"Oakland Park has no shortage of stellar Mexican, but El Guanaco reigns supreme for its sprinkling of Salvadorean morsels, always-friendly staff, and being a quaint powerhouse (literally, it feels like you’re in a magical house). Order the pupusas – try the Loroco, made with a flower from El Salvador – as well as its mole chicken enchiladas, which come smothered in a slightly kicked, homemade sauce." - Jesse Scott

Google
Delicious Mexican Food. Their burrito was average in size but packed full of flavor. I was surprised by the freshness or their tortilla chips, but their hot salsa stole the show as it was truly fresh & super flavorful. The Guacamole was probably equal to their salsa. I left here full and very happy.

Hadn’t been here in years and it’s still as good as the first time. I love this place. From the friendly servers to the beautiful outside patio. Their margaritas are some of the best. Tacos phenomenal, all the sauces are house made. Tortillas made from scratch. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It’s a must whenever I’m in south Florida.

Google
First time here and what a great place! Cute restaurant! The chips and salsa were delicious. The chorizo cheese dip was excellent with fantastic cheese pull! Steak tacos were amazing! The rice and beans were delicious! Chicken hard tacos were good! Can’t wait to come back and try other things off the menu! Oh be careful of the green sauce it will clear your sinuses out! Lol!

Visited this location while on Vacation. I enjoyed this place more than some spots In San Antonio. Lunch specials were a great price and the food was amazing. The family enjoyed eating here and we will be back next time we are Vacationing here

I had the enchiladas trio which were very flavorful. My son had the birria taco which he said was very good. The chips were fresh and the salsa was delicious with lots of cilantro. I also had the spicy margarita. It wae

El Guanaco is a hidden gem! Hands down the best spot for authentic Mexican and Salvadorian dishes. Every bite is packed with flavor, and the salsa verde? Pure fire—it doesn’t just spice up the food, it spices up my soul. 🌶️🔥 Highly recommend if you’re craving bold, homemade flavors that hit just right.🫶🏼

Google
We had friends who recommended this place and so we came from Miami and it was worth the drive! The food and the service was excellent! I had the chicken fajitas which were fantastic and my partner had the shredded pork which was delicious! For dessert we enjoyed the caramel flan. Good portions for their incredible $12 lunch specials! We have traveled through all of Mexico and we have to say that this was one of the best dining experiences we have had! Just like homemade! It's an amiable intimate space, so come early and enjoy! Dr. G.

Good food with a beautiful presentation. Relaxed atmosphere, lots of variety on the menu. The shrimp tacos were delicious the caramel flan was scrumptious. Kid friendly! I’ll definitely be back.

Yelp
Five star because the food was delicious. I found them at the Oakland park food festival and as soon as I tried their rice, I knew they were good. White rice barely has flavor and this had all the love. These are the flavors that Broward are missing. We need good inexpensive Latino food. Today I was in the area and noticed I was close by so we stopped. It's a small house like restaurant. Indoor/outdoor seating, small space though but quick turnover. No frills, just good food. And fast, friendly and efficient service. It was packed on Taco Tuesday but they moved everyone's orders quick, I love that. I noticed the menu was half mexican half Salvadorian food. I also saw they have unlimited tacos for $19.95 on Taco Tuesday only. I ordered the Chipotle chicken burrito. It was excellent, so much flavor! Came qith refried beans, guac, rice and a green hot sauce for $13. It was a good portion. We also tried the steak flautas that also came qith the same sides. Our side was an Elote that was nicely grilled too. This place is great honestly with great prices. Parking is free but right depending on the day but a must go for a no thrills great meal.

