Eggslut

A great takeout option in busy Venice. They specialize in to go, but there are also many tables inside so you can eat inside if you want, which is what we chose to do this past Saturday morning. We wanted to go to a restaurant close by, but the line was extremely long and thankfully Eggslut has very quick service and very good food so it was a great alternate option. The menu is very limited, there are only a handful of items. The most popular being the soft scramble breakfast sandwich, but for this most recent visit, I wanted to mix it up and try the Double Cheeseburger. There are many locations, but this is one of my favorites because it is very close to the beach. Pricing is pretty fair and everything that we ordered was ready within 10 minutes. Parking in this area can be a bit of a hassle and it’s hard to find free parking, but it is possible. I started off my breakfast with the Slut which is a coddled egg mixed with potato puree. It sounds weird, but it is honestly really good. The runny egg really makes for a great treat. As mentioned I wanted to try something different this time so I ordered their Double Cheeseburger and honestly really enjoyed it. It comes with guacamole, which is one of my favorite things ever and the patties were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. It was large, but not overly big. They also have an amazing Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cold Brew. It was one of the better cold brews that I’ve had in a very long time and would highly recommend it. I would honestly go back here specifically for that cold brew. Overall, a great to go option for breakfast or lunch. I have been many times in the past and will visit again many times in the future. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

If you’re craving a top-tier breakfast sandwich, Eggslut delivers. The brioche buns are perfectly toasted, the eggs are creamy and flavorful, and the cheddar adds just the right amount of sharpness. Their hash browns are crispy, golden perfection — a must-have side. Pair it all with a fresh orange juice, and you’ve got a killer start to your day. Great vibes, and even better food.

Amazing French Toast! They taste like churros, but super soft and warm. They’re smothered in sugar and cinnamon. It came with a side of something but it had the consistency of yogurt but it was a little sweet and tangy. I got 3 eggs in which I forgot to specify scrambled but they were still delicious and well cooked. I also got the vegetarian option of the rosemary hash brown and they were amazing, a little salty but they lacked no flavor. Atmosphere was small, they do have free water on the side for you to drink. My friend got the vanilla cold brew and it was better than anything we’ve tried, it was thick and just the right amount of sweet. It was a bit loud in there too but I would recommend for a quick trip but probably not to sit there and eat. I got there around 12:30 and it was starting to get packed. In total I spent $17.12 The parking in the area is about $10 an hour.

Great little breakfast stop. By the crowd inside and consistent flow of customers, I can see it's well loved. I'm gluten-free, so the only option I had was to substitute the brioche for salad. The salad had a refreshing vinegarette, but the main character, the Fairfax egg scramble, was YUMMY! My partner had the egg and sausage sandwich, which may have ended up all over his shirt. 🤪😂 One of the chefs noticed and quickly offered him a napkin with cold water. If you love eggs and enjoy a good vibe, I'd definitely give this place a try. The only drawback is limited seating, but again, that's a vibe, and we enjoyed the experience

It’s a great breakfast sandwich but overhyped in my opinion. The bread is perfectly soft. But a bit large for the size of scrambled eggs. Caramelized onions add a great flavor. Has a little seating area for upto 10 people. No guest washroom.

We walked into this establishment not entirely sure what was served (well besides eggs obviously 😅). We got greeted right when we walked in, super friendly workers. Both egg sandwiches that we ordered were fantastic, eggs were made just the way that we wanted (scrambled and over-easy). We decided to try the orange juice, and it was fresh. Chill vibes inside the restaurant, would come here again!

Service was fine. Very limited indoor seating. Fresh OJ was very good. You could tell it was freshly squeezed. Food looked delicious but was mid in terms of taste. The chicken salad was pretty bland. Everyone in my group said the bread was a bit too hard (not stale) just not that soft bread you think of with traditional croissant type breakfast sandwiches. There were very limited drink choices: bottled coke (no other flavor) , bottled water, coffee (hot or cold) or OJ. To end on a positive note, the cook prepared the eggs perfectly per our request. Overall a very underwhelming experience. We have no plans on returning.

You *have* to visit here. We just made it before closing (2pm) and the boys are so nice, the food is incredible. Traveled from Australia 🇦🇺 and the holiday wouldn't have been the same without Eggslut!

