one foot outside this place there are several on this street. The tavern is more laid back and intimate place. It's a mixed crowd. It would make a great date spot. I'm not into pool, but will try upstairs on my next visit. Try eating here. They have some great tasting food. It's a full bar. Drink price average. Parking is on the street. Never had a problem finding parking. It's metered parking during day and after 7 p.m. it's free.

1st and last visit was not a good experience. Last month a group of 7 of us wanted to try the restaurant out for brunch to celebrate a birthday. We waited 30 minutes for a table to come available. When one did we stood for almost another 30 minutes in hopes of the table would be cleaned. We asked twice when they would be cleaned. The waiters response, "when we get to it". Then the waiter, as we were standing against the wall, told us if we wanted bottomless mimosa we needed to present our ID and pay before the special ends. We still haven't received a table. They waiters had an attitude and was unprofessional. Never again. The people whose table we were waiting also explained that their experience wasn't the best. So we decided to just leave and go to another establishment up the street.

Yelp
My birthday was a success thanks to BIG SHAQ!!! I'll be back !!! Great vibes !!! Thank you

Amber W.

Yelp
The man in the front checking IDs was SUPER disrespectful and unprofessional to my friends and I . We are from out of town PAYING customers looking to have a nice time and the front guy at the door seriously over checked my belongings. I understand having security is important for safety these days but I felt he abused his power . He checked everything in my purse and even made me open up my wallet as if he just wanted to see how much money I had on me. I felt super embarrassed and disrespected in front of the whole bar. I couldn't even enjoy myself because of how I was treated before entry. I definitely will not go back to support that business because the way they treated me as if I was a terrorist. I've never been searched like that ever in my LIFE ! U want to go somewhere to have a good time, don't go here . They treat paying customers like trash.

Yelp
*visiting from Houston* 7/8/23 This place is a VIBE! I loved it here! It's pretty small but there is an upstairs. We didn't go up there though so I can't speak too much on that. It was a Saturday afternoon after reviewing MLK historic sites. We was able to get a table near to DJ who was also a vibe and provided good jams. I liked how the bartenders were in engaged, one bartender got on the mic and went hard on a Ye song LOL. I loved how the MC was going around and allowing people to sing/rap to whatever song the DJ was spinning. I ordered the chicken wings and French toast. I felt like it was reasonably price. They also have brunch drinks that was $8, I really liked the Tequila Blue. Our waitress, I think her name was Diamond, was a sweetheart. I liked this place and would come back when I'm back in Atlanta.

Yelp
Wish I read the reviews before I wasted my time, THE WORSE SERVICE EVER. Visiting from The Bahamas and cru normally would be my go to hookah lounge in Edgewood but last night I decided to try somewhere new on this trip, like I said before THE WORSE SERVICE EVER. I was greeted by a hostess that was eating, the waitresses don't acknowledge you because they're too busy smoking hookah and flirting with the men at the bar down to the menu not being accessible it was just an all around horrible experience and I had no choice but to get up and leave. PLEASE don't waste your time nor energy patronizing cafe circa.

Akia B.

Yelp
We visited from out of town wanting to go to brunch. The vibes and music were great. They were having a RnB day party with $20 cover. We thought brunch was all day on the weekend, but it was only until a certain time so when we arrived at 3:30 they were serving dinner. They were out of a lot of items, only entree options were catfish, wings, and steak. I got a catfish plate with mac and cheese and vegan greens. The fish was amazing and crispy and the greens were pretty good. The Mac and cheese was not good. It was very oily, I even had a puddle of oil/butter at the bottom of the dish. My friend ordered ribeye with fries. Steak was delicious but cooked well done even though she ordered medium (I prefer well done so I loved it). Only down side was they brought us plastic forks and spoons. The waitress ended up bringing out a real knife, but no fork. Drinks were great, I think we tried like half the drinks on the menu, but they were also out of several drinks. Overall enjoyed the experience and would recommend

Yelp
Parking is not free. Came for a Sunday game meetup for Chicago Bears fans. There are not enough TV or seats on rooftop. No fans on rooftop to abate the heat. The servers were not friendly. They have a reserved booth for the owner on the rooftop, and the owner is not here. So people were standing and this 6 seat booth was empty. Last but not least, mid game, they stopped taking food orders cause they are behind. Drink specials are good but I Won't come here again. On everything!!!

