The Cheapest Coladas In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"We probably don’t need to explain Palacio De Los Jugos to you. But oddly enough, we found that pretty much all of Miami’s Palacio locations have different colada prices. The one at SW 16th & 27th Ave serves the cheapest. Bring cash because there’s a $5 minimum on cards." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

Palacio De Los Jugos 16th Street - Review - Coral Way - Miami - The Infatuation

"Every Palacio is a little different. What separates this one from the rest is the price of their colada. It’s just $1.50 (in cash), which is unheard of in today’s Cuban coffee economy. But you should also walk out of here with chicharrones. They’re as irresistible as a sheet of bubble wrap, and just as noisy. Like all Palacios, the food at this location is reliable and affordable. You’ll leave with a styrofoam box overflowing with yuca, arroz con pollo, and lechon for about $15. video credit: Virginia Otazo photo credit: Virginia Otazo video credit: Virginia Otazo Pause Unmute" - Virginia Otazo

13 South Florida Tourist Traps That Are Actually Good

"Translated from Spanish El Palacio de los Jugos means “the palace of the juices.” It’s a nod to all the drinks made on-site from local tropical fruits like mamey, maracuya (passion fruit), and guayaba. But there’s plenty more here, like large portions of Cuban classics like chicharrones (fried pork), sandwiches, rice dishes, and sweets. At the same time, it can be daunting to order, as there are multiple counters with different vendors; diners simply need to travel from one spot to another, picking and paying for what they’d like before enjoying their budget-friendly meal." - Alona Martinez

Walking into El Palacio de los Jugos was an immediate immersion into a vibrant, bustling world of incredible aromas and lively energy. The atmosphere truly buzzes with excitement, and it’s clear this isn't just a restaurant, but a cultural experience. The sheer variety of food on display is astounding; it genuinely took me a good 5 to 10 minutes just to navigate through the friendly crowd and take it all in. Everything looked incredibly fresh and utterly delicious, making it wonderfully difficult to choose! I opted for one of their authentic Latin dishes, and the portion was incredibly generous. The oxtail was a standout – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. And the pineapple juice? Absolutely divine. It’s clear why people keep coming back for it; I certainly couldn’t get enough! While the place can get a bit chaotic with numbers being called and the general lively noise, it only adds to the authentic charm. The staff, despite the busy environment and occasional language barrier (lots of friendly pointing happened!), were genuinely helpful and pleasant. It felt like a true taste of Miami, offering not just great food but genuine hospitality. I'll definitely be making this a regular stop!

This place is filled with aroma and the atmosphere is buzzing. Food is everywhere and everything looks so delicious. It’s hard to choose. You need at least 5 to 10 minutes to push through the crowd to see all of the food displays. Then, you have to back and see what you like. They do offer samples of you are curious. There is spacious outdoor seating, but there is a mild amount of flies that may join you. They weren’t too bad. The folks serving the food don’t speak a lot of English and it can be hard to hear over the noise from the other people there, so there was a lot of pointing lol.

Google
Big fan of this location even that I do travel from Sunny Isles Beach to buy their food,so I guess I should have the right to point out the lately lacking of customer service. I’m aware of the rough neighborhood and characters that go there. Please a little training to the girls behind the counter wouldn’t hurt. The take a number device should be more visible to others as well and staff should keep it up on target and to ensure is in order to call the on cue number.

Google
There was literal mold in my pork. The pork looked propped and full as if it was fresh, with onions to decorate the top of the tray and all, but it didn’t taste fresh but I brushed it off thinking maybe it just came out dry but fresh until I saw this piece of pork and I wanted to die..I’ve never been to this location before and sure as hell I’m not going back. Someone told me they grab whatever couldn’t be sold, and put it back up for sale and prop it like if it just came out, not sure if I believe that 100% but I sure wouldn’t be surprised. The ladies seemed nice, but there were no more numbers to pull from so everyone was just everywhere a little chaotic but the ladies were helpful unlike other palacio de los jugos with bad attitudes. I’m never going back though. Just ew.

