Grabbed lunch at Taqueria El Patron Mexican Grill on Sunday afternoon. It would not be a place I would dine-in, but it is a solid option for take-out.
Quality: I was very happy with my take-out meal. The Guacamole was excellent, its flavor really focused on avocado. The El Patron Burrito was also very good. It has steak, rice, refried beans and is covered in an enchilada style sauce, which included chunks of pork. The one thing I felt it was missing from the burrito was sour cream, but overall very good.
Quantity: Large portions, burritos are enough for two meals.
Value: $14 for Fresh Guacamole & Chips. $18 for El Patron Burrito.
Ambiance: Taqueria El Patron Mexican Grill is located in Park Slope. They have a small outdoor street structure in the front, and potentially more seating in the back. I ended up just sitting inside for a few minutes for my food. It is very casual, and strangely they kept the doors open on a cold day. Two televisions hung from the corner and the music selection blasting over the speakers was all over the place.
Crowd: I was the only customer on Sunday afternoon.
Service: Food was ready right on time.
Parking: Limited street parking.