Whidney D.

Yelp
Wait time was ridiculous. My friends got their food over an hour and half before me. Waitress ended up comping my food but over an hour difference for my food ?!? Apparently the cooks made my order wrong multiple times and only got the fried chicken wings with fries. Crazy. Music was great but service terrible. Wings were alright not worth it for an hour and half wait.

Jendai S.

Yelp
Horrible experience!! We came for my birthday and after standing in line for 20+ minutes we were told we couldn't use the RSVP ticket, and we had to pay the 20 dollar fee, which would've been okay if they didn't wait until 4:55 to start letting people in. The security guard was also extremely rude. Considering this was the main plan for my birthday I wish I could give this place less than one star, it was a waste of time, you would be better off going to a better place with better food and service.

Jaylin G.

Yelp
We haven't really ate yet. But we went to get out the house and it was a great vibe. They have great music & you are allowed to blow .

Kiah R.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night on the rooftop. It did not cost this Friday when I went but heard through friends it usually has a cover that varies in price. The rooftop was very nice & they turn on heaters that keep you warm. The drinks were good & perfect for me. My friends thought they were on the weaker side but I'm a light weight so I was fine with it. The DJ was AMAZING on the rooftop, everyone was dancing or singing their hearts out. The food was much better than I thought had chips with spinach dip & the sliders. The customer service was okay

Samantha L.

Yelp
Good atmosphere and music with as decent sized crowd. The waitstaff could have been better.

Andrew R.

Yelp
Cafe Circa in ATL is a complete let down. Got here at noon leaving at 2pm with no food at all. Don't open on time and asked us to wait. Got sat and no chef was present so we had drinks while we waited. 1.5 hours later we were still waiting for our food which I asked how much longer as I had to leave to catch my flight. Two hours in one of the people in our group got food. The other had to get it to go due to the delay. I didn't get anything. Aside from that, extremely loud music. We should be able to talk without yelling because the music is loud. Overall bad experience

April W.

Yelp
Cute vibe spot with good drinks and great music. Seems 420 friendly upstairs on the patio. Mix of ratchet and classy. I did not try any food, but I would come here again for sure. We went on a Saturday night; cant speak on if its lit any other day.

Elizabeth O.

Yelp
Unfortunately it "rained on our parade". My first time there on a Friday night and it wasn't pack or crowded, I'm guessing partly because of the rain. The dj was good, but I didn't eat or drink here. I'd be back when they open up the roof!

Nikki H.

Yelp
A well hosted party to perfection! We had the best party planner Naomi, an attentive Server/Concierge Tierra, the best Bartender Lex and I can't forget the young lady that made sure our parties Hookah, they were fresh and well tended. Everything was on point and professional. Please schedule your next holiday and birthday party at Cafe Circa in the near future!

Jessica H.

Yelp
Love the decor and food, but music is too loud for me. Service is upbeat and hookahs are fab.

Elisa B.

Yelp
My family came from out of town so I took them here to catch a vibe and the Security at the front was RUDE AF!!!! We came to have a good time purchase a section for my aunts birthday. It was a group of 9 women so we were going to spend a great deal of money outside of purchasing a section. The mouth on this security man was so slick when talking to women like they are trash. A real man would have put him in his place.! He was so disrespectful that we decided not to even spend money with this business.

Taylor G.

Yelp
BEWARE !!! Worst service ever !!!!! Don't Book Larger parties because they will not reserve or accommodate you and your guest !! They will give your $200 deposited table away to anyone offering to pay more to sit there if your not there !!! And their was a fingernail in my friends food ! If I could leave no stars I would !

Mac B.

