The 15 Best Restaurants In Scottsdale, Arizona - Scottsdale - The Infatuation

"This trendy Mediterranean restaurant strikes the perfect balance between a lively party vibe and a spot where you can actually have a conversation. Even if your Old Town bottle service days are behind you, you’ll likely appreciate the espresso martinis or the deep house playlist that might keep you bouncing in your bar seat. The whipped eggplant, dripping in olive oil, is the move (think of it as the more decadent cousin of your favorite hummus) and served with an oversized, puffed-up puccia bread that looks like it could float off the bar at any moment. The wood-fired pizzas are also non-negotiable (order the one with hot honey). And when your tab comes, you’ll probably convince yourself that another round of mezcal espresso martinis is necessary, and see how you can scheme your way into the secret cocktail lounge, Bar Bambino." - lauren topor

Google
Omg this place is AMAZING. Hands down our favorite meal in Scottsdale. Definitely make sure to make a reservation in advance. I saw this place on an article titled “prettiest restaurants in Scottsdale” as well as “best restaurants in Scottsdale” both proved to be true. It seriously is beautiful both inside and outside. They have a huge drink menu filled with so many fun drinks everyone is sure to find something they like. They also have great appetizers. We got the octopus which was so good omg as well as the meatballs. For our meals we got some fish, some pasta, a salad, steak, we basically tried all categories. Everything was seriously so good. Our waiter was very bubbly, energetic, and attentive. She made sure we had a great meal. For parking you can either valet or park in the crazy and busy parking deck. We will 1000% be recommending this place and coming back on our next trip.

Google
Elephante Scottsdale definitely delivers on the vibe - it's very Scottsdale in the best way. Beautiful atmosphere, stylish crowd, and a great place to bring out-of-town guests who want that elevated AZ dining experience. The food was solid. We ordered the Margherita pizza, pesto pasta, and vodka pasta, and all three were tasty and well executed. No complaints on flavor or quality. Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. Our waitress seemed disengaged and never checked in on us. We actually wanted to order more food and drinks, but by the time she came back around, we were already finished and ready to leave. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and the food is good, but the service could use some improving. Still a nice spot for visitors or a special occasion.

Google
100% hype and 10% substance. Went to dinner here for our anniversary and were disappointed. The place is comfortable and modern with a tropical vibe. They require a credit card for a reservation, so we just drove there on a weekday and took our chances and were seated right a way around 5:30PM. The service was good, but the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the arancini and the whipped eggplant, and the branzino with green sauce and ragu bianco. For desert we had the pavlova and the tiramisu. The arancini was flavorless, but the whipped eggplant with the pic is bread was heavenly and the star of the show. The branzino was flavorless with a sour green sauce. The ragu was meh and nothing memorable. The pavlova was ok the exception being the passion fruit sauce so sour that it gave us a heartburn. The tiramisu was the absolute worst tiramisu we’ve ever had as it was very unbalanced with too much bitter chocolate and not enough coffee. Prices very high for the quality of the food. We will not return and can’t recommend this place to anyone.

Google
We enjoyed the express lunch. We made reservations and I'm glad we did because the place was fairly busy. It's a trendy spot with very nice staff. I was particularly happy with all the appetizers and for the main course, my favorite dish was the vodka pasta.

Google
Amazing service and delicious food = perfect combination. Every selection was just perfect. Their vodka sauce pasta and Margherita pizza were sublime. The express menu had a wonderful selection and the three courses were more than plenty. Can't wait to go back.

Google
Great ambiance, though a bit noisy, with a lively crowd. Service was quick and attentive, and our waitress was excellent. The food was fantastic, and the drinks, while slightly pricey, were well worth it. We were seated at a small tall table, but there were plenty of nicer seating options available. I’d recommend making a reservation to get the best spot.

Google
Newly opened. Recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. Quite possibly the best Vodka pasta I have ever had… and I have had a lot. Don’t miss it!! Also shared a margarita pizza, eggplant dip and meatballs. All were delicious. The team were very attentive and helpful and the restaurant brings moody contemporary vibes. One of the best places I’ve eaten in Scottsdale for a long time.

We originally didn’t plan to have dinner here but ended up staying after seeing how vibey it was. The place feels like the trendy spot in town—everyone’s dressed up, and it’s buzzing with energy. It was packed, so we had to queue for a table. The hostess said there were about four tables ahead of us but that turnover was fast, so we decided to wait and grabbed a drink at the bar. It was super busy, so we stood around for a while since there weren’t any seats. About 50 minutes later, our table still wasn’t ready, but our bartender noticed and managed to get us seats when she saw someone settling their bill. We really appreciated that—especially since others who came after us tried to grab the seats too. In the end, we decided to eat at the bar, and she was amazing the entire time—so patient and attentive despite how slammed she was. The food was absolutely delicious. The whipped eggplant was a standout—something you don’t often find in the US. The scampi squid ink pasta was fresh and full of flavor, and the chicken was way bigger than expected, cooked perfectly with crispy skin and juicy meat. Super garlicky with just the right amount of spice. We’ll definitely be back—great food, great vibes, and even better service.

