Google
neighborhood gem! Have driven past for several years and finally dropped in to try. Such pretty and artfully decorated treats, and the prices were much more reasonable than I anticipated based on how detailed everything looks. Cupcakes were great, moist and fresh and not too sweet

Edis and Olivia were accommodating to get our custom cake delivered in a very short span. And it came out really well. Loved the taste! Thank you.

Google
The best chocolate mousse cake I’ve ever had. If you are a chocolate fan, this is a must try. You could tell it was made with high quality ingredients. They were also very accommodating and fulfilled my order with short notice. I have also given gifts from this shop and the receivers loved their truffles. Edis will be seeing more of me. :)

Google
The people who worked here were very friendly and helpful. I came here for the dubai pistachio chocolate, and it wasn’t good. The phyllo dough was not roasted and it didn’t taste like it had pistachio cream, or at least not enough. I’ve had the viral chocolates that were way better (with crunchy dough and pistachio cream) for less than half of the price and same size. Unfortunately this tasted like it was just stuffed with a doughy inside. I’m aware they have more than just this one item and can’t be judged based of this alone, but I can’t justify the quality of these chocolates at their price point.

Google
For the chocolate lover in you! It’s so good. Lots of variety, decadent cakes, cute pastries, gift sets, and whole cakes. Glad I got to try their yummy chocolate cake slice.

Google
you will never catch anything other than edis chocolates baked goods for any of my events. the most DELICIOUS, moist, flavorful cakes i’ve ever had and the chocolates are to DIE for! i’d travel state lines for edis chocolates 🙏🏻😂😊

I absolutely adore Edis Chocolates, a sweet jewel in Austin. If you ask, she has Brazilian goodies. Coxinhas and esfihas are delicious! Passion Fruit mousse is amazing!!

Google
Edis Chocolates is a hidden gem in Spicewood Springs neighborhood. I originally discovered this shop about 4 years ago, and have never been disappointed. Their Handmade Truffles are simply amazing, the outside chocolate is dark but not bitter and the inside is velvety smooth. Sold by the dozen and 1/2 dozen they are perfect for any special occasion. Edis has a variety of other pastries that are whimsical and beautiful decorated. My second favorite dessert is the heart shaped Flourless Chocolate Cake, it has a mousse like texture on the inside with a very silky outer layer of chocolate.

Yelp
Randomly found Edis Chocolates this week. Wow! What a great little bakery!! Their iced cookies are absolutely delicious!! The lemon bars are also great!

Yelp
Off the bat, I have to say that we came here after reading reviews claiming they had the best hot chocolate in Austin. The hot chocolate was fine, but not as good as what I make at home. So don't come just for that. The storefront itself is very unassuming, tucked away in a tiny section of a strip mall. But inside, the truffle and treat selection looked amazing, and the staff were all so welcoming that I have to give them four stars. Also picked up some truffles for my chocolate-loving Granny for Christmas.

Yelp
We always like looking for sweets after lunch and this little shop was an amazing find. Kitchen was easily twice as big as the Treat showroom...Amazing display cases with super friendly service...The only down side to places like this is what to get? And with the Wife giving me the " we get twp each" makes it even harder! She opted for the Apple/pear tart and a Cappuccino Macaron ...Having a toaster oven payed off with the tart. Crispy crust and the pear/apple combo was great...The Macaron packed a huge coffee punch making for a great bite. I chose carefully and my choice was the Lemon bar and pistachio/honey truffle...The truffle was smooth, creamy and rich of course...wife enjoyed a small nibble as well...As for the lemon bar, yes my first one ever and that bar has been set high...nice shortbread crust and that lemon filling was just amazing...Absolutely love this place! On the radar for sure!

Yelp
After back-to-back disappointments at my go-to bakery for celebration cakes, I was on the hunt for a new place to procure sweets for my partner's upcoming birthday. I popped by Edis to try a few treats so we could sample flavors before committing to an entire cake. If you like a nutty chocolate dessert, look no further than the hazelnut amaretto torte. It is uber-rich and decadent, so a small slice is all you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you're more of a traditionalist, the standout cake flavors were the Meyer lemon and classic chocolate. Both were moist with a perfect frosting to cake ratio. The frosting itself was thick and fudgy in consistency but not cloyingly sweet. Yum! It's also worth mentioning that when I returned to pick-up a cake for the aforementioned husband's birthday, it was beautifully decorated. The writing was impeccable and they went the extra mile by even decorating the sides of a 6" cake. The attention to detail was remarkable. I'm so happy to discover this unassuming gem of a chocolaterie and bakery!