Google
The pork skins are a 10 out of 10 . Milkshake was delicious! Tamales Chef's Kiss!! Everything was so clean. Was headed to our flight so we didn't get too much but had to try before we left❤️

The best service, hospitality, Adrian the manager served our delicious pineapple juice which my wife and I cannot get away from. We come at least 3 times a week not only for the juice but their service. 5 stars Viva Miami y el palacio de loa jugos

Google
Cool place for sure!!! Definitely a different type of restaurant then I was thinking. They have a few different vendors and the food is already prepared so it's fast. My food was good although it was not hot or fresh, but I liked it. The only thing I had a problem with was I tried to talk to 3 different women and NONE of them spoke ANY English and I don't speak Spanish. Other then that cheap food, taste good and in and out quickly.

Google
If you want some authentic Latin food dishes, where you go. This place is a little bit chaotic. You have to pull a ticket and then someone will serve you after the number is called. They have a lot of food there to choose from the lady who helped us was very nice. We got the oxtail and I believe my husband got either a pig or beef. Both meals were great and you get so much food.

Yelp
Palacio de los jugos is a 305 staple found all throughout Miami. If you're looking for big portions for a good price then you have to give this spot a try. The variety of prepared Cuban/latin dishes are limitless -- everything from snapper fish and oxtail to rice and beans and pan con bistec and of course with a side of jugitos to satisfy the soul. Food is paid by the weight, which is a great concept you don't really find in Miami anymore. All the juices and smoothies are made from scratch with fresh fruit. I always laugh when I see the sign because the concept is so iconic for Miami's local community. It's definitely a spot worth trying!

Yelp
After 20 some years living in Miami, I am no longer a Palacio virgin! We went on our lunch break from work. What a variety of fresh food, difficult to make choices. And the portions are huge. I guess for the meat counter you need to get a ticket and wait in line. The fish counter is not so formal. I saw one customer walk up and get his order, so I followed. I had the lamb shank in sauce, almost as good as what I cook at home, so tender. I chose "a litte" rice and yucca. The servings would feed a small family. I forget what my friends had - milenesa and other delicious food. I'm hooked.

Yelp
Another establishment that will go back to is this place! Lots of options to choose from! From seafood to lechon to chicarones and lots of juice options! I enjoyed my lechon, chicharones, cortadito, beans and yucca. Definitely a must. It's a bit of a drive from Miami Beach, but it's worth the drive. They open late too! Lots of seats everywhere. Staff are also friendly and will take their time explaining things to you. Make sure you pick up a number when you get in!

Yelp

Yelp
Palacio I miss your food and jugos. Let me start by saying you'll have endless options. Camarones, pescado, lechón you name it. The ladies are helpful I didn't know how to order so I simply asked. I'm fluent in Spanish so I enjoyed ordering en español Mami. I was called Corazón y Mi Amor puro respeto the ladies will take care of helping you with your food order. I recommend Maduro over tostones though. I'll be back. Muchas gracias Señoras por su bienvenida y ayuda. My Hubby and Son loved the different food items especially los jugos. We need you in California.

Yelp
This place is busting with people in and out at all times. Parking is limited, but you can definitely find a quick place to park then grab a plate to-go. If you want fresh juice-inside on the right will be where your headed to with a variety of fresh juices listed on a billboard. Want a bang for your buck?- This place will be similar to a Cuban/Latin American cafeteria mall food. Grab a meat dishes paired with all the sides you want: fufu, rice, tostones, maduros, beans, yucca, etc. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Outside will have a cafe where you can get Cuban coffee or pastilles to go. Don't want a huge plate, but a Cuban sandwich. They got you! Come check it out!

Yelp
This is the "Manhattan deli" of Florida. The juice is off the charts and this particular location has a large cool outdoor seating area. Here I had the Mango. Which I think in retrospect I shouldn't have -- you can get that anywhere. The Mamey was a nice treat for a Northerner like myself. I also had the oxtail (amazing), the paella (amazing), the chicken and rice (good), and the bombas. If I go back I want to try the fish!

Yelp
This place is HUGE. I love all of their locations and I've been here since I was little. They always give you a huge plate full of everything for such a cheap price. I always bring my non-Hispanic friends here when I go to Miami and they're always so surprised at how much they give us for so little! Delicious!!! Extremely clean place compared to most and the service is fast and they are on top of things.

