Google
Much welcomed to find this Gem in a gas station of all places. The quesabirria tacos with goat(the real way). and consume were amazing. I'm so glad I found them. I do feel they are the best in town. Will be back.

Initially I was not going to try this place because it's...in a gas station. I'm SO glad I listened to people who've been there. This food is wonderful. I ordered for pickup and everything was ready on time and piping hot. The portions are generous and the flavors are out of this world. Don't sleep on this place!

Birria tacos are FAT and FILLED with MEAT!!! Sooooo DELICIOUS. I arrived to the place and it’s inside the gas station. Open at 10 and I ordered right away. Waited for about 10-15 minutes and thinking to myself I REALLY hope these are good. WELL it didn’t DISAPPOINT at all. For 4.50 for beef or 5.00 for goat, I choose the Beef 4 of them. OMG Fresh off the grill hot and ready to be cooled by my breathe. The meat was tender and the tacos were a HUGE portion. The tacos didn’t feel or taste like they were oily and the presentation was beautiful. The staff wore mask and gloves.

My chips were stale, they had no jalapeños , the agua horchata is powder mix and they only had large available. The two ladies were trying to flirt inappropriate with my husband and then talked bad about another women who came in to buy food. Asked about other food but they didn’t have bread for tortas either. Won’t return just because of the stale chips.

If restaurants dated this would be a reverse catfish. Hung over from last night, we stumbled on this place. I was hopping for a nice restaurant, but when I pulled up I noticed it was a gas station. At first I was skeptical and was not down to eat at a gasstation. Low key nasty. But I went in and ordered queso taco conbirria and consome. The food was pricy but amazing! I know birria and this place has the best birria tacos and consome hand down. I'm glad I stumbled in here.

Google
This place feeds my soul! I go out of my way to come here! It's worth the drive and you get delicious, generous portions for what you pay for!! They're worthy of your business.

Google
Great authentic tacos. Hard to find crispy grilled corn tortilla - perfect blend of crispy and chewy. Be sure to get the consume dip - amazing. The people are extremely friendly and welcoming. They're working hard to carry on a tradition after the original folks ended. Best of ll it's in a gas station! No need to dress up. BEST TACOS AROUND!

Google
Birria tacos are having their moment right now and El Cora Birria is the real deal. The tacos are amazing but so are the mulitas. This was my first visit but I'll definitely be back. Get the consomé for the full experience. Modestly sharing space in a gas station, these ladies never stopped moving taking and filling orders for the walk-in customers as well a steady stream of (large) to go orders. I arrived at noon on a Saturday and had about a 25 minute wait for my food.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best birria I've had in a while, or in the whole Sacramento area. The owner was very friendly and very proud of his work. I see why too! The beef birria tacos were amazing, something I recommend to anyone wanting to eat good birria. I will be coming here again and I recommend all of you to try this place out!

Yelp
Always wanted to stop here for the birria tacos. Finally did and.... good but not worth the price. Not a whole lot of beef. Nice and crispy tho. But $4.50 plus $4.50 for consommé? No. Bad value. I won't be returning.

Yelp
Located way out there on Fruitridge in a gas station. I forgot to look at the name of the gas station. I just used my gps to get us there. There are a few parking spots on the side. We got the last spot. We were welcomed upon entry. Very tasty tacos and horchata was good. We got the birra cheese tacos. They didn't have as much cheese as I expected. I thought they'd have a cheese skirt. They had some melt cheese. The tacos were crispy and flavorful. They came with a red and green salsa. I tried the red, tomato based salsa and it was good. Due to the drive I doubt I'll be back, but if I lived local this would be our taqueria, according to my husband. I'm glad we ventured out and tried it as it's gotten so many good reviews. I first hear about it in my newsfeed.

Yelp
HIDDEN GEM This little birria place is hidden inside and random gas station but once you walk in you can smell you're in the right spot. We got 2 beef birria burritos for under 20$ and they were HUGE! It's the most worth it burrito I've ever gotten. We gone back multiple times just for that. It fills you up for most the day, is crazy flavorful especially with the salsas and doesn't break the wallet what more could u want? They ladies are very kind and quick with orders. Definitely support this local business !

