The Khao Soi is really good. I don't usually leave reviews but this was 10/10. The beef had tender and crispy bits (amazing), the curry is insane flavorful- panang + acid + heat + I'm tasting peanuts for some reason. And not super spicy for me at medium (I might try the spicy option, but no "Thai spicy" for me). I ate half before taking the picture sorry! Extra points for cute kitties in the doorway😺

I got pineapple fried rice so good! I love their wonton soup and Thai boat. I love to eat everything with their chili oil omg it’s good, perfect spicy heat!

Google
Very good food. The quantity was a lot! We were more than full with our meals. Ordered Egg Rolls, Veg pad Thai with tofu, veg pad see eww with tofu and 2 Thai teas. The best part was that there was less wastage, they use paper straws and reusable steel cutlery. They have paper boxes and paper bags for to-go. Love it when restaurant owners are being responsible and not adding more pollution to our beautiful planet. :) New update- Re-visited again and this restaurant never failed us. The food was yummy as usual. We ordered Golden Tofu, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Mango with Sticky Rice, and Thai iced tea. The staff was courteous and friendly. Quick service. The ambiance was good, no complaints. Their portions are big, their billing is very reasonable. Returned home happy with our stomachs full and our pockets not bruised, lol. :)

Google
Green curry was very tasty, quite meaty. Waitress refilled water without having to ask. Good Thai iced tea too, sweet and fragrant. Spicy meter is reasonable, "very spicy" is just about right for spicy-lovers (maybe a bit mild.) For regular folks it's quite SPICY 🥵 makes your scalp sweat

Google
My first time here and I discovered that I love Thai food. It's so flavorful, freshly made and the cashier was really nice and had patience with me bc I was so undecided on what to order. You can dine in or take out & there us plenty of parking

Google
Home made Thai cooking highly recommended for those craving Thai food they have a lot to choose from there menu and everything is at an affordable price and they make one of the best chicken curries in the LBC the curry was made with love and had lots of flavor I was actually happy they gave more chicken than potato or carrots they give you so much food plenty enough to take home or eat the rest for later honestly the service was fast and the owners here are very nice people they also have Thai tea which taste good which they had a bigger size

Google
I found this place about 3 years ago while visiting Long Beach. I finally had the opportunity to go back this past weekend and it’s as good as I remember. The service here is amazing, the restaurant is run by a handful of very friendly ladies. They were very attentive and helpful with the menu. I ordered chicken fried dumplings for my appetizer with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. For my entrees I ordered the chicken pad Thai and the spicy fried rice with chicken. Everything was tasty! We ordered the spicy fried rice under ‘medium’ spicy and it was a little too spicy for my taste, but still bearable and delicious. Keep that in mind if you can’t handle spicy foods. I also ordered a young coconut water. Very refreshing. And this place doesn’t serve alcohol. But no biggie, their Thai ice tea and other beverages go great with the dishes. Can’t wait to go back.