Yelp
We met friends for lunch here during the week. The restaurant is a separate small building. As we pulled up, I recognized it as a place I'd come to before -- right after they opened, but before I was doing yelp reviews -- with a girlfriend. The restaurant is small inside, but out back they have a lovely patio area with tables and chairs. We sat at a high-top table. They have a special lunch menu (ask for it if you are not given it) as well as their regular menu. Three of us ordered from the lunch specials and one from the dinner menu. The restaurant is part Mexican/Spanish and also cuisine from El Salvador. We were given a basket of chips and two cups of mild tomato salsas to start. I ordered their mahi tacos from the lunch special menu. The fried fish was lightly battered and came in soft flour taco shells with lettuce and pico de gallo, a mound of rice, and my choice of side (salad). There was also a small container of very spicy green sauce on the side. My husband got a combo lunch special. It had a beef soft taco, and a beef crispy tostada, refried beans, rice, and (what he enjoyed most) was the enchilada with cheese. Spicy tomatillo sauce on the side. Our friends had a tilapia fish with pico de gallo lunch special and a (dinner portion) steak with white rice, plantains, and black beans. They also shared one of the pork and cheese pupusas. For dessert, my husband and I shared a very good caramel flan. We had a nice time, catching up on conversation, and were not rushed even though inside the place was packed. Lunch prices are reasonable, portions are still a decent size, and the food was good.

Yelp
This is a small Salvadorean / Mexican restaurant on Prospect in Oakland Park. There is some customer parking in front and to the side of the restaurant. They had a lunch menu, which they offered after we asked for it. Many items for $10... usually a protein and two sides. The rice and beans were good, my grilled tilapia was good. My husband's carne asada was very dry and not something that I would get again. The chips and salsa were free for the first basket...they were good...the chips were warm and the salsa chunky. I also ordered a pork and cheese pupusa...it was just OK....not my favorite thing to eat....but I wanted to try it...... Our server was nice and pleasant. We sat in the patio on the back of the restaurant. A nice pleasant ambiance. They gladly do separate checks.

Marioly F.

Yelp
Best pupusas in SFL!! I usually go once per month, the pupusas are authentic and delicious BTW, a pupusa is a thick griddle cake from El Salvador and Honduras made with cornmeal or rice flour the inside is filled with cheese, beans and your choice of meat.

Briana E.

Yelp
I had a work meeting during lunch, so I decided to finally try this restaurant (for delivery). My only issue was that I received my order wayyy past the delivery time indicated on the tracking.. But the food was surprisingly fresh and delicious! No complaints on the taste. More than enough food for one person! (They also have $10 lunch specials, but those are dine in only.)

Cristina P.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot to get Mexican food. I love their chilaquiles and chicken sopes. Service is pretty good. I sometimes have an issue ordering 1 thing and getting another. They fix it, but it's happened a few times already to me. They have good drink specials and indoor and outdoor seating.

Sherry W.

Yelp
My last review was 10 years ago and this leave is still delicious. Everything taste so fresh. I like that you can order individual items and get a variety of foods. We had a pork, bean and cheese pupusa, steak tacos, pork tacos, chicken tamale, and sweet tamale all for $30. They bring you one complimentary basket of chips and salsa. They have indoor and outdoor dining.

Yelp
El Guanaco is a hidden gem you don't want to pass up on. I had this place bookmarked for a while & decided to meet up with a friend here & we loved it! This place is very beautiful inside & they also have an outdoor section in the back. We decided the eat inside & boy was the AC piping. First off, their menu has so many options to choose from, plus they serve all day breakfast which my friend loved. They also have a vegetarian section on their menu which I appreciated. I got the vegetarian enchiladas (not pictured because I swallowed it up ). I ended up getting the passion fruit juice & the size of the glass made me so happy I almost teared up #BigBack. The staff are amazing & so kind, they kept checking in making sure we were enjoying ourselves. I'm definitely coming back! I have to try their tres leches next time

Meg T.

Yelp
I was craving Mexican and there aren't to many authentic Mexican spots in south Florida but this place is legit . It's a small cute spots with great prices. Service was a little slow for my takeout order, but other than that I will definitely be back. Order the passion fruit drink and tostadas it won't disappoint!

Sarah S.