Yelp
Great place. Their smoothies are incredible, fresh and made of Whole Foods. What I love is there lunch items, great hot foods, prices are fair for the amount of good they give you. It's generous amounts, go in there and get some delicious eats
google avatar

Diane M.

Yelp
Wow Let me tell you this cafeteria type place is incredible. Each station you must pay for your stuff so u might end up having 4 different transactions. The other thing was the language barrier. Thank god my daughter was with me or I might've gotten something different cause they didn't understand my English. Rice and beans, pulled pork, spare ribs and fried pork skin ! Everything was fantastic. My only complaint was the lack of help. I understand it's a specialty place with authentic Cuban food, but people who are exploring this area want to experience the food too. It's a shame that such great food was met with a lack of patience for those who don't speak Spanish ! I would go again and brush up on my Spanish !

Yelp
Great place! So many choices and everything we tried was absolutely amazing. Croqueta preparada was out of this world! Café delicioso. Freshly prepared juices. Highly recomendado! Puro sabor latino.

Yelp
Hits the spot every time. If you want authentic Cuban food made from Abuela this is your place. Massive portions and the flavors from home. Several locations around Miami, you won't miss a beat.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
I love this place. I've been to a few of the different locations. This one is a little smaller than the other one I went to But they still have many of the same things. At this one you do have to pay at each counter separately, you can't ring all the different counters up together like you can at some of the other locations. I think they're each ran by different businesses. But at any rate, the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Order a pan con bisted, and had the worse pan con bisted, not sure if they had left the meat out or it was defrost on the microwave, but that meat was so damn nasty, got home had to throw away the meat and fried my own meat bread and everything Eskisehir was good. No seasoning so the taste of microwave meat was there. This is what happens when their small everything is good, but once it grows, everything starts to change.Pan Con Bistec. I have been eating from Pala iOS de los jugos since they started

Yelp
El Palacio has an impressive selection of Cuban food, fruit juices, and desserts! After hearing some good reviews, I decided to stop by this location for an early weekend lunch. There are a handful of tables outside for you to eat, but all meals are packaged in to-go containers. From chicharrones, ropa vieja, tostones -- they really have everything. My friend and I both got ropa vieja plates with yuca and mojo rice, as well as a couple croquetas. I'm not an expert with Cuban food, but I would highly recommend for the tenderness and flavor profile of the meat. The serving sizes are very generous; you'll have enough leftovers for another light meal. Our total for the food came out to $35 - $40. I also had their mango smoothie/juice, which was very sweet and refreshing. I'd like to try something else, but you aren't allowed to mix flavors!

Yelp
I visited this location after a while, what a surprise when I got home with the food. They increased the price for the most common food they have wich is congri(rice with black beans), shredded pork and boiled yuca. I know everything is more expensive now, but if they're increasing the price, at least they should keep the quality of the food!! The congri was mostly rice and a few grains of beans, it had color cause of a substance they used to colored the rice, what a dissatisfaction I had today. About the pork and the yuca I can't complain, they gave a good amount and it was delicious, but honestly, they should reconsider how they're making the congri!! Ijust give one star to the congri

Anais S.

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars I would I'm not usually want to review, but I did look at the yelp reviews before I came here and they were great. I left and unsatisfied customer because much. The customer service was not up to part. The food was cold and dry. My chicken was hard as a rock and unedible

Yelp
I came searching for tropical fruits, but I stayed for the tropical fruit juices. Covid-19: this is an open air style market place, so it's outside but with a roof. Unfortunately, they don't really have much of a variety of fresh fruit. There certainly weren't any of the exotic tropical fruits I was looking for. We got some juice which we loved. We tried passion fruit and guanabana and both were fantastic. I've loved passion fruit for quite some time, but I discovered guanabana in Miami. If you haven't had it, you should really try it. They also have food which we didn't try. I would definitely come here for their juices again.

