Miami’s Best New Dishes Of 2024 - Miami - The Infatuation

"Before this year, people would ask us where to get a breakfast burrito and we’d react like they just asked us for the square root of the moon. But now we have an answer: Guerito’s. The crispy hash browns, cheesy eggs, and diced bacon do a wonderful job. But we’re the housemade tortilla’s biggest fan. It has polka dot char marks and is supportive yet pliable, like those nice socks you bought with a podcast promo code." - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer

Google
Absolutely wonderful food, service, and price. The best "breakfast" burrito I've ever had. Do not pass on the coconut horchata, it was perfect for a hot afternoon. Will make this a regular stop when I town.

Google
We ordered 2 steak, egg, potato breakfast burritos & added bacon to them! Cost us about $11 per burrito. They were so good! They had beans in them which made them perfectly moist and delicious. The steak was very flavorful & yummy. Definitely want to come back to try the pupusas next time.

Google
Very clean restaurant and friendly owner. Delicious food and drinks, if you like coconut, you have to try the horchata coco, house blend, very delicious! The quesadillas are so full of cheese and I'm a cheese lover! The guacamole is creamy and fresh, so glad I ordered it! We'll have to come back and try more!!

Google
Check your bill... Food was actually pretty good (though I prefer my chorizo spicier), and I had a good review all planned out, but then I got the check. I ordered the $3.99 yuca fries listed on the menu, but on the bill, they tried to charge me $7.99. When I asked about it, I was told that the price on the bill was wrong... in this case, half of what they were trying to charge me!? In the end, I refused to pay more than the amount on the bill and they adjusted the price. I get that printing menus is expensive, but making tape and a pen are not (or they could just tell people). I was the only customer in the place the entire time I was there, which is understandable. I definitely won't come back to a place that intently tried to overcharge me from the process listed on their menu.

Google
The papusas were delicious and perfect! The coconut horchata was spot on! The reviews didn’t lie, I had to try it, considering I love horchata! Thanks for the delicious meal! We’ll definitely be coming back.

Google
She has the steak salad. Fresh greens, lots of flavorful steak. I had pupusas. Cheese, bean and cheese, and jalapeno and cheese. Excellent!!! Great prices too

Google
El Steak Burrito on the surface may seem like a simple place in an unsuspecting area, but this Mexican food is very literally the best I have ever had anywhere that I've traveled in the world. I've been all over Mexico, and all over South America, and I absolutely love burritos. I've had literally thousands at hundreds of different restaurants over the years, none come close to being as good as this place. The burrito is so perfectly seasoned, and perfectly balanced. The pico de gallo is some of the best I've ever had. Their tacos are incredible and the guacamole is next level. I went into the kitchen to talk to the chef and it's an older lady who came as an immigrant from Central America, and to me that's a beautiful story. There is no question about it in my mind, this is the single best place to get tacos and burritos in America, it's literally so good that whenever I drive through Las Vegas I make this my main stop. Myself, my wife, and my sister now all measure burritos and tacos by the ones made here. It's the golden standard.

Google
I have been going to this place for their pupusas and horchata for over 10+ years. I refuse to go anywhere for pupusas and horchata. The horchata itself is award winning, it isn't from a fountain, they actually make it there with milk so it's thick and creamy - hands down the best I have ever had. The owner has known me since I was a teen and always ask how I am doing - the staff is always welcoming and friendly. It's a small place but it is clean and quiet and a comfortable place to come have something to eat. Definitely my favorite spot for Salvadorian food.

Yelp
2am review? Yeah not my original intention. Curious why I'm awake at 2? Well it rhymes with comet and it wasn't as fun to watch. Long and short I paid 31 dollars for a single burrito with drink that I gave right back to the porcelain gods 6-8ish hours later. Service was fantastic. Great service. Throwing up at 2am from a sharp pain in your stomach isn't fun. Not sure if the food was left out or if someone isn't washing their hands but wtf. So yeah, good times. Will I come back? I don't really think so. But maybe they're having an off day. I am not willing to find out. As always happy hunting

Yelp
What a nice find this was. Service is so friendly, I felt so at home. I had pupusas, steak taco and platanos and they were all fantastic. We will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
After looking for all breakfast burrito in the area. I came to this spot as the reviews were good. The shop is small inside and had a few tables. The menu is not big but there are several quality options. They have lunch specials and pupusas, which are worth a try. However, I came for breakfast and they offered plates and burritos. I got the steak, potato and egg. This was unfortunately dry and lacked steak. The burrito was on the smaller side and I really expected more from this spot. I'm usually around this area so maybe I will go for the pupusas and plates next time.