Yelp
this establishment is great the food the vibes the drinks and the elegant women the renovation they did makes the spot pop a little more

Taylor A.

Yelp
Horrible customer service!!!! I booked a reservation for my birthday party on the rooftop so I paid a deposit of $200 to RESERVE that table. Rooftop opens at 5pm but I arrived at 5:10pm due to parking. THEY DID NOT RESERVE MY TABLE THAT I PAID MY $200 DEPOSIT ON . I STILL HAD TO PAY OFF MY BALANCE WHICH WAS $275 AND BUY ANOTHER TABLE FOR $250 JUST TO ACCOMODATE MY GUESTS I ORIGINALLY PAID THE $200 FOR. I am very very unhappy with their customer service. Doug a manager there did not help by any means and told me that because I talked to Von the promoter of the lounge and the online service he cannot do anything about that because they are third party. So they never tried to help for the inconvenience instead just asked for more money to sit my guest. I would Never recommend this place to anybody unless you don't care about being ripped off or don't have a party larger than 6. Vibe was cool but I wasn't trying to a spoil my actual birthday. Anyways this place is Trash. Pictures are Very Deceiving also!

Smitty R.

Yelp
Mari.. Was my server, let's just say she can handle a large group. She accommodated greatly for me an my family, the hours we spent there. Will be back for sure

Reva B.

Yelp
Lit! Come on Tuesdays for taco Tuesday and Friday and Saturday! Hookah good. Food good. You're welcome ;)

Brianna H.

Yelp
Went here for their happy hour on Friday. Didn't try any food so can't comment on that, but the deals were nice. We ordered a few of the happy hour drink specials and the DJ was on point! Definitely a cool place to check out if you want a nice vibe for after a long day at work. We didn't get a section or anything, just a regular table on the roof. The parking is expensive though

Roger M.

Yelp
I cannot discourage people NOT to come here enough. I tried them out yesterday for the first and definitely final time. Parking, alone, was terrible. They charge you $20 to park near the restaurant or $10 to go down this shady-looking pathway with a HUGE puddle that looks like it will swallow up your car. One lady came in at the same time as me and decided this wasn't worth it. I wish I had followed her lead. A parking attendant tried to get me to park between two other cars with zero room to get out and 100% certainty our doors would hit each other. I'm glad I didn't listen to him. When that didn't work, he had me park near literal trash. I don't mean like a few chic-fil-a bags. I mean like actual wet, stinking garbage that a rat ran out of when I left. Not to mention, there was broken glass I drove over that he assured me was fine. All of my tires had glass on them and despite all that, this man wanted to try out his poetry on me and my date AND wanted a tip when we said we didn't want to hear it. $10 to get into the actual place itself because why not? Inattentive servers who ignored us for 15min and only took our orders when we moved to the bar. Decent but overpriced drinks and food, accompanied by a loud, obnoxious DJ. And when it came to finally leave this dump, one of the parking attendees harassed us and basically wanted proof we had paid and eaten there before we could leave. Awful experience. I'd rather eat at Guantanamo Bay than try here again.

Alisha D.

Yelp
It was definitely live as fuck a lil ghetto ass fuck and crowd if u go one the second floor. The bottom floor was kinda more relax. If you dont like a place that has the music turned all the way the fuck up this is not the place for you. If you ready to pop that pu**y then definitely come here. They have hookah here they are a lil expensive at $39 and u get to flavors. Also there aren't a lot of dudes. It was definitely a pu**ycat party.

Vincent M.

Yelp
The flyer was more appealing than the actual place as advertised. My friends chose this place to pregame. The staff were cool, but the place was not so clean. And the rooftop was closed for repairs which was a big reason for going. The table was never wiped down and there were multiple spills of liquid puddled in different areas on the floor and was there when we left! Also, other little debris around just made the presentation not good overall. I ordered margaritas, turkey nachos and lemon pepper wings which were all $5 each. The Margaritas were good and they helped! The turkey nachos were okay but were very salty. Our waitress was nice and no complaints there. The bathroom was inline with the other parts of the restaurant (not good). Parking was hard to find on the street so I parked in a lot on the corner.

