"Taking place Friday evenings, from 6 to 10 p.m., the Ponce City Market location of El Super Pan features its celebratory La Placita happy hour. Expect a San Juan-style event with the sound system pumping salsa, merengue, and reggae tunes, while folks dance beside the food stall and snack on $5 bar bites and $8 drinks specials, including spicy margaritas." - Eater Staff, Henna Bakshi

"El Super Pan is ideal when you’re looking for a quick bite before hitting the Beltline with friends. Everything on the Latin American sandwich menu is solid, including their crispy, melty cuban sandwich, which gets a kick from spicy mojo sauce and their golden, crunchy tostones. And it's one of the fastest operations in Ponce City Market, so in just minutes of ordering, you'll have a satisfying handheld meal that'll give you the energy to dodge roller warriors on the trail. photo credit: Amy Sinclair" - Jacinta Howard
"Chef Hector Santiago of El Super Pan is Puerto Rican, but fuses cultures through food at his daytime restaurant in Ponce City Market. “There is no Puerto Rican sandwich,” he said. So at El Super Pan, there’s a Tampa-style Cuban sandwich that pairs well with tostones. Every dish at El Super Pan is served with pique (a Puerto Rican sauce made of chili peppers and herbs in a jar of vinegar) for dipping and until the pandemic, the restaurant even made its bread. Now, General Muir bakes it for them, using Santiago’s original recipe. A meal here should be washed down with a guava agua fresca; while the drink originates in Mexico, the fruit is harvested in Cuba and other parts of the Caribbean." - Allison Ramirez