Yelp
Very unprofessional rude It was my first time in there and it will certainly be my last!!

Yelp
We came across this place by word to mouth and decided to try it. Was a little hesitant since it is located inside a gas station. There's not a lot of parking spaces but you can park on the street. There's sitting inside the gas station and a patio area too. My husband and I both had the queso birria tacos, I liked that is made to order, it was good, you do have to add the consume separately and is an extra charge. My daughter had three street tacos that came with cilantro and onion, they were good. My other child order a beef burrito and it was pretty big and tasty. All of our food was made to order which made it all so fresh.

Yelp
Best Consume in Sacramento. The tacos were made fresh and the salsa was great. I recommend verde salsa

Yelp
My son just turned 18 and requested Birraia so I took him here. Two ladies cooking behind the counter, he looked at me and said mom you know its going to be good so he ordered and god it smelled so good, pretty isy little spot. My son got his order and we walked back out to the car, popped the trunk and he began to eat (more like devour) his food. 5 outta 5 stars. Great service. Fast. Great food.

Yelp
I've heard a lot of great things about this gas station taco place, but haven't been able to try it out until today. Taste-wise, it definitely lives up to the hype... but make sure you order ahead via phone or you'll be stuck with a 20-30 min wait. I ordered one of each Queso Taco to try. The cheese really adds depth and was worth the extra charge. Between the Beef and Goat options, they both taste very similar. The only distinction is that goat meat tastes a lot softer and is nicer to eat. Flavor-wise, it's hard to tell a difference. Traditionally Birria tacos come with Consome (soup) to dip your tacos in. Is this worth the extra $5 splurge for a small bowl? .... I would say no. There is little to no meat, and it doesn't change the flavor profile enough for it to be worth it for me. When I think of tacos... I think of a quick meal. That said, I was really thrown off by the long wait time at this taco spot. I think maybe she forgot my order? Regardless, if you don't mind the wait, then I would say go for it!

Yelp
WHY WE WENT HERE: - lunch with the SO THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located at the Choice Gas Station off Fruitridge Rd and 79th St - limited gas station parking THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - gas station mini mart is about 3/4 of the space - El Cora Birria is on the left hand side of the mini mart and it about 1/4 of the space (with some cramped seating for patrons) THE MENU: - taco dorado - consome - taco suave - quesadilla - quesa taco - burrito - mulita - plates WHAT WE ORDERED: - tacos dorados (with res/beef + chivo/goat) - consome (with res/beef) THE TASTE: - I personally loved the chivo/goat taco dorado over the res/beef taco dorado - the consome was hearty and had a good amount of res/beef in it; was a bit watery though CUSTOMER SERVICE: - welcoming

Yelp
A very popular stop. There was a line and a little wait so it's definitely not a fast food option. We tried a Taco Dorado Chivo with and without cheese. My husband favorite was with cheese and mine was without. The tacos had good flavor and generous portions of meat. The eating area was very clean. The restaurant is actually inside a gas station in a little rough neighborhood. We ate outside and there was a strong stench of MJ in the air. Very popular restaurant. I appreciate the generous ports of meat in each taco. They are definitely a local favorite.

Yelp
Naturally brewed Jamaica, fresh tasting green and red salsa, juicy limes, and additional spicy oil provided for an added kick with your tacos. What more could you ask for! A true hole in the wall restaurant with 5 star quality ingredients. Service was great, cooks friendly and helpful. They have banda and corridos keeping you encased in this family function feel. It was delicious. I'll be back for more. My only strife; is there open bottle policy. If you'd like to take a drink and tacos to-go it's there. Personally I like a beer with my tacos. Total $17 and some change Cheers

Yelp
I've waited far to long to leave a review for El Cora Birria. Why? Only because the power of my words can not match the flavors of this birrieria. Everything is perfect about El Cora; the vibe, the location, the patrons, the singing chefs and of course the tacos and consommé! I want to write more but these tacos can speak for themselves!

