Best Breakfast Burritos in Lubbock no doubt. Been going here for years. Burritos are big and foods always fresh. Great customer service! This place definitely deserves more recognition . 1-13-2025

Came for the first time and spent $30 on 3 burritos. Had to come back because my daughters order was incorrect due to a food allergy and the lady at the window was extremely rude considering she was the on who messed up the order. Will not be coming back, many better options up the street for the price, portions, and quality.

First time here and I was disappointed. Menudo tasted nothing but like oregano. They have no menus got to look on the wall by the booth we were sitting. Tortilla's taste like mission tortillas. Just not for us. Burrito of Barbecoa,they burly put some in it. Chips n got sauce was good thu.

I got a potato, egg and cheese burrito and it was fantastic. It wasn't bland or over seasoned. The tortillas were perfect. The only downside is that since they're made at order and not pre made, it takes a little bit. I recommend calling your order in. Update: So I've been going here for over a year, and I still love it! Best burritos in Lubbock hands down.

Not authentic Mexican food like we were hoping it was. Store bought tortillas were thick and not cooked throughly, potatoes and eggs were over cooked and mushed and gross. Chicharron con chile is awful. Horchata was gross. They didn’t give us a variety on salsas. Overall I’d rather get McDonald’s for breakfast.

We ordered several breakfast burritos for a large group. They were ready for pickup when we arrived despite them being very busy. We all enjoyed our food. Everything was to order, portion sizes are large and the price paid for what we received was a great value. We will be back for sure.

Very expensive for very tiny burrito. And we ordered with bacon , they did not put it and charged us $8 each. Money wasted and I don’t recommend it.

My husband and I had breakfast here for the first time and was not disappointed. Delicious breakfast!

Nice little place. I would say the breakfast burrito is more the size of a big taco. I ordered 3 and that was just the right amount. Friendly spot to locals, the servers didn't talk much. I believe it's family ran. Go visit when in town

I came here specifically for their breakfast burritos. I'm on a hunt to find the best Lubbock has to offer. Average burritos with what tasted like a store bought tortilla. They provided a plentiful amount of food for 2.75 each. We tried the bacon/egg and the chorizo/egg. One burrito would've been a perfect serving size. Disclaimer that my review cannot be a reference for the rest of their food. Workers were friendly, burritos came out nice and hot! Just nothing special.

We were in town for a graduation and wanted a quick taco, wife and I both had a carne guisada and egg burrito and they were a solid 10. Hot sauce is excellent too. Place is to go only. The lady that takes your order wasn't too friendly but didn't matter the food was great!

Oh my gosh! Where are all these good reviews coming from? This place uses store-bought tortillas, and their burritos are three bucks for something no larger than what Stripes sells. Are you freaking kidding me? What a complete waste of money. I'm from Houston, and people down there know how to make a breakfast taco. These are no more burritos than what McDonald's sells. Super super disappointed.

Truthfully one of the worst burritos i've ever had. Meat tasted reheated & stale. Tortilla was overheated so every bite the tortilla turned into crumbles. I ended up paying $10+ for this "meal" that came with stale chips and an incorrect drink. Won't be returning.

This is by far the best place in town for breakfast burritos. The staff is super friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. Not to mention the salsa is the best I've had at ANY restaurant. Ever. Period. Don't be discouraged by the look of the place. The food does not match the aesthetic. I would steer clear of the queso as it's the only thing I've gotten that didn't taste homemade and delicious. I go here at least once a week for my fix and never leave disappointed or hungry.

Poor overall qualit I eat Mexican food like it's my job, and this place is some of the worst I have Ever had. The enchiladas, rice, and beans were all far below average. Even the chips and salsa were lacking. Typically a place will excel at one of these, but to fail in all is worth mentioning. My wife and I both had Poor food, and the servers seemed disinterested in taking care of us when our drinks were empty, and never asked how our food was. The Hispanic lady sitting next to us approached the counter to have her food re-made as her burrito was not edible for some reason. We could see the food being prepped from crock pots, and heard the microwave door along with the "ding" several times while we were dining. Not a quality operation.

Quick drive thru with great prices. I ordered their migas plate and it was very good! Their salsa was also amazing. A little oniony tasting but it really hit the spot! They had no problem subbing flour tortillas for corn. Very friendly and great place that has been in Lubbock for years.