Yelp
Élephante is the place you want to go when you want to feel like you're on vacation in another country. It gave Tulum vibes and the music was a vibe. It's super insatgrammable. My friends brought me here for my birthday and I enjoyed every minute of it. The food was so good! I feel like places like this are a hit or miss but Élephante was a hit for me. We started with the eggplant dip - the bread was so good. We shared the vodka sauce pasta (10/10) excellent and the carbonara (7/10) it tasted too doughy for me. We also got a soppressata pizza for the table which was also good! Drinks were yummmmy Service was good our waitress was attentive which is something I always appreciate.

Yelp
We finally were able to meet up, a small group of friends for dinner. We made reservations for 5:30. We had a party of 6 and our seating area was NOT ok for 6 people. Three men and three women. Appetizers were fine - dinner portions were minimal for the pricing. I wish we would have went to Steak 44. The $120 ribeye was poorly cooked and lacked flavor. Scallops, small portion and you get 3. Tortellini was not cooked well enough, another one minute of cook time would have been great. As we sat, a server or manager dropped glass which shattered under our table and the alcohol in the drink flew all over our shoes and under our table so we had to stop and wait as a lady waited for someone to bring a broom to clean it up. They don't give you time to enjoy the small portions of food. It's almost like they want to turn a table in under an hour. Likely hood of going back, zero.

Yelp
Wouldn't let me place a pizza take out order on a slow Tuesday summers Eve.. They make pizzas, & have to-go pizza boxes but the woman who answered the phone said I would need to walk in to the bar to place a take out order with a bartender.. I asked to speak to a bartender so they can start my order while I head that way and she said "I'm in the office, sorry, and refused to help me any further or get a bartender on the phone. I know they use Toast and both managers as well as hostesses have the ability to open a takeout tab using the mobile POS and she simply didn't want to or their policy is simply not to. Either way, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Yelp
Whatever you do, you muse order the vodka pasta.... its the bomb. I've been here twice and both times have been great. Staff is friendly and they always check up on you. The inside is spacious and almost transports you to another place as its beautifully decorated. Do check this place out!

Yelp
Absolutely LOVED elephante! I was hesitant to try it because of the mixed reviews! It was FIRE! The waitress was so sweet (didn't get her name, unfortunately, but she's tall and beautiful and so sweet and kind), the food was cooked perfectly especially that pita bread (OMG!). I'd go back just for the pita! Seriously! The pomodoro sauce with the al dente tortellini (just like it's done in Italy) was perfection and the iberico pork tasted like a perfectly charred light tasting steak. Melt in your mouth tender. So good! I'm going back for the pita with eggplant. We were doing a staycation so I couldn't easily take leftovers and the hubby doesn't like eggplant. So we did the pita with cheese and honey (which hubby eats), which was still amazing, but I've heard the eggplant is unreal! Will be getting the eggplant and pita next time for sure! PROS 1. Unreal food. Perfectly cooked. 2. The PITA! IYKYK! 3. Great waitstaff 4. Fun vibe 5. Beautiful decor 6. Nightclub right next door (need to try next time even though I'm a lot older than the normal clientele. The waitress offered to get us in, but I didn't feel dressed for it so we'll be back when I have some new shoes and a sexy dress. Hahaha). CONS 1. Tables are a little too close to one another, but we made friends with the ladies next to us who were visiting from SC. 2. A tad loud so probably not the best for a first date.

Yelp
My daughter picked Elephante for her birthday dinner, and it was a great choice. The place is lively and stylish -- perfect for a celebration. It was my first time here, and the food did not disappoint. We started with Whipped Eggplant (surprisingly good), Calamari Fritti, and Hamachi Carpaccio -- all fresh and flavorful. For mains, I ordered the Prime Skirt Steak. It was okay, but not as tender as a prime rib or filet mignon (which aren't on the menu), but the Veal Milanese was excellent and huge -- easily enough for two. My daughter and her friend had Vodka Sauce pasta and Gemelli Scampi, both delicious. I'd recommend the pasta over the steak. We finished with Tiramisu, Chocolate Torta, and Pavlova -- all great, even after a big meal. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was friendly, and Mark, the manager, went above and beyond. When my wife lost her ring, the staff helped search thoroughly. Mark even shared his number and promised to follow up. Outstanding food and truly caring service -- we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch and thought this place was really cute. There's definitely some buzz around it (being from Santa Monica and all) so I was curious to check it out. The entrance is kind of tucked away, so if you're coming from the parking lot, look for an open door near the outside. Way easier than going through the mall. The decor is super cool, kind of gives off relaxed, trendy nightlife vibes even during the day. I sat at the bar and got helped right away. Honestly, the whole menu looked bomb, but I went with the server's pick: the Ragu Bianco. It did not disappoint. The pasta was perfectly al dente (just how I like it), and the mix of sausage, sauce, and greens hit all the right notes. Super tasty and felt like the perfect lunch. I'd definitely come back. The food was great, service was friendly, and the vibe was chill. If you're in the area and want a fun, casual spot to eat? This is it.

