Casual Mexican eatery with vegan options & patio

"Previously operating as the Mexican restaurant in Wild Heaven Beer’s West End taproom, this spot is being replaced in the taproom by the revived Eats concept, with no additional details about its offerings provided here." - Henna Bakshi
"El Tesoro’s original Edgewood location is a premier destination for tacos (it made our best taco guide). And their new outpost inside of Wild Heaven brewery in the West End brings us the best of both worlds: a seemingly unlimited selection of Wild Heaven brews (Emergency Beer us, please) paired with El Tesoro’s classic takes on tacos, burros, and mulitas. The giant space mimics all the best aspects of the uber-casual OG location. A handful of couches in the back keeps things comfortable and relaxed. And outdoor seating that’s not as cramped as their original patio is an option for those who enjoy a fat barbacoa burro with a breeze. Some things remain the same, like the long lines at the counter service ordering station. But long lines will never deter us from El Tesoro—it’s always worth the wait. photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker Pause Unmute" - Juli Horsford
"When you want tacos and craft beer at noon (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere), make your move to El Tesoro at Lee + White, located inside Wild Heaven. It’s the perfect spot to chit-chat if you've been silently typing away at your desk all morning—whether it’s with your fellow patrons in the fast-moving line or a conversation at the communal metal table. Order the flavorful tinga de pollo with juicy braised chicken and chipotle salsa, grab a lager, and hang out on the couch in the back of the space with your beer and taco in hand. The whole experience is very heavy on the "break" part of lunch break." - jacinta howard
"Whenever you’re feeling most alone, a walk on the BeltLine will guarantee some type of human interaction, even if it’s a rogue teen nearly running you over with a scooter. When you tire of the pavement, head to El Tesoro’s outpost on the West End trail inside of Wild Heaven. The cavernous seating area in the brewery is usually full of beer lovers and the taco-obsessed (two of our favorite kinds of people). But the best companions here are the delicious barbacoa taco and a draft brew. Plop yourself down on a communal table, and even if you don’t talk to anyone, the hustle and bustle of the massive space feels like you’re part of the action. "In the early stages of dating (when we’re high-key looking for red flags), a casual spot helps keep pressure low. Hit up a combo that has soul-mate level chemistry with Wild Heaven beers and El Tesoro tacos in the West End’s Lee + White complex. Grab the Emergency Beer and settle on the comfy couches in the back. It's not a candle-lit dinner, but sitting shoulder-to-shoulder is far more intimate than table-top dining. Snacky foods like queso, salsas, and guac served with their homemade chips work if you’re pacing for a longer night. Then, return to the counter to snag the meaty carne asada taco or a fat barbacoa burro stuffed with rice, beans, and onions. If love isn’t in the cards, at least the food is good enough for a second date." - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams
