Burnt marshmallow ice cream

View Postcard for Ed's Real Scoop - Leslieville
@mia

Everything here is good, but Burnt Marshmallow is an original fav. They have nice sorbet options too. Great spot for a summery first date if you both like sweets, sweating, and making small talk around strangers (lines get v long but kinda worth it).

Google
Had my first, but definitely not my last, visit to Ed's Real Scoop in Leslieville this afternoon. I went for the Burnt Marshmallow ice cream, and it did not disappoint! The server was lovely and knew which flavours were gluten-friendly. Two big thumbs up!

Google
The best waffle cone! Made fresh in house. Super crunchy and not too sweet. I tried the burnt marshmallow ice cream and it was very good. However, I opted for the pistachio gelato. Very sweet, but still tasty. Recommend a visit!

I’m a big fan of this ice cream shop! They offer an incredible variety of flavours, so there’s something for everyone. The ice cream is always fresh and creamy. Plus, the small sitting area is a nice touch, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your treat. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere—definitely worth a visit!

Google
Love their ice-cream with a good price point that won't break your wallet. There is a long queue of waiting but for sure it is worth it. Nice.

Currently working on a project nearby, and the ice cream from ED’s really heals my exhausted body after work! Passion fruit yogurt is my favourite. And very close to the beach, highly recommended

Summer in Toronto means one thing: ice cream—and Ed’s gets it right. We dropped in on a warm day and were met with a dreamy lineup of flavours. Creamy, rich, and full of character

Google
Awesome place for a sweet treat! They have both ice cream and Gelato and you can mix and match, all prices are for 2 scoops, and you can choose kids size, adults size and all cone same price! Super friendly staff, and do much flavors to choose from, and you can bring some home too if you like them.

Yelp
I come here a few times every summer and there's always a line. If you're lucky, a short line ;) but definitely worth the wait. The ice cream is amazingly creamy and so far; all flavours I've tried are good and I don't think you can go wrong. The mango sherbet is tastes very fresh and flavourful. Staff have great customer service with offering samples to taste, and the music is never too loud. I'm excited they started a loyalty points program, I'll definitely going to start using it on return trips :)

Olivia L.

Yelp
Love that they have a kid size and you can still pick two flavours. Tried espresso and burnt marshmallow. I liked espresso more. The ice cream is creamy and not sickly sweet.

Yelp
Looking for our last affagato in Toronto. Ed's real scoop was the place we found! Real ice cream and strong fresh espresso the perfect duo for an affagato . My only fault here was the paper cup it came in . I always feel an affogato deserves a really cup. Though this was still utterly delicious. I did love that this was a real old school kinda ice cream store. Friendly staff that happily let us try samples of flavors. Good rich and creamy ice cream . If In the area highly recommend this high quality ice cream shop! The divine smell of waffle cones being freshly made will lure you in for sure!

Yelp
I've heard about this place a lot and finally got to give it a try. They have both ice cream and gelato, and all of their sizes come with 2 flavours. I got the small size, and got the pistachio gelato and london fog. Its the perfect portion for an after meal dessert. The ice cream was soooo creamy, I cannot wait to try their other flavours!