Yelp
Shoutout to our server Emily! She gave us the best recommendations especially since I usually order the whipped eggplant dip and the vodka pasta. This time... ok I had to get the whipped eggplant dip again. lol! Cmon! For those of you who have been to elephante in Santa Monica, you know this is the staple appetizer to order. It's so good! It has olive oil and sea salt flakes and comes out HOT! Now this time I didn't get the vodka pasta but it's my favorite pasta there. This time I tried the ragu and it had a good creamy flavor with broccolini and very much worth sharing. The portion sizes are worth the money. I highly recommend coming here and sharing plates with your friends. Now at this point if you still have room... try the pistachio sundae! Holy crap this had everything from caramel thin flakes, pistachio marshmallows that have a nice mochi texture and some other textures with a nice caramel crunch. Now I was so stuffed after this but I'm so glad I tried this dessert. Definitely worth it if you have space for more. :)

Yelp
Our waitress Rae was great! We told her what we like and dietary restrictions and she put an order together that did not disappoint. All the flavors were unique and delicious. Food was light and enjoyable. Service all around was great. They kept our water glasses full and timed the courses perfectly. The cocktails were a little sweet but they seemed to have a wide variety to try. Everyone that worked there was friendly, attentive, and hustling to make a great experience.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of getting to try out Elephante tonight for the first time. We made a reservation and were seated right at the time, which was great since the place was packed (Friday night). Our waitress, Sophie was very attentive and friendly and made some great recommendations. We decided to try the Puccia & Eggplant dip and Calamari as our appetizers (both were amazing but the Puccia & Dip was my favorite.) For drinks we went with the White Elephant and the Rosa Negroni. Both were flavorful and the addition of the custom ice cube in the Negroni was a nice touch. For entrees we decided to go with the Vodka Pasta and the Wild Mushroom pizza. The pasta was good and had a nice bite to it. My favorite was the mushroom pizza especially when you added a little of the special spicy sauce our waitress brought for us to try with it. The food was all so filling that we ended up brining home have of each entree. The restaurant ambiance was classy and elegant at the same time. I noticed a wide variety of clothing styles but nothing that was too casual. The place was a bit on the louder side so it was difficult once all the tables were full around us to hold a real conversation but that honestly is to be expected with a popular place like this. The service by everyone was really great. Our water glasses were never empty (refilled by multiple people) and they cleared plates and reset the table between courses. The manager even stopped by at the end to see how everything was and take away the rest of the dirty plates while the server boxed up our food. All in all this was a great place to come for a date night or as a fun gathering with friends. The food was exceptional and the service on point. We would totally come back again.

Yelp
Went to Elephante for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint! Cocktails were very good. Highlight of the whipped eggplant was the hot pita - yum! Our server who was great, made a point of ordering everything at once and they would course it out. Worked great for the apps, but then everything else came at once. A miss by the kitchen. That said, the pizza was very good and the entrees were delicious. The killer was the pavlova dessert, airy and so good. The tiramisu was also very good, maybe a little more like a mousse than a tiramisu, but very good.

Yelp
We passed by this restaurant many times. And finally , we got a chance to try it out. It was definitely worth the visit! They had great cocktail selections and the food was delicious! The puccia & dips were absolutely amazing. The flat bread was super soft and airy. And the eggplant dip was so rich and creamy - best dip I've ever had! The tuna Tatar was yummy too! We also got a mushroom pizza - although it was a white sauce pizza, it was not heavy at all. The mushrooms left great aroma in our mouth. And shout out to the olive chili oils, which added extra fragrance to the pizza. The ragu bianco was not bad either. The only downside was that it was a bit salty. I would say this restaurant is at the pricier end for their elevated ambiance. We felt like being in a different world as soon as we entered the restaurant. The staff were helpful and efficient. It would be a great place for special occasions or friends/family gatherings.

Yelp
I didn't know elephante was within fashion square and I'm pleasantly surprised by how nice it was for being within a mall. The decor was beautiful, loved the whole interior of the restaurant. It's a huge space with both indoor and outdoor seating and bar in the middle. Our server was amazing, so friendly and attentive! We went for restaurant week but ordered two apps off the menu to share, the whipped eggplant and the Arancini. Both were absolutely delicious. The eggplant was smooth and the warm bread that it comes with was perfect. I got the arugula and pear salad and the pesto pasta. I love an arugula salad and the pesto was a little creamier than a usual pesto which I enjoyed. The pasta was also perfectly cooked, had the perfect bite. My husband got the shrimp, which was a huge portion for a starter, and the branzino which he loved. For dessert I got the sorbet which was fruity and tart. My husband for the affogato, which he also enjoyed. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
It was difficult to find the entrance to enter ugh. I met several people here and found the music too loud to enjoy the company. I liked the flavor of the caviar toast but was appalled by the price. The pita and whipped feta was not to my liking. Service just ok.
google avatar

Emily P.

