The Best Fried Chicken in America - Eater

"In a state synonymous with chicken-fried steak, one timeworn Oklahoma saloon has turned the sleepy town of Okarche into a fried chicken rite of passage." - Eater Staff

Eischen's Bar – Okarche, Oklahoma - Gastro Obscura

"It might not look like much, but this unassuming bar is the oldest in Oklahoma. First opened by Peter Eischen in 1896, Eischen’s is still run by Peter’s descendants. Perhaps the bar’s longevity can be attributed to its sticking to the basics:  The menu is literally eight items. They know what they do and do it well, especially their popular fried chicken. Their signature menu item was developed in the 1960s by George “Boog” Eischen, who also worked as a butcher at the IGA grocery store that once stood next door. Originally, the chicken was the prize for the winner of a weekly shuffleboard tournament, but eventually it took a permanent spot on the bar’s menu. Eischen’s has undergone some serious renovations and updates in its long history. In 1993, a grease fire destroyed much of the space. Today, a charred piece of the original, 19th-century bar stands as a relic of its earlier days. But even after these setbacks, Eischen’s managed not just to survive, but to expand as well: When the neighboring IGA closed in 2004, the bar absorbed the space as a separate dining room, complete with the grocery-store floor, aisle markers, and other memorabilia from the market. While the chicken is delicious, the best part about eating at Eischen’s is being transported to another time. Conversations and good times are shared by friends and family as they anxiously await the arrival of the best fried chicken in Oklahoma. Know Before You Go Bring cash and, if you're going for dinner, remember that the kitchen stops taking orders for chicken at 8:45 p.m. No late-night fried chicken orders here." - countrybabidoll, andrea15

What is not to love/like about this place?! It's full of stories and delicious fried chicken, just wow so good! Full of flavor, not dry at all. The fried okra is just as good. I like the simplicity of the menu. The staff working is so friendly and helpful, you can see the enjoyment from working there in the faces of the employees. The bathrooms were clean. Yes, it's an older establishment, and booth seats are a bit worn down especially the one I sat in. Plenty of parking. Don't wait too long to visit and eat this delicious fried chicken! My third time to come in and I know will be back :)

My husband insisted we go here for his birthday lunch and it was great! Very busy but we still received great service and fresh, amazing chicken! We tried a little of everything! Chili/cheese nacho, chicken, okra, frito chili pie and the bbq burger! All great! They only have canned soda, no tea, but it’s a bar so there is alcohol! This was a little over an hour drive from us and it was definitely worth the trip! Be sure to check out the big names who have visited! It’s a neat place!

For those who don’t already know, Eischen’s is the oldest bar in Oklahoma. It was first opened in 1896. If you’ve never been here, don’t come in expecting anything fancy. They don’t even have plates. Your “plate” is a white square of butcher paper. The menu is limited. I mean like really limited. Sides, as most of us think of them, are basically nonexistent. They don’t even serve fries. Also, if you’re looking for “beer from here,” this isn’t your spot. There are no local craft brews on tap. The beer list, much like the menu, is severely limited. There is only a small selection of ho-hum mass market beers available. My wife and I started with some chili cheese nachos. They were exactly like what you would expect to find at a minor league ball game. Tortilla chips topped with lots of fake liquid cheese and canned chili with beans. After experiencing everything I’ve described above, I was at a loss as to why the place was so busy. And then our chicken arrived. If you like crispy, old school fried chicken, this may be the best you’ll ever have. It was fantastic. Oddly, it was served with pickles, onions and wonder bread. I wasn’t really sure what to do with all of that, so I just focused on the chicken and its otherworldly flavor. This place is a must-do if you like fried chicken. If not, you may want to pass.

Google
The famous Eischen's. The whole fried chicken is what you get. It's really good and they sell a lot of it. Can you get fried chicken elsewhere? Sure. Will it be as good as the stuff you can get in Okarche? Well, that's for you to decide. You can count on fresh fried chicken hitting your table. This wasn't sitting under a heat lamp when you came it, they make this stuff to order. This is an old bar that , until relatively recent, did not take credit/debit cards. They do now. Service can be spotty based on how busy it is. Sometimes you just have to wait on drink refills but they will be by to check on you. good place to stop if you're in the area.