Yelp
Caps for real (truly true) drama recreation: The 4 and 6 year old girls and I were offered macarons for our afternoon snack. Also: - assorted truffles - many gorgeous kinds of cupcakes - chocolate bars - Red foiled milk chocolates hearts - chocolates with centers - assorted macaroons - and then.... THE LAST TWO RAINBOW-ICED CUPCAKES!!!!!' And if that wasn't enough, SHE WENT AND CAME BACK WITH SPRINKLES for the rainbow cupcakes. ****SQUEE!!!!**** Just... NAILED IT!
google avatar

Yelp
Edis Chocolates has delicious and exquisite dark chocolate truffles. You can get a box of assorted truffles or choose your own flavors for the same price. A little box of these makes a great gift for a chocolate lover. I enjoyed their hazelnut truffles, while my mom raved about the double chocolate and espresso flavors. Can't wait to come back to try the chocolate mousse, the hazelnut torte, and the flourless chocolate cake.

Yelp
You. Must. Go. Here. Now. Especially if you love chocolate. I rarely critique cafes coffee shops or dessert only places. But I have to safe as a world traveler. Who has had the best from multiple bakeries and, confectioners, and desert places, this is THR ONLY PLACE that tempers the chocolate correctly. For those of you who do not know what "tempering" means..it is a specialized and precise method to heat and cool chocolate to establish and attain that amazing smooth, rich, creamy texture with no air pockets and still have the glossy finish without adding additional sugar or base oils. Tempering is not the same as melting. Melting is when you simply change the state from solid to liquid chocolate however when melting occurs the fat in the chocolate separates and the chocolate looses that creamy texture and glossy finish Tempering is the rapid heat then cooling of chocolate to maintain that fat in the chocolate so the integrity of the coco bean is maintain and all the flavors and textures are exact and present. This, takes, time and practice. That being said let's just make one blanket statement: Every morsel of food here is completely balanced. Not too sweet, not too condensed, not too fluffy, just balanced perfectly. So let's review the heavy hitters on the menu: 1.) The Macarons-standard. Glossy finish. Nice flavor, texture is perfect. 2.) the Truffles- the perfect chocolate to filling ration. The amazing decorations on the outside are incomparable. All flavors are amazing:Trust me I've had them all. Worth every penny. I'll even go as far to safe these truffles are better than anything from Godiva or any other average chocolatier. 3.) the FLourless Chocolate cake. This is without a doubt the best chocolate cake you'll ever have. I sincerely mean that. I challenge Any of you to find a cake with this perfect texture, frosting to cake ratio, and balance of sweetness. 4.) the Cupcakes-Perfect cake to icing ration. The fluffiness of the cupcakes and its ability to stand up to the icing is amazing. 5.) the sugar Cookies- So I've made and sold my own cookies for a while, and iced them. Edis's are better. 6.) Lemon bat-amazing combination of sugar to lemon curd. The Lemon curd is so perfect that it could almost stand on its on. 7.) The maple Walnut/Pecan bar-Take that amazing texture of Pecan pie, add perfectly candied nuts, and remove all that excessive sweetness, and ya have one of these. I love these 8.) The Chocolate Croissants and Cookies- I've only had 1 cookie and 1 croissant better. Hint: their both in France. 9.) Finally: The Chocolate Mousse: You can't get better than this. One dip in the Mouse and you'll see how perfect the texture is. I hope all this feedback helps you. I wish they did a bouche de Noelle. I can only imagine how amazing they would make it. This place is on par with Angelines in Paris. I hope Edis makes French hot chocolate one day. Go here the staff is quite lovely and not pushy at all. Livia and Edis are well accommodating. I highly recommend their sugar cookies as gifts, and there ain't a Chocolate liver I've met who will turn away the mousse, truffles, or flourless cake. This place deserves far more attention and credit than it currently has. Go there, and if you're not convinced let me know! I'd love to hear your opinion.!!!

Kate V.

Yelp
Edis has some of the best desserts in town and they they are so accommodating! So many places now require at least a month of planning to order a cake but Edi's will make it work for their customers. I am also not always in the mood for chocolate and they make great non-chocolate desserts.

Yelp
Awesome desserts. Frosted sugar cookies are magical. Red velvet cupcakes are super yummy. Love Edis!