Yelp
For me this was classic don't judge a book by its cover. This place is in a strip mall. When we arrived I saw these stools in the front and thought surely this isn't their outdoor seating. It wasn't! Upon entering we found a bright nice inside with a few tables. We chose to sit in their patio which is covered with a variety of table choices. Our waiter was helpful and very nice. They had specials for superbowl Sunday. Had a pupusa it was larger than an I expected. Delicious flavors in the rice and beans and the 7 layer dip was refreshing. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Was Hesitant at first trying this place out. But, once I walked in I felt at home. Kind people here each server was helping out the other and the sense of community was definitely present. Delicious food and a well versed menu! Great place to check out in Fort Lauderdale!

Michael C.

Yelp
Guanaco participates in DINEOUT Lauderdale. If you don't know what DINEOUT Lauderdale is here is some information about it (if you know what Miami Spice is, this is Fort Lauderdale's version): Dine Out Lauderdale RESTAURANT MONTHS August 1 - September 30, 2024 Visit Lauderdale's Dine Out Lauderdale Restaurant Months showcases Greater Fort Lauderdale's diverse culinary offerings to residents and visitors. We're offering you a smorgasbord of ways to eat your way through Greater Fort Lauderdale with curated, three-course dining options. From August 1 through September 30, 2024, participating restaurants and eateries throughout the region are featuring prix fixe menus at $35 (lunch), $45, $55 or a luxe option for $75, plus additional discounts on sweets and treats, brunches, happy hours, and exclusive culinary experiences. Here's the website with more info and a list of participating restaurants: https://www.visitlauderdale.com/dineout/ For $40 you get to pick from a selection of appetizers, entrees, dessert, and drink (just a heads up, the coca cola from Mexico I ordered is not considered a soft drink from the DINEOUT menu, I had to pay about $3 for the special Coke, I guess it's only can sodas that are considered part of the fixed meal, no worries) For my appetizer I ordered the Street Corn. Only one cob and it was delicious. Then I asked for the Snapper with rice and beans and maduros. I had enough to take some home. For dessert I ordered the churros which came with icecream, very tasty and also took some home. For my drink I decided to get Coca Cola made in Mexico in old fashioned bottle which I've heard is made with real sugar, not high fructose corn syrup, although I don't mind the regular version. Like I said before the Coca Cola bottle is not considered a soft drink for the DINEOUT Lauderdale fixed menu. All the staff were really welcoming and I didn't have to wait too long for the food to come out. I went with my neighbor/friend who needs to use a wheelchair and at Guanaco there is a ramp from the parking lot and my neighbor was able to sit in his wheelchair at a table, plenty of room. Guanaco has a very tidy and inviting ambiance with nice music coming out of the speakers, not too loud. All in all I Iike this place and have been planning to visit for a while now. Highly recommend and I will be back!:)

Lina S.

Yelp
I've been to El Guanaco a few times now, and it's always a good . The lunch specials from Monday to Friday are very good . I especially love all the soup.

Jenna L.

Yelp
The best, most authentic food. Amazing tacos and pupusas, and such a cute place. Highly recommend!!!

Mary Kate R.

Yelp
Great lunch specials for $10, includes a soda! Immediately had chips and salsa in front of us. Our server was quick and friendly. Cozy and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Yulli M.

Yelp
Good food salvadorian and mexixan mix ,service fast and really amable. Ambiance its ok.

Lexy R.

Yelp
All you can eat tacos special, Taco Tuesday. Though I've been coming to El Guanaco for a few years for their Salvadoran dishes {Their Pupusas & Caldos 'soups' are divine } and their patio ambience, I'm a sucker for a good patio or outside seating + they service is always on point and the entire staff is super friendly. As much as I love tacos, I honestly can't believe this was my first time ever trying their tacos!!!! I ordered one of each taco that was gluten, friendly, which are the Steak, Chipotle Chicken, Carnitas, Al Pastor & Chorizo ... I believe all their tacos on the menu on soft corn tortillas, and not deep-fried are GF. While I'll still occasionally pop in for a steak taco now and then, I'll def continuously come back for the Pupusas, super fresh crispy chips & house made tangy salsa and those banging spicy margaritas. All you can eat taco special $19.99pp

Nicole R.