Delicious sandwiches. Quick service. Small place but churns out great food! The French toast sticks and the truffle hash browns are superb.

I was so looking forward to eating at this iconic LA egg sandwich shop. I really wanted to love it. The biscuit was so dry. I was tempted to return it. The biscuit recipe needs to be revisited or it could have been even an old biscuit. A good biscuit is supposed to be moist and almost creamy inside with a nice subtle crust and crunch on the outside. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was underwhelming. The egg was supposed to be the star since this restaurant is called egg slut. But the egg was so unsubstantial. The bacon stole the show. The brioche bread was just alright, no super soft or anything special, it was actually a bit on the dry side too. The egg yolk was runny which I liked but just not enough of it. I suggest more eggs and less bacon. The Fairfax sandwich was better. It had nice soft eggs, cheese and onions. Still, not a wow. But good. The lines were out the door this Saturday morning at 10:30am. Service was fine. The place was small and packed with tables and stools. It had good energy because of all the people inside and outside but the egg was just not the star of the food. I definitely have had better biscuit and better egg sandwiches. All in all, a disappointing experience.

French toast sticks are a must get!!! Tasted more like a churro and the dip with it is delicious!!! I loved this way more than the sandwich. Sandwich is good, bread is fluffy but the bread just seems so big compared to the content inside (bacon egg cheese). Might taste better for those that order a hamburger or something with a patty but still, great spot for a casual bite.

Super delicious! I just discovered there is an eggslut near work in Venice! I ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese via uber eats and it was absolutely phenomenal! I have no idea how they got the egg to still be beautifully over-easy when I received my order, but it was truly legendary. A few weeks ago, I had an eggslut sandwich at an event at work and I was dying to get my hands on another one. Something about it being so simple, yet so delicious was completely up my alley! I loved the fact that one sandwich didn't overfill me, I can comfortably still do my job without needing a giant nap afterwards. Looking forward to another breakfast sammich in the future!

I got the Fairfax with avocado and it was very flavorful! But the star of the show was hash browns, I would've been happy with just that! The service was fast and when I went it wasn't busy and had places to sit. It's very fast paced and loud so I'd eat here after a night out and you want to go somewhere quick and delicious! I'll definitely be back!

The fairfax sandwich was delicious! The buns and eggs itself was very soft to the point where you don't have to chew. However, the only downside to this sandwich specific was having more caramelized onions inside. As for the chives in the eggs, it brought a nice fragrance and freshness to the sandwich. The service was very fast and friendly. We ordered for takeout but soon realized we won't have time to eat it out. Luckily the softness made it fast to eat. We would definitely come back on our next LA trip! :)

Went here for a quick breakfast and Togo food before our flight, we got here right at 8 am when they opened and they were still setting up a bit. We quickly ordered and sat down and ended up eating there because there was the space and we were quickly serviced. The orange juice we both remarked tasted definitely fresh squeezed which was really good, not the best fresh squeezed orange juice I've ever had but it was solid. Both of the sandwiches were really good and I'm glad we got both bc it was fun to switch back and forth as I liked different aspects of Both. Originally I liked the Fairfax more but the more I eat it the more I felt like it www too mushy, and it was good to eat the bacon on for some crunch. Both were really great tho, great spot to grab and go, they have window seating for you to view passerby's, water out for people to grab. I didn't notice a bathroom inside which is the only thing tho

Pretty packed small restaurant with limited seating area but it's by venice beach so it's nice to just order togo and go eat it on the beach anyways. I got the cheeseburger and the bacon egg and cheese, both were pretty good but a bit pricey for just being egg sandwiches. The truffle hash browns were really good though, nice and crispy, still flaky. I'd only go here once in a long while but overall had good experience

Cool spot to stop at after a nice morning walk along the beach. The Egg Salad Sandwich and Orange Juices tasted fresh and amazing.

I've been coming to Eggslut for years. The food is always good. Especially the sausage , egg and cheese sandwich. Service is good. Always polite and it's always fast service.