Google
Wow! This bar was recommended to us for the best fried chicken & okra. Expectations were high & Eischen's staff did not disappoint. Great food, service & atmosphere. Plus, the beer was pretty good as well. Thanks Eischen's! Awesome!

Google
Over been to this place so many times over the years and it never gets old! They have a small menu but that's what you do - keep it small and do what you do best! The fried chicken is top notch and never had a bad experience. I do like that they are more having you wait to be seated! In years gone by you would have to wait and hover around a table prior to getting seated. Not sure when they started using credit cards but that is now an option. However, we always take cash. The atmosphere is great, old fashioned feel to the place.

If you're seeking an authentic taste of Oklahoma's rich culinary and cultural heritage, look no further than Eischen's Bar. Nestled in the small town of Okarche, this iconic establishment has been serving up mouthwatering fried chicken and ice-cold beverages since 1896, earning it a well-deserved reputation as one of the state's most beloved treasures. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with warm hospitality and the irresistible aroma of freshly fried chicken. The rustic charm of the interior, complete with weathered wooden floors and vintage decor, instantly transports you to a bygone era, evoking a sense of nostalgia and comfort. But it's not just the ambiance that makes Eischen's Bar special – it's the food. The star of the show, without a doubt, is their famous fried chicken. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, each bite is a symphony of flavor that leaves you craving more. Paired with a side of tangy pickles and a basket of soft, pillowy rolls, it's a culinary experience that's as satisfying as it is unforgettable. In addition to their legendary chicken, Eischen's Bar boasts an impressive selection of ice-cold beer and cocktails, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends after a long day. Whether you prefer a classic domestic brew or a handcrafted cocktail, their friendly and knowledgeable staff will ensure that your glass is never empty. What truly sets Eischen's Bar apart, however, is the sense of community that permeates every aspect of the experience. Whether you're a regular patron or a first-time visitor, you're made to feel like family from the moment you walk in. The lively atmosphere, filled with laughter and camaraderie, is infectious, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime. My visit to Eischen's Bar was nothing short of exceptional. From the mouthwatering fried chicken to the welcoming atmosphere, it's a true Oklahoma institution that deserves every bit of its stellar reputation. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this timeless gem – you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Ok, so I finally made it to Eischen's and I was not disappointed. Not just so you'll know it's nun fancy. Mostly Oil Field workers and truck drivers in the dining room, but it was good. Very limited menu but the chicken is the star of the show. I like my fried chicken pretty simple. I'm guessing Eischen's just wets their chicken with water and then lightly in corn starch and into the deep fryer. But it was cooked perfectly and sooo juicy. So lightly seasoned that I didn't pick up on any specific or distracting spices. The chicken flavor was king. I didn't mind it though. Maybe I was just hungry or whatever but I prob ate 5 pieces. I wish they at least had potatoes and gravy but not gonna happen. They know what they do well and that's ALL they do. Congrats Eischen's. You rank in my top 5 for Oklahoma but I gotta eat there a few more times before I crown you the best in Oklahoma.

Yelp
Driving threw Oklahoma and heard this was the oldest bar in OK so of course had to stop! Like most people in Oklahoma our server was really nice, menu is on the napkin dispensers and the reason they can do this is the menu isn't the biggest. Some family I was with opted for the whole fried chicken and it certainly was the entire chicken! My partner helped eat off of it but I had a hard pass because fried chicken isn't my thing....i had a bowl of chili which was pretty good, the rest of the table thought their chicken cornucopia was just "okay" fried okra was very good I should I have just got a large order of it for myself. Don't expect frills because you basically eat off of paper on the tables like a Cape Cod seafood bake. YOU are then given a helping of paper towels.

Yelp
The place was packed! We came on a Saturday evening. First of all don't come hungry! We pre-ordered our food because there was a wait to be seated. And after about 45 min or so we got a table and waited another half an hour for our food. We had to ask when it would be coming out and as soon as we asked it came out right away. So not sure if it really was just done or maybe we got forgotten about it. The food itself was decent. I recommend the Frito pie to be layered, the nachos were good! It was my first time eating fried okra, I'm not a fan, and finally the chicken was good, not the best I have had but it was good. However for the price, I don't think I would come back.