Yelp
Wanting a late night ice cream treat, searched Yelp to see what was close by before heading home and I was directed to Ed's. What can I say - this is the real deal. What ice cream and gelato is supposed to taste like. Bursting of flavour. Freshness, just pure unadulterated deeeeee-lite. My usual gelato go to is lemon. I just love it. But sadly they were out of it. Tears started to descend, but I bravely put on my resting bitch face and ordered the passion fruit gelato. Wowza - I've never tasted anything passion fruit that had as strong as a flavour as this gelato did. It was so tart and passion-y, the flavour truly came out to party today! It was so good I think I forgot to take the obligatory photo! Guess I'll just have to go back...what a shame ;) It's a tiny spot (super popular), street parking. Pack your patience bc it can get super busy, line ups. I went late at night and there was still a small line but it went quickly.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I missed this place which must surely be an institution. They make all their ice cream - and waffle cones too. I went a couple times inside of one week and tried a few flavours. You can taste the quality and authenticity of the ingredients. I tasted a couple of their fruit-based ones: strawberry and passionfruit (gelato). Both were bursting with their authentic fruit flavour. Quite sweet, but not overly since the extra sweetness comes from the real taste and not just added sugar. I tried their chocolate mint and it was a delight. In almost a similar way to the fruit, the mint taste was strong, but also not overpowering, but rather very fresh as it came from a natural place and not just too much extract. The Tanzanian chocolate might be on the throne as the best pure chocolate, non-mixed ice creams I've had. The kicker is that you get two scoops even with a kid's cone (and anyone can order it) and can choose different flavours. Just from these two visits I might put this as my favourite hard ice cream place in the GTA.

Yelp
I had to give them a shout out this summer because of their super unique flavours! We got pistachio, apricot and pear. They were all super refreshing and tasted like the fruit. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
If you eat, sleep and dream about ice cream, you must visit Ed's Real Scoop -- it's the real deal, and some of the best I've had. Each of its four shops in Toronto creates premium frozen treats in small, in-house batches using premium ingredients. The moment a spoonful hits your tongue, you'll be able to taste the difference. So, what is Ed's secret to premium ice cream? Recipes are made with a blend of milk and cream and churned at a low speed for an irresistibly creamy texture. Visiting the OG shop in the Beach neighbourhood is one of my favourite activities in the warmer months. While the lineups are generally long, it's worth the wait to get your hands on a fresh waffle cone brimming with some of their fans' favourite flavours including sweet cream, triple chocolate and burnt marshmallow. Take your cone for a stroll while you saunter along the boardwalk to admire Lake Ontario and this picturesque east end neighbourhood.

Yelp
Really good ice cream for a reasonable price. There's a lot of gelato flavours and regular ice cream flavours to choose from. I got the apricot sorbet and the cassis yoghurt - DELICIOUS. My partner got 4 - strawberry cream, rocky road, hazelnut gelato, and mango sorbet. Also delicious. The fruit flavours tasted like real fruit. Would've been nice if they had seating to sit inside, but there is a park around the corner so we ate there and it wasn't too bad. Friendly and well staffed. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
The Burnt Marshmallow ice cream and Mango sorbet were delicious, but the Red Hot Chili Chocolate gelato was so good that I went back for seconds! Be sure to get a freshly made waffle cone too!! The 3 stars are because the scoops are disappointingly small. Not at all what you see on social media. P.S. I ordered and paid for the largest size they offer, but I don't think that's what I got. It seems to depend on who scoops your ice cream and/or gelato, which isn't cool. LOL! Get it? Cool? #dadjoke
google avatar

Yelp
Ed's was pretty good but nothing different. That said, the people are super friendly, the scoops are pretty generous, the prices are reasonable, and that waffle cone is absolutely amazing. So don't let my tastebuds stop you from supporting them, because a whole lot of other people really love them.

Yelp
Fantastic cookies n cream. Fresh sugar and waffle cones. Friendly service, QUALITY. Also in a great area to walk while u eat it..

Yelp
Very good ice cream place. You can tell from the lineups. Right now, they have 2 booths where they take your order from and you're being served really fast. Service is nice and friendly. Their kids sizes are generous too. I got the chocolate hazelnut flavor which was delicious.

Yelp
My husband and I were in the area and wanted ice cream, we ended up finding Ed's and it was such a hidden little gem! So many great flavors to choose from, helpful staff! Would recommend!

Yelp
I've always loved Eds - especially their green tea flavour which is unfortunately only available in the summer. We came here after dinner yesterday and I was so glad that this location closes at 10 so we were able to make it on time. I was torn between vanilla bean or being festive and trying their pumpkin flavour. He went with strawberry which I knew was amazing so when I didn't like the pumpkin, he switched with me :) Service is always friendly and the ice cream is creamy and delicious - but pumpkin isn't for everyone lol
google avatar

Vveerrgg E.

