I ordered a to go meal. Right off the bat it was 17 dollars for 4 tacos with a side of rice and beans. The rice and beans lacked flavor, and the beans were not standard beans you would expect from a Mexican restraunt. The meat was too fatty and lacked flavor as well, there was only one tortilla for the street style taco and the tortilla tasted rather raw instead of cooked, liked it wasn’t seared with enough oil or for long enough. Additionally, the salsa verde and red salsa that came with the tacos were both flavorless and not spicy enough for my liking. The customer service was very good but the meal for 17 dollars wasn’t up to par with other Mexican cuisine. Of course, Springfield isn’t known for good Mexican food like Austin Texas or Tulsa OK, I would say this is subpar compared to other Mexican cuisine in the area, with my biggest concern being the flavor of the food. I enjoy Mexican cuisine and was excited to taste it but was underwhelmed. Of course I’ve tried a lot of Mexican food and I would this restaurant is a 3 star, right in the middle of the road for Springfield. I hate to write a negative review for a mom and pop shop but I was disappointed, just to be honest, especially at this price point.
