Tried their ribs and they were fantastic! Very well made, very tender and flavorful! I would recommend them easily! Update: also tried their quesadilla and it was also very good but the ribs are the still star of the show. 10/10 would recommend this place every time.

Great food. Delicious flavors. Had a burrito that was very yummy, wife had a bowl which was even better. Crazy busy when we came in but worth any wait. Cool staff, very friendly and helpful with the menu. 6/18/22 Just an update. Went here for dinner again. Oh my God! Try the nachos. You must have someone order the nachos. Amazing. Pic is included wife stopped talking to me when they arrived and just ate. She went with Barbacoa and it was delicious to the end. Nice job this place is definitely on my fav spots to hit up while in San Jose. And yes there are plenty of Taquria's to choose from but give this place a chance or don't the lines are already long enough 😉 6/4/23 Brought my parents here. Ordered the nachos, of course, first thing devoured in a few short minutes. Delicious Burrito bowl, 2 orders of the Sunday special Quesabirria. Very good, lots of flavor, grease, cheese. But if you're not down with grease, stay away. We all looked like Elephant Seals sun bathing after eating. Oh well, it's worth it. Whenever I walk in & see tables with Nachos, I feel I had a little part in it, like .002%. Love the food and Willow Glenn Neighborhood. If you haven't been then it's time to give it a try!!! 8/9/25 They have expanded the menu. Try some new things or keep to the Originals.

We've been wanting to trying this place for awhile now. The service was pretty quick abd the staff is nice. We got the tacos platos (barbacoa, pollo, and carne asada), enchiladas (rojas, carne asada) and a kids quesadilla with the strawberry dragonfruit agua fresca. It was all really tasty! We ate outside with friends, and they have cute, shaded outdoor seating that's dog friendly. One of our friends doesn't like cilantro which is topped on the rice and lettuce on the enchiladas. So if you don't like cilantro, request it without during your order. My friends also thought the food was good. It's a bit pricey, but it is halal and we are in downtown Willow Glen. We would come again.

I came to El Halal Amigos with my family and placed my order at 5:48 PM. It’s now 6:32 PM, and we still haven’t received our food. When I asked about the delay, I was told “10 more minutes,” but at this point, the wait is getting ridiculous. What makes it worse is that the place was empty when we arrived, yet they are still prioritizing DoorDash orders over dine-in customers. It’s frustrating and unprofessional. I expected better service, but this experience was disappointing. If you’re planning to eat here, be prepared to wait a long time while online orders take precedence.

I have been wanting to try their food and was very happy. Ordered the burritos and I was about to get each one exactly the way I wanted I.e no beans, or no sauce etc it was no hassle. Meat and chicken was fresh and they were quick to serve., the portion is very large; I was able to take home for a leftover second meal.

El Halal Amigos is a gem! We were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is cozy, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Me and my bf tried their Sizzling Chicken Fajitas and Slow-cooked Barbacoa Costillas, and both were exceptional. Also we got a complimentary nachos as well! The meat was so tender, flavors were rich and every bite was a delight. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. If you're craving delicious Mexican cuisine with a halal twist, El Halal Amigos is the place to be! Definitely will be back ✅

Google
I came across this amazing Halal Mexican restaurant called El Halal Amigos, and I asked to see if everything was Halal and the owner came out to see me and personally guarantee that everything is 100% Halal!!! The staff and the owner Hisham were very kind people and very welcoming. I ended up going with the Burrito, which was recommended by Hisham, and I promise you guys it probably was one of my Best Burrito I've ever had. I won't lie it was a bit spicy but everything else was right on point. I recommend it to many of my other Mexican friends who live in the area and they're also going to go check it out because it's probably one of the best restaurant Halal I been to in San Francisco and San Jose. Thank You Hisham and I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town

Google
SO FREAKING GOOD! We're always on the hunt for halal food when we travel and fortunately, we came across El Halal Amigos during our Google search. We enjoyed everything about this place: the young staff were attentive, kind and friendly; the ambience was family friendly; and best of all, the food was amazing. Some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. Trying to scheme a way to get back to San Jose just so we can eat at this restaurant again lol.