Yelp
Another hidden gem in the Fort Lauderdale area! This unassuming establishment has become a cherished go-to spot for my boyfriend and I whenever we are in the area. With its inviting homey feel and delightful outdoor seating area, El Guanaco offers a warm and welcoming ambiance. Having been here many ties, I can confidently say their food is consistently fantastic. You can never go wrong with a great burrito. Their staff is always friendly and attentive. My favorite spot to dine here is in the back outside seating area when the weather is cooler. It provides a cozy and intimate setting, especially with the lights overhead. Plus they serve good margaritas. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!

David P.

Yelp
This is a great Salvadoran restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. It's small and has great food. We were served chips and salsa along with our drinks. The salsa was very mild, just the faintest amount of hotness, but well seasoned. Delicious! Our chips seemed to be stale (perhaps the humidity? It was pouring outside). My wife wanted the chicken soup, but they were out of it. She settled for the green corn tamales. Very good. I had the Salvadoran steak with onions. It came with black beans and rice. The steak came well done and had a little of flavor. The rice was had pieces of corn and other vegetables in it. Also very good. I'd like to try some other dishes here at another time.

Teresa G.

Yelp
Food and service was outstanding! It is definitely a vibe there. We were celebrating a birthday and it was just perfect. I found this place on Grubhub and it was so good that we dined in last weekend and again tonight. Hands down a 10/10. I will definitely be going back soon! Plans to try everything.

Lou S.

Yelp
I live in South Miami-Dade but had an event in North Broward, searched AADining and saw this place. Always up for Salvadorean food, my wife and daughter hadn't had it in a while. Small, family friendly restaurant. we all had Salvadorean pupusas, sweet corn tamales and chorizo melted cheese. All where delicious at a reasonable price. The Corona beer I ordered was lukewarm, but nobody is perfect. Friendly, efficient service, I would recommend !!

Nichelle W.

Yelp
Four stars because they FORGOT my FLAN off of my takeout order otherwise my meals were delicious, the tamale did not have much flavor without the sauce which also was not added to my takeout order .. the enchilada was delicious and the tacos were delicious and the rice and beans were delicious. Hopefully they will honor the flan next time I come back.. they were closing when I discovered it was missing back at the hotel

Tiffany C.

Yelp
I had an excellent experience ordering via DoorDash. I'll definitely be visiting in person for the fresh experience. The Crispy Chicken Taco I ordered, paired with refried beans and rice, was absolutely spectacular. The flavorful rice and fantastic refried beans stood out. I also ordered a side of chorizo taco and Mexican street corn, both of which were must-tries! I can't stop raving about it.

Dennis W.

Yelp
I'm in the area ever so often and I decided to try something different to eat while I was around, and I like Pupusas so I decided to give this place a shot. Nice vibe and aesthetics, especially the outside seating area where I chose to have my meal of Pupusas. They were OK but not the best Pupusas I've ever had. The service was great and the wait staff were friendly nonetheless. I might still check them out again in the future and try something else on the menu.

Adri J.

Yelp
Shout out to the hubs for bringing me here for lunch today and for always discovering the hidden gems and putting me on. This place is cute & small inside with a few booth style chairs and a few small tables. They also offer outdoor seating, but in this South Florida heat it was a must to sit inside. We ordered some margaritas- I had a passionfruit and the hubs stuck to the traditional one. Both of them were really good. Mixed perfectly well - not too much of anything just the right amount. As an appetizer we had a Papusa stuffed with steak & cheese. For our main dishes I chose the chicken flautas and he had the lengua tacos. Friendly, Fast and Delicious food - definitely will be back. How I rated our food: Papusa con carne y queso- 10/10 Delicious soft pillowy and not overly stuffed served with some slaw & sauce. Que Rico!! this is definitely my new obsession! Papusas!! Chicken Flautas- 10/10 Lightly crispy on the outside and stuffed with the juiciest chicken. Topped off with shredded lettuce, crema, guacamole & cotija cheese. Served with yelllow rice & the best frijoles! Lengua Tacos- 10/10 I am not a fan of Lengua - but the hubby insisted that I had to try them and I'm glad I did because they really did not disappoint whatsoever.

