"The El Bagel location on Virginia Street and Grand Ave is the best thing to happen in the Grove since those bed races in the ‘80s. It’s slightly smaller than the one on Biscayne—but still makes the best bagels in Miami. There's nowhere to eat inside, but you can always walk over to Peacock Park and let the salty breeze wash over you and your everything bagel. This location has a line out the door (and down the block) on weekends. You can place an order online in advance—but only for unadorned bagels and sides of schmear. If you want a bagel sandwich (and you do) get there early and plan accordingly." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"There’s a good reason these bagels had a strong, loyal following long before a brick-and-mortar shop existed. Sampling fan favorites like the Lox Supreme, featuring locally smoked lox, cream cheese, cucumber, dill, pickled onion, tomato, and capers, or the unique King Guava (guava marmalade, plain cream cheese, potato stix, and fried egg) has many making this a breakfast tradition." - Eater Staff

"These bagels have a loyal local following—and for good reason. Known for its hand-rolled, seed-coated bagels, this spot is open daily (except Tuesday) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu includes a range of shmears, smoked fish, sandwiches, like the King Guava with guava, cream cheese, fried egg, and potato sticks, and the Lox Supreme with lox and all the fixings." - Olee Fowler