Small place with a few booths and a few tables. The breakfast burritos are okay. I haven't had one that I have not cared for. The downside is how skimpy the burritos actually are. I can eat 3 (always adding beans for a filler-upper) and I'm still hungry. If you're looking for a burrito that'll fill you, this place isn't it, but they are decent tasting.

Okay, listen. Here's what you're going to do. You're going to get off yelp, and call So Ranchito right this second to order one of their chorizo and egg breakfast burritos. I literally eat here at least once a week, and I have yet to be disappointed. Their burritos are a pretty good size, so I usually only need one. Their salsa is seriously the tits. I typically order chips as well simply because I love their salsa so much and I am from west Texas. So I mean, salsa runs through my veins. They have specials during the week I believe and the people who work there are SO NICE. I'm so glad I only live a couple of blocks away.

The service is terrible my wife and I got our food after waiting 30min and by the time we got home we realized that they didn't give us our two orders of beans and rice. So we end up going back to get them and they were being very rude and refused to give them to us because they (put it in the bag and wouldn't forget it) which they obviously forgot it or we wouldn't of gone back to get it. Definitely would not recommend with the terrible customer service!

I went to three different places today doing a Breakfast Burrito review. El Ranchito was by far the worst. I would not consider coming back to El Ranchito Burrito. Price was too high, worst burrito, and we had to wait here the longest.

El Ranchito is my favorite hole in the wall Restaurant in Lubbock. Though small, it is very affordable emanates a genuine vibe. If you eat in, the chips and salsa are on the house. If you take it to go, you'll have to pay for it. The only thing that could elevate this to a 5 star rating would be the presence of a hand washing station or a public restroom in the building. I'm particular about my hands smelling like food (even if it's amazing) and always wish there was a place to wash.

I'm a Texas transplant living in TN, and I'm always on the lookout for good Mexican food. The breakfast burritos did not disappoint.

This was my first time stopping by for a breakfast burrito. The place I normally go to that is down the street was closed. I thought I would try out this place. I was very disappointed and will probably never go back. I ordered their breakfast special 2 item burrito, small bag of chips & 32 oz drink for $6.50. The egg was burned and very dry the bacon was also burned to the crisp and was in little pieces. The chips were very salty and the coke was so sweet they probably needed to change it out. I didn't realize any of this until I got to work to eat it. I was hungry so I had no choice but to eat it. Not so very good hole in the wall place to eat at least not for breakfast.

The owner of this restaurant is one of the rudest people i have ever came across i have gone there three times first time i thought she might just be having a bad day but i guess she is always having a bad day, the rest of the staff are friendly but we won't go back because of her maybe she should stay home and let her staff run the place

Love love love El Ranchito Burrito! The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The chips and salsa are awesome. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. This hole in the wall is a Lubbock hidden gem.

El Ranchito is where dreams are fulfilled, where puppies come to see something cute, and where Mexican-food snobs come for the best food. Mary and Delores make the dining experience amazing, after a few visits they will know you by name and your usual order. The food is extremely reasonably priced and delicious! I highly recommend the carne guisada burrito add potatoes.

Oh hells yea! This is my new spot! Friendly service, reasonable price, good food. This is the carne guisada I have been dreaming of but could never find. I'm in love... Only 4 stars? Yeah. The parking kinda sucks because this place is poppin.

I had a brisket potato bean and cheese burrito this morning and it wasn't that the food wasn't good it just wasn't great. There was nothing special about it and the salsa wasn't the "best salsa of my life" either it was more tomato than anything else. I would be willing to try this place again but based off my first experience it was just ok.

I've been in enough Mexican food restaurants to recognize what has come off of a truck. This place is home cooking. The rice was authentic and the beans were CORRECT! And btw the enchiladas were top shelf. Great lunch specials!! I'll be back!!

El Ranchito is one of my favorite places to go on a lazy Saturday where I didn't wake up until 9 or 10 and decided to forgo breakfast and have lunch at 11. Specific, I know. But it's a common occurrence for me. :) The chips and salsa are great (even if the chips aren't homemade as another review mentions). The main attraction here has got to be the chile relleno burrito. Yes. You read right. A chile relleno inside a burrito. It is the best cardiac arrest I have ever inhaled. On days when I prefer something a little less abrasively delicious I go for a cheese enchilada plate which is delicious as well. Rice and beans leave nothing to be desired. They are the bomb. Try the chile relleno burrito. Even if it sounds gross now. Just do it. You might regret it but I stand by my recommendation nonetheless.