Natalie B.

Yelp
The food was so good I loved the service and the ambiance was really nice I will definitely be back

Carol R.

Yelp
I had been craving a margarita, so I typed in a search for best margaritas in the Fort Lauderdale area and El Guanaco came up on the list (with many others). It was close enough to home and not in a busy-Friday-night area. So off hubby and I went. The place is somewhat like a small house along a sidewalk of businesses (including one of my favorite pool service renovators). There is enough parking out front and more in the back. The inside seats about 20 and they have a back courtyard that seats about the same number. We opted for the AC interior. On being seated you are given a basket of chips and some salsa. Definitely homemade and the salsa is addictive. I ordered a frozen passion fruit margarita. Just what I needed, though I never tasted the tequila or even got the feeling that I drank any alcohol. Our appetizers included one pork, beans, and cheese papusa and an order of sweet corn tamales. I wanted chicken tamales but they were out. It was our first time having a papusa, and our server assured me it didn't have a lot of cheese. (I am lactose intolerant but can have a smidgen of cheese.) It was enveloped in a tortilla type wrapper that was closed all around and it had lots of cheese. It was only OK for us. And tasted much better with the red sauce that accompanied it. The tamales were to die for with a smooth sweet texture that melted on my tongue and reminded me of my Mexican friend Dona Hortencia's pineapple tamales. I have been craving her tamales and buying others to satisfy the craving, with no luck. These did the job. The mahi mahi burrito came with a veggie studded rice, refried beans, and guacamole. I like that the fish was not breaded, but there was some sort of sauce in the wrapper that made the burrito a dripping mess and tough to enjoy. The standout of the meal was the fried tilapia that we had with tostones and maduros. The fish was large and fleshy, and with a squeeze of lime, was scintillating on my tongue. The tostones (fried green plantains) were not totally green and hard but just about to ripen with a little give to the texture, so to me, they were perfect. The maduros (fried ripe plantains) were cut very thick and were a bit hard, as if they were not ripe enough. Our total for 1 drink, 2 appetizers, 2 meals, tax, and tip was $74. Your bill will come with two totals: one for a cash payment and one with a service charge for using a credit card. I have not seen this charge in years, and now I have had it added to my bill for the past two outings. I wish Yelp offered half stars, because this place should get 4 1/2 stars. The service was superb. (We had Mateo.) But I plan to return for more tamales and fish, and I want to try some other Mexican items. Hopefully, then, I can bestow the 5 stars that this place so rightfully deserves.

Sydnee C.

Yelp
We went to this place for their breakfast burritos, which were delicious. Ended up getting some pupusas our second time back and they were amazing. We've only had takeout orders so far, and I will say every order has been great and the staff have been so kind every time we pick up our order. 10/10! We love this place!

Kellie S.

Yelp
Was in the Ft. Lauderdale area for the weekend and happened to pass by El Guanaco on a walk back to our Airbnb. The outside was small but very quaint-looking, so I decided to look it up when we got back to the house. Was set on going after seeing great reviews, so we checked it out for lunch. It was quite crowded for a Saturday, which we thought was a good sign, and we managed to score a small table in the corner of the outdoor patio. Loved the ambiance -- I'm a sucker for a good patio space -- and the variety on the menu. We did a few chicken tamales and a chicken pupusa, and I would 100% order that again and try the other pupusa options. For lunch, we both just went with tacos. Chorizo for me. Steak for the boyfriend. The chorizo was very good but a tiny bit greasy (not unexpected for chorizo, though, so didn't take away from the meal for me), and the steak was alright. The tortillas were fresh and made in house, and they were so delicious. Rice and beans on the side were flavored well and very filling. After lunch, we wound down with a cortadito that was perfect. If I'm ever back in the area, I will insist that we go back and branch out to try the other menu items as well. Highly recommend!

