The 15 Best Spanish Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"In one of El Rincon Asturiano’s four small dining rooms, there’s a chair with the words “Pedro Almodovar” scribbled on the back, next to one that says “Lorca.” But you don’t have to be a famous Spaniard to eat here. You just have to love traditional Spanish tapas like gambas al ajillo, chorizo a la sidra, or huevos estrellados. El Rincon Asturiano does that better than anyone else in Miami. There's nothing new or flashy about this Little Havana spot. It's probably where your friend’s Ciudadrealeño dad hangs out to drink Albariño and split a big bowl of almejas con jamon with his friends. He’s most likely been coming here since it opened in 1995 and hopes to one day have a chair with his name on it." - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer

The 19 Best Restaurants In Little Havana

"El Rincón Asturiano is another Spanish restaurant we love. Whereas Casa Juancho is very much a Calle Ocho restaurant with a penchant for panache, El Rincón is more subdued and on a much quieter corner. It's our favorite place in Miami for traditional Spanish tapas, like gambas al ajillo, chorizo a la sidra, and huevos estrellados. There's nothing flashy about this spot. It's probably where your friend’s Ciudadrealeño dad hangs out to drink albariño and split a big bowl of almejas con jamon with friends. Hopefully, he’s taught you how to sink the shells deep into the bowl so they catch as much serrano and creamy wine sauce as possible." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

El Rincón Asturiano Review - Little Havana - Miami - The Infatuation

We like sinking the shells deep into the bowl so they catch as much serrano and creamy wine sauce as possible. Don’t let any of that sauce go to waste either—sponge it up with the bread they give you. video credit: Virginia Otazo Croquetas De Jamon Don Quixote should have eaten more of these instead of reading stupid romance novels. The crispy shells barely hold together a creamy center filled with chunks of jamon. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Garbanzos Fritos Con Jamon These legumes are fried with chunks of jamon and chorizo. It's a heavy, smoky dish, but surprisingly not very greasy—which is so often the unfortunate case with garbanzos fritos. video credit: Virginia Otazo Chorizo A La Sidra El Rincon Asturiano excels at anything that has to do with pigs. And this chorizo cooked in cider is the kind of dish that shuts an entire table up and is gone in seconds. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Cachopo Asturiano Cachopo is to Asturias what turducken is to the US. This is not an entree you eat on your own. It’s veal wrapped in jamon serrano stuffed with creamy cheese that’s then breaded and fried until crunchy. It’s super salty and heavy, so order a crispy beer to wash it down." - Virginia Otazo

A honest review from a Spaniard : I have tried many many Spanish restaurants in Florida and New York , and this is the only authentic one I found . FANTASTIC. stop going to these new modern restaurants where the chefs don’t know what they are doing if you want to try authentic Spanish food . Excellent service from Ana, Elena y Jose .

El Rincón Asturiano is the perfect spot to enjoy traditional Spanish food—good, consistent, and at moderate prices. Nothing fancy or ostentatious, just a popular and authentic atmosphere. I highly recommend the fabada with oxtail and the veal escalopines with Cabrales cheese, both are delicious. However, I’ve tried the rice dishes several times and wouldn’t recommend them. The only downside is that they don’t have a full liquor license. With only wine and beer available, the experience feels a bit incomplete, as it would be nice to enjoy a proper after-dinner drink.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rincon Asturiano and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the tone for what would be a perfect evening. The soft lighting, tasteful décor, and upbeat yet relaxing music created a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere. The staff were nothing short of incredible. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly passionate about ensuring we had the best experience. It was refreshing to see such genuine care in hospitality

Excellent Spanish food. Service is very good. Cannot say much about the ambiance because we were there at 4:30 pm and there were just a few people. They have very good Spanish music. We tried the Callos Asturiana, Langostinos a la Plancha, Pan with tomatoes and Serrano ham and Pulpo a la Plancha. All were excellent. Dessert was Tarta de Santiago with Almond Ice Cream. Excellent too. The chairs are identified with famous people names. Nice detail.

This was the most incredible Spanish food I’ve had in Miami and Broward!! The environment is very welcoming and the service is wonderful. Above all, the food was the best I’ve had in a long time. Not only did the food arrive quickly, but it was fresh, hot and extremely delicious!! The grilled octopus was so flavorful and the sangria complemented it all! The rice with seafood (arroz con mariscos) was amazing and the dessert topped it off. 1000/10 would recommend to anyone who wants great food to remember.

What a little gem this restaurant is!! It's small but the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing! I felt like I was in Spain on vacation. The soft music playing brought back memories from the time I lived in Spain. You will definitely love this place!

12/20/2024 Authentic Spanish Flavors with a Touch of Tradition This restaurant has built a reputation for consistency and quality over the years, enticing customers to return for its standout dishes and warm hospitality. Food: The callos madrileños (Madrid-style tripe stew) is the star of the menu—prepared to perfection but with portions on the smaller side for the price. They also offer a Spanish-style daily menu with a first and second course at a reasonable cost. Other dishes are good but fall within standard expectations. Service: Exceptional, with a familial touch that makes every guest feel welcome. The staff is attentive, providing thoughtful recommendations tailored to individual tastes. Ambiance: Always bustling with full tables, accompanied by Spanish music that transports diners to Europe. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Conclusion: A highly recommended spot to savor authentic Asturian cuisine and enjoy a slice of Spain in every bite.