Yelp
What can go wrong in miami with a colada, a Cuban sandwich and a guava pastelitos. I would said nothing and never, but not in this place . I stopped by Saturday morning for breakfast. The coffee tasted like burned and had some sediments in the bottom. The sandwich did not have the pork, the ham was sliced SUPER thick, barely had cheese and the bread was not toasted. The pastelitos were mushy . I usually visit others palacio de los jugos and they are pretty consistent but here is another story .

Yelp
Racist staff....only give good service to their own....I come and compromise even when they don't speak English and tip them, and they still treat me with no respect....
google avatar

Linna L.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW! This place serve some of the best cuban/latin food! My friends and I ordered through doordash. Although they gave us two wrong orders, the food was delicious! I ordered the oxtail but end up getting the chicken with salad and another side. I'm unsure what it was because it wasn't what I originally ordered but whatever it was... it was delicious. I also ordered the crispy pork... OMG it was bussin AKA so flavorful and the skin was chef's kiss! All my friends enjoyed their food. The portion was big and filling. I'd love to visit the actual restaurant next time. I'll definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
If you are Latin and missing food from back home this is a great place to come take care of those nostalgic cravings. It was my first time here and as soon as I walked in I could only go from display to display almost salivating, wanting to order a bit of everything. They are cafeteria style, with fruits, sandwiches, fresh fruit juices, and so many hot dishes like: ropa vieja, chicarron, roasted pork, fried rice, yuca, congri, fish, and more! Also there's refrigerators with ready to eat fruits, and desserts like: flan, tres leches, bunuelos... It was early in the morning, so we went with a couple of sandwiches - Media Noche and Pan con Bistec - both amazing and just as I remember them tasting from back home. Plus good size. We also got some ham croquetas - best ones I've had in a years! And, of course, juices - passion fruit and tamarind. Both fresh and delicious! The people there at the time I went only spoke Spanish but just by pointing and a bit of patient I'm sure everyone will be able to order, and believe me you will be happy you did!

Yellow L.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambience. I recommend brushing up on your Cuban Spanish before going. No one spoke English which made the experience even better.
google avatar

Krystalyn Laura R.

Yelp
I'm actually really disappointed to write this review because I was genuinely excited to try their food, but the restaurant cancelled my order on DoorDash since I had a discount on my order. I had a $6.44 discount on my order, and they refused to release my order to the DoorDash driver because it was more than a $5 discount. DoorDash was also no help in explaining this discount debacle. If you're going to try this place, perhaps go in person to avoid over an hour of time wasted waiting for your order (that they'll probably cancel on you if you have too much of a discount)
google avatar

Yelp
Never a bad meal! Cuban food the way it is supposed to be. You're never gonna find a better place at offers better portions for the money!
google avatar

Cherry L.

Yelp
Great place for dinner with affordable portions and huge portion sizes! My friends and I got the chicken heart, goat, and lamb shank and they were all good, I really liked the yucca as well. Another thing that was amazing about this place was the fruit and the smoothies! For $5 each we got the smoothie with beets (I think it was the kidney cleanse) and the mango vanilla. Mixed together they were delicious!

Yelp

Yelp
Perfect every time, huge portions, good prices. Has anything you could possibly want.

