"Fish tacos are already the fun, flip-flop-wearing, margarita-sipping member of the taco world, but this casual, sit-down spot in Beacon Hill makes them even more exciting. Stretchy flour tortillas come splattered like a Jackson Pollock painting with melty white cheese, then get stacked with a hunk of crispy cornmeal-breaded fish. And the real excitement happens when matchstick-thin green apple slices join a hodgepodge of red onion, cilantro, and tomato on top. The food was delicious! We took my sister in law here for a late lunch and was very happy with everything. I had a steak and eggs with beans, my husband had a chicken chimichunga and my SIL had a chicken quesadilla. Quite empty for the afternoon. Next time I will order mine without the Diablo sauce on the chips. Great service. Great food!

El Quetzal was a nice spot for a Mexican food lunch on a hot Seattle Saturday. The menu is large with enough variety to probably have something for everyone. I didn't adore my margarita, but it was plenty strong and worth the price if that's your goal. Similarly, I don't prefer the style of quesadilla we received (lettuce, lighter on the cheese, etc) but all the ingredients were high quality and well done (the steak was delicious, for example.) Chips and salsa were tasty!

We were seated right away. They seem non- traditional as we were not gven chips or salsa. We had to order those separately. (not free). Had the Enchiladas Verde. Pretty good, had a little kick. The servings were kinda small for the price. The service was on point.

Fantastic, legit Mexican food. I had the quesabirria special. Also tried the ribs in morita chile sauce. Service was friendly and quick. Presentation was gorgeous. So happy to find this spot. Muy rico!!

Our frequent friday nite family dinner spot serving authentic large portion plates! Their specials are always superb- menudo, enchilada mole, and a lamb shank braised last nite! My photos of the fish tacos dont do it justice- large and loaded and all meals large enough to feed 2.

Friendly staff, fair prices, good food and good vibes. They had live music and it was a really fun night. We had a mix of picky eaters and they accommodated everyone without any problems. Very attentive and overall great experience.