Yelp
Located inside the gas station store, this spot is serving up some legit birria tacos! My girlfriend and I were craving some birria tacos and we decided to give this spot a try. We thought we were at the wrong spot when the map took us to a gas station but when we walked in, lone behold there is a food stall in the back of the store. We decided to get a few different tacos and other things: - beef quesa taco: lots of really rich and meaty shredded meat stuffed in a taco. Cheese was not strong so it complimented well. - goat quesa taco: same as the beef one and I couldn't really tell the difference. Wasnt gamey. - beef taco dorado: wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, but it was stuffed with a lot of meat - beef consume: broth is really rich and comes with a good amount of meat (which is used in the tacos). Used this to dip the tacos in and was in flavortown - horchata: cinnamony and Just the right amount of sweetness. Goes well when the tacos get too savory Overall, don't miss this spot when you are in the area! You are only going to need 2 or 3 tacos to get full because they are so filling. If you are looking for some birria tacos in the most randomest place, this is the place to go!

Yelp
Food is phenomenal, the service is always amazing!! It is located in the Choice Gas Station, parking is a bit limited but worth it. The Nacho's and Tortas are always first to go so if you want one of those, better show up early before they sell out! Street tacos are priced fair in comparison to what everyone else charges.

Yelp
Wow never would I have thought the best Birria Tacos would be found in a random gas station. Hands down the best Birria tacos I've ever had. I was brought to this place with suspicion as I pulled up into their semi run down parking lot. Once I went inside, it looks like your typical gas station grocery store but in the back there was a huge crowd of people in line for tacos! I ordered: 1. 3 Beef Birria Taco: INCREDIBLE! Perfect amount of cheese and they give generous amount of sauce to dip the taco into. The sauce itself has bits of beat in it which is like a bonus. The flavor of the meat is amazing. So flavorful and juicy. Highly recommend. It's also really reasonably priced at ~$3.40. 2. 1 Lamb Birria Taco: I also thought this was amazing. I think the beef was slightly better because it was a juicy but the lamb was also a very close second. I probably would get one of each again if I came back. Not too gamey tasting but has a hint which I like. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, don't judge a book by it's cover. Although, the best food does come from hole in the wall locations. This is a classic example of that. Hands down best I've ever had and definitely should try if you're in down. *Just reading some other reviews, I do agree that the employees do not follow the mask guidelines. Only the cashier is wearing a mask while none of the cooks or other employees preparing the food wore a mask. It didn't bother me too much since the food is completely cooked but if it does bother you, just be warned and prepared as it doesn't seem like they're going to change their habits despite complaints.

Yelp
A former coworker told me about this place. As I was pondering where to go for my first meal of the day, and since it was after noon, I decided to check this place out for the first time. I prefer crispy tacos because that's how I had them growing up I'm SoCal in the 50s and 60s. So I was stoked when I saw the photos of the tacos. They looked big and crispy. As others have reported, this a gas station restaurant at the opposite end of the gas station/convenience store operation and checkout counter. It has a real mom and pop vibe. There are about 3-4 tables available for eating inside. Since it was 112 outside, I opted for staying inside. Even though there was no central air, it was definitely cooler than outside. The cooks appeared to be family members. The lady who waited on me was friendly and helpful. I ordered 2 goat, crispy, birria style tacos with cheese; a small order of beans; a small goat consomé and a hibiscus drink. This cost $20.03. I looked for a seat and all tables had someone at them. Their were 2 tables in front of the counter that had been pushed together. I asked if I might sit at the table and he agreed. While waiting, we shared pleasant conversation. He said that he was a regular there and that the food was really good. They were very busy with take out orders and after 20 minutes, my food was ready. It came in 3 sets of packaging, which I considered a bit much because I was dining in. Three separate plastic bags: 1 for the beans, napkin and spoon; a second for the consomé; a 3rd for the styrofoam box holding the tacos. Owners, maybe you could cut costs for those eating in. IJS. The food itself was delicious. The tacos were crispy, as I like them, and I really enjoyed them. I thought they had forgotten the cheese because I didn't see any. However, once I took a bite, I found out where it was! It was slathered between the two crispy tortillas - kinda like a grilled cheese sandwich tacos. My friend told me to get the consomé so that I could dip the taco in it. This is what I did and it was a good touch. I probably won't order the consomé again because I think while it added a bit of extra flavor it was not enough to offset the $5 cost. The tacos alone were very good. A couple of salsas accompanied the tacos - 1 green and 1 red. I guess I'm a wimp because both were too spicy for me. But again, the tacos stood alone on flavor, without any additions but the sliced radishes that accompanied them. As I was eating, the young man so had been talking to was about to leave and asked if he could buy my meal. I thanked him and politely refused but he said that talking to me reminded him of his grandmother who died 7 years earlier and that if I had been his grandmother, he would have bought her lunch. After that, how could I refuse. I shall pay it forward! This was the last thing I expected when I walked into this place. I highly recommend you try this place f you're on the mood for tacos that are just a cut above the regular tacos.

