Wine and additional a la carte items, like Dungeness crab cakes or Kentucky bourbon pecan pie, are also available. Orders must be placed online or by phone by Sunday, November 12." - Janey Wong

"Reliable, unpretentious sandwiches and other deli staples won’t necessarily garner awards (though chef and owner Scott Weaver was mentored by James Beard), but in the case of Elephants, it’s a path to a successful eight-location local empire. On the way to or from Forest Park, the grab-and-go convenience of Elephants’s hot and cold sandwiches is tough to beat. The vast menu including pizza, soups, burgers, and salads can be a bit daunting, so come prepared to combat decision fatigue." - Nathan Williams

"Mama Leone’s from Elephant’s is a Portland tradition. A creamy tomato-chicken soup loaded with spinach, celery, and onions, it’s hearty enough to stand alone as a meal. Devotees order it by the quart, perhaps alongside a pint of vitamin-packed tomato-orange soup. Order it via Caviar or DoorDash." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

"As a teenager, Jacob took a job at Elephant's Delicatessen and would walk from Lincoln High after school to work in the kitchen — an early restaurant job that helped launch his path in food." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

"A local chain of cafes and delis serving ready-to-eat meals, Elephant’s Delicatessen is taking care of the holiday cooking this year with plenty of à la carte options and meal packages for both Easter and Passover; Easter offerings include an Applewood smoked ham dinner, quiche and frittata for brunch, Easter cookies, sides, and individual dinners for one, while Passover options feature brisket with tsimmes gravy, gefilte fish, and matzo ball soup—everything can be ordered via Elephant’s website." - Alex Frane
