"The Eilert Smith Hotel is nothing if not unique. It’s a converted 1930s warehouse by an architect of the same name, whose early-modernist Functionalist style now stands in stark contrast to the traditional wooden houses and contemporary glass buildings that make up the rest of the cityscape. What makes it a compelling destination, though, isn’t the building so much as what’s inside: 12 quietly stylish rooms, yes, but most importantly,RE-NAA, the only restaurant in all of Norway to be awarded two MICHELIN stars." - Mark Fedeli

❤️❤️❤️ I recently stayed for a few days at that hotel and I absolutely loved it. The building is stunning, with a refined decor that combines charm and modernity, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The comfort of the room was exceptional, making my stay even more enjoyable. The delicious breakfasts served in the room were a real treat to start the day off right. The service was perfect, with an extraordinary welcome. I want to especially thank Hanne, who greatly contributed to making my stay memorable with her attentiveness and kindness. The housekeeping staff were also extremely meticulous and caring, ensuring everything was impeccable. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel and I look forward to returning on my next visit to Stavanger!

Fantastic service. I had a few requests and they were handled quickly and with professionalism. The whole team is always looking for ways to give you what you need. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Wifi works well. The gym is at a nearby hotel. It has a squat rack, cable machine, free weights, treadmill, spin bike, and rower. There is no lobby in the hotel. I would definitely come back, and I would say the customer service at this hotel was one of the best I've experienced.

Eilert Smith Hotel exceeded my expectations with its superb service and attention to detail. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every need was met. One of the highlights for me was the delicious breakfast served in room. The hotel's ability to personalize the experience truly sets it apart, making it a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The best Hilton i have stayed so far. Many thanks to the whole staff, I think "Hanne Granlien" is true gem for the Eilert Smith Hotel. Now i also know what three-Michelin-star means :)

The Eilert Smith Hotel is an absolutely exceptional property in beautiful Stavanger and was the highlight of my recent visit to Scandinavia. Hanne, the front of house supervisor, came out to greet me by name as my taxi pulled out. She and the rest of the Eilert Smith team provided exemplary service before and during my stay including securing a table at RE-NAA, booking a private hiking tour, and ensuring I could take advantage of my late check-out benefit despite the hotel being fully booked on my departure day; no request was an inconvenience. At check-in, Hanne made sure that I understood all of the benefits included with my room such as the complimentary minibar (the champagne was such a treat!) and extra skincare amenities in the bathroom. I booked a deluxe double, but was surprised and delighted to be upgraded to a superior suite with water views! The rooms have intelligent layouts with great Scandinavian design touches. The included breakfast is prepared by the RE-NAA kitchen and is delivered via room service at your preferred time each morning. Every egg dish I tried was yummy and I still dream about the local butter, strawberry jam, and warm sourdough bread. My dinner at RE-NAA was flawless, but there are many nearby restaurants for other meals. I loved the personal code key system for the main entrance and my room; it was nice to move about without a room key. The Eilert Smith is well located for exploring Stavanger and it's lovely to walk along the waterfront. I can't wait to plan another trip to Stavanger to stay at the Eilert Smith again!

Incredible hotel! We stayed several nights at Hotel Eilert Smith and it was one of our favorite hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room was spacious, modern, and gorgeous, with super comfortable beds and a nice wardrobe. The bathroom was clean and well-designed. The daily breakfast delivered to our room was fantastic and robust. But best of all was the service. Every single member of the staff was kind, personable, and available for anything we needed. I hope to come back someday!

First class. Staff are amazing. Rooms have everything. I travel 100+ times a year and by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We are joining a cruise so was just a flying visit but will return just to stop here for longer.

During our recent hiking trip around Norway, we had a delightful stay at Eilert Smith in Stavanger. The hotel was impeccably clean, and from the moment we arrived, Stina greeted us warmly. Stina went above and beyond to help us book restaurants (as well as find other restaurants around Norway) and ensured we felt truly welcome during our stay.