Yelp
I have been on the hunt for high-quality hot cocoa this season & Edis Chocolates is currently at the top of my list! When I ordered it I was asked how sweet I prefer it & then I asked for some peppermint flavoring if possible. The peppermint hot cocoa was perfectly balanced & to achieve the peppermint flavor they used some of their homemade peppermint bark! I also got a decorated sugar cookie which was beautifully painted & not dry at all. The lemon bar is a great tart treat to pair with all of the sweets which tastefully added some acidity after some bites of the decadent & moist dark chocolate cake. The perfect place to treat yourself or gift to others!

Karen F.

Yelp
I love stopping by this place, as their desserts and chocolates are as beautiful as they are delicious. Also always happy to support a locally owned business!

Yelp
The hot chocolate is amazing, edis is a gem. She sweet, fast, and puts love in her food. I use to come here much more often, but any time I'm in the area I have to stop! It's a small business and I completely recommend

Rodrigo B.

Yelp
THE BEST PLACE IN AUSTIN to get chocolate or cakes! Everything there is handmade and so tasty. The service is quick and super friendly. Such a cute little hidden gem. Everything that Edis touches turns into chocolate and that isn't a joke.
google avatar

Leigh P.

Yelp
I wish I knew about Edis earlier! My friend delivered a few and we loved it all! The hazelnut torte was my favorite. The size is small but it's so decadent that I only ate half of it. I didn't try the cupcakes but my partner said they were delicious. The lemon cake was moist and tart. The dark chocolate cake was so good and also really decadent. I love dark chocolate and lemon and these were amazing. I'll have to visit in person now!

Yelp
I haven't been to Edis in a while but it never disappoints me . Her coxinhas are perfect and she's so friendly and kind . Everyone should pay a visit and try her truffles which are out of this world !
google avatar

Jordan N.

Yelp
I love this place, but not so much for the sweets (they're good but they're not what I come for). I come here for a taste of Brazil - namely the pao de queijo (cheese balls), and, now also, the coxinhas (fried potato cones filled with chicken). They both are really scrumptious and the best I've had in Austin so far. A note to make - the coxinhas are sized small but they're still very enjoyable with great flavors. I've seen other places also make cheese balls but I still think the ones here are above the rest. Service is very friendly and casual, as it is a mom and pop establishment (usually I see just two people here) and the owners are always in the back working on their next sweet creation.

Mike G.

Yelp
Local (Austin). Have used many times, wide variety, a bit pricey but always excellent.
google avatar

Farhana K.

Yelp
I love the people here. They are so kind and friendly. They make you feel so welcome and treat you like royalty. All their desserts and savory stuff I've tried is delicious! The owner is an absolutely wonderful person. I love what she stands for. She had a sign up in front of her store showing solidarity with the Muslim community. Now I'm hearing she's done the same for the Jewish community. I just love it! She is fearless! I value her principles, it's hard to find businesses that support the rights of people, to just simply exist and thrive. We support you and your business!

Micheline T.

Yelp
Wow!! Super cute place with amazing pastries and the best cakes. The products are excellent, nice people and I absolutely loved discovering this local favorite. So many fresh options.. I loved it!!
google avatar

Russell T.

Yelp
Love this place, the lemon cake is most perfection and the scotch chocolates and truffles are outstanding. Flavors are expertly mixed with none overbearing. Try the delicious and perfectly fried Brazilian coxinha for a little cultural decadence.

Yelp
Pretty chocolate on display, we bought a whole bunch today. Sadly, we won't know what they taste like because they are all to be gifted. So hoping they taste as good as they look. But I wasn't impressed with the customer service we received. The lady helping us was so cold! We had a few questions and her responses were short and cold each time, almost like we were a bother. When I asked her what something was, her response "everything says what it is on the bottom". It isn't that difficult to tell the ONLY customer in your store what something is, especially when they are about to buy a lot. I certainly won't go back unless we get raving reviews for the chocolates.
google avatar

Pete S.

Yelp
A little disappointed with my visit recently. We bought a big box of truffles, three side pieces and a couple slices. Everything tasted good, the poor review is for not packing up a side order of peach truffle. Left a generous tip and feel disappointed in the oversight.
google avatar

Michaela M.