Shallon B.

Yelp
Authentic, great price, and amazing staff. Driving up to the restaurant looks like a visit to someone's home. Walking in feels as if you are visiting family, chilling, and about to have a great meal in their backyard. There is an option to dine indoors or enjoy the patio outside. They also have a great menu with a combination of Salvadoran and Mexican favorites, enough for everyone. Once seated, I was serviced chips and salsa, and oh man it's addicting. I ordered the cheese and beans and cheese-only pupusas and from the lunch menu, the pollo ala plancha. Listennn, they were hot, fully loaded, and tasted homemade, transporting me to what I ate in El Salvador and Guatemala, highly recommended them. The lunch combo was served with tender, juicy and delicious grilled chicken breast, rice, and black beans. Everything about it was absolutely flavourful and just satisfying. Service was not lacking and the waitress was both attentive and friendly. Don't walk run to visit. **Additional parking space is in the back.

Macoisinha M.

Yelp
Plenty of vegetarian options Nice patio outside Efficient service Nice food and ok margaritas

Ariella V.

Yelp
Ok ok ok! I FINALLY made it here after reading ALL OF THE HYPE! I am actually mad at myself for living so close and not going sooner! GO GO GO! Soooooo good! The flavoring. The chips and salsa are so fresh and crispy! The chicken and cheese pupusa is life changing! Even the kids carne asada with French fries is to die for! I also ordered the steak tostada which was so good too but I feel like I shorted myself and should have ALSO gotten the shrimp one as well. Either way I'll be back. Order the sangria. Order the passion fruit juice. Order everything if you can! Haha! Delicious, affordable and such a cute hole in the wall that deserves all of the recognition because it really is nothing short of amazing. I have also attached some mouth watering photos for you swoon over! Cheers!

Thao N.

Yelp
The plates for 2 people with Nicaraguar foods is tastie good. The chia & passion fruit drink is need

Christine H.

Yelp
Found EL Guanaco on Yelp and what a hidden gem it was! It definitely looks like a hole in the wall but don't let that fool you. The food is delicious! There were so many items on the menu we wanted to order. Crab nachos were unique and good. The Birria tacos were a little soggy. Pupusas are yummy! Service was friendly and delightful.

Samantha A.

Yelp
We went here on a Thursday evening and the place was packed indoors and outdoors. The service was quick and the wait staff was attentive. We ordered our food and got it fairly quickly. My steak was cooked to my liking and it had good flavor. The tostones were crispy and not soggy with oil. My husbands steak was overcooked and he said it wasn't flavorful. We also ordered a chicken and cheese pupusa which was delicious. They do charge more if you pay with credit card but it's not a significant difference. The price is right for this place, the staff are friendly and attentive even though they are busy, and the food has good flavor. I will go back!

Olga R.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place. I loved their tamales, corn, salads, and flan! The service was great! Ambiance was nice, as we sat outside and enjoyed ourselves.

Natalie 'Monita' E.

Yelp
Cute hole in the wall. There is an outdoor patio in the back with lights. Taco Tuesdays have never been better. They have $1 tacos you can't beat it. And their drinks I believe are on special too. The drinks were so strong and delicious. It can get packed for a small restaurant so I suggest getting there early if you are arriving for taco Tuesday. The service is pretty good!

Taj T.

Yelp
Look my wife low key flew back to Florida JUST fort this restaurant. She hyped up the "Whole fried tilapia" for months and months...and it did not disappoint (tears of joy). Just writing about the hot, flaky fresh fish with drips of lime juice to give a tang through the light lovely oiliness makes me wanna hop in a car and floor it to Florida. Everything is so fresh, the flavors just pop more than any other restaurants. The "El Guanaco Combo" during lunch hour is a steal. Three different ways to eat the same ingredients but each feels essential. The tostada in particular was a standout. Pupusas with loroco were a great authentic and unique way to start the meal. Us northerners seriously have no conception of what real Mexican food is. To finish off, fresh churros and ice cream. We also had to try the tres leches which came from a local bakery. These were the final nails in our coffins but at least we died happy Here's hoping heaven includes El Guanaco in a corner.