Yelp
This place is definitely an experience, when you walk in it feels like you're going back in time to 1990 which I believe is their goal. It is the oldest bar in Oklahoma, so respect.. but I didn't feel like I was at a bar. I asked for a margarita and the bartender handed me a bottled margarita, then when I asked for a lime she gave me a packet of artificial lime sugar, which I thought was pretty unbelievable, like they kill hundreds of chickens a day but they can't keep fruit in the building? The servers didn't look very happy like there was no charismatic energy from the bartenders whatsoever, we weren't even greeted-only asked what we wanted when we sat down but the service was still good. I felt like the chicken was under seasoned BUT it DID taste like CLEAN and fresh chicken and they give you a whole entire chicken for around $20!! Kinda hard to beat. Bring cash because they'll literally charge you around $0.90 if you don't So the experience that they want you to have, it's executed perfectly. But me, I love living in the modern world and I have no desire to have a dining experience from the 19th century, especially after this.. although I'm very glad I tried this place, I felt like it taught me about Oklahoma but I don't think there will be a second time.

Yelp
It's been years since we have been here. Decided it would be a nice drive and lunch on my bday. Parked in back but you can no longer enter tht way so we had to go around to the front. Walked in and found a table right off. We were greeted by a very nice lady. She explained everything. We ordered drinks. They have canned soda or bottled tea. No frills. Also it's pretty much fried chicken. They do have a few other items but it's basically chicken abt the only side is fried okra. The chicken comes with 8 pieces along with white bread, sweet and dill pickles and onion. No plates just paper to eat on. We also ordered a large okra(small would have been more than enough). Food arrived in abt 10 minutes and was smoking hot. It was just like I remembered it. Crispy with great flavor. Not greasy at all. The okra was on point. Definitely worth the drive especially if you have not been there. We went up thru Guthrie and over. Stay off NW expressway(death trap). The first time we ate there was prob at least 35 yrs ago and the chicken was 9 bucks. Today it was 18 but still not bad. They have started taking credit cards but it does cost a little more. Prices for cash or credit are on the table top menu. Very satisfied.

Yelp
Love the history, and that the focus is on making one really good product! The chicken comes out super hot and delicious

Yelp
Awesome, down to earth bar with straightforward menu (right on wall on way in). Seriously decent pricing (my whole meal plus beers was less than $30). Not a bad way to spend a Friday night. Staff knows how to move and manages customers well. Never felt rushed. Great to see a century plus business still nailing it. Straight forward menu, great staff and awesome location. When passing thru again will be hitting this place up. Great stop for my crew ridding 66.

Yelp
Get your a** in here yall. Nothing more I can say (keeps talking)... Fried chicken? BOMB. The chicken has the crispiest, most flavorful, and savory skin ever. The chicken is made to order and it's JUICY. Come here. I know you're probably like "they don't have a lot of sides" you won't need them. I promise y'all, come here.
google avatar

Nequel B.

Yelp
First time here! I was shocked the only sides they had were fried okra! But it was good, all The good we had was delicious it was a division bonding dinner and the family style Food and environment made it easy to connect with others. The service was great and efficient even for our large party. I recommend trying if you truly enjoy friend chicken, and nachos!

Yelp
Cool place! We picked the perfect day to eat. On a Monday at 4, so plenty of open seating. A few changes since we were here last. They take cards for a fee. On menu they have not only Chicken and Okra but Chili, Frito pie, Nachos. Added Roast Beef and BBQ sandwiches. One thing not changed is you still eat on just paper and most food in boats. Meal comes with pickles and bread. Soda drinks still in cans or tea in bottle. Was hoping changed to fountain drinks! They do give you cup with ice. Floor hasn't changed just as old and yucky as ever. Lol Just enjoy the history this place has as oldest bar around since 1896. We eat chicken at several places but still not as good as Eischens. Good salty flavor all the way through. You get a hot whole chicken cooked when ordered and the two of us eat it all. You will be tempted to order one to take home. They will bring big sheet of foil for take home.....IF....any left. Great little day drive just outside OKC.
google avatar

Briana S.

Yelp
My family and I love Eischens! We come maybe few times a year since we don't live in Okarche. Always quick seating, the chicken is always great. The staff are great too and it's always busy when we go. You can't go wrong with the food here. It's a busy place so it does get loud with families and big groups of people.
google avatar

Denise S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Love the way they serve the food. Their water has a funky taste. Chicken hot and crispy, okra really good
google avatar

Jayson N.