Chris M.

Yelp
Super nice guy. Very clean restaurant. The breakfast burrito was tasty. It had beans in it which we had never had before. We'd go back.
google avatar

Yelp
I was in Las Vegas and craved a breakfast burrito; Yelp assured me that this is the best one in town so I went. The steak burrito did NOT disappoint! It was delicious, and quite filling. Service was great!
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Me and my wife came before I think it was better the last time cuz last time it didn't have refried beans in are breakfast burrito this time it did it wasn't bad just wasn't what we remembered it been what we was use to still great food those

Yelp
It was good. First time having empanadas that are salvadorian and I can say really like them. Impressed. Everything is made to order. Small location but everything is fresh. Great music playing. Would come back to try more

Yelp
Update. Who puts green beans and potatoes in a tamale? Six decades of eating tamales, and this was a first. We had a good meal at this little Salvadoran establishment. Dine-in is available during the pandemic, with about 5 or 6 tables inside. We ordered the tacos lunch special, with ample tasty street steak tacos, and the beans and rice were also excellent. Their chicken burrito is huge, and has very fresh ingredients. Everything is made fresh to order. We also got a shrimp pupusa, just to try it out, and it came with a nice little slaw salad. Both the green and red salsas were excellent, with deep delicious flavors. Eduardo was very kind to us, and told us all about the place. No soda fountain, canned and bottled drinks only. Clean interior, good food, great service, we will be back!
google avatar

Alvin L.

Yelp
The best pupusas in town. ABSOLUTE fire. Get the cheese and jalapeno pupusa. It's fucking delicious. The curtido is nice and acidic, and the salsa has a nice kick to it. Also, because of its name, you gotta try their burritos too. Their steak and breakfast burritos are delicious. Ingredients are fresh, and it's super affordable. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
Authentic flavor and handmade tortillas (thick). Definitely worth the 8 minute drive from the strip.

Mark A.

Yelp
Steak potato egg burrito was incredible. And the regular steak burrito just as good. The rice in the burrito was fresh and tasty. Steak was cooked over a flame you could tell. Beans are definitely homemade too. Great service nice people. Great cooks . Would definitely reccomend. Also pupusas are a class act.
google avatar

Misha M.

Yelp
Food and service are equally great! The staff here are so friendly and service is quick. Tried all the pupusas and they are delicious. The red sauce served with them is so addicting. The coconut horchata is a perfect drink with their menu. Prices are fair and food quality and portions are good too. Enchiladas were also really good. A great spot for lunch.
google avatar

Angel S.

Yelp
The food here is good, the service is okay. Ordered chicken pupusas, but they gave me cheese instead which I pulled hair out of. If I don't ask for utensils or more than one salsa, I won't get any. My biggest complaint is the portions, one little cup filled with rice for a large soup is sad
google avatar

Nikkita S.

Yelp
I ordered the carne asada burrito with a bottled water. The restaurant was empty so it was very fast service. The burrito was fresh and meat didn't have lots of fatty pieces (I hate fatty pieces). The burrito comes with steak, rice, beans, cilantro, and onions. They give you two sauces on the side (1 red & 1 green) but you can ask for more, at a price. I asked for 2 more and he happened to give it to me free lol my lucky day. I also had to ask for limes separate and they were free. But overall I would go back for a big carne asada burrito for about $12.
google avatar

Harley S.

Yelp
Definitely one of the better spots for burritos. I opted for the carne asada burrito with guacamole added. First, it was fantastic. Super tender well seasoned asada with the green salsa was straight awesome. It's a small place but the service is always friendly. The burritos are a bit pricier but in my opinion, it's worth it for the quality you get. Definitely give them a try.

