Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings

"Ephesus had been a Turkish restaurant for years before new owners switched things up with a Greek menu in 2022. But the original owners have returned (stay with us), bringing back those Turkish dishes to West Seattle and renaming the place . Look for things like lamb chops and kebabs on the menu, and—just in time for some decent Seattle weather—the patio is reopening too." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

This place is gorgeous! Staff is very very kind. They were helpful and patient when we were deciding between different delicious food options. The ambiance was so comfortable and cozy. The entrees were delicious- as were the main courses. Absolute wonderful place to be for a birthday dinner, or any other event. Amazing hospitality, we left with a smile and a full stomach. :)

Welcome back to the neighborhood Efesis! As a fellow Türk I can attest that this food is top tier delicious, authentic, and reminds me of my family dinners back in Izmir. The Adana Kebab was mouth watering, and leave room for dessert!

I hear the original owner is back. Food was Sooo good and fresh. I know it's really simple but there House salad is Great....that and an order of Hummus is a perfect meal I've been there twice in one week.

The food and service were outstanding! I had the day’s special, lamb stew, which was very flavorful and delicious. My girlfriend ordered the mixed meat kabobs that were tasty. The Caesar salad that came with the main was crisp and fresh. The focaccia bread and assorted hummus spreads were a great appetizer. A perfect finish to our meal was the homemade baklava—some of the best I’ve ever had!! I highly recommend Efesis and I definitely will be back for more.

Our favorite dessert in West Seattle! The hummus, house salad, and chicken kebabs we got were all great, but the dessert really stole the show. We splurged and ordered one each of the pistachio rolls, baklava, and chocolate cake (I forget the exact name) and they were all spectacular. Probably the best baklava we’ve had! The service was also wonderful and the atmosphere is really nice - the seating is comfortable and there’s a good amount of space between tables. It was raining hard tonight but we’d love to eat on the patio in the summer. We’ll definitely be back.

Generally the food is tasty and straightforward. Pita and hummus are both excellent. Service is ok and friendly. As some others have commented, dirty wine glasses, windows could do with a clean. The place has so much potential and the improvements dont need to be much to make it a stand out place. Currently it is good, but it could be great. 18% Service charge is automatically applied, which it says on small menu stands on the tables. For two people with hummus and pita, two kebab mains and two glasses of wine it comes to the $90 range.

Menu has many healthy Mediterranean choices, attentive staff, lovely indoor private booths and tables, outside on deck with distant view of the Salish Sea and Olympic Mountains. Lovely addition to West Seattle's restaurant scene, a cozy yet elegant restaurant

We are happy that another restaurant has opened in West Seattle. We had enjoyed this restaurant many years ago and were trying it out again with the previous owner having returned. The food was very nice, but quite expensive. $30 for a kebab and rice. We spent over $90 with tip for two people and that was only one entree, a salad and prawn skewer. No alcohol. We drank water. My first impressions or the restaurant were that it looked exactly the same as it did years ago, now a bit tired. The wine glasses on the table were dirty. The windows had not been cleaned, which made the environment a bit gloomy, as the sun was shining. It has only been reopened for three weeks, so I hope they can spruce up the place.