Yelp
So I'm not generally so good at updating old reviews - *very* old in this case - but I feel like it would be unfair to leave a review from a decade up, that was of the free office catered lunch we're no longer receiving (post-covid they changed their catering vendors completely), given that is not how most people would be getting food from here, and that we finally did eat here in person a few months ago (subsequent to which, we have also been back several times, usually for pickup orders.) So I can confirm: Yes, their service in person is indeed great. Super friendly people the one time we dined in, everything came out super quickly, and every time we order pickup, it's ready exactly on time, and they've been super friendly then, too. Yes, the pad se ew is still very good. It isn't actually *better* in person than I remembered it being from their catering, but I remembered it being very good, and it is indeed still very good. Solid portion size, perfectly cooked, good amount of both meat and Chinese broccoli - solid. (I've been too nervous to try their Pad Thai to see if it's improved from the terrible Pad Thai I remember from a decade ago, though. :p) We usually get an order of pad se ew whenever we order food here (it's probably both of our favorite Thai noodle dish, though it can definitely vary in quality. Theirs is quite good.) One time we tried the seafood curry stir-fry - also highly recommended. Pricier than other meat options, but you get a bunch of quality seafood, which is definitely just getting pricey. Bunch of squid and shrimp, and semi-unexpectedly, big, juicy scallops, not the dinky, flavorless ones you usually get in that sort of dish. Great (at least as of a few months ago, which is when we ordered it.) One time I tried their khao soi. It is now my current favorite khao soi, beating both ST Noodle and Thai District by *just* a hair (both also great. That's a dish you really want to eat in the restaurant, though, and we're usually getting takeout, so I haven't had it here again.) One time my wife got the Mongolian beef, as a lunch special. I tried a bite and agreed it was very good, though I wouldn't ever go out of my way to get Mongolian beef at a restaurant when I could get a Thai curry or noodle dish. It was a very affordable lunch special, though, and my wife raves about it. The star of the show here, the reason we keep coming back after we tried the appetizer on a whim the first time even though we have several closer Thai places we can order from, and the one thing we subsequently pretty much always order - their sour sausage appetizer is SOOOO good. It's just crispy sausage with a side of ginger and raw green cabbage, but seriously, their sausage is some of the best sausage we've had, and goes so well with the raw ginger and cabbage (though they gave us a lot more ginger and cabbage when we ate it in person than they seem to generally give us when we order it for pickup, which is too bad. The star of the show is obviously the sausage, though, which has been consistently a solid amount for the price, given how good it is. It's a reason to come back, by itself.) The only thing I will say negatively about them: I felt like their Thai tea is a bit bland.

Yelp
Damn. Food is GOOD here. Walked in with my boyfriend recently, around 3 or 4pm I think, on a Sunday... There was no one in there and we were greeted by a friendly server doing side work. She says to sit anywhere and scan the QR code for the menu. With no one being in there, we wondered how the experience was gonna be. Having been a server before, I knew this time of day is right before the typical dinner rush so the place being empty doesn't exactly mean it ain't worth trying. Super happy we stayed. The food is soulfully good! We had the basil beef, eggplant and tofu and pineapple curry fried cried. That rice is loaded with shrimp and chicken and everything was just so very good. Towards the end of our meal, the crowd started rolling in. We were the first to eat but obviously not the last. Ambiance? Clean and quiet. Thank you for feeding us!

Yelp
3.5 stars We shared some noodles for lunch. Each portion ran us around $16 without any protein upgrades. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken ($16). The stir-fried rice noodles come with plenty of Chinese broccoli, egg, and chicken. I asked for my noodles to be medium spicy, though I think I prefer the taste of spicy sambal chili paste. The noodles were fine, but missing that wok hei taste. Without that char, they kinda just fell flat. I also had bites of the pad Thai with chicken ($16). In addition to the chicken, these came with eggs, bean sprouts, and ground peanuts. I found the noodles to be a tad too sour for my liking. Everything tasted as it should - serviceable, but nothing special.
google avatar

Summer H.

Yelp
Food is really good, medium spicy is very spicy. Yellow Curry is good, the salad is also very good.

Yelp
A little hole in the wall joint. Food was pretty tasty Thai/Laos. A little different than what I am used to, but, that's the beauty of trying something new, seems pretty authentic. Food: *I had some sort of spicy noodle soup (the broth was very rich in flavor but I do wish they told me it had tripe!!! Yuck, I do not like tripe!) *spicy chicken and basil (I think my husband got medium n it was a bit too spicy for him.) *beef Pad sew ew - very good! It was a little different cooked then amused or but I did like it. Spice level is very much of a Thai spice and not American. I personally like more Asian spice than the diluted American level of spice. So if you are not used to spicy food, beware and get it very mild. Tip: Close to the Miller Children Hospital.

Yelp
Wow - this place is half a mile from my house and I kept saying I needed to try it. Well, I finally did and it was great! Best fried rice I've ever had. Noodles were also delicious. Will definitely be returning here. Staff was very friendly and you can tell when you walk in it's gonna be good. We took ours to go but as we showed up a bunch of people arrived and it seems like it would be a decent place to sit and eat. I also liked the music they were playing inside.