Yelp
I finally had my first birria taco experience and now I understand the hype! The meat was super tender and the consomé was flavorful! It is really messy to eat though, which was expected. I liked the crispy taco more than the soft. I was not a fan of anything else beside the food itself. It's located in a gas station with limited parking. The music was BLASTING so I had to YELL to order. After ordering, it took 45 minutes to get 3 tacos. They had a lot of big phone orders, but I feel like they could've expedited the customers that were actually there and waiting. The workers didn't seem to have any sense of urgency. Overall, the food was tasty but I would try the other birria options in Sac before returning.

Yelp
El Cora Birria is one of those hidden gems you find that completely changes the way you feel about the food the restaurant serves in the best way possible. Obviously their specialty is Birria tacos, they're so good you could eat them for breakfast, lunch & dinner but they also have a wide verity to choose from so don't miss out! Come get the best tacos in town! The place is so good I would refund anyone who doesn't like it and I just found this place YESTERDAY! The food, staff, environment is all 10/10, It's now my go to spot when in the area or anytime I'm craving Mexican.

Yelp
Queso birria tacos seem to be all the rage lately and this place did not disappoint. The birria was nicely shredded so you were able to get a clean bite and just the right amount of cheese. The tortilla was crisp to perfection so it didn't instantly fall apart when you dip it in the consume. And the consume, it was loaded with onion, cilantro and bits of meat. You could also really taste the spices in the consume as well, I was picking up some cinnamon. These aren't your normal street tacos so don't expect to pay $1.50 each but more close to $4-5 each. They close pretty early too which is bummer, so make sure to get your craving in early!
google avatar

Becky M.

Yelp
We tried this spot bc it was #1 when you look up birria in sac and it did not disappoint! The broth was so flavorful and had so much yumminess in it. We've gone some places before that barely had anything in the consome. Expect there to be a good amount of waiting time if you go. The parking lot is usually full cars but no one's getting gas, lol! My only suggestion is to keep it consistent. The second time we went, it wasn't as good/flavorful. But third time was a charm again. We don't live in CA anymore and we still think about this place. Bonus: The burritos are pretty big. And unless you split it with some else, you're gonna have a food baby.

Yelp
When I think of 2020, I think of pandemic and quesabirria tacos. Not sure how it happened, but birria was shoved to the forefront of food trends this year. El Cora is located inside a gas station. Enough said. You know when a taqueria is located inside a market or gas station, it's some good eats. For safety, they have plastic barriers put up. You order, pay and wait the agonizing, what seems like forever wait. The wait is long but totally worth it, as you watch the ladies cook up all that deliciousness. I've tried birria tacos in SoCal and they were nowhere compared to these. Most birria are a greasy, soppy, soft mess. The quesabirria here is cooked low and slow, so they came out crispy and stayed crispy. If they can survive repeated dips into the consomé de chivo, I think I can survive this pandemic. That consomé! It has so much flavor and hunks of meat, you'd think you got a side of soup. They also gave us a couple of different salsas in the bag that were perfecto - each unique in flavor and spice level; the red salsa was spicy enough to make your nose run, but not worry about your butthole burning later. The tomatillo salsa was mild, chunky, and a little salty. Because of the space restrictions, this is more of an order and go type of establishment. There are about two tables outside the gas station to eat at, but honestly, who wants to smell all that gas and car exhaust while eating. Take it to the brewery down the street. I have yet to try the other places in Sac for birria tacos, but when you find something this good, how can I venture out? My stomach is calling for more El Cora.

