"In 2020, the Pacific Northwest throwback favorite opened a new 10,000-square-foot location at Belltown’s historic Union Stables building just north of Pike Place Market. With a main dining area, four private rooms, and a bar, there’s plenty of space for those dining in." - Gabe Guarente, Megan Hill
"Venerable steakhouse El Gaucho has reopened its large dining room to the public, complete with live Spanish guitar." - Alex Frane
"Seattle’s answer to NYC’s Peter Luger, El Gaucho and its mink-upholstered booths has a rep as a ritzy, unaffordable-to-the-common-man chophouse. Although the current Belltown location isn’t the original one from the ’50s, it’s tricked out with enough showstopping Rat Pack style to fool anyone who didn’t know that: a live pianist, a flaming bananas Foster cart, candles, martinis, and flamboyant, dazzling cuts of meat. Service is next-level, as well." - Meg van Huygen