Yelp
Tried Elephant Thai Kitchen for the first time and was honestly impressed with the flavor execution across the board. We had the Drunken Noodles, Tom Kha, and Panang Curry. All three delivered. The Drunken Noodles had great wok hei with a nice kick and perfectly chewy noodles. Tom Kha was rich, aromatic, and had just the right balance of tangy lemongrass and creamy coconut. The Panang Curry was probably the standout. Deep nutty flavor with a smooth velvety texture that paired great with jasmine rice. Service was good. Staff was attentive without being overbearing and the food came out fresh and timely. Prices were a little higher than what I usually expect for Thai, but the quality and portions helped justify it. Overall, a solid spot. Flavor-forward dishes, cozy vibe, and reliable execution. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
This place really hits every time! We came on a Tues evening to celebrate a casual birthday. Ordered yellow & green curries, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, Thai style catfish, Larb salad, Papaya salad. Everything was satisfying and tasty! Service was excellent. We had a lovely, friendly waitress who even gave us a slice of her homemade cake for my fiancé's birthday on the house!

Jay F.

Yelp
Food was Amazing, music was great and not too loud. The service was quick and friendly. Make sure to say hi to sushi the furry bodyguard. I recommend the drunken Noodle
google avatar

Angel L.

Yelp
Good food and fast service! Pad See Ew and a side of sticky rice to go. It was ready within five minutes or so. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were good. My dish was a little smokier in flavor than I like but overall, it was a good experience and the flavors were good.
google avatar

Timothy D.

Yelp
Quick service, good prices, deeeelicious food. I ordered a spicy beef soup and my friend ordered beef larb salad. Both were delicious but next time I'll order MEDIUM not spicy on the beef soup!
google avatar

Sherri B.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try this place for awhile...it was worth the wait I only ordered the satay which was delicious, I ate every bite. I chose to take home my fish curry, also delicious. I'll definitely be back. The food and service were both amazing.

Frankie W.

Yelp
I like the food, but I can handle when the lady works by herself and cleans tables (with her fingers in the glasses), handles money and then serves food without even pretending to have washed her hands. Sad to say I will not go back. Hopefully they change this.
google avatar

Yelp
I came in on Tuesday, ordered a couple of pad see ews and some fried dumplings...the dumplings were ok, but the noodles were WAY TO SOUR/BITTER! I think it was the oyster sauce. We only had a few bites and tossed it. Was a bummer because the meal was like 50 bucks. I was going to call, but it was just past closing and its so hard to get through during bussiness hours!

Yelp
This is my go to place in long beach for Thai food. For over 10 years I've been coming for both dine in and take out. The family that owns this business are so friendly and you can tell that they put their heart into the food! Over the years, Tippy and Moon have been amazing. I also remember the grandmother cooking in the kitchen and having the kindest smile. I started ordering take out in the past few years and haven't been to the actual restaurant in a while. From what i remember, the ambience was not fancy and has bright green walls with a fish tank. Not sure if it still looks this way. You don't come here to be impressed by the decor, but you will definitely be impressed by the food and service. Over the years, I've had pretty much everything on the menu. My favorite thing is the sour sausage. Don't skip it! The sausage is served with ginger, peanuts, raw garlic, and cabbage. I like to chop it all up and eat it as a salad. It hits all the right spots on the taste buds! Years ago, I have the best memory of eating here in person just before i took a trip to Thailand. Tippy and Moon gave me a good rundown of what to expect from the street food in Thailand. Their suggestions were so helpful when cruising through the floating market outside of Bangkok. This will forever be my favorite restaurant in Long Beach!!
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
Delicious Thai place! I enjoyed the Drunken Noodles and the Mango Sticky Rice. Would recommend both. They have a small parking lot behind the restaurant otherwise there's plenty of street parking in the area.
google avatar

Ken C.