Yelp
Walk up service on a fun street. Some of the best flavours on the east side. Plan for a line up in the summer
google avatar

Bernie C.

Yelp
Whoa THAT is good ice cream! Coffee toffee and chocolate peanut butter fudge are fantastic. For us, Ed's beats Cow's, Kawartha, Baskin Robbins - it's pretty much the best ice cream we can remember having. So glad we discovered it.

Yelp
I was first introduced to Ed's Real Scoop while I was working at Queen and Roncesvalles while at University. A few years later and now I live close to the Leslieville location, which I visit regularly. I adamantly believe Ed's serves the best ice cream in Toronto. The ice creams have incredible textures, and the flavours are rich and have depth. I love keeping a pint of their pistachio gelato in my freezer at all times.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite ice cream shop on the GTA. only spot that comes close is Bang Bang. My go to flavors, in order, are Milky Way , Callebaut Milk Chocolate , and Triple Chocolate ... with an honorable mention to their Sweet Cream .. a great flavor to mix others with. It's hard to come here and not walk away with a callebaut shake and a pint to enjoy from home. (Tip: if you're getting a pint, mix the callebaut with their sweet cream ) Their waffle cones are also home made and really really good. I just have one big problem with this place... I've only had Milky Way once 1-2 years ago cuz I don't think they've carried it since!! I'd almost deduct a star for that but can't do it.

Yelp
Burnt marshmallow to die for!!! The line up is worth the wait, and don't be surprised when it's 20 people deep it's that good!

Yelp
If you have a special guy in your life and you want to please him, give him Ed's. I love getting Ed's so much. I-scream when I get Ed's. But read on below and I'll give you the real scoop. What to get: Coffee Ice Cream, Rhubarb Ice Cream, Creme Brulee Ice Cream, or anything really. What not to get: French Mint, or anything French ever. Just kidding. Really truly kidding. One of the best ice cream shops in North America, and easily the best I've tried in Canada eh. The Coffee, Rhubarb, Creme Brulee, and others, are some of the best flavours I've tried anywhere. I'm not sure what makes Ed's so good but there's a reason all the boys and all the girls always seem to want to be given some Ed. I'm writing this with Mouthwash in my mouth, so the pain is borderline excruciating, but even that does not compare to the pain of not being able to go to Ed's on any given day (grr, border crossing). I do go whenever I'm in Toronto though, and I squeal with delight when they have Rhubarb. I mean who even does Rhubarb anything ever? But I love it. Other than that, the Créme Brulée is the one that rocks my world. It's heavenly and perfect. The Burnt Marshmallow is one of the most popular but is just good, not great. The French Mint is hyper-minty and not too good. The prices are okay, the service is nice, and the clentele are very... well, white. I felt like a real immigrant and dark-skinned foreigner while in here. Oh wait, I kind of am by some questionable Trumpian yardsticks. But still. It was nice to see how the other half of Toronto live. Lots of summer mothers with prams and push chairs or on their bikes with all the hipster-meets-suburbia chic going on up and down this street. But with this ice cream being, by far, the highlight. If you want to try some amazing homemade ice cream, go 'Ed and go to Ed's. Getting Ed's isn't just something that guys love. It's something that girls adore too. Especially when it's done right. And Ed's does it right.