Yelp
Visited El Halal Amigos earlier this week and loved it! We showed up around 5pm & the downtown area wasn't super busy - we were immediately helped & seated. The restaurant has a good amount of indoor seating as well as some tables outside - once you order you pick your seat & they bring out your food. We got our drinks immediately (house made Horchata & Fresca) which were SO GOOD!! We tried the Chile Relleno Burrito, Mahi Mahi NAR-chos, Barbacoa Costillas, and Tacos which were all great. The burrito and costillas were 10/10, I would highly recommend these and will definitely be getting the again.

Yelp
I've had this restaurant bookmarked for a while, but never got around to eating here. Full disclosure, my family and I came here on a Saturday where they were celebrating their 3-year anniversary and selling $3 soft tacos. The tacos are T-I-N-Y. I get that this is DTWG, but even at $3/taco, it's pricey for what you get. I can't imagine paying the regular menu price of $4.95/taco. You're better off going to Super Taqueria and getting a Super Taco that comes with freshly sliced avocado for that price. FYI - A 4% Living Wage Surcharge is tacked onto your bill. I ordered 2 Mahi Mahi tacos and 3 Carne Asada tacos. The fish was nicely battered, but very thin. The beef had a cornstarchy coating and not the typical char that you get with carne asada. The tacos do come with a nice orange salsa that isn't spicy. A bowl of thin tortilla chips is served along with salsa in a little plastic container. We didn't eat much of the chips as they were just ok. Note, there was not a single Hispanic person dining here when we visited. Although, it is popular amongst those that eat Halal, hence the name.

Yelp
We have been regulars at El Halal Amigos since we discovered it last year. Restaurant is always busy but it is still relatively easy to get seated. My go to is the Super Burrito which has excellent flavor combination. At this visit, they cut the burrito in half while aluminum wrap is on, so unfortunately there were some aluminum pieces left on burrito. They give complimentary chips but the salsa was in a little bit smaller bowl compared to past visits. I read on menu that they do a birria taco special on Sunday so I can't wait to visit again to try that!

Yelp
Me and my wife stopped by for a quick bite to eat. As I walked in ,I was greeted and asked if I needed a menu. Even though it was lunch time there were a few tables available inside. After enjoying some chips and salsa, the food quickly appeared. I got the brisket barbacoa burrito.the beef was tender and the burrito was really packed.you can't tell from the picture.most of the beef was at the end and not much in the middle . Maybe they were in a hurry rolling in up.Not a big deal. It still had plenty of meat

Yelp
The food here was pretty good... I think for Mexican food I'd give it a 6/10 which sounds harsh but it's not considering I live around 10/10 places! I feel like this place was good for a quick stop in for people not from the area, like me. The food was good, but it didn't blow my socks off -- I always love trying the salsas/hot sauces at New Mexican restaurants and I got their hottest one and it wasn't that hot, good flavor, but not the spice I was hoping for. I got the 3 taco plate and tried chicken, carne asada, and barbacoa. All three were good, the beans and rice were tasty too. I got an ice cold Jamaica too and enjoyed that. The service was quick, the restaurant was clean and they were cleaning up after people very quickly after they finished so they were operating like a well-oiled machine.

Yelp
I heard about the tacos at El Halal Amigos through a recommendation from a friend; however, my experience has been a bit disappointing. This location in Willow Glen opened up recently, but the tacos were on the expensive side. We ordered the lunch special (carne asada tacos with the rice and beans) as well as the brisket Nar-Chos. While the salsa and the guacamole were decent, the carne asada was as tough and grainy as if it had never seen a grill. The pinto beans were cooked well with a nice bite to them, but the tomato rice was very mushy and overcooked. The Nar-Chos had a generous portion of guacamole, but the brisket barbacoa was lackluster, being on the bland side. Maybe the birria tacos will be better, but it looks to be available only on Sundays. Pros: Service was quick and friendly. The plates were made of clay which was really interesting. The salsas are decent and each order comes with chips/salsa for dine in. Cons: Food was pricey and lackluster for what it costs.