Edgar V.

Yelp
Damn just go here. The food was so good I woke up the next morning craving more. I ordered pretty much every pupusa they had because the group i ordered for wanted to try a little of everything. The only complaint I heard was the shrimp and cheese pupusa was mostly cheese but everything else was phenomenal. Definitely try their horchata de coco! Staff is super friendly and nice. The only thing I wish was different is I wish they were open later so I could get them more often
google avatar

Sakol M.

Yelp
I came here for a late breakfast burrito. When I looked at the menu, I decided to go for the chicken enchiladas speciales. I also ordered three pupusas to go with some pickled cabbage: cheese/loroco pupusa, revueltas pupusa and chicken pupusa. It's a small place and only one server, so it took awhile for my order to come. It finally came piping hot. Refried beans smelled great! First bite was warm and comforting. A few bites later, I hit a chicken bone. Ouch. Despite that, the chicken enchiladas were good. Luckily, there was only one bone. I'll have to come back for the breakfast burrito next time.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Affordable and delicious! We ordered revueltas and cheese and jalapeno. These pupusas were amazing. They also came out pretty quickly. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
google avatar

Erikah B.

Yelp
Small but friendly, clean, and attentive staff Food was very delicious and affordable They definitely were very generous with the filling on the popusas and the tortillas a mano we're a great surprise. Overall food was very comforting and delicious. I will be coming back and definitely recommend to any Savi out there
google avatar

Luis C.

Yelp
The pupusas are the best in town as a fellow salvadoreño! Service is awesome! And very nice mom and pop vive!
google avatar

Amber Z.

Yelp
Wow, I Didn't know this hole in the wall was here. A hidden gem in Chinatown. Fresh, hot food is served quickly--multiple lunch specials. Lunch guest ordered Carne Asada tacos with beans and rice. I ordered Carne Asada wet burrito with green sauce, which came with chips. I will definitely have to go back to try different dishes.
google avatar

Irving L.

Yelp
Best Breakfast Burrito I've ever had!! This place is a must-stop every time I come to Vegas now. We grabbed a burrito on our way back home and I was blown away! I can't say enough good things about the food. I ordered the steak, potato and egg burrito which also came with beans and cheese. The ratio and care that went into preparing the burrito really showed. The flavor of everything worked so well together and was perfectly seasoned. Wrapped in a very tasty and authentic tortilla that held everything in while I travelled and ate. Both of the salsas (Green and Red) were so good. Usually I always use green salsa but I couldn't help but go back and forth between them since they were equally as good. I loved this place so much and wish it was closer to home.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Food here was excellent. We wanted a light meal so we had the 2 tacos, rice and beans. Would definitely come to visit next time in Las Vegas.
google avatar

DJ A.

Yelp
All these reviews saying "the best breakfast burrito in Vegas" Definitely not even close. The search continues!! First of all I ordered a $3 chicken taco It was a super weak 1 tortilla taco with unseasoned shredded chicken. NO FLAVOR AT ALL! (it's pictured) A dollar would have been too much for it! The burrito was "ok" AT BEST I ordered a steak/egg/potato breakfast burrito It came with beans. Honestly no need for it. It was really just filler. Didn't add to the burrito at all. If anything it just adds to size. The potato was definitely underseasoned. If seasoned at all. The steak was ok. But really not enough of it. The burrito costs $9 and they added 50 cents to use a card Definitely won't be back

Vegas C.

Yelp
Pupusas were good, came with friends and had a variety, all better than Las Pupusas but the rice was hard and old, by the time I ate it I was already full off the pupusas i ordered so wasn't that big of a deal. Small restaurant, quiet

Lindsay G.

Yelp
Clean, cute place with friendly service! Great burritos! Sweet secret spot for someone to go for really good food and chill place to recharge from Vegas.

Aapree G.