Yelp
When I eat Thai food, I look for places that don't compromise on giving balance between sweet, spicy, and sour. Great thai food will make your taste buds dance between those sensations. I think that the problem I tend to run into with places are that thai food could be too sweet without being spicy or sour enough, which makes it more bland. Regardless of whether or not you can handle heat, I highly recommend that you start with their Thai BBQ pork. It's not spicy, but there's nice, chargrilled flavor, and their sauce is addictive. It's my favorite dish here. If you are able to handle heat, I think their curries are great. I usually go with a yellow curry. I like to order curries spicy and they deliver, but you still get nice balance. Noodle dishes tend to be popular and I do like their acidic, spicy papaya salads as well. If you get their food spicy, then you will likely need one of their thai teas to balance out the spice. LB is a city rich in Thai and Cambodian flavors. Even still, I feel that Elephant Thai is a hidden gem in LB.

Yelp
Wowzers! Flavor on flavor on flavor! I informed my server of my food sensitivities and allergies and she made sure I ordered something safe. The green pepper beef is so delicious! The beef is tender and medium spicy is a great kick! Husband enjoyed the red curry with tofu. We will definitely be back.

Destiny S.

Yelp
I've been looking for a Thai food place that was as good as when I was in Thailand myself, and this by far is one of the best Thai places that I have found. Service was very good, everyone was so sweet. Overall a great experience

Yelp
Food and service is always so good here. The pounded jackfruit is super good when they have it, but literally everything on the menu is amazing. The ladies working here are always so nice and helpful
google avatar

Gabby A.

Yelp
Food was great...literally down the street from where I live..I actually walked. Food was worth the walk. I recommend this place very good Pad See Ew here.

Delanie W.

Yelp
I ordered through uber eats and the food was hot, portions were generous. The best part is I called the restaurant and they made sure everything was gluten free. The taste, texture and freshness of items were superb!!! What a way to celebrate the new year!!

Bryan

Yelp
I've tried several Thai restaurants in the last 5 years. All have been solid. THIS place though, is a gem Worth the trip. The most authentic and tasty dishes. Great and comforting service.
google avatar

Yelp
Hole in the wall places always have the best food. Boat Noodles here is very flavorful! When I said I want very spicy, I mean it and this place delivered lol. My husband also liked their pad see ew dish as well. The owners are attentive and sweet, wish that I live closer to come here more often.
google avatar

Tuyetnhi M.

Yelp
Authentic food! I love Thai boat noodles and a lot of places have 'Amercianized' it. Nope, not here! It's how it should be and they put ong choy veggies/watercress, unlike a lot of Thai restaurants where they put Chinese Broccoli instead (Chinese broccoli is a no-no for this). 5/5 for the Thai boat! The lunch specials are great and right portions and pricing. Besides the noodles, we ordered the beef chow mein lunch special, and the crispy pork and chinese broccoli lunch special. I wish the chow mein noodles were thicker. It's thin like yakisoba noodles. It was a 4/5 in my book, but still good! The cripsy pork and rice, a 5/5. Casual type of restaurant and it is like a hole in the wall type of place for sure, but don't let that deter you! The service was also good and not overly attentive. We will be back.
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
Most authentic and delicious Thai food I've ever had! Chicken Satay was bursting with flavor and pairs perfectly with the peanut sauce and cucumber salad. The pork jerky had a real smokey bbq taste. The Rad Naa, Pad Thai, and Pad Woon Sen are all delicious as well. They even have a green Thai tea that I've never heard of which was a little less sweet than the regular Thai tea and had a more floral taste. I prefer drinks that are not too sweet so it was perfect for me! Would eat here again in an instant!
google avatar

Yelp
Cozy, hole in the wall business serving up authentic Thai cuisine and fast, friendly service! - Easy parking with a small lot in the back - Good amount of indoor seating along with a single stall restroom - Service was perfect - we were greeted and seated promptly. Our orders were brought out quickly with frequent check ups. Menu is now a QR code! - Everything we ordered was delicious! Som Tum salad was crunchy, refreshing, and paired well with everything. Squid Spicy Salad was fresh, spicy, and very oniony; squid pieces were bouncy but had little flavor. Shrimp Pad Thai was great - tangy sauce and juicy shrimp. Wor Wonton Soup was warm and filling. Khao Soi and Thai Boat Noodle are must orders - both were so flavorful with perfect noodles and toppings! - Green Thai iced tea was so pretty but could use more tea flavor I highly recommend this spot and will continue to support them!
google avatar

Joy G.