Yelp
Can't believe I haven't reviews this place yet. This is my favorite place to go to for burritos. Their chicken is consistently moist and never off, hard, or dry (a lot of burrito places have more off days with their chicken than not) so I'm super picky when it comes to that. Also their famous nars sauce lives up to the hype, it has a great kick and it tastes really good! I have to stop myself from having too much because well, it's salsa. I've also had their chicken fajitas and they're really good. A lot of veggies and it comes with rice, beans, sour cream, and tortillas! Sometimes it's hard to get seating because their places isn't that large but if you wait around a bit you'll find a spot quickly. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for amazing Mexican food!

Yelp
I ordered the mahi-mahi tacos and an jicama Agua Fresca and it was delicious and refreshing. I was really happy. It wasn't too sweet since sometimes certain places put extra sugar into their drinks. I had three mahi-mahi tacos and I was actually very surprised to find so many pieces of mahi with each taco! I was also excited to know that this particular Mexican restaurant does not use any monosodium glutamate/MSG when they make any of their rice or beans or anything! I know a lot of restaurants use MSG for easy flavoring. Which is fine, but I am highly allergic to it! I was really excited to eat mahi-mahi tacos, which I haven't had since Hawaii at least not on the mainland since most restaurants use mono, sodium glutamate. The server was very helpful and friendly, and he went in the back to ask the chef what the gradients were for the rice and other toppings. As he went to get the answers, I was able to check out the scenery, and I really like the loud modern style along with the upbeat music, the Restaurant had!! Very inviting, warm and exciting! I will definitely check this restaurant out again and try other items especially since my boyfriend loves Mexican food and I can never eat it at restaurants because they usually put MSG and everything. Lol.

Yelp
The food was absolutely mouthwatering and their agua fresca's were delicious. The quality of the ingredients and flavor shines through. The restaurant is located in downtown Willow Glen, so there's lots of parking and a nice area to walk around in after you eat. The employees were so kind and our food came out quickly. Highly recommend grabbing some food and eating outside on their patio.

Yelp
Our experience here was good overall and mind you there were other people there seemingly enjoying their food. So obviously, take my review with a grain of salt, but I did not enjoy the tacos. I LOVE tacos so maybe I was comparing it to what I'm used to in Los Angeles. It did not taste like how I'm used to, but not sure why. I've never cooked tacos myself so I can't pin point what was the difference. They give a lot of food and gave us free chips and salsa which is always a plus for me! The beans were good but I didn't particularly like the tacos. The servers were fast and attentive. I'm sure the other foods are good but my tacos plate just wasn't for me.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by El Halal Amigos because 1) I had it bookmarked from Yelp reviews 2) Rave review from one of the baker's at Susiecakes bakery. As we were walking over, we thought, "Oh, this replaced the burger place." Outdoor and indoor seating available. Upbeat and fast tempo house music playing. Nicely and festive decorations. Service was super friendly and nice. You order at the front, get your number, and they will bring your food to your table. Birria Nar-Chos: Nachos, Birria Meat, Nacho Cheese, Chips, Pico De Gallo, Sour Cream, Jalapenos, Nar Sauce. Pretty good portion size and the amount of meat is pretty good. The birria meat is tender and moist. A shareable meal! Burrito Super: Choice of filling, pinto or black beans, spanish rice, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, crema & guacamole. We also got the birria meat. This was a tasty burrito.

Yelp
If you're looking for a halal spot this is definitely it. It reminds me so much of the halal food in NYC, so it tastes super authentic. That being said, if you're looking for more of a Mexican restaurant this doesn't really taste like your typical spot. They do have a lot of options and generous portions though! They also have agua frescas available as well. Service is excellent and they were really well attentive since when I had gone I went with a large group of people.