Yelp
I am so happy that I can now say that Cafe Circa is back to the class that it started with. Apparently since my last visit they changed ownership and what a difference it made. My most recent visit was on a Saturday, an associate of mine told me about Wine and Dine Saturday, a event held here every Saturday night from 8pm till 1200 midnight.I was apprehensive due to my last experience 8 months ago but decided to make my way down to Edgewood Avenue. They have a strict dress code that is enforced. Grown and sexy all the way. No baseball caps, stylish sneakers are allowed but I saw few with tennis shoes on. There was a live band from 9pm till 11pm. The night I went the band that performed was "Exclusive" one of my favorite bands located in Atlanta. Exclusive performs every first and third Saturday. The singer in the band Erica always knows how to get the party started with her soulful voice and her amazing energy. Wine & Dine Saturday has a special for $50 you get 1 appetizer, 2 entrées , and 2 drinks. Who can beat $50 for 2 people to dine and be entertained all at the same time. The drinks are amazing my bartender Joshua kept the drinks coming my favorite is not on the menu but his Kettle One Lemon Drop was yummy. The food was tasty, I had the jerk wings and loved them and I also tried the Jerk egg rolls which were very flavorful but not too spicy. If you enjoy hookah they have that available as well. I can't say that any other night is decent since this is my first time coming to Cafe Circa in almost a year but Saturday nights gets 2 thumbs up. If you really want to impress someone or just have a girls (or fellas) night out I would suggest coming to Cafe Circa on a Saturday night and don't forget to make reservations in advance because seating is limited and they fill up fast.

Tempris B.

Yelp
"On Sundays We Brunch" or try to at least. So we selected Circa knowing their Day Party would be a hit around 3. Arriving a little earlier to enjoy their food options before the turn up. So we made a reservation for 1:30 and was greeted with a empty establishment ( I'm guessing their brunch hasn't really hit off yet), but we kept it moving and sat down. We immediately requested mimosas since they were $15 bottomless, a concept that the waiter didn't really understand since she tried to give us only one bottle during our time until she confirmed with her manager. Next we put in food orders which I would say went well, I mean you only have like 7 options to choose from. I ordered the chicken & French toast. The chicken I must say was pretty good, with similarities to Publix chicken....hmmmm. The French Toast was bare minimum though, nothing special at all, and don't let me forget that they blessed us with some powdered sugar ..yay us. I must say my other table mates where not as pleased. The crab cake option was greatly disliked so I would suggest you not to order that. Next Level - I think Circa can take their establishment to the next level by 1. Better Music 2. Knowledge Waitress 3. Food presentation : more glam 4. Veggie Options - Tempting Taste

Shayra G.

Yelp
The music is amazing and the food is pretty good. If you want a good drink, the bartender knows absolutely nothing so you are out of luck. The vibe is great however the staff is rude and under qualified. Side note: No masks are worn by anyone including staff. Still a great spot to party though.

Sedine ..

Yelp
YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME GOING HERE... staff sucks and their unprofessional!! Very horrible experience, though I was in good company the only other thing was the live band they were good, the service we received since we walked through the door was horrible the second waitress we were assigned was pretty okay but the first one to me was a moron (yes I know it was a strong word) but here's the rundown. 1. We had to do a $200 dollar deposit which they wanted $250 paid through cash app to someone named Naomi that wasn't even there when we got there.... 2. Upon entering the establishment that we RESERVED for a party of 10! They didn't even have seating for us! We had to push tables together which didn't work for us because we didn't socialize the way we were suppose to because we were all in one line!! 3. When I was making the reservation with NAOMI I told her it was 5 couples who were paying their own bills so the deposit would have to be spilt 5 ways she was fine with that even confirmed it in a text! Only to get there to hear some bull crap from the moron waitress saying "if we have a party of more than 5 people it has to be one tab" here comes why she's a moron..... I said to her "so if we were a party of 5 and we wanted 5 separate checks you would have done it right?"..... she said "yes" okay moron we're 5 couples so you would still only be doing 5 checks!!!!!! Needless to say we had to request a manager. 4. After that was out the way we ordered, we ate then here comes the tab... IF OUR BILL WAS LESS THAN THE DEPOSIT WE WOULD HAVE TO ORDER MORE STUFF BECAUSE WE DON'T GET MONEY BACK FROM THE DEPOSIT on top of them charging a 20% gratuity! Which I only mind because they forgot to bring out two people's food until we asked about it. 5. Last but not least, we asked about their dress code NAOMI said NO athletic wear NO sneakers NO t-shirts..... but what did we see as soon as we entered?!! ALL OF THE ABOVE!! YOU WILL BE WAISTING YOUR TIME GOING HERE... staff sucks and their unprofessional!! Posted is a pic of my wonderful $35 meal