Yelp
Elephante is a great place for a cute casual brunch or a nice celebratory dinner. It really ranges depending on what you want to make of your visit. I'd strongly recommend that you make reservations as it gets quite busy, but it's worth it. We loved the whipped eggplant, but it was really the pavlova dessert that really wowed us. If you like sweet/sour desserts, you'll absolutely love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Two of the best things during our first experience at Elephante? Abby and Sophia. Abby greeted us with the biggest smile and took us promptly to our table and shared that the vodka pasta was her favorite. What a personality and just all around beautiful person. Sophia was our server and what a blessing it was to have her. She guided us through the menu and was very attentive. She shared some of her background and she is just not another pretty server-she is smart and well spoken and cares about the people she is taking care of when they sit in her section. We even found out her sister goes to school with my niece. Small world! She suggested the whipped eggplant and bread appetizer. What a dish! We loved it. You must try it if you dine here and you must ask for Sophia!! The homemade bread was incredible. We had several dishes for entrees including the branzino, vodka pasta and cacio de Pepe pasta. They were all incredible. The experience is not complete without the service and Sophia and Abby nailed it! We would go back just to get seated by Abby and have Sophia wait on us. The food was just incredible and fresh and the serving size was very healthy. You won't be disappointed. Ask for Abby and Sophia and have the vodka sauce pasta! Cheers!!!

Yelp
Worth the hype! We came for restaurant week and were impressed! The food, ambiance and service were excellent. The restaurant week deals were fantastic with generous portion sizes. Food- Eggplant dip is so unique and tasty. The bread is also super fresh. It's very filling for 2 people - I'd recommend getting it if you have a larger group. We got pretty full and could barely eat our entrees. The rest of the food was delicious. Service- our waiter was professional and attentive Ambiance- we sat on the patio which was nicely shaded and cool even though it was a triple digit temperature. I definitely want to come back again! I'd love to sit inside and try some of the drinks with the eggplant dip
google avatar

Brooke K.

Yelp
I knew this place would be good, but wow, the food was amazing. Meatballs & eggplant dip were strong starts. The vodka pasta is the best I've ever had, and we will go back for it. The mushroom pizza was also great. And you cannot skip the pistachio sundae for dessert - the flavor and various textures was heavenly. Only thing I didn't love was the tables to close together & our waiter coming over every few minutes to fill our water glasses.
google avatar

Elicia N.

Yelp
I've heard great things about this place so was excited to try it! It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon! Great look, my only complaint is a bit too loud. The noise level would be the only impediment to visiting. That and the fireplace and a loud prolonged buzzing sound went off for some time and no one seemed to acknowledge it. The Calamari was fabulous! Added the marinara side. Loved it! All the food looked great so would like to go back to try more bites for sure. The pizza looked fabulous as did the appetizer with pita bread puffed up. Firewalls

Yelp
Service was excellent. Eggplant dip was amazing. Lobster roll was good but probably wouldn't order it again. Pasta was excellent. Ice cream pistachio sundae was amazing. I will definitely go back. A bit pricey but we did have a

Yelp
Very pretty restaurant. It's located in the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. The best way to get to it is by parking by the Scottsdale & Camelback entrance and the front door is outside (not inside the mall) by the valet. Once you walk in, the restaurant is very spacious and really beautiful. We had the Fusilli Pesto pasta and the Soppressata Pizza. Separately, the sauce on the pasta was good, subtle in flavor and kind of earthy and creamy, and the pizza was salty and was pretty sweet from the honey. But surprisingly, these dishes were best eaten combined! The earthy, creamy sauce from the pasta balances out the saltiness and sweetness from the pizza, and the pistachio breadcrumbs gave a nice texture and crunch. Maybe my husband and I are just odd for combining these flavors, but it tasted good to us!

Yelp
First time at elephante and it was very nice love the vibe was very nice . The food was great although the pasta could've used a touch of cheese . The pizza was cooked to perfection. We made it in time for a lunch special which include an appetizer, entree and dessert. Our waitress was very helpful with helping us make the right choice for entree Minus a star because finding the area for this place was a bit much

Yelp
I was so excited to finally get to try this new place. I've been trying to get in for a couple of months now. The place was very cute and trendy. Beautiful decor and bar. Our server Sierra was knowledgeable, amazing and gave great suggestions. I ordered champagne, the others ordered cocktails and all were very good. We ordered burrata appetizer and it served with crisps. It was so flavorful. It had figs and honey. What a great combination. We also got the Tuna tartare. The Tuna was so buttery, fresh and just melted in your mouth. We also ordered the eggplant dip that was served with freshly made pita. OMG!! That was the star of the show. For our entrees, we ordered the Ibérico Pork. Man.. was it so tender and juicy. The scallops fresh and again just melted in your mouth. So fresh! Don't waste your money the salads. So disappointing. Literally just lettuce and one other ingredient. We were there celebrating my husband's 50th. They brought out this merengue dessert with fresh passion fruit puree. Was very delicious. The whole experience was very nice. I definitely want to come back.

