El Paraiso Mexican Kitchen Downtown Springfield

We LOVE this place! The food was amazing and authentic. I felt like we were in Cabo. I highly recommend the tequila burrito and the paradise plate especially if you love Mexican Seafood dishes. Our family felt like we had that home cooked Mexican meal. As a food critic I rarely give 5 stars but they earned every star. Give them a taste we will be family regulars. YUMMY!

This place use to be great. I loved the location in Stratford. I ordered the pineapple special. It came with two ribs on top. They were hard as a rock with no taste. The meats needed more seasoning and it was more veggies and pineapples than anything. The guacamole was mid at best. My sister and I were freezing the entire time. I would love to return if they went back to when they first opened.

This restaurant never disappoints. Service is great and the menu selection is huge. Definitely plenty of options to try out. Their prices are a bit higher than some other Mexican restaurants in town but they also have some unique items on their menu that you can’t find anywhere else. Highly recommend the raspberry margarita and carne asada entree.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Outstanding Service & Delicious Food! We visited El Paraiso Mexican Restaurant last week with a large group of 30 people, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate every single one of us. Their hospitality and attention to detail were truly impressive. We happened to go on Taco Tuesday, and the food did not disappoint. I had the chicken soft tacos, which were generously filled with juicy chicken, shredded cheese, and crisp lettuce. They were absolutely delicious, some of the best tacos I’ve had! The salsa was also outstanding; fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meal. We had such a great time that we returned the very next Tuesday with another group! Once again, everything was perfect. Victoria, our server on both nights, was exceptional. She was gracious, patient, and handled our large groups with a constant smile and effortless professionalism. Great service, amazing food, and a welcoming atmosphere made both visits truly memorable. Highly recommend El Paraiso – especially on Taco Tuesday!

We had fajitas and chile verde enchiladas. It was nothing special. Chips were good but the guacamole was disappointing. Odd texture and lacked flavor. It’s was slow time during our lunch and so was the service. I will say they had beautiful paintings they said were brought from Mexico. That was my favorite part.

Great food & service! My sister's bacon cheeseburger & fries even looked great, and she liked it. We ate a large bowl of chips with salsa & guacamole before our food came and everything was delicious 😋

Decided to try out this spot for the first time tonight. I will be a returning regular. Everything was 10/10. Pineapple margarita was best I've ever had. I got an appetizer, entree, and margarita for 40.00.

We had a great experience at El Paraiso! The margaritas and fajitas were delicious, the service was friendly and helpful, and the authentic Mexican atmosphere was fun and family-friendly. The menu had plenty of options for everyone, and the comfortable seating made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for a late dinner. Parking lot was huge no problem parking. Service was fast and quick for a Wednesday I felt. But the presentation was the best I've ever had and really the fish was perfect. Definitely give this place a try!

Amazing! This is the best Mexican food I've had since Los Angeles. The server was super attentive and the whole place gives an authentic vibe. I got the enchiladas verde and it was incredible. 5/5!

The food was okay, nothing really special. The salsa was bland, chips cold. The service was exceptional, very friendly. The ambiance was okay but nothing special. Go for lunch and don't stray from the menu as extras are expensive.

Came here around 830pm on a Saturday and it was not very busy but the food was great and the little outdoor patio was nice. House chips and salsa were tasty. We also ordered the shrimp stuffed jalapeños and tacos al pastor. Recommend!

Second location from original in Stratford, MO, it's where Lost Signal BrewCo was. New pretty cool looking interior design, superb bar /cocktail offerings, medium loud on Friday, huge menu and above avg Lumch Specials. Ordered house margarita; well balanced taste w/sweet orange overtone. Quesadilla, taco and flauta combo used tasty marinated meat mixed with green chilies overlayed with decent guac and perfect portion for one. For sure coming back, a superb addition to the intensely competitive Mexican food eateries.

A true Mexican restaurant! Their food is priced competitively compared to all Mexican cuisines here in Springfield. Service was great! The thing that stood out the most was the food, it was very authentic full of seasoning and flavors! Great place to go if you want Mexican food.

Being here in the middle of a Saturday, we had the place almost to ourselves. Our server was attentive, our food was brought out pretty quickly, the orders correct. The food was hot and flavorful. I was distracted by the shape of the chicken with my Pollo Mixteko - never had rectangular flattened chicken before. We have dined at their location in Strafford, we will be back to this location as it is closer to home.

The food was very good. I am allergic to onions and bell peppers so there was very few options but the steak quesadilla was very good. If we go back I will take my own salsa made with no onion.

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Springfield! As a happy coincidence, a friend and I ended up here for dinner before a show downtown and now it's the only Mexican I want. The menu is large-pretty much everything I have had has been delicious. They are so friendly and helpful for my husband with celiac disease--he can eat the chips!! They have a dedicated fryer and make chips fresh every day. The house margaritas are so good. Not the nasty poured from a premixed bottle sort. The guacamole made at the table--just do it. You'll thank me. The staff is great. They even tracked us down in the parking lot to give my husband his wallet that had fallen out of his pocket in the booth!

The food is consistently good. I like their menu. Service was good. They have another location at a nearby town. It's like all the problems have been worked out and this location beats a lot of other Mexican places in town. Definitely worth a try. We've been pleased.

we have eaten here twice and have had great meals both times. the staff is extremely friendly and the food is full of flavor. so many Mexican restaurants cover their dishes with excessive sauces that mask anything under them here you taste the individual flavors of each item ordered. this is our new favorite go to restaurant in springfield.
