The 15 Best New Restaurants in Buenos Aires | Eater

"Florencia Barrientos Paz and Gonzalo Alderete Pagés shocked the local food scene when they suddenly left Peronist-themed restaurant Perón Perón after a dispute with their partners. Only a few months later, they have returned, this time honoring Evita Perón and Argentine comfort foods. Start the meal with an assortment of Gonzalo’s salteña-style empanadas, like the braised venison with homemade hot sauces. After, opt for stick-to-your ribs plates like milanesa with spaghetti, ossobuco and mashed potatoes, and finally, for dessert, Florencia’s famous flan with dulce de leche and whipped cream. Reservations highly recommended." - Allie Lazar

I had what was supposed to be Osobuco. It was small potato dumplings, tomato sauce, and a few chunks of meat. NOTHING had any flavor -zero. The wine was good and the place was nice, but I did not finish the tasteless dish.

This was the first time for my wife and I to visit this restaurant. Everything was superb. Service was great, food was perfection topped off with a decadent dessert. The atmosphere was lively and fun, we even were fortunate enough to hear the Marcha Peronista, the official Justicialist Party song, cheerfully accompanied by the patrons singing along. A truly wonderful and memorable experience that we will try to repeat often.🩵🤍🩵🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

Food is incredible, some very original dishes. The atmosphere, once you accept is place paying homage to Evita, is not as Evita centric as you would like. Against it is the fact that they also honor Kirchnerismo, which has nothing to do with what Evita represented.

Does no one find it odd that this shrine to Peronism is one of the more expensive restaurants in Palermo? Or is that just a metaphor for Peronism - saying you are "for the people" while lining your own pockets?? Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find myself in a restaurant where they bang on tables singing a political party chant while the "heroes" of the movement gaze upon you from paintings and photos and shrines (it's all very Mussolini-esque), but my in-laws are huge peronistas and I was just along for the ride. I wonder what Borges would have to say about this place... Regarding the food, the empanadas and the flan were great, but the main courses were "meh". I think my osso bucco was just regular, tough stew meat and the pasta wasn't even tossed in the sauce (an Italian would shudder at the thought).

It's a very good place, probably better if you are "peronista". The food is really good.