Yelp
Man oh man. You're missing out on life if you don't try this place. Their flourless chocolate cake is perfection, their hazelnut torte AMAZING. Everything melts in your mouth and gives you that perfect amount of chocolate that you have been craving. I walked to my car and tried the torte only to be overcome with flavor. I had to walk back inside and order two more for my boyfriend and myself. So tasty!!
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
I was gifted a box of assorted truffles and another box of assorted chocolates, and both are some of the best I've ever had!! I can't wait to visit the store and try other desserts they offer. The owner is also super sweet Support local and try this chocolate!
google avatar

Sara O.

Yelp
The amaretto hazelnut cake is like a giant Ferraro Rocher (not entirely sure that I'm spelling that right). My friend enjoyed her lemon bar. Seriously so delicious. The owner was very sweet. Pun intended.

Yelp
Update*** Edi did an AMAZING JOB on our wedding cake. We ordered a 3 tier cake and it looked and tasted exactly how we expected; perfect! We had a chocolate cake with a fresh strawberry and cream filling topped with a white butter cream. It was AMAZING! We're currently saving the top tier for our one year anniversary. Edi made sure to respond back to my emails regarding our expectations with our wedding cake as soon as possible. She answered every single question we had in regards to our cake. She did an amazing job inside and out of our cake. It was everything I had ever expected for our once in a life time experiences
google avatar

H. Y. S.

Yelp
I had a chocolate hazelnut cheesecake and my husband had an apple/pear torte. We also got half dozen of macarons. Sheer heaven!
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
My favorite chocolatier, hands down. They have exceptional desserts that I've used as maid of honor at a bridal shower, upscale events, for days out with my grandchildren and so much more. I wish there were more stars!

Mark S.

Yelp
They are super friendly! They gave us tastes of their chocolate bars. They have varied percentages of bean to chose from. Then we selected chocolates to give as a gift. We also got a few for ourselves, and they were delicious! Well worth the trip to go there!
google avatar

Martha M.

Yelp
The dark chocolate truffles are so good, and the chocolate finds its way onto other delicious baked goods found at this small shop in Northwest Austin.

Steve E.

Yelp
This little shop is a blessing unto the Northwest Hills neighborhood. We particularly like the little flourless chocolate cakes and the chocolate mousse-hazelnut torte thingy.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
Everything in this shop is absolutely delicious. The owner is a most lovely woman and it's a wonderful place to get any type of gifts or just a treat for yourself ! Located in an unassuming strip Center in Northwest Hills, definitely worth the drive.

Taylor S.

Yelp
I ordered and picked up a cake for my dad's birthday and had a great experience! Great customer service and great cake!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
My boyfriend got me a box of assorted truffles for our anniversary from Edis! I loved every single one. They were all very delicious and melt in your mouth. I will definitely be coming here for my chocolate fix!
google avatar

Mateus M.

Yelp
The best. It's a Brazilian Garden of Eden for those looking to get a taste of Brazil in Austin. Been going here for so many years.
google avatar

Thang D.

Yelp
Sweets aren't really my thing, but I've made exceptions at my favorite gifting spots. Edis Chocolates has been a long time favorite. I've enjoyed both the rich chocolate cakes as well as espresso truffles ever since this chocolate shop took over the previous artistic cake shop (4-5 years if I remember correctly). Recently, I've discovered and enjoyed her shortbread cookies; shortbread was typically boring before this. Greater still is that the owner, Edis, is passionate about her craft and is often in the kitchen creating new delectable treats. She is both cordial and caring -- definitely one of my mothers away from home. She usually graces us with her presence as we ponder on yummy selections.
google avatar

Janet W.

Yelp
Just got a piece of chocolate cake via Uber Eats. May be the best slice of cake I've eaten in a long time! Truffles delish too! Really high quality sweets.
google avatar

Eva S.

Yelp
Stepped into this place on a whim. My son who doesn't care for sweets generally, was taken by the moist looking slice of lemon cake. I chose chocolate. I noticed the small heart shaped cakes and couldn't help but think it was perfect for valentine's or an anniversary. My son says in a giddy voice from yesteryear "try my cake"! He had reason to smile, it was divine and easily the best lemon cake I've ever tried. My chocolate ganache was perfect. It's completely out of the way but I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Rebecca Y.