Yelp
Been going to Ed's since forever! BURNT MARSHMALLOW is a must for me at Ed's lol. I love the smokey taste... just like roasting marshmallows on an open campfire! And then there is Very Stout, which taste like Guinness beer... a tad bitter but oddly refreshing! And also Blueberry Pie, and Raspberry White Chocolate, and endless amount of choices! I get very excited for ice cream and creamy gelato... but not so much of the fruity ones! But if you're feeling fruity, I heard Blood Orange is a pop seller! Occasionally they will offer ice cream made with alcohol (two of my loves!). I have never tried Sangria but I hope they will bring it back this summer! Make sure you sample, sample, sample! And remember to pick one complementary topping for your frozen treat - I always forget that because I would start devouring the ice cream already XD Skor bits go with most flavours ^^ If you have never been... you have to make your way to Ed's now. With 3 locations, they are still buzzing with customers all summer long. Staff are cheerful and friendly, they sure know how to put a smile on my face! #dietwhatdiet I'm going back tmr lol.

Yelp
Nothing else to say but great ice cream/ gelato! So many wholesome flavours to choose from. We got pina colada gelato, it was so sweet and light! For two scoops in a cup it was $5. There was quite a line, approx 15 minute wait, but it goes fast! I posted some pictures of the recent price list and the gelato window.
google avatar

Yelp
I am a big fan of pumpkin spice lattes - and I found their ice cream equivalent today. delicious flavour - I got a pint for home and it will last me for a while as it is quite rich and filling. I will be back for other flavours :) I am so happy they remain open during the hard lockdown!
google avatar

Susan T.

Yelp
Ed's Scoop is always a great place to stop by on a hot summer day to get your ice cream or gelato fix. There's usually a long line up but it goes by quickly. This time around, I ordered the grapefruit and mango sorbet on a sugar cone. The mango sorbet is always good but this was my first time trying the grapefruit flavour. The grapefruit flavour is nice with a touch of bitterness. Definitely for grapefruit lovers out there.

Yelp
Just a fair warning - this may be bias because my fiance took me here on our first date but at the same time, I can just about guarantee you won't be disappointed. On a warm/hot/humid day, you're bound to find a line up snaking its way down the sidewalk from their doors. Don't let that scare you away because all you have to do is take a big sniff - the smell of perfectly toasted waffle cones will keep you happy in line. There are always interesting flavours but I find myself always favouring the mint chocolate chip or their well-known burnt marshmallow! Like I said, this ice cream stand will always be near and dear to me but I can also say ... when you're needing a treat, a reason to celebrate or.. well, just some dessert... go get some Ed's!!
google avatar

Cindy D.

Yelp
Came here after eating a big meal and was wondering on Queen Street looking for something sweet to eat and happened to see this. Noticed that there was a massive line that was all the way outside, past the doors. The line moved through relatively quickly but there was a lot of people trying to go outside. I like the way their system worked. When one employee was done with a customer, they would help the next customer waiting in line all the way to cashing them out. I tried a few samples and ended up with the double scoop of salted caramel and burnt marshmallow, both were good!! My friend got the waffle scoop with popcorn and hers did really taste like butter popcorn. Just wished there was more AC during our trip there haha
google avatar

Yelp
I just love Ed's Real Scoop! Red Hot Chili Chocolate Gelato at Ed's Real Scoop is now my new fave! Yes being Hot and Spicy lady like me, I found the dessert that fit my style. First taste is so rich with chocolate favour and the hint of spiciness at the bottom of my throat as an after taste. hmmmm......yay....... The guy that serves me the ice cream is so nice and cheerful. I have to say the services here is excellent. It is so hard to decide on which favours since there are so many to pick from. I might have to try every single one I have an eye for and still cannot make a decision! Another reason I love the ice cream here is they has more complex flavour.. not just like some sweet sugary ice cream that the only thing I can say is it is sweet! Yes I will be back! And I won't be counting the calories or the fat content!

