El Segundo Vail

A twisted tale of tequila and tacos. Scotland made our Vail experience at El Segundo awesome. Tucked alongside the water in Vail. El Segundo offers the largest variety of tequila in the county. The homemade chips and salsa are great. We had the nachos and some specialty tacos. The cocktails were served cold and quickly. Would recommend.

The food was good and the atmosphere was cozy, but the service was horrible. They came to take our drink orders and then we didn't see the waitress for 20-25 minutes. I had to go flag someone down and ask if she could come back to the table to take our orders.

We enjoyed our lunch at El Segundo. We sat outside on the deck with a nice view of Gore Creek. They easily accommodated our gluten restrictions. We started with nachos which were generous with lots of yummy toppings. For the second course, we each enjoyed a taco. The tacos were all creative and flavorful. Our cocktails were also nice. Will definitely visit again!

This place was reccomended by our concierge at the timeshare that we were staying at in Avon. So we decided to go try it. The food was not good at all and the service was the worst I've had in a long time. I highly recommend never going here.

Segundo Vail is a must-visit Mexican restaurant that combines delicious food with excellent service. The margaritas here are a standout—fresh, perfectly balanced, and served with a generous pour. If you’re a fan of beer, you can’t go wrong with a cold Pacifico to pair with your meal. The food is just as impressive, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients in every dish. Eric behind the bar is fantastic—offering great drink recommendations and ensuring your experience is top-notch. If you're in Vail and craving great Mexican food, refreshing margaritas, and a cold Pacifico, Segundo is the place to be. Highly recommend!

My friend suggested El Segundo for dinner, and I had always heard great things about it; I was not disappointed. It was great on all fronts, from the food to the vibe. The prices are in tune with what to expect in Vail, but I plan on treating myself at this place again.

El Segundo is a special place, I love nothing more than taking a seat at the bar and spending as much time as possible enjoying the service (Eric behind the bar is one of a kind). It’s one of those places where everyone feels like a friend, including the staff. Highly recommend the Friend of the Devil (spicy margarita), and the wallpaper in the bathroom is awesome!

They have two locations, one in vail and one in Eagle. We went to the vail location. Fun, energetic, trendy but also casual Mexican food with some Asian and American style mixed in for fun and flavor. The bar has a huge assortment of tequilas. I highly recommend the purple rain which featured mezcal, prickly pear, lime, serrano, citrus liqueur topped with sparkling water and a tajin rim. For meal, we had the smothered carne asada burrito which consisted of grilled flatiron steak, spanish rice, refried pinto beans with smoked pork, pico de gallo, red chili sauce, melted cheddar and Monterey Jack. We also tried three of their tacos: Nash Vegas: southern fried chicken, spicy chili oil, creamy slaw, dill pickle; the 24 hour carnitas which was outstanding; and their Baja style crispy cod taco. One of the features of the restaurant that I truly enjoyed was the colorful over the table lamps throughout the restaurant. Great food and I’m sure we will be back on our next trip to vail. Service was prompt, friendly. The waiters were wearing restaurant tshirts that featured funny quotes also.