Yelp
Best friend chicken I've had and I'm not even a fan of fried chicken lol could stand to be a bit less greasy but still worth it.

Yelp
First trip to Eischen's won't be my last! It's one of those places stuck in time in the best possible way. You go as much for the atmosphere as you do the food. Luckily, in addition to the fun atmosphere, the food here is fantastic. They don't do much, but what they do, they do well. Lunch for two we split a whole chicken which comes with pickles and white bread and 4 of us split an order of okra. They have a couple of light beer draft options which is a perfect pairing with fried chicken and okra. They have plenty of TVs to catch the game. The staff was friendly and the service was great. Don't miss a pass through the Eischen's store and take a walk through all the dining rooms, the place is so much bigger than it looks. 5/5. I loved my first Eischen's experience. We happen to time it nicely with the St. Louis Cardinal's game and the staff was so kind to turn it on for me. It was the perfect summer afternoon experience. I plan to return again soon. July 2022

Yelp
We always have a great time at Eischen's it's a great memory. Story and today is still owned by the Eischen's which I love. Best chicken they made over 300 chickens the day we came in! I love their chili cheese nachos and table fixxins
google avatar

Jade F.

Yelp
The chicken is so good, always fried to perfection. Atmosphere is awesome, takes you back and you'll never get bored there is always something to read or look at on the walls. Service is usually good! Sometimes slower because they're always so busy but everyone is usually friendly!! 100% recommend to try at least once!
google avatar

Kira C.

Yelp
Great chicken. Totally a local hangout spot. They basically do one thing and they do it well!

Kyleigh P.

Yelp
Went on a Friday evening- got there early enough that we didn't have to wait too long. It did take a while before we got our food. The whole fried chicken was really good- flavor was perfect. I do wish there were more traditional sides like mashed potatoes or Mac and cheese but still great!
google avatar

Paul R.

Yelp
It's always a great time when I can get with my cousins and drink beer, eat and talk s**t! They always have me going to these different places and this is one of my favorites. Between the 4 of us we always order 2 chickens and 2 large nachos. Normally our bill will come up to $60 split 4 ways. That's with the beers also unless someone wanted to get a little faded, that would cost a little more. But anyway, at the end of the day, I love getting with my people when I can.
google avatar

Kiah B.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Would 100% recommend! Get the chili cheese nachos! It's so authentic and delicious!

Brett S.

Yelp
Interesting place filled with history! Make sure to visit during a weekday or earlier on the weekends. We had a fantastic waiter address our table right after we sat down and provided us with suggestions and additional tidbits of history about the restaurant. We will visit again
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
I can't say it's out of this world if you compare it to good ole home made fried chicken Grandma used to make. But there are less and less grandmas left that know how to make it. So if you miss those days, this is solid fried chicken.
google avatar

Terry B.

Yelp
Best fried chicken in Oklahoma! A friend visiting to Oklahoma wanted to go so we made the trip or Okarche! The Fried chicken & okra were done to perfection! Never a disappointment! The menu is small but options are great!
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
THE spot for fried chicken in Oklahoma. If you're looking for comfort food that can satisfy your soul look no further than Eischen's Bar in Okarche! You don't go for the sides or fancy setting, you go for the fried chicken, it's delicious. I suggest getting a large side of okra to split with the table! If you're not a fan of okra then go for the chili cheese nachos or frito pie! I promise you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Jasmine W.

Yelp
Located in Okarche, Oklahoma, Eischen's is the definition of no frill and no fuss. The menu is set with no substitutions. You come in and seat yourself. A roll of butcher paper is laid out for you and you use that as a plate/placemat. The chicken is served hot and fresh when you order. The pickles, onions and white bread are the perfect compliment. We like ordering the nachos as an appetizer. This is the true definition of a dive bar and it's a worth the trip.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Just go. Make the drive and you won't be disappointed. It checks all the boxes. Staff. They are super friendly and all work together. Food It's chicken. Fried chicken. But really good fried chicken. Nachos. Like concession stand nachos but better. Ambiance if you like old dive bar establishments this is your place. You just have to go and see for yourself but I can't see a person not having a good time and liking the food.
google avatar

Nancy R.