Yelp
I really like this place. We got here for 1:00 reservation on a Sunday, and the place was hopping! There were several parties waiting for tables, so I was glad we had it reservations. I really like the decor here. They're great woven light shades on the fixtures and cool wooden decor on the wall that almost looks like puzzle pieces. It has a Mediterranean feel. The servers all wear olive green mini dresses, with bussers and runners wearing white. They seem to have quite a system - - people who bring only drinks, people who bring the food, and of course the server to take the order. It did take a bit for me to get a drink refill. Our server was very nice, but very busy. We ordered: *Mascarpone and prosecco arancini *Ricotta meatballs *Sopressata Pizza *Caccio e Pepe Pasta *Prickly pear sorbet *Affogato Everything was absolutely delicious. I wasn't sure I would like the pizza because it had a honey drizzle (I don't like honey), but it was amazing. The pasta was sooo delicious and clearly house made (yes, you can definitely taste the difference). The meatballs were so yummy, too. We will be back for sure because the food here was fantastic. Can't wait!

Yelp
This cool, California vibe restaurant is located at the Scottsdale Fashion Square. The decor is fresh and modern. Great place for girls' events. We went there for lunch on Sunday. We had the meatballs and whipped Stracchino (came with this light and fluffy pita like bread!) Both were amazing but my daughter finds the Stracchino rather like yogurt. As for entrees, we tried the Cacio Pepe, Branzino and Ragu pasta. I really enjoyed the Branzino....it was cooked perfectly, & the sauce was refreshing which compliments the light flaky fish. We finished with chocolate torte which o highly recommend for folks who loves intense dark chocolate. But I also love their Lychee sorbet which came with 3 scoops and sliced fresh fruit and sprinkled with salt.....Refreshing and yummy!!

Yelp
Great modern, earthy atmosphere--perfect for a stylish yet relaxed brunch. I started with the Strawberry Chili Lime Spritz mocktail, which was a refreshing and flavorful alternative to a cocktail. Highly recommend it! We ordered the Whipped Eggplant, which was a hit at our table--and clearly popular with others too, as we noticed it on many nearby tables. The Vodka Sauce pasta was another standout--rich, comforting, and something I'd definitely order again. The Soppressata Pizza was also packed with flavor and very enjoyable. For my main, I had the Eggs Benedict & Rosti. Since we were there for brunch, it made sense, but I personally prefer a more traditional take on Eggs Benedict--it was just okay for me. Someone in our group ordered the Cacio e Pepe, which was good, but didn't quite measure up to the other pasta or pizza options we had. We were lucky to get seated at a table right on the edge of the outdoor patio--just enough to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful weather without being fully outside. All in all, a great experience with some real highlights on the menu.

Yelp
First time at Elephante and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The ambiance was stunning -- neutral, airy, and classy without trying too hard. Every detail from the decor to the lighting felt thoughtfully curated, and it really set the tone for a special night. We kicked things off with The Elephante cocktail, which was fresh, bright, and the perfect start to the meal. Shared the whipped eggplant (the star of the night -- I could have eaten an entire bowl by myself) and the grilled white shrimp. The shrimp was flavorful, but heads up -- it was a little tricky to get off the shell. Worth it, though, because it tasted incredible. For my main, I had the 10oz Prime Skirt Steak, and it was cooked perfectly. Every bite just melted in my mouth. Service was top-notch -- everyone from the greeter to our waitress to the busers and even the manager who checked in made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. It's the kind of place where you leave already planning your next visit. Can't wait to come back -- and next time, I'm saving more room for that eggplant.

Yelp
BAKED EGGS were to die for, paired with the most mouthwatering pieces of sourdough -- I licked my plate CLEAN! The cacio e Pepe was perfectly peppered went well with the meatballs which literally melted in my mouth . Probably the best meatballs I've had in the valley

Élephante Scottsdale was such a vibe -- everything from the atmosphere to the food was on point. The space itself is stunning, with a cool, upscale yet relaxed energy that instantly sets the tone for a great night. We started with the calamari and burrata -- both super fresh and flavorful. The vodka pasta was rich and comforting, and the scallops with caviar were next-level. Seriously indulgent in the best way. But I have to give a special shoutout to the lavender espresso martini -- it was so good. Perfectly balanced with just the right hint of lavender. One of the best cocktails I've had in a while. We were also celebrating a birthday, and they went out of their way to make it feel special, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Elephante is divine! The ambiance is chic, dimly lit, open concept, very sexy atmosphere. The music is pumping keeping the vibes high, and the service is top tier. Refilling drinks before you've finished, cleaning the tables, boxing your food, they do it all! Top recommendations for food: the vodka pasta (a n spice, very rich flavor), the broccolini (unlike anything I've ever tried in a creamy lemony sauce, YUM), and the Caesar salad (roasted breadcrumbs on top adding the perfect crunchy bits)!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Elephante since it opened last year but had to cancel my reservation twice. I am so glad I finally got to try it. Came on a Sunday for dinner around 6 and the place was packed which was surprising to me. Loved the decor and the ambiance. Service was excellent. Our server Kyle was fantastic - she consistently steered us in the right direction. Of course I had to try their famous whipped eggplant and it definitely lived up to the hip, I loved it. It was creamy, rich, smooth and it paired perfectly with the warm pita bread. For my main I had the vodka pasta - another house staple and for good reason. It was just the right amount of spicy. I also tried the ragú bianco and again super tasty. I liked that the pasta portions were generous. I am not a drinker but decided to try the dessert sunset slushie and I loved it: super refreshing. We finish the night off with the pistachio sundae - something I would have not usually ordered but our server highly recommended. It was delicious, home made soft serve with pistachio caramel and lots of other flavorful ingredients. Overall a great meal. I am craving a visit soon.

