I've been going to Ejen ever since they opened their first little stall in Industry City. They've since upgraded to a storefront down the hall, and with that the prices have increased as well, but the owners are adorable and very friendly so I don't mind giving them my money as much. Most importantly, their cooking rules the entire food hall! Their food is easily the best thing on the Industry City campus.
My favorite dish to get is the bulgogi plate. The beef and the pork versions are ridiculuosly tender, and they are marinated thoroughly. The sauce is delicious, and there's plenty of it to go with your rice. They usually have either kimchi or radishes as a banchan to go with it, and it makes the meal complete. The portion size for the meat is good, and it's larger than what it used to be when they had their stall. My biggest complaint used to be that their food is so tasty that I always wanted more after I was done, but now I get pleasantly full and satisfied.
I got a sample of the creamy chicken soup today, and it was flavorful and way better than anything Campbell's ever put out. If I were sick, I'd definitely think that Ejen's chicken soup would make me feel better!
Also, bonus points that they serve their to go portions in compostable containers, but IC is so hipster that of course they would based on the usual clientele. I'm sure some millenial would take away a star from them if they didn't, but now they don't have an excuse to not give them 5 stars!