Neeketa S.

Yelp
**Vegetarian Friendly** Looking for a hole-in-the-wall mexican spot? THIS IS IT. We drove past this spot multiple times before finding it, so be on the lookout! It's a very small restaurant, but the service is so quick, that the tables turn over very quickly. As soon as you're seated, the complimentary chips and salsa make their way out. Delicious authentic spicy salsa. The Vegetarian Tostadas and Vegetarian Enchiladas were fantastic. Double thumbs up for having a separate vegetarian menu. Will definitely be back!

Kai W.

Yelp
Great Papusas.......made to order, delicious and authentic. Take the time to find this hidden gem in Pompano Beach, FL.

Yadira M.

Yelp
I honestly love this spot . I've only eaten at the actual restaurant once, and the service was great. Super cute restaurant with outdoor seating as well I typically order Uber eats from here very often. I did once get the wrong order and even that was delicious. I've tried several different dishes, and I've enjoyed every single one . my favorite being the steak fajitas. The Pupusas are soooo good. So much flavor in every dish! Highly recommend, especially when you're in the mood for food that feels like home. Check them out.

Delilah B.

Yelp
This small restaurant has an amazing selection of Mexican and Salvadoran foods on its menu. We started with a papusas stuffed with cheese and chicken which was really good. I got enchiladas (pictured) They were awesome and my friend got 3 chicken tacos which he loves so much that he gets them every time he comes. The service was beyond great. They never let an empty plate sit on the table and they were in to of everything. Try this delightful hole in the wall I know you will like it!

Yelp
Good food (real Mexican food), friendly staff and quick service. There's limited seating inside but outside is great during the cooler months.

Yelp
Im here at Guanaco I've been coming here for years now as soon as I discovered they had good tacos and amazing salsa verde. I'm not vegetarian but I don't like to always indulge in meat I actually fell in love with there kids bean & cheese burrito lol I have it all the time my kid loves it too. I usually order the steak tacos for my oldest son also my husband orders the mahi tacos all the time. Well turns out idk who the manager is now but I can't have my burrito here and I'm being forced to eat it to go because they can't see me eat it even though I already ordered a mean margarita and I want another one Im basically being treated like a piece of shit what ever happened?! They could have simply said ok you can enjoy it here but if you pay more lol I would have been fine with that too

Yelp
Don't let the tiny hole in the wall appearance throw you off... This place is a hidden gem. The pupusa's are absolutely to die for. They are super cheesy. Definitely cheese pull worthy. The Birria tacos were very tasty. The meat is some of the most flavorful in town, I would've liked if the tortilla was crispier... so I would call them more of Birria style because of the meat, but the tortilla of a normal taco. The steak burrito was jampacked with flavor and had a great crisp to it. Fried cheese was solid. Service was quick and great.

Yelp
Cute place inside! Smelled amazing as soon as we walked in too! Their salsa was really fresh and great tasting. Did not enjoy the queso with chorizo as much. The cheese was really grainy in texture but not horrible. I had the flautas which were sooo good with the crispy flour tortilla with all the toppings! The refried beans were wet flavorful too. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
The pupusas are amazing! Especially the pork, cheese and bean. So delicious. Service was good and knowledgeable. Had a very authentic home cooked quality to everything. The sopes and flautas were on point as well. Highly recommend this little spot.

Yelp
Looks like a real dive. Not a lot of parking. But this place is awesome! Really authentic, fresh, and delicious. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. We had chicken tacos, bierros tacos, and chorizo tacos. They were all delicious. Frozen mango margarita and a sangria also really good. Everything reasonably priced. Definitely recommend checking this place out,
