EL MENEO RESTAURANT & LOUNGE

I have never been into this restaurant before, and I am always looking to try something new. It was outstanding! The food was fresh and delicious. I loved the sauces they give you to accompany the meal as well as the pickled veggies. They also decorated for Halloween, which was amazing. Excellent service, and excellent management. The owners came over and introduced themselves and checked on me. Highly recommend, you guys gotta check this place out!

Definitely a hole in the wall! I came with family to try Guatemalan food and the servers, especially Jorge, were so kind and attentive to explain us the dishes and menu, and even offered to show on their TVs scenic images of Guatemala. The ambiance was family friendly and will definitely come again! Also their tortillas were so good.

Absolutely AMAZING food! Everything was delicious! We came for breakfast and had 2 Central American breakfasts and a chicken chuchito and fruit smoothie. Taste just like we were in Guatemala! Even that tortillas were made from scratch! The place is all decorated for Christmas and loved the authentic atmosphere even down to the dishware. New favorite spot! Great service food came out quickly and Rigoberto and Marcela were very attentive and nice!

I was very surprised at the quality of the food and service I received here. I took my family to eat lunch here and we were all surprised and happy with our experience here. Truly authentic Guatemalan food and delicious. Our server was Jorge and he was very kind to us and knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. They use iPads for the menu and it’s very detailed with pictures and easy to use. They played marimba music and the restaurant was very clean and well designed with Fall theme. I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Guatemalan experience.

Maria was the best. The service from her was outsmarting and she was a pleasure to talk to theroughout the night. The food was very good and when you walk through those doors you are treated like family. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good food spot in the area.

Arrived in the early afternoon with my kids and my sister's family. A perfect moment as the place was almost empty so my loud kids didn't annoy surrounding visitors. The servers were very kind and attentive to all our needs. The menu is vast and many options. I have to say that every single thing we ordered was delicious. Shout out to the chefs! True Guatemalan flavor. For family friendly environment, lunch or early dinner is the best option. We will definitely be back.

We have visited this Guatemalan restaurant three times now, and every single experience has been amazing. The food is absolutely delicious full of authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. You can really taste the love and tradition in every dish. The service is just as wonderful. The staff is warm, friendly, and attentive, making you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. Each visit has been consistent, which says a lot about the quality and care they put into their restaurant. We will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and excellent service

First time dining here and the ambience was welcoming. Food was yummy and moderately priced. Authentic Guatemalan food with good portion sizes. It had the holiday spirit in full effect. Ordered 2 pina coladas and they had the total vibe except it tasted like a milk shake. Little to no alcohol. Not looking to get hammered but to atleast have a flavor of a splash of rum, it just wasn't there. Service was average to slow, but overall very friendly people. Would come back if in the area and if we're looking for home cooked, tasty Latin flavors.

El Meneo serves Guatemalan and other Latin food. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and inviting. Our server Jorge was friendly and very helpful. I had the churrasco steak; soft enough to cut with a butter knife. I chose a Russian salad as one of the two sides. I was being adventurous because I didn't know what it was. It is potato salad with small pieces of potato, peas and green beans with mayo; very tasty. My daughter and I also had pupusas for an appetizer. Jorge explained that pupusas originate from El Salvador. Excellent. My daughter had a classic Guatemalan dish called Pollo en Pepian. Nicely seasoned, almost like a soup that comes in a large bowl. We enjoyed our time at El Meneo very much and look forward to coming back to try more menu items. I had come here for breakfast several months ago, but this was my first time for dinner. Thanks to Jorge for being an excellent ambassador for Guatemala and El Meneo.

I absolutely love the food at this restaurant! My favorites are the guacamole and chips, churrasco steak and shrimp tacos. Best of all the food is all homemade (love those corn tortillas!).

Food is always excellent the service is top notch eat in or takeout never disappoints!

I loved this place and would take my Dad all the time, until yesterday, the place wasn't even busy when we got there and we ordered soups, it took them 1 hour to serve the soups and the waitress didn't even come to our table once to refill our cups with water. A quick lunch turned out to be a 2 hour of horrible service and wait. Very upset it got this bad, we were not the only ones complaining. Will not be going back.

Excellent food and service! We had a salad, pupusas and carne adoba with rice and beans. Everything very fresh. Good selection of beers and nice atmosphere. Friendly place. Will visit again soon. 5 stars!

Cold beer and a live band on Saturday night! Cool and interesting people. Joey the bartender is the bomb.
