El Chamo Criollo Food Truck

Today El Chamo Criollo visited my office park for our weekly food truck day. Once I saw they had arepas I new I was ordering. But then I read the rest of the menu and was intrigued by the cachapas. When I got to the truck the very nice young lady working the window greeted me. I asked her what the difference was between the arepas and the cachapas, she explained and said she preferred the cachapas. I thought Ok, I'll try something new. OMG, this is so good. I got it with pork and the pork on it's own is delicious, but the flavors of the pork, cheese and cachapa all together, soooo good. I highly recommend this truck for the delicious food and outstanding service. Thank you!!

I'm not one to leave reviews good or bad, but this truck deserves a shout out! The food was well prepared, plentiful and downright tasty. Most importantly, the pork and beef (two separate dishes) was cooked just right and had all of the fat trimmed out. Too often when you get your meal of pork or beef, it includes way too much fat and gristle. It was seasoned well and not salty at all. Many chefs add way to much salt in the name of flavor. Loved the plantains! Try them. You won't be disappointed.

Booked this truck in January of 2025 for May 2025 had confirmation for May 1st date once more on April 8th, and today on April 29th I got this message from the "I’m very sorry, I have to cancel or change the date. I have a catering service." I did my part and booked in advance but to be canceled on 2 days before and being told you took a catering service over our booked dinner date since January is very wrong. Steer clear if you are looking to book this truck as they will take larger events.

Hands down, the La Pelua with their spicy sauce was delicious! I took the owner's recommendation, and I couldn't be happier. I'd buy a pint of their sauce if it was available. It was the perfect flavor combination. I'm looking forward to them visiting again!

First time ordering food from the El Chamo Criollo Food Truck on 1-21-2025 at the Flagler Crossing Drive community complex. Very organized service. Received our food within a few minutes. Really nice couple operating the food truck. The food was hot, really good, and will purchase their foods again. Would, without question, recommend this food truck service to others.

The food was amazing! Nothing beats a fresh arepa with a delicious filling. Tried the pabellon as well, and it was delicious. The plantains were cooked perfectly with lightly crispy edges. Hope I run across this food truck again soon, because I'll change dinner plans just to eat there.

I had the bowl with grilled pork and it was delicious. Enough said, hope they come back to Hurston Apartments.

I am an apartment manager and we had the pleasure of having these guys at our property. SO DELICIOUS!!!!!! I have never had Venezuelan food before, but this was an amazing first experience. I got 3 types of Arepas, chicken, pork and steak. All delicious but the steak was my fave! Also got a shredded beef cachapa. OMG AMAZING!!!! I will drive where to find there next stop that is how delicious everything was!!! Thank you El Chamo Criollo for visiting our property at Belle Rive Club you did not disappoint ❤️❤️❤️❤️