Yelp
"Wake Me Up Before Jugo Jugos" by George Miamichael You put Guayaba into my mouth (ooh ooh) It tastes so good and fruity that I have to cry out You put the Guanabana into my drink (yeah yeah) It's the only fruit here I don't like, I think But something's bugging me, something ain't right I had really angry service here last night Actually that's a different location, I'm out of my head I'm daydreaming, I should have come here instead! Wake Me Up Before Jugo, go Don't leave me waiting in the line in slow-mo Wake me up before Jugo, go And no, Los Cubanos are not all high Wake me up before Jugo, go Cuz I'm planning on a Jugo de Mango Wake me up before Jugo, go Make me jugos toniiiiiight.......... I want a sugar hiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh... yeah, yeah - RIP, GKP It's a local chain, and this was the first of many locations that I tried, and is probably my favourite, although product-wise, they're all freaking amazing. But because of the nice service here, the friendly cat that I found and fed here (who looked like Thaddeus), and the fact that it took my Palacio cherry, this one is my numero uno. What to get: Cuban Drinks and Flan... especially Guayaba or Pina or Sugar Cane drinks What not to get: Mark Cuban What would be terrible for Pool players: A Cue Ban What would be terrible for Rubick's: A Cube Ban What would be terrible for the CIA: A Coup Ban What would be terrible for Cuban motorists: A Coupe Ban What would be terrible for Pigeons: A Coo Ban What would be terrible for cat owners: A Maine Coon Ban What would be terrible for me, since I date Barbie: A Cuteness Ban What would be terrible for Latin Exterminators: A Cucaracha Ban What would be terrible for this review: For me to keep going with this What can one say about Palacio. Miami is a Cuban town, and this is a Cuban juice and food shop, and you might even say this is *the* Cuban juice and food shop... especially the juice part. One of the true gems of Miami, this is a place that has good food and good desserts, for sure, and sometimes those are the most popular items, such as the indomitable homemade Flans... but the real strength is the juice, which is what started it all, and which is why I'm so addicted. So these juices then. Or Jugos as they say, or Sucos as the Brazilians say. They're Cuban style juices, very similar to Latin American juices (like you might get in Colombia, Mexico, and so on), similar to Brazilian Sucos as I said. Every drop is delicious for most flavours - especially in the guava flavor, aka Guayaba. But the sugar cane drink, and of course mango and many others are absolutely wonderful as well. However for me, nothing tastes as good as the guava with water rather than milk. I always get them with water. If there's one I'd say I'd avoid, it's the Passion Fruit, aka Maracuya/Maracuja, which is sometimes pre-made into a concentrate-like liquid juice rather than fresh blended for you. They're cheap and wonderful and even have good service at some locations, such as this one. Indeed, the service here was not bad, or amazing compared to some of the other angry Palacio locations, and the adorable little cats that wander around outside break my heart. Traffic at this location is really bad so watch out, but the products are very well worth it. I'm embarrassed that Alex L of Buffalo fame came here before I did... but in my defence, I did tell him to because I'd seen it online and was excited about it. When you're in Miami then, try the "famous five", which are my 5 fave Cuban places in town. Palacio De Jugos for a Guava Jugo. Juana La Cubana for Vaca Frita. Papo Llega Y Pon for their famous sandwich. Azucar for Guava Ice Cream. And this place. Most definitely... this place. Also hit up Pinolandia and Fritanga Cana Brava for Nicaraguan Carne Asada, and Naomi's for Haitian. And if you ony go to one place for juice in Miami... Jugo here. And as I always say: First one drink disappears, then TWO GOS Don't just come once, no, have a FEW GOS Cause for Guava or Pina I've truly never seen a Better shop than El Palacio De Los JUGOS

Michelle L.

Yelp
Wow! This place left me speechless! I got soooo much food for cheap! And GOOD food! We got a little bit of everything! Everything was delicious! The best part is the fruit and fresh smoothies!
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Went by this place today for a juice. I was treated poorly by staff and observed a male employee at the juice window scratching himself inside of his pants (buttocks area) and then hand customers coffee and make other customers their coffee. He never washed his hands or used any hand sanitizer. He was also not wearing gloves. Needless to say, I left.

Yelp
Best pork chop I ever had in my LIFE!!!. Tasted like it was smoked for hours and then fried. I dont know if thats true but thats how it tasted. The rice was perfectly seasoned and moist. The drinks were on point and so are the prices. Helps if you speak Spanish otherwise you're just going to be pointing. I have to go back everytime I go back to Miami. I can't stop thinking about this place, thats how good the food is. And get the vanilla custard and the fresh pressed juices.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
A staple to go to el palacio de Los jugos! This spot is a little smaller but has all the Cuban take out needs you want. I had the quatres leches which was a bit sweet (prefer trees leches) and the juices are wonderful. I've had the food here multiple times and the chicharrones are a must have. They have some seats to dine outdoors if you can't resist eating at home
google avatar

Owen T.