Camille C.

Yelp
Had fun but woke up to a massive fraudulent charge to my card for the day after I actually visited. I can't reach owners or management to resolve my issue. The good time I had has been now overshadowed by this massive inconvenience and poor to no communication with people who can help. I have contacted all methods provided by Cafe Circa. Got in contact and they reassured me their accountants said the charges would fall off but this morning the fraudulent activity is still taking place (next day). I'm never going back here. Super inconvenient....

Rochelle M.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE. The manager told us that we could get a section/booth for $400 (it was two tables pulled together) and then charged us an extra $100 and $146 for "extra costs" they are SCAMMERS. We are from California and will NOT be going here again

LaAngela J.

Yelp
Terrible terrible terrible service! First time there in a long time and the service was terrible!!! $20 to get in at 8:30pm when it's been free then waited 30 mins to get one drink. I asked to speak with the manger and she was arguing with some guy behind the bar and never got my drink!! They didn't wipe down our tables in when other people left! Smh never ever saw a place like this!!

Sarah G.

Yelp
My sister tried to make reservations for us to come on Sunday for brunch. She called them and text them with very delayed responses. They finally confirmed our 2pm reservation that Sunday. My sister and I got there around 2 and it looked like there was some type of football event going on. We waited at the front for a hostess, or any employee, to acknowledge us and no one did. After a couple minutes we left and went next door to Edgewood Corner Tavern.

Rue C.