Yelp
Eischen's Bar is one of my favorite places for fried chicken and a ice cold pitcher of beer. My other favorite is there chili homemade, yes Chili and darn good homemade chili. Great service and the chicken is Fried per order so you never get some chicken that's been sitting under a heat light. Apparently in the 1880's Eischen's was a Saloon grocery store.
google avatar

Christen B.

Yelp
Definitely worth the drive from OKC. They usually can get you in pretty quick. I like that you can order food before sitting down, which eliminates the wait time. Very smart idea! Just could be a little more cleaner
google avatar

Gina S.

Yelp
Frito Chili Pie is our favorite! The chicken is very crispy! Make sure to check out the gift shop!
google avatar

Scott W.

Yelp
The BEST!! That's it! The BEST! Fun atmosphere with lots of energy, great staff and the best fried chicken we have ever had! Love it! Take cash and go hungry! Get the okra and enjoy all the extras that come with the chicken! LOVE it!!!
google avatar

Pamela W.

Yelp
Eischen's is hands down the best fried chicken in Oklahoma!! Be ready to wait for a table and for your meal, but once everything arrives you won't be disappointed! The service and the waitstaff are wonderful!! The ambiance is also just perfect!!
google avatar

Yelp
You would have to be a true fan of fried chicken to try enjoy this place. I am not a fan of fried chicken. However, my family loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the chili cheese nachos best.

Richelle L.

Yelp
We finally did it! After living in OK for 32 years we finally made it to the World Famous Eischens! It was a nice family outing and good to see small town Oklahoma so no regrets. the chicken was hot and served quickly and courteously. Now the big question is was it worth the hype? The chicken was no better than grocery store fried chicken IF you get it right out of the fryer. The menu is limited. Worth the experience of eating in the Oldest bar in Oklahome but wouldnt say the best fried chicken in Oklahoma. Now that we've experienced it, we've checked it off our list.

Matt C.

Yelp
Best chicken in the world. Coldest beer. Worth the wait. We come here at least once a month
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
Perfectly fried chicken and super friendly people. The atmosphere is great, the addition of the televisions do not take away from the period that the bar was founded. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Vianca P.

Yelp
As seen on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri. Was visiting OKC on business and they took us here for lunch. The oldest bar and has a lot of history. 5th and 6th generations npw run the establishment. Off- street parking is available. Very heavy food, all fried. The menu was minimal, containing only fried chicken, nachos, fried okra and only a few other things. Don't get me wrong, the fried chicken is, in fact, very good! But for you healthy eaters or vegetarians, don't even try it. We had nachos, fried chicken and fried okra. Family style eating, so they provide paper place mats for you to pur your food on and eat. Was an experience but would not try it again.
google avatar

Rex S.

Yelp
Best fried chicken in Oklahoma. And I love their fried okra. So good, every time. So much food, delicious.
google avatar

Trevor H.

Yelp
3.5 Great fried chicken. No frills. Half chicken - no way! Great for sharing. A bit dark inside. Merle & Toby Keith would love it that way. Several selections on draft. Not a place for keto :- )
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
We had lunch yesterday at 1PM, still it was pretty busy. The whole chicken was great as usual. The fried okra was very good and the pickles-onions were a perfect fit for the chicken. We also ordered a cold beer which we always have with the chicken. Because it was a off time the service was excellent. Love this restaurant.
google avatar

Bryan A.

Yelp
Best Fried Chicken in the OKC metro area, Same great food and same great service that they have had for decades!

Cesar P.

Yelp
Grew up in the area and Eischen's has always been the best friend chicken spot in the state. Decades now spent being the best! They are a bar and don't pretend to be any form of fine dining experience. This a true down to earth Oklahoma experience and don't expect any sides other than fried okra and pickles, bread, and onions that come with your chicken. Those sweet pickles are some of my favorite I've ever tried. Eischen's always stays busy but the staff manage to keep the operation running in a timely manner! Don't come here with an attitude, the aunties and grandma's that run the front will not play with you!
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
Still the best fried chicken in Oklahoma. Friends had an anniversary party. The staff was great. It was a pretty large group. They took care of everyone. The food was cooked perfect. Nice place for a party.