Been seeing this place for years, finally got around to trying it. Definitely recommend this location over the Grand Central one as it's much more packed and parking is more difficult (and usually not free). Limited seating inside - recommend ordering to go as they're not prepared to comfortably hold a lot of people. Biscuit - this was good for the first couple of bites, but it becomes really heavy after. These are hit or miss because sometimes we really like them, and sometimes it's too much. Comes with butter if you're into that, but be careful as the grease will soak through the brown paper bag it comes in. Just be prepared. Sausage egg and cheese - turkey patty color kind of threw me off, but taste was fine. Ended up being messy to eat because the yolk popped while in the bag, which was annoying. I enjoyed the cheese and aioli. I usually don't like brioche as much, but it worked here. Food here is pretty heavy for breakfast. Not really a way to get around it - pretty much everything on the menu is grease galore. If you're going to try Eggslut, come to this location and street park for free. It's better than the string of mediocre brunch places that have popped up in the past couple of years, but you should probably limit your visits here for your cholesterol's sake.

Always have to stop by when I'm nearby, everything on the menu is always great I especially recommend getting the slut.

The area is fabulous and fun to walk around! Prices are totally affordable and a good menu! What's nice about this place is that you can bring your dog and enjoy the day in the area. Service was quick but good luck sitting down somewhere! It's packed most of the time due to the other businesses but it's worth it.

The slut is the best breakfast on the west side! ...........I love it with arugula bacon and extra cheese

Ambiance is good. Coffee is decent. The egg and potato combo is always a great way to start the day.

Good atmosphere, quick and to-the-point service, GOOD breakfast sandwiches! The hashbrowns were bomb too. There's a few places to sit inside, what my friend and I did, which is why I take a star off for NO BATHROOM?

Shortly after arriving in the area for our vacation we walked past this place and of course decided that we needed to come back the next morning for breakfast. There is very limited seating so you may want a backup plan if you want to eat there as they are constantly busy. I wanted to try the slut while my partner had a sandwich. Although he very much enjoyed his sandwich he kind of wished he'd gone with the slut too. It's a unique menu item that really hits the spot, and is just so creamy. It was a great way to start the day and the prices are very reasonable. Staff were friendly and they are always cleaning. You see the entire cook area and I've never seen people keep such neat and tidy work stations. It may seem like a little hole in the wall but they seem to take pride in their work - as they should! I definitely recommend trying this place out and would suggest trying the slut. What a weird thing to say!

First visit and I learned an important lesson, read the menu! I sampled the signature egg, bacon and cheese sandwich, but somehow missed the chipotle catchup reference. Man, that was an unwelcome surprise. The sandwich was good other than the large amount of heavily salted catchup sauce. With the bacon I thought it was way, way too much salt, aside from my aversion to catchup on eggs. Service was quick and the fresh OJ was excellent. I would re-visit if near one of these and hungry for breakfast (and ask for no sauce or something else).

If the name doesn't draw you in, you don't deserve these eggselent breakfast sandwiches. The menu is simple - delicious egg sandwiches with a few eggstra (I swear I'll stop now) delights added in. Also I highly recommend their fresh orange juice. They do customize how you want your eggs. I prefer over medium or over hard, but you just choose your own adventure. The wait can get long during the summer and weekends, so plan accordingly. There's limited seating, but I always like to take mine with me and walk on the Venice boardwalk.

Plain & simple: my mouth waters the minute I start thinking about my experiences eating the Fairfax sandwich. The combo of the soft scrambled eggs, cheese, chives(?), bacon on a fresh af brioche bun... it's a squishy (in the best way), cheesey, warm, savory delight. I love a breakfast sandwich and this is the best I've ever had *Drake voice*. I've only eaten Eggslut solo so I haven't tried anything other than the Fairfax (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). I'd love to try more. Service is fast enough, and you can order ahead (ready when promised for me) if want to pop in & out. 6/5 recommend.

I loveeeee a runny egg, especially in sandwich form, so this was a 10/10 meal for me. Loved it and would definitely come back again.

Super close to Venice beach. Hard to find free street parking, so come early! A little pricey for what it is, but the eggs are truly cooked to perfection! This is def a solid breakfast sandwich! Pillow-y brioche bun, delicious sausage, cheesy goodness and fresh eggs! The sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich came with a fried egg but I would of loved it if it came with the fluffy scrambled egg instead.

I ordered a Fairfax sandwich for takeout and it was absolutely delicious! I particularly enjoyed the soft scrambled eggs in it. The best part was that it was prepared really quickly!