Yelp
Quick update to reflect what many others had said, I thought it was just us-- but it's SO loud in there. After reflecting, my prior review stands but now I remember how much I was shouting for my parents to hear me. And they aren't deaf. I could barely hear them. We were positioned in a booth right next to the bar. Not sure if sound is like that all throughout the restaurant but that has to be addressed since at one point I just wanted to stop talking since it was too hard to make back and forth conversation with going "what??!" Not ideal ambiance. Otherwise beautiful decor inside.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! This place is a vibe. The drinks are phenomenal, the atmosphere is beautiful and staff is so helpful. We sat at the bar for a drink before our dinner reservation and loved the espresso martinis - the lavande (lavender one) was my favorite drink of the whole weekend. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone visiting and would return on my next trip

Yelp
Came to Élephante on a Sunday evening without a reservation hoping to easily grab a seat at the bar which just a little after 6pm was no issue for the two of us. Maria took wonderful care of us and gave some recs and affirmations in our selections. The cocktails were delicious and every item was mouthwatering. The tuna tartare's yuzu aioli was outta this world -- I even got some more to dip the crispy potatoes (fries) in later. Branzino was cooked perfectly. The insalata verde and broccolini were excellent. I will say, be sure to save room for dessert because the pistachio sundae is AMAZING! I'm excited there's a location in Santa Monica (close to home) because I'm definitely craving more Élephante!

Yelp
Came here for my boyfriend's early birthday dinner, as well as another friend's birthday brunch. Everything from the food, ambiance, and service was fantastic! Shoutout especially to Raelahna for making our dinner such a fantastic experience! She was cheery, friendly, prompt, and funny! Prices are also fair for the delicious food you're getting. I haven't tried any misses so far, but the standout must order dishes here are absolutely the whipped eggplant and the vodka sauce pasta. The whipped eggplant is as good as everyone says! And, the vodka sauce pasta is perfectly cooked al dente, not too spicy, and the sauce is creamy without being acidic. I've also had the garlic butter spinach, tuna tartare, calamari, ragu bianco and whipped stracchino, all of which are delicious and immediate reorders as well! Ambiance is very trendy/coastal. I've seen people come here in sweats, as well as cocktail dresses and heels. If you park by the green garage (or by where the outdoor entrance is to Anthropologie), you'll walk right to the restaurant.

Yelp
Élephante has such a cool vibe--elevated but laid-back, with that breezy coastal feel that makes you want to linger for hours. The space is beautiful, but just a heads-up: the lighting can be a little over the place. Some areas are super dim and moody, while others get blasted with outdoor light, so depending on where you sit, it's either very dark or a bit too bright. Still, it didn't take away from the overall experience. Our server, Greg, was terrific--so on it and genuinely kind. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, which made the night feel special. We started with the whipped eggplant (do not skip this!) and added prosciutto on the side--an absolutely perfect combo. We shared the wild mushroom pizza, the vodka sauce pasta, and the tagliatelle tartufo for dinner. The pizza crust had that nice char and chew, and the tagliatelle was rich and truffly in all the right ways. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu, the chocolate torta, and the pavlova. The tiramisu was the standout--light, creamy, and not overly sweet. We also ordered a cappuccino, and it was really good--smooth with a nice balance of espresso and foam. The drinks were also on point. I had the Piccante (bright, a little spicy, super refreshing), and my fiancee had the tequila old-fashioned, which was well-balanced and had an orange slice. We also ordered the insalata verde--simple, fresh, and perfectly dressed. It was definitely a solid side dish to balance everything out. All in all, we're already planning our next visit. Cool atmosphere, great food, and fantastic service--you just might want to choose your seat depending on your lighting mood!

Yelp
Ambiance is lovely!! I have nothing bad to say about this place. It's beautiful and happy, the staff is friendly, their pizza is pretty good too. I had a couple cocktails and both were decent. I haven't sampled much of their other food yet, but I am excited to return, especially for their whipped eggplant.