Yelp
No English, only Spanish. Yes, this can tell you how authentic is their Cuban food and so you must try it in Miami! Cheap, quality authentic Cuban food - El Palacio is your best choice. They a HUGE selections of food available here and they are all so good. You will be pleasantly surprised if it is your first time visiting it. The food was appealing and separated by category. Prices were not apparent, but they are very generous with the amount of food for the amount that you pay. We chose a rice with 2 sides and I believe that is how most of the people order. All the fried rice are good. I chose the chicharones and yuca. It is deep fried pig belly that they stick in a paper bag and as I have heard you can eat it like popcorn! It is indeed a little greasy, but nice and crispy. You don't eat this everyday! The oil is evident on the bag but hey you only live once. The food is placed in a styrofoam take out container and you choose a starch, rice and beans or plantains or yucca, choose a meat and/ or choose a vegetable (in fact, rarely sighted). There are just too many choices and I have to come back several times in order to try most of them. I also ordered a tamales. My friend and I (2 of us) shared the food and we could not even finish it. We were extremely stuffed satisfied with the food. There is also a dessert area and fresh juices (jugos) which add to your meal. Dining area is all out doors but shaded. If you are visiting Miami and trying Cuban food for the first time, this is the safe option, their food is way much better than most of the tourist restaurants. If you are craving for rice and beans or plantains, the staples of the Cuban people, come here!

Honey B.

Yelp
I wanted to try Cuban food, and seeing this on DAVID'S BEEN HERE, I thought I would give it a try. This is caferia style ordering and cash only. Everything is in Spanish, and you have to ask someone how the ordering works. The workers spoke minimal English, but I was able to get my food order in. I had the chicharon, pork stew, plantains, rice, and beans. My honey had the cuban sandwich that he had to order on the other side. It's confusing, but we got through it. The portions are huge for my plate, but unfortunately, I only enjoyed the plantains, and my honey, who told them no mayo twice, still got mayo on his sandwich. We had the guava and lemonade juice. The lemonade tasted like pinesol, but the guava was good.

Lila P.

Yelp
Know your Spanish because thats all there is. The juices and sandiches we got were made right in front of you. Amazing food and experience! I would definitely come back here when returning to Miami.

Yelp
Great food and service! It was our first time trying their food, drinks and desert, while on vacation. Will highly recommend this place:)

Yelp
When I have family in town that are adventurous and want a taste of Miami, I take them to El Palacio. When I have driving through town and some friends want a tasty bit and Miami vibe, I take them to Palacio. Last weekend when my gal wanted a Cuban bite and I wanted a fruit juice, we went to El Palacio de los Jugos. I was very glad we did as soon as we walked in. The glass stalls of food with steam coming off them smelled so good. On all sides as you walk in there is rice beans croquetas chicarron y mucho mas! we soaked up the moment honestly. it was a slow hour so we didn't have to rush into the line. we looked and everything. I quickly started looking what juice I wanted though. I believe we settled on a passion fruit and a tamarind. both were perfect for any occasion, but it was particularly tatint that morning. We got a medianoche and Cuban steak sandwich to go that ended up perfect eating while making our drive south to the keys. I am always wanting to try a new spot, but sometimes it's good to go back to a place that always has the right thign going on. One of those places that's consistently awesome is El Palacio.

Yelp
My favorite place for Cuban food in Miami. A cafeteria styled restaurant with delicious & fresh Cuban eats. It's near the Miami airport, so I always bring visitors here. It never disappoints.

Yelp
We came here quickly wanting a decent plate of food but decided to grab a juice and go. It was packed and hardly any parking. Some people were not wearing a mask and there was no social distancing enforced. Some workers weren't even wearing masks correctly. Being that we had another appointment to get to I just bought a drink and got out of there. I know they have great good and drinks but for right now we just didnt feel safe enough.

Yelp
I tried the juices here. They have a number of tropical fruit flavors. (Coconut, Cantaloupe, mango, pineapple, mamey, guava, blackberry, maracuya, etc) The juices are a little too sweetened for my taste. They have a lot of food options, but I didn't get a chance to try. All very affordable (under $10) for a lot of food. Also has a parking lot.

