12 Great Produce Boxes To Order & Support LA Farms - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Edible Gardens LA is a website and online shop that has put together a weekly CSA box sourced from a bunch of local farms, like Flora Bella Farm in Three Rivers, T&D Farms in Redlands, Finley Farms in Santa Ynez, and their own farm in LA. Price varies based on weekly products and number of people you’re feeding. How to order: Sign up for their weekly email blast here. What to expect (July): Zucchini, avocados, lemons, carrots, tomatoes, shishito peppers." - brett keating

Beautiful garden that is sure to inspire you to try out your green thumb when you get home. The fragrance from the orange blossom trees was intoxicating, and the few exhibits you can smell and touch are great!

Just outside the doors of the Natural History Museum is the Edible Garden, a small area for growing herbs, fruits and vegetables for the public to see. I wish I had this kind of garden in my backyard, tho realize from walking thru, that that’s lot’s of work! I haven’t seen it before, so it must be a work in progress. The effort to get this garden going and growing is good, tho the impression after leaving the museum is not quite up to par, yet. Descriptive labeling is missing, haphazard and not always clear. The concept is fascinating, since I don’t usually see the food I eat before it gets to the grocery store. Though we still have lots of orange trees growing around Orange County!