Yelp
I did not know this place existed until today while scrolling through Yelp and cravings tacos! So of course we drove here and got takeout. The inside of the restaurant is a little small so probably not so good for large groups. It seems like a lot of people were ordering takeouts anyway so the restaurant wasn't crowded for a table if you decide to eat there. We ordered: Nachos without meat & sour cream 3 street tacos plate 3 Crispy Tacos (Only on Sunday Special) This place won't disappoint. I was getting a little worry that the food wouldn't be good by the time we make it home since we had a few stops and it was 45 minutes later so the food would be cold. To my surprise, even though it wasn't hot anymore, it was still fire! One of the best tacos I've had in a long time! Do yourself a favor, stop here for some tacos & nachos. You won't be disappointed. It is that good. definitely coming back for more!
google avatar

Claire S.

Yelp
Some of the best tacos I've ever had! The Mexican rice is fantastic, and the fresh taco shells are so flavorful. My favorites are the barbacoa and carne asada tacos, but the chicken and mahi-mahi are also excellent. You get a generous amount of food for the price, and don't miss out on their daily rotation of aguas frescas to pair with your meal. The restaurant is located on one of the best streets in Campbell for a nice walk, and the outdoor seating adds to the great atmosphere. So glad I discovered this gem! Staff are above and beyond nice, I'm sure you will have a great experience!

Yelp
So awesome!!! The first time we visited here, the staff was amiable. It was my first time trying tacos with rice, and it was so good. The taco shells and meat were fresh and full of flavor. The burrito was okay, too. I looked at the menu, and they have deals on weekdays and a special birria taco on Sunday, so for sure, we will come back!
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
I really like that this taco spot offers a sit-down experience and is always clean. The tacos are tasty and never dry--they're always juicy, especially the Pollo al Pastor and Carne Asada. Plus, the $2 Pollo al Pastor tacos on Taco Tuesday are a great bonus! The red sauce is really good, and for sports fans, they even played the 49ers game on their TV, which was a nice touch. I also like coming here with my friend who eats halal, as there are options they can enjoy.
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
For Mexican food, this place is a bit expensive. For Halal Mexican food, the pricing is reasonable. The taco plate is the best value here! I would go for the brisket or steak tacos. I also love their rice, it was very flavorful, and I would eat it with the free chips and salsa. The service was good. They kept the tables clean and got my food out quickly. I enjoyed the outdoor seatings.
google avatar

Kristine J.

Yelp
i got birria plate to go. they didn't give me side of consome. that was super disappointing. birria was dry. def not a fan. i will def stick to my usual.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service! The owner is also very kind and makes sure you are enjoying your meal. Highly recommend trying El Halal Amigos!! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Kelly D.

Yelp
I got the taco plate with 2 pollo al pastor and 1 mahi mahi. They absolutely stuffed these tacos with meat it was so good! The chicken was marinated perfectly and wasn't dry at all. The mahi mahi a great option for those who like seafood, the fish was really yummy. The rice and beans were so flavorful and filling. It was a very well rounded plate. The workers were so kind, accommodating, and passionate about their work. The interior was very clean and there was also out door seating. My food came out really quickly and was very fresh. I would really recommend this place for halal tacos!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is lackluster. Visually good, but not up to the mark. The spicy sauce was the best. Without it everything tasted bland Good ambiance

Yelp
Halal Mexican food!? Yasssss, sign me up! :::happy girl dance::: Need I say more? No. Not really. But I will because this is Yelp, duh. Bf is a massive fan of this restaurant and raved about it, so I looked forward to trying it during one of my visits. Being Latina and from LA, I know a thing or two about good birria, and let me tell you how deliciously authentic every bite was. 10/10 You have nailed it, from the authentic flavors to the festive-themed ambiance, well done Chef Hisham! The staff was very tentative and accommodating. They even let me order birria nachos (not on the menu then) They brought us chips and salsa, and the service was pretty fast. Like I said before, happy girl.
google avatar

Tina A.

