"A new bar that will highlight women’s sports is aiming to open in Austin this year. ATX Women’s Sports Pub wants to open in the fall of 2024, with an address to be determined still." - Nadia Chaudhury

"The historic building that housed Waller Ballroom is now Edwin's Sports Bar. Located at 700 East 6th Street, the bar has the same owners, who also run Waller Creek Pub next door. And yes, it is showing the World Cup. The bar is named after the first mayor of Austin, Edwin Waller. The bar will serve food and drinks, including buckets of beer, a margarita sampler with house-made purées, frosé, and a specialty barrel–aged cocktail. The food menu is still under development, but the Edwin’s team told Eater there will be “elevated bar food” which means “many flavors of fancy fries.” One of these will be Reuben fries, which are fries mixed with house–made corned beef, kraut, Russian dressing, and melted Swiss cheese. The owners also stressed that Edwin’s will preserve, not renovate, the 1893 building is occupies. This means keeping the brick walls and a 1930s ceiling, although there are 10 TVs throughout the space. The space also has a dog-friendly outdoor courtyard and a balcony overlooking Waller Creek. Edwin’s is open seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m." - Erin Russell

Great vibe. Tanner is a great bartender and knows how to make you feel at home. Burgers are the biggest surprise. Asian, Italian and buffalo fries are a hit. This isn't a bar burger. Gourmet and stellar. Don't miss the happy hour!

This is a popular sports bar, it tends to be a place where various team supporters meet, good atmosphere, friendly bar staff, prices a little dearer than some others, my wife and I enjoyed our time there, shout out to Clemson supporters who made us welcome...

Food was good, beer was cold staff was very friendly. If you are looking for full service this is not the place to go you need to walk up to bar to order food and it is then delivered to table. They have a small outdoor balcony and decent sized patio. Nice if you want to escape the noise of the bar. It would recommend for football games. There are several TV's and it's a good vibe for UT games.

This place is great! So glad there is a new sports bar on 6th St. They have a open floor plan, clean bathrooms, and awesome staff. Now I have a good spot to watch sports, chill, and have a bite before a show on Red River. Their weekly specials are killer and food is outstanding! Highly recommend stopping in for a drink or two!! I'll be back Edwin's!

Awesome bar! We went for a Thursday Night Football game and it was filled enough to be a fun place to watch but not so filled we couldn't fit our very big party there. Bartender was friendly and they had some good specials. Don't let it being on 6th Street scare you away -- it's far enough from the hooplah that you can catch the game and be out and mostly avoid it.

I ordered my food at 9:07 PM it is now 10:36 and I still don't have my food and the game is over. My order was confused 3 times in total and the service at the tables is meh... I wouldn't recommend coming here. As a sports bar, food and service is essential but neither were up to par. Food was comped, however, both worth the time waiting on food and not being able to enjoy the environment. P.S. Updating to reflect 4 stars as the staff acknowledged their missteps and rectified the situation however I still recommend better preparation.

This is supposed to be a sport's bar. Ordered 12 wings.... Which are appetizers here, nothing crazy. It's game night, so the server said it would take half an hour for it to come out - understandable. Ordered in the first quarter. An hour and a half later, it's still not out, and the fourth quarter has started. Make sure you order hours in advance if you want to eat while watching the game. Will be lucky to get them before the game ends. This is my first and last time coming here