Yelp
Arrived Friday at 5pm for a girlfriend's birthday. We managed to get a reservation despite this place being extremely popular! Our server was friendly and provided great recommendations. We had to try the whipped eggplant and yes it is as good as everyone says! Drinks were great you can tell fresh ingredients are used The only drink we didn't enjoy was the Élephante I'm normally the type that can enjoy any drink but this one had a very strange combination of flavors I don't recommend. The pastas are delicious I was the one off that ordered a pizza and wish I had gotten a pasta as the pizza was pretty average The noise is very loud I left feeling like my vocal chords were fried I think the place is great to get together with some friends but I wasn't hugely impressed

Yelp
Overall review: stick with the apps and skip the entrees. The octopus, asparagus, and hamachi crudo were all fantastic, as was the pucci bread (which we just got a la carte). I would order any one of those again, especially the octopus and crudo. The mocktail was also amazing, we got the strawberry chili one and I could've had 5. The entrees were just average. The pesto fusilli was okay. I've had much better pesto elsewhere. It was also super rich and heavy. The branzino was ordered by others in our party and they said it was so oversalted that they couldn't eat it. Deserts were a treat. I like that they have some unique items! They are SWEET so if you're like me and can't handle that sweet of deserts, you might only take a couple bites. My family loved them though! Service was good but the ambiance was super cool. It reminded me of Tulum! IMO Elephante is elite for happy hour to get good drinks and share a lot of the small plates, but I wouldn't rush back for dinner and, interestingly, everyone I've talked to whose been says the same

Yelp
After months trying to get a reservation we finally got in for a late lunch/early dinner. We started with the whipped eggplant and grilled octopus. Both dishes were very tasty. I did however expect more octopus in that dish for the price but the flavor of the dish was great. For entree I had the ibérico pork. It was the highlight of the experience. Full of flavor. The glaze was apple cider and balsamic vinegar. It was amazing and I'd go back just for this dish. For dessert I opted for one of their espresso martini's. I did the one with mezcal and it was amazing. Tasted Smokey and paired perfectly with the coffee. The waitress we had was wonderful. She was always prompt to refill waters and see if we needed anything. Highly recommend trying to start your reservation journey and it helps to add your qualifying visa to open table to get some extra options for a reservation.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great service, and great food! I've been to the Elephante in Santa Monica and I think this Scottsdale location is better (food wise only because Santa Monica location is right by the beach and how can you beat that view....) Make sure to make a reservation! The Whipped Eggplant ($16) is an absolute must!! Super creamy and flavorful and the Puccia it comes with is thin but great for dipping. We ordered two! I usually get the Vodka sauce pasta ($26) which is a 5/5 dish but I decided to try something new. I got the Fusilli Pesto ($22) and it was very interesting. The sauce is creamy and a little bit earthy and nutty. I don't think I would get this again. A friend got the Cacio E Pepe ($26) and this pasta along with the vodka sauce are some of the best dishes here. The Cacio E Pepe was extremely flavorful and the pepper adds such a nice kick, it's amazing! Another friend ordered the Ragu Bianco ($27) and she also tried something new, safe to say our picks were not the best! Her pasta was a little hard but the pasta flavor was somewhat tasty. It was good but she wouldn't order it again. For pizza's we ordered the Soppressata ($26) and we added arugula on top, this pizza is delicious! Super flavorful and the honey adds a perfect amount of sweetness. Other friends ordered the Margherita ($21) and it was good! Honestly, you can't mess up a classic. To drink I ordered the Pineapple Cucumber Spritz ($11) and it makes me mad that they give you a small amount of this drink because it's so good!!! I could drink like 3 of them they're so small. But it's super refreshing and flavorful, I recommend it! I have tried the Strawberry Chili Lime Spritz ($11) before and it's not as good as the cucumber spritz! Overall, I've been to this location 2 times and each time has been great! I'll be back soon!

Yelp
My one piece of advice here is to be adventurous with your ordering - it's worth it! We had the whipped eggplant per Lily's recommendation (AMAZING server btw) and it was SO good. Light and creamy with a very subtle flavor. Looks like hummus but it's not. For entrees we ordered the aged ribeye to share and the squid ink scampi. I loved the char on the ribeye and the pasta was so flavorful, with a surprising amount of shrimp. We loved the vibe here, food and drinks were great, and service was top notch. Would definitely come back! Make sure to book a reservation ahead of time, as this place is newer and was busy on a Wednesday evening.

Yelp
Went to Elephante on a Friday night and it was packed!! You definitely have to make a reservation in advance and can't show up without one expecting to get a table. We were seated right away with our reservation. My one negative about the restaurant is that it is extremely loud. You have to really speak loud to hear able to hear the person next to. Our waitress was fantastic- she was super friendly and coursed out of dishes perfectly. We started with drinks, mezcal margaritas and espresso martinis. Drinks were good but overpriced which isn't surprising for Scottsdale. We started with the whipped eggplant to share - it was delicious!! I only wish they gave 2 pitas instead of 1 because it wasn't enough. If you want an extra pita it is $6. We shared 2 salads - the insalade mixta and Cesar. Both were great and shareable between 5 people. We then ordered 2 vodka pastas, 1 caico e Pepe, and a margarita pizza. Everything was delicious. No complaints about anything we ate. And then we finished with dessert. I definitely want to come back here again and try more of the menu. Especially brunch!