Yelp
Always passed by the El Halal Amigos restaurant in Willow Glen & then a friend recently told us that they serve the best tacos. So we read up on Chef Hisham & how he started his business (quite impressive)) & decided to check it out! Staff was super friendly and helpful as you ask question about their menu. Restaurant is not huge but is festive & has TV's for sports fans. They are quick to bring complimentary chips and salsa to your table! Those are always appreciated! We ordered the Birria Tacos seeing as they were the special on the day we came in. They were very tasty - meaty, crisped up nicely on the grill and cheesy, all at the same time. Our second dish was a Taco plate. The 3 meats we ordered were Brisket Barbacoa, Carne Asada, & Chicken Asada. It was a generous serving with the rice, pinto beans & sauces. Great presentation with the radishes, lime and colorful sauces! Loved the rustic plate the tacos were served on too! We saw customers eating a Taco salad that looked delicious, as well as an enormous Nacho dish that look like they could feed an army! We will be back with friends!
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and the place was clean. The food didn't take too long to come out. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. The barbacoa burrito tasted solid but it wasn't anything mind-blowing. It just tasted like a normal burrito. The proportions were good especially since I only finished half of it. Next time I come here, I will definitely try out the other items.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Food was amazing, great portion size as well. Highly recommend the brisket, very juicy.

Yelp
While visiting San Jose I knew I needed to try this place. What's better than good Mexican food? Halal Mexican food! High quality meat with bold flavors! The food came out fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious! I throughly enjoyed my meal and would come back again! The service was fast and the employees were kind giving suggestions of what they're favorite items are. The inside is your standard restaurant with tables and chairs with an outdoor patio area too. Located on a busy block parking can be a bit difficult but there is underground parking nearby.
google avatar

Matt A.

Yelp
The food, ambiance, and cleanliness of the place is astounding. The service is second to none, and the food is extremely tasty. No fountain soda machine, but they have it by the bottle and can.
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
This spot is soooo tasty for sit down Mexican food. Simply order at the front, take a number and sit down anywhere you like--we usually sit outside to enjoy the weather and busy street! Absolutely obsessed with the barbacoa ribs plate and chile rellano burrito with asada! They do beef so well here. Everything is super flavorful and delicious, so worth the price as their plates also come with a side of rice, beans, salsa, and tortillas. They have this green salsa and tomato salsa that are so flavorful but nowhere near as spicy as we like. Not a big deal though considering the neighborhood they're located in. Their guac is also a must since they offer chips and salsa as a free app too. Thought the horchata was cool but the strawberry hibiscus fresca was def the star of the show, perfect for the summer heat with all this good food!! Honestly a great spot and a great recommendation to anyone looking for a solid Mexican meal :)
google avatar

Camy T.

Yelp
Stopped into El Halal Amigos for a quick bite of my favorite well rounded menu item, the burrito bowl! This time I wanted to try a new protein- I got the Mahi Mahi. It was a bit too fishy for my tastebuds and stomach, but other than that the overall dish was delicious as usual. The employees were friendly as usual and quick on their feet! It was a pretty slow night which was lovely since it typically is packed and difficult to chat.
google avatar

Eric Joseph D.

Yelp
El Halal Amigos is soooo goood. What used to be a food truck is now one of San Jose's best Mexican restaurants. I just appreciate that everything is halal and the chipotle sauce is fire. They also have a lot of deals during the weekday, but the price is still affordable. The tacos and the burrito are very filling and I love that they have outdoor seating as well! Can't wait to come again!
google avatar

Urooj K.

Yelp
Tried the tacos, burrito chile relleno - delicious! Especially loved the carne asada tacos. Entire menu is halal which is a big plus. Fast service. Clean and cozy seating area. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Nohemy C.

Yelp
You know you are a fan when you come twice in 1 week! This time I had the barbacoa plate and it was scrumptious! A little salty for my taste but as authentic as I have had it. Also, my kid is a huge fan of their rice and black beans. I don't know what their secret is but the Mexican rice tastes like my grandma used to make it.
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
Just ordered through Door Dash. Please see photos. The guac in the photo was $3.30 and the taco was $5.50. YIKES!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Have lunch here several times a month. They have been decreasing portion size and charging the people more. $13 guacamole appetizer now comes with a tiny, tiny scoop of guacamole. Not worth it at all. Told this to the guy that worked here and he said yes it's because "avocados cost more money." Copita across the street is 3x more guacamole for the same price. Know before you go.

T A.