Service was quick and friendly! Love the open kitchen concept, can smell the deliciousness while I wait. Food took about 6min or so. Very limited seating, so make sure you are prepared to take it to go and eat at Venice beach (which is only a short walk away). Luckily some seats by the counter opened up. I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. Every component is cooked and seasoned to perfection. They definitely know what they are doing. Parking is near impossible unless you come very early! There's street parking about 2 blocks away, so be prepare to burn off some calories.

Cool ambiance! We got the bacon, egg and cheese and added avocado, as well as a sausage, egg and cheese. Both were great! Quick nice service. Less than 10 min. A new favorite quick breakfast bite!

Really wanted to love this place as it has been on my list for a while now. However, I was disappointed. Off my first experience, I'd say this place is overhyped. We ordered the Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches. I was expecting more from the brioche bun - could probably get a similar brioche from the grocery store. Appreciated the amount of bacon but it was way too salty. And now the egg - I was so excited to try the sandwich that I overlooked the eggs. The sandwich comes with an over medium egg however, I wanted scrambled eggs as this is what they're known for. The current menu did not list that you can substitute the egg to be scrambled. The cashier did not mention anything about any substitutions either. Overall, the sandwich was meh and underwhelming. Appreciate that the OJ is freshly made but it was too tart for my taste. The upside to the meal and the star of the show was the truffle hash brown. Pricey for only 6 pieces but honestly these are the best hash browns I have ever ate. Extra crispy and the seasoning is on point - I was more surprised with these than the actual sandwich! Location is very small. They have a handful of tables and they're all jammed right next to each other. No wiggle room. Might get lucky with a table, but it might be better to order takeout and eat at the beach or on the walk to. Plus, parking is difficult. And no bathroom even for paying customers. In all, I was let down but I may give Eggslut one more try. It was just okay.

I didn't get the hype of this place at all, but maybe it was just the location I went to. The sandwiches were OKAY, but nothing great. Seems like they were going for super fluffy eggs, but they turned out quite runny instead. Not a lot of flavor and felt like a quickly made fast food sandwich. The shop by Venice Beach smelled like straight up diapers when I was inside. We had to take our food outside to eat, the smell was so offensive.

Please excuse my dog but this is of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. We got pickup - parking can be tough but you can usually find some a few blocks away. With a name like Eggslut I didn't think this would make top 5 breakfast sandwiches I have ever had in my life but guess what? It did and it was likely top 3. I will be returning next time I am in the area and I am craving this sandwich right now!

This place is the darling of the Food Network and other channels. So, why does this guy say it's a three. It's a noble three? Read on. The outlet at Venice Beach is a order at the counter type place. There is a significant line to order out the door. There are some homeless folks hanging out next to the line which kills the ambience a bit. The servers are nice but it's also a pick up at the Counter place. There is not enough seating so pro tip is to take it to go and walk a block to the beach. The Food. The sandwich is a egg cooked to order, cheese, bacon or sausage if you want. Served on a brioche bun. Ample size. Well executed. Fair price. I would not call a signature dish. I would not drive 30 minutes and pay $20 to park to get it though. If i am hanging around there, i would be in for another visit. Sorry to throw water on this. This is LA, go get some Tacos Al Pastor or head to KTown for unique eats.

Eggslut is always a go to breakfast when I'm in LA. It never disappoints and will always choose this place over the nasty fast food chains. The Venice is a nice location and even though the inside is a bit small, it's very clean and there's a good amount of seating. The service was great and staff was super friendly! The last time I went here we had to give the glass container back but this time around they let us keep it. As for the food, it hit the spot! The slut was hot and fresh and I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. The egg was so fresh that the yolk was super orangey which I usually only find in Japan when I'm eating ramen. If you know, you know! Overall, I love eating here all the time when I'm in the area. Parking is a bit of a challenge but getting here early helps avoid the traffic. I highly recommend giving Eggslut a try!

My husband and I went to Eggslut for a quick bite after our e-bike tour of Venice/Santa Monica beach! We ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese with truffle hashbrowns. Everything came out pretty quick. It was fresh and hot. We enjoyed this quick bite. Unfortunately, we decided to split the meal and later regretted it because it was so good. The inside was small and they didn't offer public restrooms, even for patrons. However, the service was great and they did have places to sit, if you wanted to dine in. Although, most people we saw, were picking up there to-go orders. Whatever you decide to do, be sure to check this place out!

