I’ve eaten here before and the food is fine but today was the first time that what I ordered was almost $3 more than the menu stated. I was told the menus are old…okay so then don’t have it displayed and there for the taking. I understand prices have gone up everywhere and I also understand why, but communication is important and prices on the displayed menu should be accurate. Was disappointed because $5 for a plain hot dog to grab & go feels like a bit much.

That salad inside the tortilla is really tasty.

Don't have a lot to say about "The Dog" cuz I only went one time.

Excellent food, the burgers are amazing and great tasting! Manolo really knows how to cook some killer Colombian fast food. The cholados are not that great but none in Queens are. Go here for the Food and the Fries which are all killer. Highly recommended.

The food is really good , many choices in burger and sandwiches. The cholados are amazing as well !! Overall really nice and friendly people , fast service, fast food and economic. The only thing is that I don't like that it's a cash only place.

I had walked, went and ate here today by myself for lunch on a rainy and cold Sunday afternoon. I'd ordered and brought only the quail egg hot dog combo and it was really good, delicious and a bit expensive to eat it. It was the same guy who was working there by himself was really good, nice and friendly! I didn't wait too long to get my order and be served that it took about 5 minutes! After I had ate my meal, he quickly told me again if it's good and I told him back with a smile it was really good, I liked it and delicious and he smiled at me back! Finally, I hope that I will eat here again next time! :)

Of all the Colombian hot dog spots along Northern, El Perro tends to get the least amount of attention. They have all the intangibles I love in a junk food establishment: fast, abundant, affordable, and insane unhealthy. When this kind of food tastes good even when sober (#1), then it's a win-win for everyone involved. As an establishment, El Perro isn't much to look at. Seating is limited, the bathrooms are sketch, and most people are in/out with the takeout anyway. Delivery was already a big business even prior to the pandemic, but they've done well enough to remain a fixture in the late night food scene. If you're not a fan of cholados, hot dogs, or burgers, then this is not the place for you. Colombian style is really a mishmosh of ingredients stacked into each dog / sandwich to the point where it's a meal in itself. The burgers are mostly under $10 each and super hearty all around. My favorites include their monster hamburguesa, which is fully loaded with double patties, all the sauces, topped with pink sauce, crushed potato chips and cheese. Equally heart stopping are their array of hot dogs; my preferred ones being the criollo (sausage + carrot salad), hawaiian (sausage, cheese, pineapple), and especial (bacon, cheese, pineapple). Most of the appetizers (especially the wings - ugh) are not on my must-eat list, but the salchipapas combinations are all fire. Service is quick and to the point. Spanish is the preferred language here, but they do just fine with ingles. While they do accept credit card, cash seems to be the quicker transaction. With all the food, one drink I'd recommend for everyone is their maracuya (#2). It goes perfectly with the gut bomb. _____________ (#1) Let's be real, it tastes *way* better when completely sloshed. Stopped in here this evening after having not eaten all day! The two guys behind the counter were super sweet (and bilingual). This is a small spot, but room for about eight to sit and enjoy their Colombian take on burgers and hot dogs (amongst other goodies). I forgot to take a pic, but I had the Classic burger combo - comes with lettuce, tomato, onions and their "house sauce" with fries and a soda. It was deliciosa and exactly what I needed after a day of 14K steps and nothing other than water and a yogurt in my belly! If you're in the Jackson Heights area on Northern Blvd around 81st, give them a try!

Worst costumer service, we waited 40 min for 2 regular burgers on Sunday night when it wasn't crowded!!! Don't waste your time and money

Love coming here when I'm craving a cholado, I've been coming here since middle school and still so in love! I feel like there's a cheaper cholado place a couple blocks away but I'm lazy and this across where I live so it'll do!

This place is tiny!!! It's only has a few stools so it makes for a quick meal. So it's a Colombian fast food place and the thing I like here are their cholados and their hamburguesas The food: Cholado- what's a cholado??? Yeah, it's essentially a fruit cup. It's shaved ice, a blend of fruit juices, slices of banana, slices of strawberry, shaved coconut drizzled with condensed milk. It's pretty much a minorities wet dream, I had a Caucasian friend try it and she was not a fan. Hamburguesas Hawaiiana- It's meat, cheese, pineapple, tomato, crunched potato chips, ketchup, pink sauce, mayo, mustard. Yeah, it's a Spanish burger with a TON of stuff in it. It's not healthy and the meat patty is usually over done but the combo of sweet and savory on the burger is nice. I think it's perfect drinking food, if you ask me.

A plain hot dog at El Perro isn't so compelling, but few of the customers here are going for pure-play meat. It's all about strength in numbers, with perplexing assortments of toppings that lead to unexpected tastes and textures. I enjoyed the criollo, which adds the following: carrot salad, cheese, crunched potato chips, ketchup, pink sauce, mayo, mustard. Yes, I had to read from the menu to get all that. While the hot dog is the namesake of this Colomobian spot, the approach is basically the same. I got the especial, topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, crunched potato chips, raspberry, ketchup, pink sauce, mayo, mustard. This isn't the place for health enthusiasts or meat purists, but you'll probably the apparent randomness of the juxtapositions.

Not a fan of cholados, but L kinda likes them. It's just weird to have something so ridiculously sweet and fattening at the same time. You can barely taste the fruit. It's an acquired taste if it's not something you grew up eating... The hot dogs with all the additional toppings are a bit overpriced for what it is and really messy to eat. The toppings are pretty simple, the hot dogs don't taste bad, but it's nothing you couldn't replicate in your kitchen in 6 minutes. I'd rather buy a better quality hot dog and make a "healthier" banh mi hot dog myself. L's nephew used to get burgers from El Perro out of convenience, but what kid doesn't enjoy a greasy burger topped with a massive piece of ham... So unhealthy.