Yelp
Don't let my rating tell you how great this place is... the line up out the door would be your clearest sign. We arrived on a Saturday early evening and already you can see the line up at the door. We weren't sure if we could fit but we managed. It is a tiny little store but behind the counter there is an army of staff just helping everyone. Please dont let the line up stop you... it is worth it and the line moves kinda fast. It maybe took us a little under 15 minutes from the door to walking out with our scoops. They have a lot of flavours and it always rotating. I did snap a pic as there's no menu on their website. They something for everyone... ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and frozen yogurt Plus they do give everyone one free topping of a candy. Every little kid was walking out with either sprinkles or gummy bears on their cones. They also offered several types of cones! The traditional one but a lot of people were walking out with the great looking waffle ones. I was tempted but I got a simple cup cause I was still full from dinner! I was sooo tempted by the ice cream especially the Mercury Espresso but I'm a gelato girl at heart and I was sooo happy to see their gelato not a crazy neon colour (that indicates fake colouring added). So I tried the Amarena Cherry, Tiramisu, and Pistachio. Amerena Cherry - To me, when cherry is good.. its very very good. it needs a balance of sweet and tart to keep it out of the cough syrup territory. Ed's rendition is quite good... it is a touch more sweet than I'd like but still a great option. 3.5/5 Tiramisu - Ok, this was very good ... creamy with very good moments of espresso flavours and I liked the bit of lady fingers buried in the gelato. Nice one to have 4/5 Pistachio - This is the one that made me try their gelato over their ice cream. It's a muted green that speaks to using real nuts instead of fake neon green powder or dye. This was just great. A true lover of nuts would get this over and over. Strong nutty flavour hits your tongue and stays there after the sweetness subsides. 4.5/5 I haven't tried all the ice cream and gelato in Toronto but Ed's is definitely the real deal and very good!

Yelp
Great ice cream. What else is there to say. My bro in law and soon to be sis in law brought my family here. Great way to end the night.
google avatar

Alina C.

Yelp
Love coming here for ice-cream when I'm downtown. The must flavours when I'm here is the burnt marshmallow and pistachios ice-cream on waffle cones. If you go closer to closing, you'll miss out on some popular flavours and even the cones. Will be buying a pint of the burnt marshmallow the next time I'm there.
google avatar

Lindsay T.

Yelp
Simply the best ice cream in Toronto. Every time I eat ice cream that is not Ed's now, I'm disappointed. Also, they surprisingly make incredible chocolates at Christmastime. Those are my go-to gift for teachers, colleagues, neighbours.

Yelp
Ed's seems to be somewhat of a famous place although I've not really heard of it. I guess that has something to do with the fact that I'm a west sider and this place is of east side fame. Regardless of Ed's renown reputation our group basically had minutes to order and taste before having to leave. You see coming through the front door when the place is going to close in about 5 minutes is frowned upon, understandingly of course. The gang working here wants to get their weekend on just like we already have by consuming copious amounts of fried chicken just down the street at Kaboom near Broadview. Taking that "damp" cool walk east on Queen to Logan wasn't far but it was an awakening experience... sobering even when I'm already half asleep from filling my belly with IMO is the city's best Korean fried chicken there's nothing like a chilly walk to a chill place to have a chill dessert to counter all that savory deep fried goodness. Ice cream is a remedy for many things and this place has your cure. Yes, Ed's is that place and with the variety of ice cream and gelato perhaps you get the picture. The race to get yourself from Broadview to Logan is now on... get to Ed's before they close and that's what they did. Finally getting through the doors we were welcomed by a rainbow of choices, flavors you may not have heard of and staples that are as classic as just about any other place. The realization is that yes you have to make a choice since the place is closing at 9pm. Of course not every visit here could be that close to closing and perhaps you'd have time to sit, absorb the treat, have a seat and just enjoy your frozen goodness. As I usually do I go with the two scoop choice of hazelnut and lemon gelato. I don't know what it is but I always go to those two flavors regardless of where I have gelato provided they have these relatively staple and standard flavors and yes, Ed's Real Scoop has these I mean seriously why wouldn't they? In what seemed to be a pretty generous serving of a cold treat on a cooler evening, having to leave was such a shame. You know you're Canadian when you're eating ice cream or gelato outdoors at night in temperatures just above freezing on a "damp" cool night. With the amount of places to eat on Queen East between Broadview and Jones this location is sort of neutral and can be accessed by foot and it probably the perfect brisk walk one needs after having a big dinner in a comfortable spot. I could see how this trek would be even more of a treat if it was summer and blazing hot but even in the relatively cold of winter you can (and you should) pop in for a sweet treat... I mean why wouldn't you want to?
google avatar

Anthony W.