Yelp
Birthday shots behind the bar = Horrible service to guests. With a huge influx of guests visiting Atlanta for The Big Game there are many parties and events to choose from. Shout out and kudos to @Vonthepromoter for Friday's day party at Circa. It was a great idea for locals and visitors. Too bad you chose Cafe Circa. My experience with bar manager Crystal was the worst customer service I've experienced in my adult life. Started off well. I dined on a lunch of sliders and some amazing veggies. I added a cocktail (Jameson and Ginger) and let the DJ's choice of ATL bangers lead me into the 1st heaven. When I presented Crystal with my credit card and the 2 tickets that were given to pay I was ripped from heaven and plunged into a hellish encounter. 1. Overcharged - How can you overcharge when the tickets are there in living color? 2. No accountability taken on Crystal's part- Instead of apologizing for her mistake she demanded to know how I got 2 tickets, (insert puzzled look) snatched the bill and proceeded to take shortcuts to remedy the error all while telling me "I'm trying to help YOU" 3. Refusal to honor customers request- I asked Crystal to provide me with the receipt with the original charge to my c.c. "No" "I don't know where it is" "It's in the garbage" "It doesn't work this way" Anything but yes. 4. Abhorrent behavior- I asked for a manager (that may have been better suited to talk to people) to which she replied "I am the manager and there is no one else." I know with certainty that she would never have the ability to manage this establishment in her own. Her behavior showed this on every level. I never wavered on my request for documentation to support the financial debit. When Crystal became loud I asked her to lower her tone. She did not. I endured approx 5 minutes of her raised voice telling me "I do this" "I've been doing this for 5 years" "Breadcrumbs isn't set up this way" etc. She shoved the POS device in my face which showed the error ticket. I decided to take a picture of the POS screen showing the overcharged amount. That would have been all I needed, but Crystal grabbed it using profanity towards us. Put it at the back bar using profanity about us with her bar staff accompanied by the stereotypical and immature head wag. What a horrible example of leadership. At this point I checked out mentally and swiveled around in my chair. Why? I refuse to engage with this type of person. I refuse to allow you to trigger a very well earned and not-so-nice response, so you no longer deserve any of my attention. The gentlemen next to me asked what was going on, they were curious about the bar managers behavior too. We have conversation about what is happening next to me with my friend and the bar mgr sporting black out sunglasses. I ponder if the alcohol is all that's led to this encounter. My lunch companion had taken on the attempt to speak with Crystal. I re-engaged when I heard my friend say "Why are you yelling?" 5. Lies- Guess what. Crystal slammed the ticket I requested 20 minutes ago on the bar counter. I guess it wasn't in the garbage after all. I grabbed the ticket, along with the "adjustments", and removed myself and my friend from the bar. As we're walking to the door my friend hears Crystal request security. She was asked "do you want them out or away from the bar?" "I want them out of here!" I'm at the front door requesting a manager at this time and she's still on a drunken power trip. 5. Lack of understanding- The 1 star Cafe Circa gets is because of Leila (sp?) Leila is the g.m. Now, I will tell you that I saw Leila behind the bar at one point while Crystal was putting on her show. Why she didn't intercede I'll never know. Why would the general manager allow staff to perform in such a way? Huge shoulder shrug. She didn't seem surprised by Crystal and her act. Anywho, she did come speak with me. (Outside, because I was asked to step outside and wait for her) She listened and agreed that my request was not at all strange or unreasonable. She apologized and accepted accountability for the very poor behavior of her staff. She asked us if we'd like to come back in, to which replied "no, thank you. " She asked what I would like. "My automatic tip to be reversed and an apology from Crystal" She suggested that she have Crystal call me in a few days because she was sure she wouldn't apologize now and it was too busy to pull her from the bar. Leila asked "what else can I do?" I responded, "You decide what you should do to make this situation right." Leila asked me to give her a moment. She went inside and came back with RECEIPTS showing full reversal of all charges. Bravo to the real management team for recognizing an employee that has difficulty in her position.

Yelp
Came in town From Vegas to celebrate a birthday and decided to come here for brunch. Sat at the table for 45 minutes after placing our order, didn't even receive as much as a glass of water. They have the bartender serving as well as tending the bar and a lot of workers standing around smoking hookah. On top of that the gratuity of 20% was placed on every order, probably because of the fact that they wouldn't receive a tip otherwise due to the poor service.

Kiandra R.

Yelp
I came here for Memorial Day weekend and it wasn't very fun. The service was a mess and there was a $50 minimum to sit at a table. What kind of rule is that?! The bartender screwed up my friends drink we had to send it back and to get it remade. I couldn't enjoy the music because the DJ kept screaming about the sections every 30 seconds. I didn't come all the way from the great state of Texas to deal with these shenanigans. Cafe Circa please review the advice listed below. 1. Please train your staff a bartender should know how to make drinks. 2. Remove the $50 minimum guest shouldn't be pressured to spend money just to sit down.

Yelp
My friends and I attended their day party yesterday. The drinks were good and priced just right. We wanted to eat, but they were really crowded and we couldn't get a table. The DJ was on point! It started to get hot until they opened the roof top. The rooftop was cool, but small. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they were holding the line outside like it was crowded inside!!! Fellas: there were some gorgeous ladies in the building. Ladies: the fellas were definitely lurking and ready to buy drinks! Just a quick FYI