Yelp
OK, so I wanted this to be fantastic because I was meeting a dear friend that I've known for 18 years. I'll just get to it. I loved the ambience. It was very beautiful, the parking situation at Scottsdale fashion Square is never fun. I ended up valet and it was very expensive, but that's fine. I hate dealing with traffic and parking. So walking up the hostesses were adorable and very sweet. I had a reservation and they put me in a lovely booth that had plenty of space. The staff was absolutely great very attentive although there wasn't many people in the restaurant at this time I made a reservation because this area is usually swamped at lunchtime so that was a little odd. I like to order the popular dishes and a little something that I just like for myself. So I ordered the meatballs and the chili eggs Benedict. And my friend ordered a Barada pizza and the calamari and we both ordered a mock tail. So my mock tail was insanely sour with the chili cocktail, and my girlfriend had the lavender lemonade which mine was incredibly tart. I just added water to it. I am not a fuss, butt. So did I send it back absolutely not I just watered it down and drink it So my very teeny tiny meatballs arrive. And they are so soft and mushy that it was really hard to get them down because of the texture not super flavorful and I was not very impressed by them and neither was my friend but did I eat them? yes I did because I was hungry. I'm starving as a matter of fact And my friends calamari comes and it was absolutely delicious and the dipping sauce was fantastic. We both agreed. So here comes my eggs Benedict. The presentation was on this teeny tiny little plate and they actually tasted really good, but unfortunately it was like two boiled eggs on top of a little round piece of hashbrowns, but the flavor was really good so I don't know not happy with that either. My friends pizza comes out and it's perfection. It's huge and looks delicious our server somehow I don't know what she did but she stumbled or something through the oil all over the table just came and wiped it up and didn't bring us another oil for that pizza, but I don't know take that for what it is she was lovely though So I was really bummed about the experience because I really wanted to like the food and I wanted to come back. I don't know how I feel about just coming back for pizza and calamari when I can get it for half the price somewhere else but the ambience was fantastic and of course my friend is amazing and it was great company. So will I go back? I don't know maybe to share a pizza with someone that might be OK but I think you know after all in all you know spending $100 on ballet and not a very exciting food experience. I might just try another spot.

Yelp
Look. I'm not going to tell you that the security guard came next to our table until we paid the bill, but the security guard CAME NEXT TO OUR TABLE UNTIL WE PAID THE BILL. WTH. We came here by chance. It was Sunday afternoon and we were at the mall shopping when we bumped into friends who said they'd come from elephante. We figured we would give it a try. Granted, we weren't really dressed for a night out and had a little one with us. But we also weren't wearing balaclavas and looking to case the joint. We ordered lots of food as we usually do. We like to try different things especially with it being our first time there. After we put in our order, a man dressed in a suit (looking security guard-y) came and stood behind our table against the back wall. It didn't bother me much, but he stood there the whole time and coincidentally left after the bill was paid and the check returned to our table for signature. Made me feel so icky. For that reason, I won't be back. The place is cute. The food was okay (definitely skip the pizza). But there was nothing remarkable on the menu.

Yelp
10's all around for Elephanté. The food was delicious. I had the whipped eggplant and tbe cacio e pepe. Amazing bread and whipped eggplant and the best cacio e pepe I've ever had! Ambiance is also great with low lighting and minimalistic decor. Yes they have music and it can be difficult to have conversation but we enjoyed the vibes. Service was very quick and attentive. Def would come back or visit the Santa Monica location!

Yelp
10000000/10 recommend if you're in the area! Me and my friends love the Santa Monica location, so we were excited to see if this one is just as great. Happy to say we all loved it just as much, if not more! If you're going for dinner, you definitely need a reservation (especially for weekends, but weekdays as well); we planned this somewhat last minute and were easily able to get a lunch reservation for a Saturday, the night before. The food was fantastic! We started with the tried and true whipped eggplant dip and decided to try the grilled shrimp as well, which were phenomenal. Some of the girls were very excited to see the Hamachi Carpaccio on the menu, so we of course had to order it and it was VERY flavors and tasty!! Loved! For mains, I got the Margherita pizza which I basically inhaled, very flavorful & nice and light. My friends shared the Soppresta pizza and everyone was raving that they loved it, especially with the honey. Along with the pizza, one got the cacio e pepe, which is always her go to when getting pasta, and she noted it was some of the best cacio e pepe she had ever tried. The rest of the group got the vodka sauce pasta, again a tried a staple that you really can't go wrong with here. Overall 11/10 for the food, truly no complaints! I do have to note, the interior design at this location is truly extraordinary, from the seating to the plants to just everything, so soooooo pretty! The vibe was great and definitely added to the experience. Also wanted to mention that the service was excellent, from the girls at the hostess stand to our waiter, everyone was super nice and outgoing!

Yelp
Élephante is long on style but comes up short on real substance. The restaurant s beautiful. The servers and staff are stylish and excellent at what they do. The food is....OK. Nothing stands out about the pizza, the vodka pasta or the Ciaco e Pepe that would make me go back again. If you are already at the mall and don't want to drive somewhere else, eat here I guess. You won't be disappointed. But for the price, you would expect to be a little excited at the end.