Yelp
Food: -BBQ pork - looks like your standard bbq pork but what sets them aside is the dipping sauce it comes with. It takes it to a whole other level. I don't even share this dish with my bf. We both get 1 each for ourselves -Thai Boat Noodle (mild) with thin noodles- I take out the tripe and liver, sub for more beef. This also comes with a dipping sauce that I dip my meat in and I have to say it's so good!! Full of flavor. To add a little more of a kick, I add a little bit of the dry chili flakes and jalapeños. -Garlic Fried Wings - love the flavor on these! Also crispy. We don't use the sweet dipping sauce it comes with for this cause it's already flavorful. My 8 year old boys love this with rice. -Tom Yum soup with chicken (mild) - good and a standard -Lunch special - garlic beef is tasty! Every time I can go and eat during lunchtime and take advantage of their lunch specials, I go! To add spice, I ask for a side of fish sauce chili that I get a little of for some bites with beef and rice. Delicious! You can choose between a salad or soup and I always get soup. -Thai iced tea or Thai iced coffee - good and standard. The sweetness of it helps with any spiciness of the dishes. Tippy is the nicest!! Wonderful customer service by her. She handles the busy restaurant well! She quickly takes our order and food comes out (usually) in less than 10 mins. Will always be my go to Thai restaurant!

Yelp
Everything ordered was delicious! even my difficult to please Thai wife and daughter were happy.

Yelp
Sawasdeeka this is a late post. I stop by this place a week ago. I've been missing Thailand. I wanna go back. This place is definitely owned by a mom n pop. The prices will not break the bank and the food is delicious! It was my first time trying Khao Soi... if you've never heard of it, it's like a curry noodle soup. They bring it out with a plate of red onions. Lime, and some type of pickled cabbage. I mixed it all in with the soup - it was super savory and spicy. Not spicy like you're burning your tongue off, but more like a savory spicy. Although khao Soi comes with chicken or shrimp, you can make it vegetarian and add tofu instead. They even offered 2 types of tofu- fried or regular. I opted for the regular. Then the waitress asked what level spicy- I told her "I want Thai level, whatever level Thai people eat. I like spicy". That waitress smiled and said ok. I did Anjali mudra and said Kop Kun Ka. Her eyes widened and she smiled and said kop kun ka and took the menu. I enjoy making people from other countries feel welcome in our country. Sharing good vibes with people who make your food will in turn have them put positive energy energy in the preparation of your food. Something about this soup made me feel less guilty about drinking the broth, compared to pork based ramen broth. I washed it all down with Thai tea. I'd recommend this place to family and friends to get a taste of authentic Thai food.
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
I went there to get some Khao Soi Soup (my favorite). I took the soup to go and it was packaged well and separate so it wasn't soggy. The only complaint I have is that there wasn't enough soup juice for the meal. For $17 it should be in a bigger to go container. There was too many noodles and it ended up soaking up the soup. I made a stop there for the soup as I now live in Rialto, California. When I live down the street in Long Beach from the restaurant, their food was excellent. Their food is still really fresh and looks good and good presentation. I just felt that the soup could've been a little bit more for the price.

Yelp
Tippy was so nice, she took our order immediately and checked on us often. The food is amazing here! chicken thohm kaa 1000/10 full of flavor (we got medium but next time will order spicy) Chicken pad see eww - 100/10 so flavorful, and fresh. Added chilli juice and flakes - perfect! Thai iced coffee - 10/10 really strong and not too sweet Overall would give this place more stars if I could. Lots of tables and parking. Love the comfort food :)

Yelp
Got the moo dad deaw and it perfectly seasoned and the spicy sauce was a perfect add on. The mango sticky rice was very good and perfect sweet.