Yelp
Super Delicious Quesabirrias they stuff them with a lot of meat and cheese the green salsa is amazing! The service is great! Yummy place!

Yelp
Located at a Gas Station inside of the Connivance Store you will find El Cora Birria set up in the back. No Flashing signs out front you just gotta KNOW this is your stop for great Birria Res Beef /Chivo Goat Tacos , Burritos , Quesadillas and Consome to dip. Currently due to COVID19 they still do operate check in daily hours and closed on Mondays . They have couple of tables out front each seats 4 with social distancing between tables. Get there Early cause they will have a line. On a sunday I was there at 10am opening and waited 40mins for my order. Staff very friendly and after you place your order take your ticket outside and wait until they bring it out. Our order was warm and very tasty. I do recommend this spot to try out.

Yelp
I have five words for you that will change your life... This is worth the drive. El Cora Birria, not only is a hidden treasure, but it is a treasure found in a less then obvious place... Most people would never consider purchasing food from a gas station. Do not let the fact that this amazing place is found inside a gas station convenience store. Definitely file this under great gas station food finds. Their menu is fairly simple, and yet, some of the best tacos you will find anywhere. A special thanks to my friend, and fellow Yelper Michelle M!! This place is definitely a gold mine. We are constantly in search of the best tacos, and it's a good thing this place is not around the corner from where I live, because we definitely would be there all the time. We ordered four crispy tacos with cheese. One taco was goat meat, and the others were beef. We also ordered a side of consommé for the beef tacos. The consommé is delicious, but definitely not needed. I'm personally not a fan of anything goat, but this taco... it is a total game changer. Absolutely delicious! The beef tacos are heaven. The tacos have double shells because they are so full of juicy delicious meat and cheese that one shell absolutely cannot hold it all. The meat is incredibly flavorful, and each bite will leave you wanting more. Seriously, these are a must try. I truly have not found anything like this in and around the Sacramento region. My pictures do not do justice to these amazing tacos. The crispy tacos with cheese for beef are $3.00 each, and the goat is $3.50 each. So on top of them being mind blowing delicious, these are truly cheap good eats. Their hours currently vary, so definitely give them a call if you plan on heading over. The gas station is super small and people seem to just park wherever they want. They will take pre-orders over the phone, but their preference is for you to come in, and order directly at the counter. This is worth the drive.

Yelp
Sketchy lil' spot in a gas station, but those are the best TBH! Tried both the beef and goat birria tacos. So delicious! They have a few small tables in front protected by an iron rod fence and a couple bigger tables inside. They played wonderful cumbias and the customer service was excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
PHENOMENAL BIRRIA TACOS! Omg!! I was confused too when I realized this place was in a gas station, but listen they can easily have a huge restaurant. The queso taco has so much cheesy goodness mixed with tender beef and the crunch is perfect. Paired with the consume, just WOW. So glad I live super close because I've heard from many people in Sac this place is the best. The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars vs 5 is because all the staff were not wearing masks. Since there is still a mask ordinance in Sacramento, this turned me off a tiny bit but not enough to never return. I just hope they see this and think about implementing the ordinance for their workers since our area has had some of the highest Covid rates in Sac.

Teana R.

Yelp
Their birra tacos are to die for every time they are amazing i haven't found a better birra taco place i would recommend this place absolutely they are crunchy the consume is so good we eat it by it self when we are out of tacos a bit pricy now but thats with the times now and customer service the ladies are so nice every time we go

Megan F.

