12 Seattle Restaurant Openings for April 2025 | Eater Seattle

"The original owner Hasan Ocak has reopened his West Seattle Turkish mainstay under a new name. The backstory, recounted by WSB, is that the initial restaurant had been bought by owners who changed the menu from Turkish to Greek, then closed the West Seattle restaurant, then opened a Pioneer Square restaurant; now the original restaurant is back under old management but a new name." - Harry Cheadle

Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings

"Ephesus had been a Turkish restaurant for years before new owners switched things up with a Greek menu in 2022. But the original owners have returned (stay with us), bringing back those Turkish dishes to West Seattle and renaming the place . Look for things like lamb chops and kebabs on the menu, and—just in time for some decent Seattle weather—the patio is reopening too." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

Efesis - Review - West Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

I'm thrilled to have discovered this hidden Greek gem. The pita bread is unquestionably the best I've ever had, with a perfectly soft interior and a lightly toasted, flavorful crust. Their Greek salads are fresh and vibrant, bursting with crisp vegetables, feta cheese, and a tangy dressing. I particularly love the Kabob mixed plate, which offers a generous assortment of authentic Greek favorites, expertly prepared. I regret not finding this place sooner. The ambiance is elegant yet cozy, with warm lighting and tasteful decor, complemented by outstanding service. I highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking genuine Greek cuisine that not only tastes incredible but also sits comfortably in your stomach.

This place is gorgeous! Staff is very very kind. They were helpful and patient when we were deciding between different delicious food options. The ambiance was so comfortable and cozy. The entrees were delicious- as were the main courses. Absolute wonderful place to be for a birthday dinner, or any other event. Amazing hospitality, we left with a smile and a full stomach. :)

I don't normally like baklava but this one was Moist and had lots of flavor. The eggplant was wow. That's a hard veggie to cook in my opinion. The mixed entree was very yummy. The lamb was super soft. I would go back when on town

I’ve had the chance to eat at several Michelin-level restaurants and travel around the world, and I was highly impressed with Efesis Mediterranean Cuisine. The food was excellent and offered at a great price compared to authentic gourmet dining. The atmosphere was warm and very clean, the service was quick and friendly, and everything felt well taken care of. The kebabs and mezes were perfectly seasoned, not too spicy, just the right balance of flavors. The grilled green vegetables that came with the dinner plate were perfect, and the freshly baked wood-oven pita bread was outstanding, really elevating the entire meal. Our group included vegetarians and a couple of friends who needed gluten-free options, and everyone was pleased with their food. Personally, I don’t like food with too many strong spices, and the seasoning here was absolutely perfect for me. This was honestly the best food I’ve eaten in Seattle so far. I live on the east side, but it’s absolutely worth the drive to West Seattle for such excellent food. It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines exceptional food, fair prices, outstanding service, and a spotless environment all in one place. I highly recommend Ephesus to anyone who enjoys gourmet food in a comfortable restaurant setting. I guarantee you’ll love the food and leave happy, just like I did.

Huge thank you to Hassan and his excellent team for making my birthday special tonight! The service was stellar, food fresh and flavorful and atmosphere perfect. Couldn’t have asked for more. First January I can recall where Hassan was in town. Lucky me!

Welcome back to the neighborhood Efesis! As a fellow Türk I can attest that this food is top tier delicious, authentic, and reminds me of my family dinners back in Izmir. The Adana Kebab was mouth watering, and leave room for dessert!