I finally made it the El Perro! I have passed this place many times and telling myself to go. I finally did this past weekend. The menu has lots of photos so ordering is easy. After the meal I definitely vote this place as one of the best burgers I had for a long time! I had the Hawaiiana Combo (burger+fries+soda)- it comes with meat patty, cheese, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, crunched potato chips, ketchup, pink sauce, mayonnaise, and mustard. The combination is delicious! Rate it 5/5. The combo include fries and they were very good especially with the pink sauce. The have hot dogs and sandwiches too. There natural juices was good; you can get it with milk or water. In the summer they have Cholado, banana boat, ensalada de frutas, fresas con crema, and gresas con crema y banano! I will be back for to try the rest of the menu! Parking- not easy, try a block away instead of on Northern Blvd. The place is small and only have a limited counter seats; no tables.

El Perro is my kinda place. Be warned its just a couple of counters you can eat at. There are no tables at all so it's not the most comfy place but I wasn't here for that. I wanted Colombian fast food. I came in for a hamburguesa with their salsa rosada, pink sauce!!! Pink sauce is probably mayo with ketchup. Their burgers are nice sized and the fries were crispy and tasty. The burgers could use more seasoning but it was good nonetheless. I like how down-to-earth everything was at El Perro. It's nothing fancy here but it's awesome. There are picture menus so I know what to expect. Sorry Gordon Ramsey, I like picture menus! I had their passion fruit juice, delicious! For fast food, I rather come here than the place with the golden arches. Jusy sayin'

I am impressed, El Perro was actually fabulous. More than anything, El Perro has an incredible vibe. The menu is really good, lots of really good choices, I had to go with Hot Dog, and it was amazing. Wonderful afternoon and the staff is amazing! El Perro - An immediate favorite, and we plan on coming back here often.

This place is great and just one block away from my house. I love it. I needed food bad one late night and did not want to go far for food. They open until 2 (maybe even later on wknds) so it worked perfectly for me. The owner is really nice and always looks happy to see me. i have the Hamburguesa Criolla. It was great. I know I know - it says Perro Veloz, but I was in the mood for a hamburguesa darnit! It was awesome - ham, bacon, cheese, grilled opnions, crushed chips, a fried egg, mayo, pink sauce, and mustard. YUM. Oh yea, there was also a beef patty LOL, and I saw them one time shaping and mixing the patties fresh. The fries are eh, and probably b/c i do take out and it sits in the container for awhile. I just forgo the fries since I always get takeout. They also have cholados and they look awesome! Usually everytime i go in there, there's at least one person waiting to get their cholado. My friend who was with me had one time - she said it was really good but she wasn't used to all the evaporated milk they put. :P I have yet tried the perros, but will update once I do. p.s. will provide a phone # for them once i get home and look at their menu.

i can not tell a lie: the beef on this burger was impressively weird. like not normal. i still ate it, yes. it was edible. you won't die if you order this, and it's actually not that bad, but... mystery patties.

I absolutley Love this place. Best burgers and comfort food I have ever eaten. Clean, nice friendly staff owner operated there all the time. A++++ 5 stars *******

Well for the first time it was good. Three different burgers. All of them little place but it is what it is.

Must be good to have so many customers that you can ignore the ones that come in, cash in hand. I had enjoyed a burger brought to me from there by a friend, so I thought I go myself and order a cuban sandwich. I ordered from the pleasant lady while the man behind the counter continued to full small take out size salsa containers. The woman returned to her place behind a metal screen (so I couldn't see what she was up to, but assumed work on my sandwich had begun. How wrong I was! 5 minutes after I walked in, an attractive young girl came in and ordered a hot dog (no innuendo intended). Within moments, sauce man had sprung into action placing her bun and dog into the toaster oven (seems a poor way to prepare a hot dog, but who am I to judge). He then started texting. I began to suspect my sandwich might not be a top priority. I checked on what exactly the woman was up to and found that she had indeed been chopping, but not for my sandwich. She pushed some chopped veggies into a metal container, replaced the container and resumed chopping. I still had the $5 in my hand when I stormed out. Well, maybe just walked out but I was pissed off! To be fair, the only food I did have there (the second hand burger) was good. Not great, but good.

I love columbian food and if I need good food I'm only ordering from El Perro. The delivery is so fast the people are very nice specialy the owner HAVIER

The food is good. I had the burgers which are very different from your traditional burger. I like the combination flavors between sweet and salty. My main reason I go there is for the cholados which are colombian icy with fruit juice, fruit and condense milk, Delicious!

GO To la perrada de chalo food is way better!! I order a delivery and everything was wrong, portions are really small, first and last time ordering from this place....guy over the phone couldnt answer couple questions about their food and when food came was cold and not what i order!! There are bunch of places much better on northern blvd

Food is over priced and is not even good at all. The burger meat was not fresh and the hot dog tasted like the refridgerator. Would never go back.

Good ass hot dogs and burgers. Grab fistfuls of napkins, you'll need it. They've got all the silly toppings (fried eggs, potato chips, sweet jam/jelly, cheese, mayo, ketchup, forever and ever.). The next Tu Cachapas.

Hmm Colombian Fast Food. I got a burger and fries to go. After a 10 block walk the fries were still crispy; the bun wasn't soggy, yet the burger was juicy. Crushed potato chips and rose sauce toppings!!