Yelp
My favourite ice cream in Toronto! We always get pints to take home as well. Favourite flavours include: raspberry sorbet, pistachio and maple bacon crunch. The maple bacon crunch is not always available, so if you see it you should definitely try it out! They also have a pint stamp card. When we order scoops, I usually get 2 flavours that contrast each other. There's always a line but service is quick, so don't let the line deter you!
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous selection of ice cream and gelato. Located in Leslieville, be prepared for a line! The staff understand the hard decision you're about to make, so they will happily let you try some before you take the plunge. It's in a cute area to walk around with your ice cream. There are a couple tables inside and benches outside, but good luck getting a seat! Love this place!! Must go back!!
google avatar

Cecilia M.

Yelp
Nestled in Leslieville, it's one of the most popular places in the neighbourhood. ATMOSPHERE: Super lovely place. Warm and bright - in vibe and people. It's a neighbourhood gem for sure. On weekends, you'll see young families making a pit stop here all the time. There are a few tables inside and a couple of benches outside. But like most ice cream parlours, the clientele usually take out. Who doesn't love a stroll in the sun with a waffle cone? SERVICE: Nice and friendly. Feel free to ask for samples before you make the (extremely) tough decision on which flavour(s) you will indulge in on this current visit. PRICE: Good. Competitive pricing with other ice cream parlours and gelato shops. FOOD: They have the best range of ice cream and gelato flavours I have ever seen under one roof! Not only amazing quantity of choices but the flavours are out-of-this-world fantastic. Some of my favs include: pumpkin pie, coconut, and burnt marshmallow. Kids of all ages will love this place.

Yelp
I made a special trip to Leslieville as I was craving ice cream with a satisfying texture. My only other experience of Ed's Real Scoop ice cream is that which was served by Dirty Bird with their dessert waffles and from that experience, I fell in love with Ed's ice cream. Ed's has quite the selection of flavours and styles of ice cream to choose from, including frozen yogurt, gelato, and good old fashioned ice cream. Pints are also available for $9 and you can collect stamps on a loyalty card to eventually redeem towards free ice cream. I sampled quite a few flavours. The standouts for me were the sweet cream (which came closest to the ice cream texture I was seeking), and the calamansi flavour (think key lime). Their popular burnt marshmallow flavour was good but too sweet for my palate. I ended up succumbing to gelato under pressure to make a decision but the gelato melted far too quickly for me to truly appreciate it for its taste and texture. The lines can grow quite long but service is generally quick and pleasant. Don't forget that you can get 1 complimentary topping with the purchase of ice cream! Perhaps next time I'll try buying one of their pints of ice cream to enjoy at home and hopefully will discover the bite and chewy ice cream texture I have come to associate with Ed's Real Scoop. 3.5 stars.

Yelp
So glad found this awesome icecream spot. It's tiny and cute but with a dwlicisous variety of icecream. We tried a couple of flavours before settling on two. We could do two mini scoops and get toppings. It was just perfect. The icecream itself is very tasty! Love this spot.

Yelp
Four words: Mercury Espresso, waffle cone. One of the best places for ice cream in the city. One of my all time favourite flavours, that I believe is exclusive to this location, is Mercury Espresso, named after the cafe across the street. Another great flavour is Rock of Ages, if I remember the name correctly, sadly though, it's not always available. I almost always get their ice cream in a waffle cone because they're homemade and probably one of the best waffle cones I've ever had.
google avatar

Nikita I.

