Honest review. For preface. Im from california. I went here with very low expectations. I found the hot sauces to be veey cali style. The meats were good too. I had the adobada tacos. Above avg. Better in pork than beef in my opinion. I also had the torta in al pastor. Above avg. And the asada burritto. Also abv average. Cant compare with my favorite of king taco in los angeles. But this is better than amything in dallas t x where i live now. If i lived in springfield missouri i might come back weekly. Also the.hot sauces were very california style rather tham tex mex. I highly recommend this place. Also value for food is good. The interior atmosphere is very bland. All in all. 4 of 5 stars. Thats better than most places ive rated in dallas. Lol.

I ordered a to go meal. Right off the bat it was 17 dollars for 4 tacos with a side of rice and beans. The rice and beans lacked flavor, and the beans were not standard beans you would expect from a Mexican restraunt. The meat was too fatty and lacked flavor as well, there was only one tortilla for the street style taco and the tortilla tasted rather raw instead of cooked, liked it wasn’t seared with enough oil or for long enough. Additionally, the salsa verde and red salsa that came with the tacos were both flavorless and not spicy enough for my liking. The customer service was very good but the meal for 17 dollars wasn’t up to par with other Mexican cuisine. Of course, Springfield isn’t known for good Mexican food like Austin Texas or Tulsa OK, I would say this is subpar compared to other Mexican cuisine in the area, with my biggest concern being the flavor of the food. I enjoy Mexican cuisine and was excited to taste it but was underwhelmed. Of course I’ve tried a lot of Mexican food and I would this restaurant is a 3 star, right in the middle of the road for Springfield. I hate to write a negative review for a mom and pop shop but I was disappointed, just to be honest, especially at this price point.

Always a good sign when you’re the only gringo haha the Birria and menudo rivaled the stuff I’ve had in Mexico. They actually use goat as well which not a lot of places around do it the authentic way. The salsas were on point. The thick handmade corn tortillas were perfect do grab and eat out of the bowl.

Wife and I did date night here on Friday night. Had heard good things but it was even better. Portions were plentiful and fresh. Picture is a steak quesadilla and a cabez street taco. Steak and cabez very flavorful. Wife had an asada gordita that was very good as well. All meat was well seasoned and veggies were fresh. If you like hot sauce they definitely have a good variety. All that and a bottle water was 20 bucks. Definitely will go back and look to try some of the other options.

Not your normal Mexican restaurant. Be aware no chips & salsa, no margaritas and interestingly enough - no chicken. That’s right the Rooster does not serve chicken. Think of this place as an indoor taco truck. The food: asada was good, carnitas was bland. The sope was not cooked enough for my taste. However; props for the add ons of radishes and grilled jalapeños. Overall a decent place that probably doesn’t have anything tasty enough to draw me back.

Google
Classic Taco Shop. Better than Mexico. They make fresh tortillas on the spot when you order...100% awesome. Counter person nice. Spoke to the owner very nice. Kitchen looks very very clean. Restaurant is nice. Clean. Professional. Very happy to have a place like this open up. Loved the food. Excellent!

Yelp
This place is great. Lunch on a Wednesday is a crowd of Spanish speaking workers on lunch break, enjoying an amazing meal, sprinkled with some white folks reliving their last Cancun Vacation. Tacos are authentic. Everything you could want, including tongue, cheek, and head cheese. Great prices for a flavor typically found on the other side of a plane ride. Good Luck to the owners as they manage this gem of a

Yelp
The food was amazing! I had Mexican tacos from Chicago's Little Village, and they come very close to the real deal. If you want great Mexican food, this is the place!

Yelp
I want to start by mentioning that this local restaurant just opened up not too long ago and I decided to give it a try! I was super impressed. The service was amazing and super fast as I placed a to go order. The places seemed busy the entire time as well. The food was great. I had a chicken burrito and two street tacos of which I am unaware the kind of meat that I had because I asked them to give me their best, then promptly forgot to ask what it was. Overall it was all great, I do wish they had chips to serve as well.

Yelp
First time at this Location. From California, huge taco fans here. Ordered six tacos and 1 quesadilla. Amazing. Just like home. The salsa slaps, the Jamaica slaps, the asada slapped my taste buds so hard. Definitely recommend. And come with an appetite because you will leave no crumbs.

Yelp
Just getting into food business, counter help speaks broken English and couldn't give a std receipt BUT meal was quite tasty - steak sandwich std fare but the BREAD is fantastic being crisp outside/soft and moist inside. Not sure I'd return but give'm 3-stars for effort..

Yelp
It's like being back in Mexico. The special quesadilla is very authentic large corn tortilla filled with cheese and meat. The tacos were fantastic and we also tried the burrito harina with Al pastor with rice and beans soo good. Very authentic.

Yelp
When the business first opened we went at lunch and everything good but was disappointed last night we should have left when we first walked in and an employee was sitting on a prep table next to the grill and seen the sauces on the counter dried up. The large burritos are made store bought tortillas unlike the street tacos tortillas that are fresh made.

Yelp
My wife and I went to this restaurant and it didn't disappoint so this is the best Mexican restaurant in Springfield that I have tried. They make there food fresh It come out of there kitchen hot. The had really good salsas they reminded me of what my mom makes truly worth going back. The girl that took our order was patient with us when we got there we took our time to order and she helped with some suggestions I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the most authentic Mexican food spot in Springfield! The young lady up front helped recommend food because I was indecisive. I got a burrito with carne asada and Al pastor. It was amazing! Definitely will be back!