Yelp
I love everything about Edi's! Their chocolate is excellent, and the French flair interior decor is cute without being over the top. Edi's is a gem and adds flavor to the Northwest hills area. The seasonal items are my favorite here, which never fail to be unique and charming. When drinking their coffee, I feel like I'm drinking dark chocolate, it's so smooth. I suspect the coffee was specially chosen to compliment the chocolate flavor. There's even a cute handwritten chalkboard menu posted outside the store advertising wares. The owner, working the register, is always courteous and attentive. Be aware that seating is extremely minimal. Maybe a quick stop by with a loved one, but this isn't a place you can stop by to study. But my girlfriend and I agreed that the truffles all kind of taste the same...like dark chocolate ganache (which is good)... Upon biting, I tasted a quick flash (hint) of flavor, then just dark chocolate. Maybe our palettes are not developed enough. We literally couldn't tell which truffle was which flavor. But they have lots more besides truffles and it's all great. Despite the same-tasting truffles and minimal seating, I still love this place with a passion. I'm just lucky it's not on my way to work, otherwise it might affect my waistline...

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about the delicious treats and the wonderful people here. I contacted them looking for an unusual cake for my husband's birthday. He really wanted lime curd filling, but other than that he didn't know what he wanted aside from something unusual and of course, delicious. She had a lot of great suggestions (Elderflower cake sounded amazing to me, but my husband wasn't as sure), and she was super patient while working on ideas, but we ended up settling on a basil cake with lime curd filling and buttercream. It was AMAZING. Fluffy and moist, and perfectly balanced, the basil wasn't overpowering, but complimented the lime curd just right. Really delicious buttercream. I'm a chocolate girl all the way, my husband on the other hand often prefers vanilla, so I was expecting him to be excited about his cake and me to be indifferent. I ate four pieces. It rates in the top cakes I've ever had in my life, even though it wasn't chocolate and he's already asked for it again for next year. If we can wait that long! I can't wait for my birthday when I ask them to make a chocolate with something inventive for me. Yuuuuum.

Margot L.

Yelp
I live out of state but my sister in law loves macaroons, and I wanted to have fresh ones delivered on her bday. Called Edis day before, placed the order, and they were delivered on time. Ricardo was very helpful and kind enough to notify me when they were delivered. They made it super easy. Great service, would order again!
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
This is my favorite bakery/confectionary in all of Austin. The quality of the ingredients is fantastic, the tortes are decadently rich, and whether it's a single passionfruit bar or a whole cake, Edis has you covered! I have made special trips, during heatwaves, cold and storms to get my Edis fix because they're just THAT good. And I'm one of those folks that loves fancy, artisanal chocolates like Feve in SF or Miette in Denver. I really love quality sweets with beautifully balanced flavors. Edis definitely holds her own! Also, my husband adores their Texas-shaped chocolates, too.
google avatar

Beth D.

Yelp
Edis Chocolates is wonderful! I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten there, whether it is her chocolate, cookies or cakes!
google avatar

Phng Dung P.

Yelp
The chocolate was good, but it didn't meet the hype. I bought a box of chocolate truffles with different flavors, but I couldn't really tell the differences between the flavors. Chocolate was not bad, but it was not very surprising either.
google avatar

jessica r.

Yelp
Love love love Edis!! I have brought these treats al over the world as gifts and everyone loves them! Edis is so kind and her food and coffee are to die for!

Linda G.

Yelp
Amazing bakery! I called when the store was closing and I desperately wanted to order my in laws an anniversary gift. It's been hard with the pandemic not seeing them and wanted to do something special for their anniversary . Edis answered the phone and although she was closing, she offered to deliver the bake goods, truffles, heart shaped cake and 4 bars to my in laws when it was far and out of the way . I will definitely be back to shop and visit when I travel to Austin . Thank you Edis!
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
LOVE this place. Amazing desserts and pastries. Excellent gluten free options. Fantastic cakes, lemon bars, croissants, and chocolate mousse. The people are about as sweet as the treats!
google avatar

Cody M.

Yelp
Not only is the staff at Edi's wholesome and welcoming but the chocolates and truffles I ordered are some the best I've ever had. I can't wait to come back soon!

paula m.

Yelp
YUMMY! I wanted a special chocolate cake for my brother's birthday. The pistachio&amaretto flourless cake was the ticket!!! DELICIOUS!!!!
google avatar

Spencer J.

Yelp
My parents kept talking about this place and they ordered the cheese puffs, frozen, for cooking at home (this is a special ask, they are normally hot on the spot) and the flourless chocolate cake for xmas dinner. But when we walked in to pick these up the fun began. There is a Black Gold cookie that is quite possibly the best cookie I have ever had and a hot cheese puff was ridiculously good. We proceeded to buy almost everything in the store including the chocolate almond stars that my mother thought were molasses. What an incredible place. Off the beaten path and worth the drive.