Yelp
Tonight we decided to meet some old friends for dinner for our last night in Oklahoma. Eischen's was the agreed spot, so we hopped in the Suburban and made a drive to Okarche, Oklahoma. Eischen's is located in the quaint little city of Okarche. Okarche is a sleepy little town with one stoplight about an hour west of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Eischen's was also featured in Guy Fieri's "Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives." (Google it, I'll wait.) Ok, we good? We walked in and found us a spot to sit in the back room. Although the jukebox rocked "Feels like the First Time," this is not my first time here. Sorry, Foreigner. Eischen's is a bar type setting, but don't let this fool you. This is a no frills restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, and has the best damn fried chicken in Oklahoma. In the words of the Dos Equis guy, "I don't eat a lot of fried chicken. But when I do, it's Eischen's." On the menu was the whole fried chicken, fried okra, nachos, roast beef sandwich, and .. well, honestly I stopped reading after whole fried chicken, so I do not remember what else they had. We ordered two whole fried chickens, fried okra, and various sodas around. Sodas come in a can and with a cup of ice, so don't expect fancy fountain sodas. They seemed a little busier than usual for a Wednesday night, so the chicken took a little longer than usual. This was no biggie, as we enjoyed our friends' company a little longer. In good time, we all devoured our chicken. The chicken, perfect. Perfect crispiness. Perfect seasoning, perfect juiciness. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Need I say more? If heaven has chicken, I'm sure it is from Eischen's. The okra was very good as well. Perfect crisp texture and not one piece mushy. This was the perfect meal to wrap up our visit to Oklahoma. I highly recommend Eischen's. The drive is worth it, and you will not be sorry you came. If fried chicken is your thing. *I also forgot to mention - Eischen's now accepts credit/debit cards. They charge a 3.75% convenience fee, but are no longer "cash only."

Yelp
Chicken is very good but the service was very marginal. The server treated me like I was just being rediculous when I asked for butter for my bread. And I never got any. May be a management issue though...they don't seem to serve butter at all. Just dry bread‍
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Totally cool place!! So glad we took the trip to Okarche! The chicken was delicious, okra was on point and pickles and onions added the twang! My hubby and I almost ate a whole bird! Servers were friendly and just let you enjoy your meal! We will go back!!

Yelp
So I love me some good fried chicken. So much I would drive almost an hour away bc everyone had said this place was good. At first glance, the place is kinda old and in the middle of no where. Lots of parking. A town called Okarche. It's not much a scenic drive but the chicken is worth it. Be sure to eat it in the restaurant or in the car as soon as you get it. It just doesn't taste the same when eating it at home. I've done it all 3 ways. Car, house and restaurant. Best is the restaurant. It fresh and crispy. Inside of the restaurant os very busy... lots going on here. Staff is very attentive and fast. We always order the whole chicken, okras and nachos. Nachos are ok. Just stick w the chicken and okra. This comes w a side of dill and bread and butter pickles, onions and sliced bread. The chicken is perfect and juicy everytime we get it. I love how it's simple and not overly done w seasonings. If you ever want a long drive for some good chicken, give them a try. I washed mine down w am iced cold Coke w extra ice.

Yelp
OMG. BEST CHICKEN EVER!!! Worth the drive and the wait. You have a small menu and they know how to perfect it! Just order the Chicken, that's what you come for anyway!. It is fresh, crispy, and not greasy, They serve it with 2 types of pickles raw onions, and white bread! You eat it on a sheet of wax paper and you are good to go. Get yourself a side of Okra and some Chil Frito Pie and you are in heaven. Don't worry about being messy here because you need to get your fingers dirty. Don't forget to ask for Honey and hot sauce if you like that. You cannot go wrong. I've been here 3 times and have loved it every single time! I come from California and I will say it's better than Roscoes Chicken. You get the whole bird and then take it home and if you have an air frier heat those bad boys up and they are good as new!

Yelp
An Oklahoma must-try. This place is just 22 mins from our house, and it was worth the drive! Not many sauce options, but this chicken needed no sauce. Give them a few extra minutes to fry the chicken fresh to order-- in the meantime, we snacked on fried okra and chili cheese nachos. The chili cheese nachos aren't anything special (still good!) but the okra was fantastic. When we go back, we'll stick to okra and chicken because it's A LOT of food.

Yelp
Best fried chicken and even better customer service. Love the history behind the bar and love that it's still in the family.