Yelp
Meh... I didn't experience anything here that will make me want to return. There was a very long line as it was just after lunch and the weather was very hot. They were very organized so orders were taken fast and efficiently. The ice cream was averagely priced ($3-6 for cones or cups depending on number of scoops and type of cone). There were many flavors to choose from. I would say their selection was as big as a baskin robins. They also have pints available if u want to take a flavor home as well. The ice cream was average tasting, so I wouldn't go out of my way to return here.

Yelp
The burnt marshmallow is absolutely creamy and not to sweet, it's pure deliciousness. The only reason for the three stars, is that the other night when I had gone with a group of friends. There were other people and place was a little packed, I get it can get frustrating but that's not my point. As everyone else got served, my friends. Other people, I asked for a small sample because I usually get burnt marshmallow. I wanted to try something different, when I asked the person that was helping out with our group. After she was done helping everyone, If I could have a sample, she gave me one. It was good until I realized she had given me a broken wooden popsicle stick, with the sharp/jagged broken side. The one with the sample on it, I ended up getting a splinter right at the top of my mouth...again. I know it can get frustrating with a lot of people, all I ask is not a broken popsicle stick stabbing into my mouth.

Yelp
This place is dangerous. Dangerous in the sense that I went here for the first time last week and found myself craving their ice cream every single day since then. Yes, it's really that good and I get the hype now. I got the burnt marshmallow and french mint regular cone along with m&m toppings for about $5. It was absolute heaven and easily the best ice cream I've had in Toronto. I love that they give you one free topping and that they have incredible customer service. Next time, I would probably get a kids cone cause their ice cream is very creamy and heavy (which I love!). The only thing that I didn't like was how little seating they have inside the place. Will I come back? Probably another hundred times.

burnt marshmellow and their expresso ice-cream. MUST HAVE. all their flavours are very good overall. i Like that you're able to try their flavours to see if you like it. and even portions they are quite generous. you can have two flavours even in the kiddie cup!! :) every time i'm in Leslieville i always stop by here for a treat :)

Yelp
This place serves the BEST ice cream I have ever tasted. I got the s'mores and the crème brûlée. Both were exceptional and the price was great as well. We got a pint for 9$. Even more exceptional than the ice cream was the customer service. I was so impressed how each employee looked you in the eye when they spoke to you and made sure you didn't feel rushed even though it was the end of their shift. Such an amazing find and I will definitely be craving this place way more than I should be!

Yelp
Yay: - Quite a selection of flavors - Loved the Mercury Espresso and Burnt Marshmallow Nay: - Long line up when I went and very crowded as its a small shop but it was super nice outside so just ate outside! Was super excited and hyped up for the burnt marshmallow. It was good but wasn't super amazing so couldn't give it a 5 star. The waffle cone was somewhat fresh but it could have been more fresh at the time I went which was around 3:00 pm on a sunday.

Yelp
One of the city's best ice cream joints all year round. I've been coming to Ed's for the past 6 years whenever I get the opportunity to be in the Leslieville area. The staff are always friendly and cheerful and encourage you to try any flavour, or all if you really wanted to or if you're the indecisive type. My favourites are creme brûlée and French mint and sometimes coffee toffee. Ed's has a fridge that carries ready to go pints with a selection of customer favourites. You can also customize your pint with what they have in the ready to serve freezer. Mix and match to the flavours to create your perfect tub.

Yelp
We stopped by this place only because we saw a huge line up , so I assumed it must be something special...! We tried Creme Brule...while it tasted as it should, but nothing out of the world. There are better icecream options that give you the 'aha' moment.

Yelp
I ordered the straciatella + Bacio gelato - the straciatella had yummy chunks of chocolate and the Bacio tasted like frozen Nutella... excellent combination :) My parents had the pistachio gelato and felt it was superior to pistachio at other places - tasted more fresh/authentic. Would gladly visit again!