The breakfast burritos are delicious! They are an interesting size, sort of between a taco and a burrito but very generously portioned and such a great price! Whomever said they were tiny and expensive clearly has no concept of how much things really cost. The staff was friendly and attentive and the salsa was great. Definitely would go back!

I come here every Saturday after working out. They have the best burritos and super amazing salsa. If you want to treat your taste buds, be sure to get a side of potatoes!

I have been coming to El Ranchito since I was in high school. I choose El Ranchito for my breakfast because it's one of the most authentic burritos in town they know my order by heart whenever I call-in and I'm never dissatisfied! Keep making those burritos with love!!! -Emily

Definitely not the best, mission tortillas are out rated. Service was the worst; very unprofessional. Ladies were discussing illegal activity that took place over the weekend while serving drive thru for the whole restaurant to hear. Servers never came to check on us while dining to see if anything was needed. Ladies were yelling instructions across the restaurant and seemed very disorganized. Restaurant did not have restrooms available to the public. Food was not the greatest.

Today was my first time here. I ordered a sausage, egg, potato, and cheese burrito. Very delicious. The people were very friendly and courtesy. I will be back.

I have eaten here several times over the years and I have never had a bad experience. Everything is just a little better than you expect it to be - the rice, beans, salsa, everything. Also, the service is always top notch and genuine. Only negatives - it is a small building and so there are no restrooms that I have seen and it can sometimes get a little hot inside in the afternoon.

Absolutely the best carne guisada in Lubbock, TX. My favorite thing is the Smothered Burrito with Carne Guisada... it is so good I have cravings for it.

My favorite place to grab lunch!!! The lunch special is a burrito, a small bad of chips, 2 hot sauces and a 32 oz. Drink for $5.95! I love all the food but my favorite burrito is the Ranchurrito burrito if you like peppers and onions you will love this too! The staff is super friendly and the food always taste fresh!

We ordered an assortment of breakfast tacos to go for 12 people and they were great. The staff was friendly and our food was prepared quickly. Everyone enjoyed the different varieties. We will be back.

Carne guisada is good & hot sauce but the fake tortillas take away from the full flavor & authenticity. Chips are not homemade FYI. Decent prices & friendly service otherwise.

You can't find a better place to eat in Lubbock than El Ranchito! Great food and even better service!

This doesn't look like much from the outside but you're crazy if you're not going there for lunch or to grab breakfast burritos. It's a hidden gem that most people seem to miss.

We love eating lunch here and even better is the service from the lovely ladies who work here. Only two things would make it better, more tables and guacamole! I haven't tried anything yet that hasn't been great, including enchiladas, burritos and chili rellanos.

Best local Mexican food I've ever had. They are AWESOME. love the breakfast burritos. Off Salem and 34th its kind of hidden but I wouldn't trade this spot for any other food joint anywhere.

Disgusting! I ordered and paid for 2 breakfast burritos, and they gave me whatever they scrapped from around the stove that has been there forever. Whatever was inside those tortillas was BLACK and it tasted disgusting. I asked for potato, eggs and chorizo and what I got was a combination of old fat and food and who knows what else. I threw the food away, and my money by going to this place.

This place was great! I had a very basic but delicious spam and egg breakfast burrito. They were CRAZY busy and they do a large to go business with a drive up order window. Even though they were extremely busy my drink was never empty, my food was hot and quick. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, not the best salsa I have ever had but far from the worst. This is a solid place for breakfast. I will reserve my opinion about this place as a go to Mexican place until I try the green sauce (the ultimate judge of Mexican for me) but I will definitely be back!

Great family run, small place. Open 7-2 so watch your time. Room for about 24 people inside but they do a lot of drive thru window business. Authentic options from individual items to full meals. Wonderful food and favors. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and experience.

Wonderful place for breakfast. Don't let the outside fool you. Nice (small) seating area inside and extremely clean. Great food and service. Wish I had a Mexican place as good as this at home. If you are in Lubbock this is a must stop if you want Mexican food.