Yelp
Typical Taqueria setting. Service was good. My Enchiladas Authentica was ordered without protein. I thought the sauce was uninteresting and almost non existant. The mexican rice was too dry. The salsa was extremely spicey. I would gave prefered a choice of one rhat was either medium spicey or not spicey at all. The agua frescas were typical and ok. The other dish was the Barbcoa Catillos ( sp ) which were perfect. The rice was, again, dry. The beans were good and typical. We would return to try other items.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered online for pickup. El Halal Amigos is located on a pretty busy street in Willow Glen - would recommend parking a street behind the store if going on the weekend. Got the taco plate with mahi mahi, asada, and brisket barbacoa. The tacos were definitely loaded for meat. I enjoyed the fish/asada but thought the brisket flavor was a bit muted and not as flavorful. The plate also came with rice & beans, which were just okay. Would like to come back in the future to try the narchos/burritos but I'm alright on their tacos at the price point.
google avatar

Yelp
Wowwww really loved this place. I came here for a yelp event. There is indoor and outside seating and it was pretty packed. The ambiance is busy and fun- there's a walk up counter to order. The portion sizes and quality of food and service was top notch. The staff was extremely attentive and the food was delicious and filling. I decided to try the vegan taco option, not being a vegan, but I'm so glad I did. The sweet potatoes were perfectly cooked and tender, the kale was seasoned and the sauce was delicious. I also got the carne asada and the brisket barbacoa. The tacos were packed, meat falling out, not puny at all. The rice was perfectly seasoned, so flavorful- honestly the best Mexican rice I've ever had. Love the free basket of chips and salsa- that's always a win. The salsa was pretty spicy but I could handle it. I really like the green salsa that came with the tacos. The red salsa on the side of the tacos was even spicier so I didn't touch it beyond a taste, ha! I appreciate the options! The horchata was delicious, my first time trying it- the perfect balanced amount of sweetness. The owner is so passionate about food, people, their stories, and service. It really is incredible to hear his story and the fact that many of his employees have been with him for 10 years. That's often unheard of in the restaurant business. Really enjoyed this experience and will be back!

Yelp
I've been to El Halal Amigos many times, mostly for takeout. I feel like it's one of those places where you just can't go wrong. The food is fantastic and the portions generous. The NAR-cho burrito is one of my go-to's. Their NAR-chos and quesabirria tacos are also delicious. I like that there's outdoor seating available, which I always prefer on the rare occasion that I choose to eat in versus take out.

Yelp
@hala's you order pay take a number and your meal is brought to you, there is seating inside and outside. Not sure if yall remember Main Street burger well that's where they use to be. Ordered beef taco and the beef rib plate. We sat outside and I have to say the customer service here is great friendly welcoming and pleasant. So as we sat outside they brought us chips and salas. Honestly the salas has is smooth and has such a strong tomato base it just tasted like spicy marinara. The chips tasted like they were made fresh, we found them crispy and nicely salted really enjoyed the chips. The beef tacos were seasoned not dry and hard just nice bite sized pieces of juicy steak. The rice great color great flavor they did an excellent job on this. I'm not a rice fan but I truly loved it. The beans I ordered black had flavor and were cooked nicely. The beef ribs two large ribs plus a heap of extra meat under. The ribs tender meat falling off the bone but for me it lacked seasoning. There was some but not enough which could have elevated this dish. Great tortilla also they give you three with your plate. I have to say yes I would try this place again. You get great value for a great price. I might add some salt and pepper to bf ribs but I'd still have them again. Keep up the good work

Yelp
Great little Mexican gem in Willow Glen. My kids were craving burritos. They had the carne asada super burrito. I had the mahi mahi super burrito and added grilled jalapeños and onions. It was really good. The mahi mahi was lightly breaded and had a really nice crunch. The flavor was surprisingly good in a burrito. I would definitely come back for it.