Yelp
This place does have so boom Pupusas I do recommend this place for some good pupusas the tamales was ok I'm so use to the Mexican tamales that the Salvadoran tamales was ok to me I like them alittle more firm these was alittle to soft for my liking but the flavors great they did not skip on seasonings so if u like the Salvadoran tamales then u would like this but I been trying to find some good pupusas cause I never tried them and I'm glad I did I give those 10/10 and the tamales 7/10 this is a good place I will be going back again to try more stuff

Yelp
This is a small charming location is a few minutes drive away from the strip. Staff was nice and friendly. The food was fairly quick but it didn't taste that way. I had the steak burrito smothered in verde sauce and could not have been happier with my decision. The ingredients melded well together, but each was delicious on their own as well. The verde sauce and tortilla were the components that bridged the juicy steak, fluffy rice, creamy sour cream, and refried beans that was topped with a bit of cheese. My buddy had the street tacos and they didn't stand a chance. He ripped through them so quickly I didn't have a chance to ask how they were until after he was done. He assured me they were great and he quickly transitioned to the chips and salsa. Overall we enjoyed our visit to this gem of Las Vegas. Reasonable pricey and great food is a recipe for 5 star reviews in my heart. Will return as soon as possible as an out of state visitor.
google avatar

Damian W.

Yelp
Food was average... I had the Carne Asada Burrito. The meat had decent flavor, but the red sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Service was good as I was the only person there. It's a very small place in a strip mall, so there is no real ambiance to really speak of. I would go back if I were in the area to try something different but wouldn't go out of my way to go here.
google avatar

Jman G.

Yelp
We loved their chorizo and steak breakfast burrito! It tasted fresh and authentic!!! Gracias Eduardo!
google avatar

Davey P.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and authentic Central American cuisine. The Central American breakfast with the plantains and cream is absolutely fantastic. The man who worked the front counter and took our order was an absolute gentleman and made sure we were taken care of. If you're looking for a taste of El Salvador look no further!
google avatar

Alex E.

Yelp
A family favorite! We love all the pupusas, currently obsessed with the sopa de gallina india and the Classic steak burrito! Everything is prepared and made to order, all ingredients are always fresh which we love! The aguas frescas are also house made, you're not getting koolaid which is a big deal for me! They're very attentive as well.

Yelp
Unfortunately gotta downgrade. Wait time for a breakfast steak platter and a breakfast burrito was wayyyy too long (30 minutes) for only being 10 minutes into opening. Breakfast burrito was ok but the steak platter was shmedium. Steak was kinda tough and I guess the only temp they offer is well done. Eggs were scrambled hard af, only option as well. Can't even imagine how long food takes during a busy lunch/dinner rush.

Beth K.

Yelp
Friendly, clean and owner run place to eat a super delicious freshly made breakfast burrito!! Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Angeline G.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito in Vegas! Homemade salsa, quality steak, and fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Tastes like South Texas Giant Breakfast Burritos. Off the strip, and worth the $9 Uber ride. It's authentic, non Sysco food and a breath of fresh air from the overpriced food at your hotel.

Alex C.

Yelp
We came to this restaurant on a cloudy weekday early in the evening after contemplating the daily dilemma of what to eat for dinner. Ultimately, my love of authentic Mexican food got the better of me and I searched online as to where I could get my fix. That's when I found El steak burrito. I had passed by this place dozens of times before never giving it a second thought, but after seeing some of the great reviews we decided to give it a try. This wasn't a fancy place by any means, but the service was good, we were seated right away and directed to the online menu. One staff member was rushing to rushing to serve food, take orders, seat customers, and tally table bills, so the few minutes we were waiting, we could easily understand. Our kids do not eat Mexican food much, so some empanadas seemed safe and they loved it. The enchiladas that I ordered came out fast and piping hot. Very authentic and very delicious. My wife's steak burrito, which I assume was their signature dish was also recommended to us and after eating it, we would very much recommend it to others. Overall, good food, good service, good prices! Will come back.