Yelp
Small family restaurant. Authentic and fresh food. Because it is a small restaurant I don't recommend very large parties. Food came out pretty fast. Even thought the restaurant seemed busy. Good customer service.

The staff was courteous and friendly. Quick service. The ambiance was good, no complaints. Their portions are big, their billing is very reasonable. Yelp
Elephant Thai Kitchen has delicious Thai food with a menu with a good amount of options. I saw a few items that very few Thai restaurants I've been to offer. I ordered a Thai staple- pad kee mao with tofu. One of my friends ordered another staple- pad see ew with chicken. Both cure a craving you may have for Thai food. Although they may be standard staples, they were both done well. Another friend ordered a khao soi. It was delicious and I liked the fried noodle garnish. Presentation was pretty. The restaurant has a very cozy feel. Service was great. They have their own parking lot behind the restaurant.

Yelp
This hole in the wall Thai restaurant serves pretty good Thai soups and curries that hit the spot. We came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. My party of 3 ordered the papaya salad, Tom kah Kai soup, green curry, pad Thai, and mango sticky rice. -Papaya salad 2/5: this salad came with green papaya, Thai chili, tomato, crushed peanuts with lime. The salad was drenched in the sauce and it was quite sour. -Tom Kah Kai Soup w/ chicken 4/5: the soup is made with coconut milk, chicken, straw mushroom, galanga, and lemongrass. I enjoyed the flavor of this creamy soup with the flavor of coconut and lemongrass -Green Curry w/ chicken 5/5: this popular curry came with a bowl of rice and was my favorite dish for the good flavor -Pad Thai w/ shrimp 4/5: Thai rice noodle dish with egg, bean sprouts and ground peanuts. The noodles were on the sweeter side and tasted decent -Mango Sticky Rice 4.5/5: warm sweet sticky rice with sweet mango was a great way to end the meal. Overall, this spot serves good Thai food in the Long Beach area, but I've had better. They do have a parking lot behind the restaurant which is nice.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem and one of the best authentic Thai restaurant in Long Beach. The food was authentic, delicious and flavorful. We love the Moo Ping, Thai BBQ chicken, papaya salad and chicken satay. Staff were friendly, greeted us at the front and came by often to check-in if we're enjoying our food. Ambiance is casual, cozy and typical family-run Thai restaurant. There is a small parking lot in the back (not too far from the 405 Freeway). Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. When e stop by during lunch I tend to order shrimp fried rice and some tom yum soup with a Thai tea. Customer service is great never had a problem.

Yelp
This was quite the dinning experience. Mother and I heard so many rave reviews about Elephant Thai. It was decided to see for ourselves. We ordered Wor Wong Ton soup. It was delicious and refreshing. Then we opted for Pad See Ew with shrimp and tofu. Believe me the taste was delightful. We also extended our compliments to Tip and Sonny. They were so pleasant and inviting. We have made beautiful new friend. Believe me, mom and I will return soon.

Yelp
Decided to order from elephant Thai kitchen Haven't had it for awhile and once again it wasn't a disappointment . Rad na beef was full of delicious flavor . Papaya salad was sweet and sour at the same time. Crispy wings was delicious and crispy

Yelp
Chicken 65 a get it, love it, no need to thank me. Seriously, Elephant Thai Kitchen has amazing flavors, great portion sizes, and makes me want to eat more even when I'm full. The Pad See Ew and Pad Thai are delicious, robust flavors, and they pack the to go boxes to the limit. Have only done DoorDash, but will be in-store soon.

Yelp
This place is the only Thai restaurant I eat at here in Long Beach. It's near my house, so it's very convenient. Their menu is fantastic, and everything I have ordered has been wonderful. I would highly suggest the Thai Jerky, Mongolian Beef, Tum Yum soup, Lemon Salmon, Garlic Trout and everything else! The staff are very friendly, and always make sure I am happy.

Angelina M.

Yelp
This place is amazing the lady here always takes care of me and makes sure I have fresh delicious food since I was pregnant. Still come till this day , service is fast food is fresh and delicious. This place is the Bomb.
