Comodo Brunch Review: This $25 Hotel Pambazo Sandwich Needs Work - Eater NY

"For a more astute Manhattan-based version of the Mexican sandwich, swing by El Pambazo Shop’s pop-up at the Bryant Park Winter Village, open until late March. There, cooks layer the pillowy bolillo with a more generous application of potatoes and chorizo. The hot, juicy meat practically screams with warming notes of chile and cinnamon — before a wave of iceberg and stretchy queso cools off the palate with a wallop of dairy and an uppercut of crunch. Cost: $14." - Ryan Sutton

Had the breakfast, braised beef and tinga pambazo. Highly recommended. The salsa and agua de jamaica were great too.

If you like boiled meat, bad customer service and long wait then go to El Pambazo. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else. This shouldn't be a Mexican place. It should be a Communist place, bad food, long lines...

We got the braised beef and the chicken sandwich. They were delicious and the service was great. We had dinner looking at the ice rink and was perfect!

Overpriced cold sandwich with soggy bread. All lettuce and tomato, no meat to be seen.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now over the years. I'm a vegetarian, and I think their vegetarian sandwich is incredible. It is messy (I would not eat this sandwich with people I didn't know well), but they know this and give you hand wipes and napkins. I have never waited very long for my sandwich, and I think the price is comparable to any other sandwich in the midtown area.

Yelp
The service was terrible! We went to the BOA Winter Village looking for the genuine NY Holiday experience, but got the nasty NY experience instead. When we complained to the young man who was serving us about how we were being charged more money for the same food items as the people who were in front of us his answer was he didn't give a F**k. Tell me why the White tourist family can order items off the menu but the dark Hispanic's have to pay the full price. And the manager who was standing right there wasn't any help either. Kayla, who refused to give me her last name did nothing to correct his behavior. Regarding the hot chocolate, don't waste your money. I've had better at Dunkin Donuts, and if it's churros you're after there are some Mexican vendors on the street that have better tasting and less expensive items for sale. The Winter Village is beautiful, take the time and visit at least once, but steer clear of this place. I'll be following up with Bryant Park Corp regarding this vendor.

Yelp
Delicious, tasty and well worth it! They have multiple pambazos to try aswell as pan dulce, nachos, and more. Great customer service! In the Lodge at Bryant Park

Yelp
There was literally no flavor in the brisket or even the Pambazo sauce it all tasted like cardboard.