Yelp
Ive been to Palacios multiple times growing up as a kid and as an adult as well. The food is always amazing and the service always very friendly and willing take care of you. You can get fresh squeeze juices or fresh hot foos that you can see they have so much variety but my favorite thing to get its a colada and Empanada. Pineapple juice is my favorite as well. Definitely recommended if you looking for a quick fast snack and or meal. Cheers

Yelp
It was about 8:30PM, and I needed something quickly. I saw from the yelp photos that this was more of a cafeteria-style place, so I decided to check it out. This place was also less than 5 minutes from my hotel, an added bonus! I asked for ropa vieja, but they were out. Instead, I chose something else by pointing. I think they were ribs braised in a stew (costillas de cerdo asadas?), but I am not sure. It did not matter. My dish was fantastic! For about ten dollars (credit card accepted), I was able to get an entree, rice, beans, and plantains. I was a happy camper. The flavor of the ribs (that's what I am going to call it) was spot on, and there was a lot of food. I had to tell the lady to stop putting food in my to-go container LOL! I do not speak Spanish, and the lady did not speak English. However, we communicated by pointing and use hand signals. She was very sweet. If I am in the area, I will be back!

Yelp
There are so many places like this in SW and food is usually reasonably priced and the portion is huge. So we decided to try this place. I didn't know each vendor is different and cooks different. I am not sure when we went, it was a late in the afternoon or something, they didn't have much food and selections. I didn't like anything they had in the display. So I decided to order the fried fish sandwich. It took a while to get my food but at least it was hot and fresh. However, they didn't put anything for sandwich and it was too plain. My husband's food was ok. They had a small sitting area outside but the location was a little scratchy and as soon as we finish our food, we left. I think we would go to the different El Palacio next time.

Yelp
Very affordable! They give you A LOT of food! Two people could eat off one plate. The food is AMAZING!!! Seating is limited and it is normally very busy.

Yelp
Unfortunately I have to give one starred I order an imperial rice for Christmas Eve , to my surprise when I served it it was mixed with ham so much that you could barely taste the chicken ,When I call to tell the manager Javier , he claims that he's been a cook for many years and they've always made that dish with ham . I explained that they should tell the customers because that was for a party and that maybe I could have had someone that was allergic to ham, he proceeded to tell me , that when you have an allergy you're supposed to tell them I agree but Imperial rice is made with chicken & yellow rice & cheese only & spices no ham, though they may use this method to save money , I believe the customers should warned that theirs is made with ham.

Yelp
At palacio de los jugos you can find a variety of foods with authentic cuban flavor. my favorite is the ropa vieja with white rice and tostones with a cuban tamale on the side. It's like having a taste of my grandmas cooking again. It is easily one of the best places to have lunch with a cheap plate that may feed you for lunch and dinner. You can't go wrong with coming here.

Yelp
If you're looking for greasy, authentic Cuban food.. this should be your spot! 1.5 meals for 2, $13. Stewed meat, yellow rice w pork bits, and maduros! They have a cafeteria-style set up and a huge selection of various proteins, rice mixtures, and sides. The biggest bang for your buck, attached to a bakery and juicery.

Yelp
You can choose to go to South Beach, but locals know this is the real Miami, where English is the second language! This is as authentic as it gets, far away from the tourist scene in the heart of alapatta. With so many options and foot traffic, it's great to have such helpful staff. What is most unbelievable is the price. So much food for so little bucks! At least 2 servings for no more than $10. (If you are the rare human that can eat it all in one serving, more power to you!) Things can seem a little overwhelming at "El palacios de los jogos" so here's a few tips: - There are four food stations. You can choose whatever you want at any given station, but you cannot mix and match food from different stations (unfortunate) - if you are not ready to order, don't stand too close to the glass, as you will be spotted and asked if you are ready to order - many of the staff does not speak English, but the pointing method will do just fine Out of many, the chicharrones is the stand out. Salty, crunchy, chewy, juicy, so many adjectives to describe one piece of meat! Worth the trip alone Note: seating is exclusively outdoors, via 2 outdoor patios which I would advise against. If you are reading this, it's probably hot. It's always hot. In Miami you get maybe a 2 week period where it's ok to sit outdoors minus shade for an extended period of time. You've been warned