Yelp
You know it's gonna be good when the taco spot is in a gas station. I've eaten here a handful of times now and it always hits the spot. The consume is ‍ chefs kiss.

Donita D.

Yelp
Tasty basic Mexican food. Nice people. Convenient location. Decently priced. My husband and I each got a burrito (Al pastor and vegetarian), plus a quesadilla for the grands.
google avatar

Tracy R.

Yelp
I will recommend THIS BUSINESS any day....they're patient with their customers, smiles from the staff, family friendly, they are NOT stingy with their meat, chicken, beef, or lamb, all the food is fresh and DELICIOUS. The environment is clean and they have about 6 or 7 tables(don't focus on the gas station, walk inside and ORDER your food) anyhoo, I don't want to talk too much about how small it is, however, the FOOD, you HAVE to try everything.......YUMMY!
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
2nd time I've been here and omg it's so good, went off by the reviews and they were right, I've had their consume, goat quesadilla and the Quesa tacos and all so delicious! I'm definitely making this my birria spot from now on! Love the music they play too, staff is always friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Formerly known as don chuy birria , this spot has a new name now el cora birria but still the same food!! I tried the quesatacos which were huge, super juicy and crunchy!!dip them in the consome and it is bombbbb!!! I got full off 2 tacos!!! Not much seating but highly recommend that you eat your tacos there fresh so it doesn't get soggy. The workers were all super chill and sweet even though the lady that took our order didn't speak much English! They only accept cash btw!
google avatar

Marlia H.

Yelp
I haven't had a chance to try Birria from Mexico yet, but El Cora Birria tastes as authentic as I can imagine! The quesa tacos were so crispy and the meat is overflowing with flavor! I think it was my favorite meal during my visit to Folsom/Sacramento area! It's inside of a gas station, so it's definitely a hole in the wall gem! I went back a grabbed 3 more quesa tacos before I got on my flight back to Florida! Highly recommend!!

Jason D.

Yelp
This place was amazing for the past year or 2 so I went back today. I usually just get goat but decided to mix it up and tried the beef today. The beef one was super mushy and then my first bite into the goat I felt something hard. Well it was a bone, had to destroy the rest of the taco to search for more and pulled out a good 5 pieces of bone from the meat!! Killed my appetite and changed my mind about this place!! Choking hazard waiting to happen!
google avatar

Marvin G.

Yelp
I tried a few Birria Tacos in Sac and this place hands down takes the throne. And they sell REAL BIRRIA with CHIVO (Goat meat). Had both beef and goat and they were equally amazing. Blows my mind this place is at a gas station. LOL!!!! I am recommending all birria fanatics here! BEWARE, they play loud music here!.
google avatar

Marco V.

Yelp
Very consistent. Flavor. Presentation. Attention to ratios. Consomé is warm. Employees are efficient and nice. 3rd time here. If you're wondering what to try the first time, you can never go wrong with the crunchy (dorado) tacos de Res (beef) with a side of consomé. Price wise: Worth the price imo given they're birria style is from Tijuana. I assume the process is extensive and comes with a lot of love and care. 5 stars always.

Yelp

Yelp
This review represents my takeout experience at El Cora Birria during COVID-19. My rating is mostly based on the safety and sanitary precautions that food establishments must follow due to the pandemic. The employees here do not follow COVID mask guidelines. The cook was wearing her mask below her nose the entire time we were there. Other employees were taking their masks on and off and wearing it below the nose and mouth while handling food. Seeing this, I was very hesitant to eat our food and I do not recommend El Cora to others if you're concerned at all about COVID-19. My friend and I ordered a total of 6 quesa birria tacos and 2 medium consommés. While the birria was one of the best and crunchiest I've had, we waited for an hour for our order to be ready. The longer we waited the more times we saw the staff take their masks on and off which only increased our concern about the food and sanitary practices. Although the food was delicious, I will not be back until the pandemic is over.