Yelp
I went to 'Café Circa' this past Saturday with a few friends to enjoy my cousin being in town. The night went well enough for me to consider going back for another night. I arrived around 10: 30p.m.; the dinner crowd was still there. There was a live band, that performed, cover songs and the lead could actually sing! That's a big thing for those of you who love music and listen to live bands; how horrible is it to hear someone mess up one of your favorite songs? Our waiter (Demarcus) was entertaining, he was polite and attentive; my water glass was never empty. I ordered the Strawberry 'Kale' Salad; however there was no Kale it in. So it was more like a 'Strawberry Arugula Salad'. I don't know if I look like I don't eat enough vegetables to tell the difference or what, but our waiter didn't tell me ahead of time that my greens were going to be replaced. However, the salad was ridiculously delicious so if I return and order the 'Strawberry Kale Salad' I am going to be highly disappointed if I don't get my Arugula. The salad was about $12.00; my drink Georgia Peach was good as well; that was another $12.00; plus Gratuity $5; and taxes. My bill was $32.00 Other details: **The ambiance was wonderful. I really enjoyed the décor and even better they didn't have stalls for restrooms. There were two separate bathrooms, I used both, and both were clean and fully stocked. **I had to park in the pay lot; it was $20 to part I the lot; they began towing cars that were parked on the streets. Basically, if you can Uber consider being dropped off. ** After the dinner crowd leaves, it turns into a 'club'/lounge type of scene. If you aren't into that type of thing, get there early and leave when the band goes home.

Yelp
A place I've frequented but have chosen to no longer visit after this evening. Atmosphere/music is good, food is subpar. This evening in particular my friends and I came to their day party after brunching elsewhere. A friend and I were the only ones to make a purchase at the table we sat at. He paid in cash for several items and I paid with a card. Once I got home- there's a Facebook message from our server stating that my friend did not pay for one specific item and that we ALL would banned from the establishment if not resolved (not sure how that would work... but okay). The entire party witnessed this friend Pay $60 in cash for a $58 bill (I paid with a card which is how she was able to find my info). It's interesting that the server only stated that he didn't pay for the hookah when he had 2 other items that he consumed in addition to that. The server brought his change for all items. SIDENOTE: seems as if there may be a training opportunity for their staff. When my friend returned to the establishment to gain understanding as to why the server would accuse him of running out on the bill- he could only speak to a female security guard (who we interact with every time we visit) with dreads who claimed to be the "manager" that could present no resolution to us. The weekend before we had purchased 2 sections on their rooftop and was looking to do the same next weekend. However, after this treatment we've opted to take our business elsewhere. Ultimately, we're not sure what happened to his $58. ALSO: the wings I paid for were over cooked and chewy. If anyone is going to reach out via Facebook it should've been me for those wings. Tip: pay with a card so there's a record of your purchase.

Yelp
I am a long time customer of Cafe circa. My friends and I patronize here often. We came in looked for a server to buy a hookah & were informed you must buy a bottle to get a hookah and section. She told us that it was $237. We agreed to pay the $237 for the bottle and hookah & sat at the only open booth. As I was sitting I noticed something poking me in the back. There were two loose screws sticking out of the wooden booth. The screws were so loose that they punctured two holes in the top and bottom of my outfit. I notified the server and she assured me that management would rectify the situation and at the very least reimburse me for my outfit. A busser came over to nail in the screws and then the manager was sent over. She apologized but told me that there was nothing that Cafe circa would do for the inconvenience besides reimburse my outfit. About 15 minute slayer she came back and told my party that we would have to LEAVE. After we paid for our section because when I made the complaint I mentioned legal repercussions & apparently our section was discounted even though that was never mentioned to us. It's been nearly two weeks and I have not heard anything from any one at cafe circa regarding the matter. I am not looking for any settlement I would just like for the business that I spend hundreds of dollars with to take some sort of further responsibility for the incident. There is no sound establishment that would allow two screws to puncture a customer, ruin their outfit and continue with the same attitude that was exhibited at cafe circa on Friday night.

