The 17 Best Restaurants In Condesa

"This step-above-casual spot is hands down one of the best Lebanese restaurants in Mexico City. Their dishes are traditional with a modern twist. Prioritize the kibbeh al carbón, tender ground beef with onion and nuts, served with rice and spices—it’s perfect for sharing and even better with a glass of rosé. While the inside dining room is quieter, we like to prioritize a seat on the always-packed terrace, which has a view of tree-lined Avenida Amsterdam." - guillaume guevara

Everything about this place is just amazing! The atmosphere the Arabic songs specifically in the mornings the trees and greens everywhere. I had a short stay at Mexico City and I visited this place twice once for dinner and other time for breakfast and the food was just yummy! Best breakfast I had in a very long time! Highly recommend.

Authentic and delicious Lebanese food! My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at El Jamil while visiting from the US. As a Lebanese-American, who has dined in Lebanon and with my family in the US, I will vouch that this is AUTHENTIC Lebanese food. To start, we had hummus, stuffed grape leaves, and kibbeh nayeh (raw meat with bulgur and spices). The hummus was creamy and flavorful and very obviously made using a family recipe (this was my wife’s favorite appetizer). The grape leaves were well stuffed and delicious. The kibbeh was FRESH and, for me, the star of the appetizers (if you like tartare, you’ll love kibbeh). For our entrees, we had the chicken shawarma (garnished Lebanese style with toum, pickles, and fries) and grilled lamb kafta (meat skewers). The entrees were cooked to perfection and very flavor. All of this was served with piping hot pita bread and the portions were great. El Jamil’s staff was friendly and helpful, and their service was top notch. Additionally, they offered an English menu which made ordering a breeze. The restaurant was clean and stylish and the ambiance was bolstered by Lebanese music playing in the background. We will return to El Jamil on our next trip to CDMX and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great Lebanese meal.

I’m visiting Mexico straight from Lebanon, and after a few days of sightseeing and trying new things, I was seriously craving something from home, some real Lebanese food and a good shisha. I found this place through the reviews and thought it might be decent… but it honestly blew me away. The food was super authentic. I felt like I was back home. Everything from the flavors to the vibe was spot on. The service was amazing too, and the staff and owners were genuinely friendly and welcoming. And as a double apple fan, I’ve got to say this is the best and most authentic shisha I’ve had outside Lebanon. Highly recommend this spot to anyone missing home or just wanting a real taste of Lebanon while in Mexico

Nice place The kebab was juicy just missing some salt , The hummus with meat was tasty But I liked the kibbe the most , Only thing with the shawarma was chewy

Google
Always pass by this place but decided to stop by. Usually people are dressed really nice here and seem like they're on business or something. The plates are a bit expensive but it's worth it! Good presentation, healthy, and nice flavor! I ordered the goat sandwich.

Google
I'm not sure how anyone legitimately gave 1 star and raised questions around authenticity of flavours. By far the best Lebanese we've had in MX. Coming from Sydney, with many Lebanese friends, as well as visiting Lebanon 10 years ago, El Jamil should be on your list if you like Lebanese and you're in CDMX. The raw meats were high qaulity, perfect fat content and well seasoned. Fresh, unlimited pita for every bit of your meal, who doesn't love that?! The tabbouleh was yummy, the lamb was sensational, the garlic sauce light and fluffy yet full of flavour. Smokey baba ghanouj, yummy olives, delicious pickles. The cocktails were well made, timely service, friendly staff. It was a really nice all around meal. We will be back! I can tell you, i left stuffed and knew we were safe from vampires. Thanks for having us

Google
El Jamil is a standout spot for authentic Lebanese food in Mexico City. Warm hospitality, rich flavors, and perfectly prepared classics like hummus, falafel, and grilled meats make every visit a treat. A cozy, delicious escape to the Levant — highly recommended.

Amazing Lebanese food. After eating Mexican food all week started missing home cooked Lebanese food and stumbled on this restaurant. Felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. Everything we ordered was amazing. The service was excellent. The ambience was like a traditional Arabic restaurant.

Yelp
Went here after having trouble deciding what to eat. Service was great! Food got to our tables very fast. We sat outside, and it was lovely seeing the sage green color all around us. The food was yummy! We tried a bunch of things, but the cauliflower and hummus were the stand outs! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My friends and I had dinner here on a Friday night and were able to be seated right away. They have menus in Spanish and English. I ordered the Lebanese chorizo. My friends ordered hummus, meatballs , tabouli salad and a variety of other dishes. Endless bread was delivered to our tables.

Yelp

Yelp
Great Lebanese restaurant! Their food is pretty good considering that we're in Mexico, it's a little overpriced but it works if you go with other people to order and share everything, their pita bread is good and home made, the service is great, not much to say about it!

Yelp
The location and ambience of this restaurant was perfect. We stumbled here by chanse and I am very glad we stayed. The food and service was excellent. We ordered the Baba Ghanouj, Labne, Falafel, and Sambusik Jebneh. It also came with a side of freshly baked Flatbread to pair with the Baba Ghanouj and Labne. I will for sure be comming back to this place when I come back to Mexico City in the future.

Yelp
La ubicación de este restaurante es muy buena en la Colonia Condesa. Pedimos Baba Ghanouj, Labne, Falafel y Sambusik Jebneh lo cual estuvo muy rico y porciones suficientes, el servicio muy bueno también. This is a nice restaurant in La Condesa, México City. We ate Baba Ghanouj, Labne, Falafel y Sambusik Jebneh and all was so good, the service was good too

Yelp
I've been craving labneh for a while and this place didn't disappoint! Also really enjoyed the chicken shawarma taco and the complementary pita. Beautiful ambience as well. Prices are also very reasonable, I think this is more of a $$ than $$$.

Yelp
We decided to try El Jamil again on a recent trip and we're happy to now give them 5 stars. All of the issues we commented on in the first review seem to have been addressed and then some. Wonderful location, attentive staff and service, and excellent food.

Yelp
I was super impressed by this place. Their chicken shawarma and hummus were perrrrfect. I ordered hummus with lamb, and it was not what I had anticipated. Still the hummus was exceptional (I would skip the lamb next time). Their baklava was rich and scrumptious. Love! Love! Love! This place in CDMX.

Yelp
good quality, missing some elements for truly authentic flavor (such as lebanese pickles in falafel sandwich). will try again!

Yelp
We were thrilled when we first heard about Merkava with all of the sleek styling etc...while we had a good meal there, several nights later we found El Jamil and it blows Merkava out of the water. Come here for true Lebanese inspired dishes....The hummus is the PERFECT consistency and the kibbe are crisp and flavorful. The piping hot + fresh pita is far superior to others in town because of a bit of added char. The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious and the prices are very reasonable.