Yelp
The food here is great. We ordered 5 birria tacos (2 goats and 3 beefs) and each bite had so much flavor and meat. They also provided multiple cups of sauce and plenty of garnishes. Knocking down two stars for their COVID protocol. They do not enforce masks and the workers aren't really wearing it correctly the whole time either. Anyone can come in without a mask and they will still serve them, so keep that in mind if you think that is important. The customers try to social distance themselves mostly so that is good, but the responsibility of safe COVID practices should go both ways - customers and the business. Wait time: We placed our order in store on a Sunday at 1:00pm and got our food an hour later at 2:00pm. It was a very busy lunch and with the short amount of staff they have, you do need to be patient with the wait. Parking: Like other reviews had mentioned, there is no designated parking lot since the restaurant is located in the gas station. People would either park at the pumps or on the side (residential area or the tire air pump section). Overall, the food is great and can be worth the wait. I would come again post-COVID times.

Yelp
El Cora Birra is a legit taco place inside a gas station. Definitely not food you would expect from a gas station! Can't really go wrong with anything from here but I would go with the tacos. Only complaint is that the wait can take awhile so tip is to call in your order before showing up. There's almost always a line an hour before they close so call in your order.

Yelp
I had previously reviewed this once hidden gem, before they changed their name, and before the entire Sacramento area discovered their awesomeness. My dad and I revisited El Cora Birria for some delicious tacos on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, because word has gotten out, we waited over an hour for our tacos. Note to self - next time order through DoorDash or Uber eats and come pick them up when they are ready. The extraordinary wait time aside, the tacos are still as delicious as they were before. Due to COVID-19, they had to raise their prices but I am happy to support a small local business especially during these difficult times. You order inside the gas station and they have you wait outside until your order is ready. They have a few socially distance tables located outside of the gas station.

Yelp
Quesa birria was the mission. Mission: accomplished. Nay, Mission: annihilated. Mission: devoured. Mission: calling for repetition at least once a week moving forward, because I'll have withdrawals if I don't. These might very well be the best tacos I've ever had in my life. It's mentioned in the other reviews, but El Cora is located inside the gas station, and might be easy to miss if you're driving too fast, so be aware. It's to the left when you enter. Plan ahead for a 15-20 minute wait-- and don't you dare complain about it, because it is absolutely worth it. The birria's are made to order and are slow cooked to perfection. Don't believe me? Watch for yourself. They hide nothing. You can see your order cooking from your side of the counter. I ordered 2 beef and 2 goat quesa birria's. Both were absolutely, and incredibly delicious but I did prefer the beef. I ordered a medium side of the consume. Did I need that much to dip the 4 tacos into? No. Did I eat the rest of it afterward as if it were the most glorious soup I've ever tasted? YES. There are three salsas you can get to enjoy. I would describe them as mild (green,) medium and hot. All are tasty, but I couldn't believe how good the medium and hot were. I'd buy them by the bottle.

Yelp
The food we got was awful. We ordered consume, beef quesadilla, and a beef burrito. Every single item was just oily, and not good. If your last favorite part of Mexican food is the fresh vegetables and herbs, then this place is for you. Everything tasted so greasy, and barely flavorful. I do admit there were radishes on the side, but everything could have benefited from having some fresh veggies, and some acidity. I couldn't really eat any of the things we ordered, neither did my husband. We ended up throwing it all away.

Yelp
El Corra Birria's unique location inside a gas station adds to its charm. Despite being in an unconventional setting, the quesa taco birria maintains its exceptional taste. The convenience of grabbing such a delectable treat while fueling up makes it a hidden gem worth discovering. A flavorful delight in an unexpected place! The staff are also very nice and accommodating.

Yelp
LISTEN We ordered ten birria tacos and no flavor the consome tastes like water, the tacos tasted like oil with nothing else. I don't understand the hype in these reviews if you have no standards THIS is the place for you. Disgrace to tijuana as a tijuana man born and raised. save your money. we wish we could have turned back time.

Yelp
So I was hungry and yelped and saw Birria tacos. The location was at a gas station with a restaurant inside. It was super delicious and I enjoyed every bite!!! Never underestimate a gas station serving food. Delish!!!
