Hand-twisted bagels, breakfast fare, cheesesteaks, pizza

"Everything at Edith's is a made with a bit of flair. Their house pastrami sandwich comes smothered special sauce and sauerkraut, and they have a signature coffee-tahini slushy that's essentially a breakfast milkshake. You should come for both of those things, but the headliner here is the BEC&L. As the name hints, this sandwich comes with a crispy latke stuffed in the middle. It looks unwieldy, and it is—but there are times in life when you need to eat something excessive and unnecessary (when you're hungover, for example). The bagels are especially dense and doughy, and they're unlike any others in NYC." - team infatuation
"Formerly a bagel pop-up inside Paulie Gee’s, Edith’s has officially opened a permanent location in Williamsburg. The new sandwich counter has an expanded menu, including everything from smoked brisket pastrami on rye and a bagel BEC with latkes, to raspberry-rosewater croissants and chicken schnitzel pitas. But if you plan on staying your pajamas (read: five-year-old sweats) all day, just order Edith’s for delivery. Their shop takes online orders Thursday-Sunday, which means you can have a top-notch Brooklyn bagel brunch experience without having to wait in line." - nikko duren
"If you identify as a bagel-seeking Jewish person in this city, we’re guessing you’re probably aware of this new Jewish deli in Williamsburg. And if you haven’t heard lore of Edith’s until right now, welcome to the party. Although they normally focus on bagel sandwiches and baked goods, Edith’s has a four-person Rosh Hashanah take-home dinner available for pickup in Williamsburg on September 8th. You’ll get sweet and sour brisket, roasted brussels sprouts with honey agro dulce, parsnip and horseradish puree (which sounds like the thing we’d gravitate towards first), and a cake with burnt honey custard and spiced apples. Preorder through their website here." - hannah albertine
"This week Edith’s in Williamsburg - a Jewish sandwich spot and bakery that specializes in hand-twisted bagels - is collaborating with Pig & Khao’sLeah Cohen on pandan cinnabuns and a Filipino breakfast sandwich with longanisa sausage, pickled chilis, and queso de bola on a bagel. You can only get the special until Sunday, May 30th for pick-up or delivery - so plan your Williamsburg gallivanting accordingly. You can even DM them ahead of time for an early pick-up before you go to the beach." - hannah albertine

"In Bethesda, Edith’s Pizza has fired up the ovens from the same owners as Breads Unlimited (located just a couple doors down) and is offering regular-size, personal, and sheet-pan pizzas." - Stephanie Carter