Yelp
Still trying to find the right Mexican taqueria since moving here a few months ago, and I'm still having a hard time finding my "go to taqueria" around here. If any of my fellow yelpers have any recommendations, please send them my way. One thing about this place is that they have really good tasting carne asada, so that's the only meat I tried so far. Burrito 4/5 - When it comes to my burrito I like it without beans so that I get more of the meat and salsa flavor. I just wish they added more meat since I think the rice took over most of the burrito. The rice was also a bit hard... kind of tasted like old rice that's been in the fridge. Maybe next time I'll just have no rice in my burrito and add extra onions and meat and extra salsa. Quesadilla 5/5 - The quesadilla was a bit greasy for me, but it tasted so good. Perfect meat and cheese ratio and the carne asada tasted so flavorful! Definitely getting their quesadilla again!! Taco 3/5 - The meat in the taco tasted okay to me since it was really dry, tasted like the meat was overcooked. I would also add more onions and cilantro and extra salsa. Not sure if I would get tacos here again. Tamale 3/5 - The tamale I had was a little dry. I also don't like the potatoes that they add to the chicken tamale.

Devri D.

Yelp
they have amazing coconut horchata and their pupusas are delicious! they made them to order and quickly. it's a cute fun place we love it and have been there multiple times!

Yelp
Wow! This place is fantastic! I came in in a panic because I needed food for 10 people pretty quickly, and they took care of me and made us a delicious dinner very tasty burritos. I placed my big order and they got to work immediately understanding that I was in a hurry. I ordered several Carne Asada burritos, a veggie burrito and a quesadilla for my crew. We also got some fresh guacamole, sour cream and some sauces. I snuck around the corner and watch them prepare everything in the kitchen, and was amazed that everything was made fresh! They took the steaks out of the fridge, grilled them and chop them up for Carne Asada. Nothing was pulled from a steam table or pre-prepared and they still made our meals quickly and with great flair. The guacamole was made fresh and tasted incredible. We had to get our order to go, but they have a nice dining room as well we're a few people were enjoying dinner. I can't wait to go back! The food is delicious!. Everyone raved about it.

Yelp
The good: El Steak Burrito serves affordable, fresh, and high-quality breakfast burritos. I got the egg and potato burrito and I loved it. It was hot as hell and I could tell they babied every ingredient in it to perfection. Their salsa was FANTASTIC. Spicy and ideal pouring consistency without being watery I was a little bummed that they charged $2 for either guacamole or avocado. That seems steep, especially for a burrito without meat in it. Friendly service, but expect a LONG wait for both dine-in and carry-out, even off-peak. I've never waited 30 minutes for a fast casual burrito before lol. We saw people who called in their order waiting around and complaining that the estimate was off. Anyway, I would recommend this spot if you're not in a rush.
google avatar

Yuni O.

Yelp
I remember my first time coming in to get some El Steak Burrito. I was a bit skeptical. Thinking it wasn't going to be as good. Oh, was I wrong. The food, the experience, the hospitality is A1 amazing hands down. I truly recommend you come check them out. Food is great and fresh.

Be N.

Yelp
Food was horrible *dry As for the soup. I got the seafood. It has 0 edible crab meat inside , fish was pure bones and it came with 3 over cooked shrimp. He took away the broth when I went to the bathroom so. I paid almost $20 and not a single bite I got. This is Monday July 3rd 2023

Alizabeth B.

Yelp
We work nearby and enjoy trying new places for our lunch break. The food was decent but what made my experience not so enjoyable was the wait. There was only one other couple in the restaurant who had already had their meal. I waited 35 minutes and my order was just their 2 taco carne asada lunch meal.
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
The service is always fast and friendly! The food is THE BEST!! Very authentic and full of flavor! Been coming here for years!
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
Surprisingly incredible. Dive-ish for sure but everything delivered. Breakfast taco with potato, beef, eggs and cheese

Larious G.

Yelp
Another gem restaurant at Las Vegas. One the best Mexican food at vey low price. 6 people including drinks less than $60. I recommend getting the lunch special tacos choices of steak, chicken, or shrimp including drinks for $10. I also recommend getting the carne asada burrito. The lunch special tacos comes with two tacos, rice side dish and beans. I requested to add lettuce and it was made fresh at the time of the order not ready made. Home style Mexican food best! Highly recommended if you're craving for Mexican food at Las Vegas!