The sandwich was cold?.. and tasted just meh. They also got my order wrong. The name is cute and makes for a cute insta photo but definitely not worth returning for the food itself.

FOOD: SO GOOD - the breakfast sandwiches are so delicious SERVICE + AMBIANCE: Both just okay. Service was so so and the place itself was a little cramped and didn't feel very kept. It's more of a takeout kind of place.

good sandwich. venice beach boardwalk is right behind it so you can take your sandwich and eat it right on the beach. parking in the area is $5-10 in the parking lots or you may be able to find some free spots about 1-2 blocks away.

BOMB. SO BOMB. Can not emphasize enough how fantastic and delicious the Fairfax sandwich was in particular. The eggs were soft scrambled and so creamy and well seasoned, loved the touch of chives and caramelized onions. Do be prepared for a wait though, both in terms of waiting in line to place your order and then when waiting to receive your food. Value especially for the area and quality are great!

We came here while visiting Venice beach due to all the good reviews about this place, and it was okay. We ordered the turkey sausage, egg, and cheese and it was good but definitely on the greasy side and your hands get dirty because of it. It's unfortunate they don't offer their restrooms to customers especially if you're walking around Venice beach and need to clean your hands prior to eating, and even after when your hands touch all the greasiness from the food.

Not bad, but not sure if it lives up to the hype. To be honest, nothing compares to those egg and cheese sandwiches I used to get on the streets of New York City. Orange juice was good!

Greazy ass food zero dam napkins. Look I get the whole we pretend to care about waste vibe but last I checked there's no city ordinance that requires napkins by request only. For something as greasy and sloppy as that y'all need to be providing EXTRA napkins WITHOUT request!!!!

100% lives up to the hype. Walked by the one in Vegas and the line wrapped around the cosmo and I was shocked. Now that I have eaten a Fairfax and a bacon egg and cheese. I can definitely see why people would wait for it. I have thought about it a few times since leaving LA. I will be back and maybe half the reason I come back to LAX is because of eggslut.

Rode bikes over from our hotel in Santa Monica, and rode our Eggslutty breakfast sandos back to eat them on the balcony. Place was clean, ample seating inside, and pretty quick service. The menu is simple and straightforward - do one thing and do it well! I got the Fairfax which is scrambled eggs, chives, chedar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo on brioche - heaven! Normally I like my eggs pretty firm and these were definitely not, but it worked! Hubby had the bacon, egg and cheese - also delish. Couldn't resist a visit based on the name alone, but I for sure would be back for another round with this (Egg)slut.

Eggslut has been on my list for a long time! I tried the Fairfax which was super flavorful - scrambled eggs with chives and cheese and a brioche bun! I will say it was VERY messy. I think I lost 1/3 of the eggs to the bottom of the bag. The fried egg option is definitely easier to handle. Service was fast. Not a lot of space inside (maybe 1-2 small tables and some stools). No outdoor seating. Need to find street parking. If you want to dine in, I'd consider going to another Eggslut location.

A friend recommended this spot when I came to LA for the first time and it did not disappoint. Went with the classic and loved the fluffy bun and perfectly crafted egg, cheese and bacon combo. It was everything you want in a breakfast sandwich bite. Service was fast. I can't think of anything to improve on, I loved it.

10/10 can recommend... my 1st stop after the east coast to west coast early morning flight. A coupe of rules for you... 1. Don't skip leg day. 2. Don't skip breakfast (the most important meal of the day). 3. Don't skip Eggslut! You're welcome!

I am a newly declared egg slut. The sausage egg and cheese was divine. It had a surprise yolk explosion that was heavenly. Parking was stupid but it's worth a walk!

I had heard about Eggslut and wanted to give it a try. It was a quick breakfast stop on our first day in LA. We ordered two Fairfax sandos and a side of hash browns. The caramelized onions are what drew us to choose this sandwich. The eggs were soft and creamy and the bread was fluffy and sweet. My wife and I both felt like there could have been more onions, especially since this sandwich does not have meat. We were hoping for a more substantial amount. The hash browns were a good addition. We grabbed these to go and found a coffee spot around the corner that had a patio. There is a small dining area in the restaurant, but most of the seats were full. I appreciated the freshness of the food - made to order - and it was a worthwhile stop.