Yelp
I'm at a complete loss for how this place only has four stars. I went with my wife and a friend for lunch and everything was fantastic. Its a counter service spot with a little bit of seating. We came at 2pm on a Saturday and it was almost completely full. I had the barbacoa super burrito and my wife had the three taco plate with one barbacoa, one mahi mahi and one vegetarian. The burrito was INSANELY good. Like one of the best burritos I've ever had kind of good. The meat was super moist and full of flavor. I tried my wife's mahi mahi taco and it was perfectly cooked, super light and moist. I did not try the vegetarian taco but she really liked it. Was nice to have a veggie option thats more than just mushrooms or beans and rice. I also had the orchata which was excellent, not too sweet and lots of flavor. Prices were reasonable and everyone working there was super friendly. Food came out super qucikly despite the crowds.

Yelp
Fresh & delicious! Service is attentive & friendly. The beef ribs were very tender & juicy, with extra barbacoa to make tacos as it comes with tortillas on the side. Very filling but plenty to see in Willow Glenn to walk it off.

Yelp
The food is absolutely amazing. We have been several times now and can highly recommend the Sunday taco special, the nachos and the ribs. Generous portions and absolutely amazing textures and flavors. It is counter service but they do bring your order to the table and check in frequently. You absolutely feel the food truck vibe that is their origin story. If you like it hot, try the NAR sauce. I'm not even going to try to describe it. My son and I went back for extra portions. Oh, that innocent looking green pepper that comes with each entree - it's not so innocent. The Kids Quesadillas are an adult meal anyplace else. It is not a place for large groups. Ideally suited for family dining. 3 adults was about $70 out the door.

Yelp
Enchiladas Authenticas with chicken - 5/5. It was packed with flavors and the chicken was super succulent. Tortilla chips and salsa - 5/5. Fresh, flavorful and complimentary. Super Burrito - 4/5. Flavorful and huge! My only issue was that the chicken was not spread properly in the two halves of the burrito. While one half had almost nothing, the other half had decent amount. Service - 5/5. You order at the counter, pay for it and seat yourself. The food will be served promptly to your table. Pretty quick service. Nice, clean ambiance.

Yelp
Amazing Halal carne asadas and Birria. Nothing else to say. Well done! Orale habibi was the best part :D

Yelp
I came here late on a Tuesday evening. It was within an hour to closing time. I was able to find parking directly across the street (very lucky) and there wasn't a line to order (surprising). Food: I ordered (3) of the vegetarian squash and kale tacos. They were very good. I would definitely order them again. My friends tried a quesadilla and their pollo a pastor. They enjoyed their meals. Though my friend said she missed the pork in her a pastor. Service: Service was quick and friendly. We ordered our food at the counter, and it wasn't too long until our food was at our table. TL;DR - can get busy & parking can get tight, but good food

Yelp
After we picked up my son up from the Flixbus in San Jose, we were hungry and were looking for somewhere nearby. We checked Yelp and found an interesting sounding place, Halal Amigos (bonus is that Susie Cakes is across the street, but that's a separate review). Ambiance and Service are subpar. The inside is very cramped with REALLY loud music, as in you have to almost yell to have a conversation, and the staff are indifferent to almost unfriendly. Parking is tough to find, so expect to circle around and/or walk. Food (including Nar sauce) is the sole reason for the 4-star review. Burrito Super - carne asada was delicious, tender, but with a juicy, almost citrusy twist. NAR-cho Burrito - same yummy carne asada with nacho twist was great with Nar Sauce. Taco plate - carne asada tacos, beans were very good, rice was a little too greasy though. Nar sauce is AMAZING! Perfect edge of heat and freshness, and if I'm honest, probably the reason we'll come back. It's distinctive and deliciously spicy like La Victoria Taqueria's orange sauce in SJ.

Yelp
Three taco plate comes with rice and beans and is $16 but an up charge of $1 for carne asada Best item was the barbacoa taco then Mexican rice was very flavorful too. Green salsa also nice and mild. Highly recommend these 5/5 Carne asada taco had relatively bland meat and were very small cut up bits, only a 3/5 here and the red salsa was not spicy as I hoped and a little smoky flavor only Butternut squash kale taco fairly tasty and unique 4/5 but go for the meat (barbacoa) instead Ample inside and outside seating. Nice murals on interior