Yelp
I came here because my best friend invited me and she made a pretty good choice for once. The staff are extremely friendly and the bartender is excellent! I love the live band that they have playing and the food is so so so so good. I ordered the mac and cheese and this has had to be some of the best I've tasted. I also love how the band keeps the crowd pumped. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
The food was just okay. I ordered the salmon croquettes and hated them. The veggies and rice that came with it was decent, though. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits - again, just okay, but better than what I ordered. Drinks were great! Live music was scheduled to start at 9 and it started at 9:11, which isn't bad. The band was great! Nice atmosphere, great service and sound. I'd definitely go back, I'd just be sure to eat first. Watch out for the included gratuity. Nowhere on the menu or in the restaurant was it indicated that there was a 20% automatic gratuity, which isn't cool at all. Luckily, our waitress was FABULOUS and I was already planning to leave a nice tip. I just don't like for places to spring that on you. Usually gratuity is included for larger parties, and it's only 18% max. 20% automatic gratuity for a party of 2 sends a signal that you don't trust your clientele. Bad for business, in my opinion.

Yelp
Pretty good service and the music is good but the food wasn't all that. Shrimp in grits was too salty and the taste was average , the wings weren't worth the money, and the lobster mac was a fake , barely any lobster and average taste but the jerk chicken rolls were really good. That's really the only food item I enjoyed. I'm glad I can say I tried it but I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
So clearly my husband and I are the only non African American couple here as we were starred down right when we walked in. The employees clearly have no clear and set uniform. If they are supposed to be wearing black they're doing a terrible job at it. The whole de or is like a cheap strip club with lights that keel flickering and going out. The music is way too loud. There is no theme to this place. If you are going to call a place a cafe then make it a cafe. Oh and let's not forget that my purse was searched because they want to make sure people aren't bringing outside alcohol in. Either you don't want people bring in weapons or you want to know who's packing. OR your drink prices are too high for the cliental you are hosting. The bar was clean and the server was nice to me after she told me they were out of Diet Coke. She was nice during our meal and made sure we had everything we needed. Too bad the hostess couldn't be as friendly. Food was pretty good but why was there so much salt in the salad??? Oh yeah....you want people to drink. Yeah.....not gonna fall for that one.

Yelp
2 stars is based solely on the black bartender. He is very attentive and makes excellent drinks. This place has NO parking. Now they have $50 minimum to sit at a table and you cant sit down at the bar! When open the rooftop is cool. Food is expensive and not very tasty. Only time I go is when someone else is treating.

Yelp
Tonight was the last and worst experience at Cafe Circa. I had guest in town from Alabama and suggested Cafe Circa. I called 6 times between 6pm - 9pm on Saturday with no answer. How do you make reservations??? When we arrived it was pouring raining. The rude bouncer made us poor ladies stand out in the pouring rain since we could not find a seat to sit and eat . I'm upset and highly disappointed. The bouncer put the icing on the cake for never returning. So long Cafe Circa. You made sure 4 patrons felt unwelcomed.

Yelp
We stopped in for brunch and were welcomed by the bartender that was friendly and kind. We had a unique cocktail that proved perfect for an afternoon beverage! Please try!

Yelp
This place was ghetto as fuck! There is a reason I don't deal with gangsters and this is why...The worse experience ever! I would give zero stars if I could. We RSVPd for the event then we got inside and happened to walk out the door to call a friend regarding reserving a table thinking we were going to the rooftop, but ended up going out a back door and the bouncer made us go back around and we were forced to pay the cover. So ridiculous! I would not return or recommend coming here. The boss was completely ridiculous and the time was not worth it as all! I would save your money and go somewhere else!

Yelp
Second time here. It's always something going on there. Food is decent. Prices are okay. Parking across the street for 5 dollars for 3 hours. Nice crowd. Great music. They also have hookah. I don't like smoke at all but my friend loved it. They have good ventilation so it wasn't all smoky and stinky. Rooftop is nice but you have to buy a table to sit. Ridiculous. We sat downstairs for free. Seating is very limited. Mac and cheese was not good at all. Burgers were just okay. The jerk chicken egg rolls were delicious. The staff was very pleasant. The area it's in doesn't seem too nice but had no issues. K Michelle's restaurant and a few other places are right down the road. There was some protestors on the corner chanting and yelling about nonsense. Wouldn't mind going back.
