The 38 Best Restaurants in Mexico City | Eater

"El Minutito is a small, Italian-inspired coffee shop that moonlights as a wine bar after dark. Located just a few steps from Plaza Washington in the Juarez neighborhood, the business focuses on the social aspects of European coffee culture; the place has no seating — except a tiny bench on the sidewalk — instead encouraging customers to stand at the bar (and discouraging remote workers setting up shop with their laptops and phones). It makes for an intimate space to start the morning with caffeine, a croissant, or a grilled cheese sandwich. Once the sun sets, the bar kicks in, offering aperitivos, espresso martinis, vermouth, and natural wine. Best for: El Minutito has become a social epicenter of the Juárez neighborhood, so expect fun people watching." - Natalia de la Rosa

The Hit List: New Mexico City Restaurants To Try Right Now

"If you’re looking to have a quick, light bite in a design-y space, the road leads to Minutito. It’s a Spanish-style coffee and tapas bar, serving everything from smooth cortados (Oatly is on hand) to fig kombuchas. For breakfast, zero in on their incredible baked goods like the banana bread. At 5pm, the vibe shifts to a lively tapas bar with a menu of things like manchego and jamón, which you can pair with Hercules beer or an espresso martini. Adding to the charm of it all are ’80s and ’90s hits from Julio Iglesias and Juan Gabriel playing in the background, and a VW van parked outside that doubles as a “terrace seat.”" - guillaume guevara

This is a lovely little cafe with great coffee, yummy burnt cheesecake, nice service and a retro vibe. If you need to take a break from sightseeing and you are nearby, definitely drop in.

Excellent place, if you blink you’ll miss it. The place is small, it has some tables on the sidewalk but you should go in and sit by the bar or stand in the back wall bar. There are a lot of small decor pieces around the place that catch your eye The coffee is really good and they also have a good selection of liquors. The food is pre cooked and they just give the finishing touches in the bar, so you should arrive early to get the full list of sandwiches because they run out. They also have a good selection of tapas or rations for the afternoon drinks and a lot of pastries and cakes. The staff was really friendly.

Café bar with a classic look. The inside area is counter standing style, and there are chairs outside (plus a vintage van transformed into a fun group table). The hot chocolate was okay (bonus points for the adorable bunny design) and the cheesecake was tasty.

I've visited Minutito Café several times now, so I feel ready to share my thoughts. This is a solid and impressive spot with a trendy vibe that lives up to its reputation. The menu may be small, but every item is executed with precision and care. The café's concept is fantastic, offering a charming vintage atmosphere with unique items. The bar serves coffee and sandwiches during the day and transitions to drinks at night, making it a versatile choice for any time of day. Overall, I really enjoy this place. However, the prices are a bit high compared to the numerous solid options just a few meters away on Washington Place, which boasts many famous pastry and coffee shops. That said, the prices here aren't outrageous. The service is generally good, although it can be a bit slow at times.
