Lots of selection with food, drinks, snacks and treats. It’s a little on the pricey side, but quality stuff! Parking is plenty and easy as well.

Food was delicious first time being here and didn't know what to expect. There is plenty of sitting and parking. We enjoyed our food outside seating area they had heating so we were warm. I had the classic pastrami reuben recommend it! Will be back for sure!

7/20/2025 Yet again I gravitate to Elephant's Deli. I was willing to go anywhere with friends today. For various reasons, I went alone. Elephant's has such a wide range of food, drinks, and even gifts... from cards to books and stuffed animals. Much more by the way. As always, I Loved the food and everything about the place. Being a senior I especially appreciate the staff taking things I order to my table. For goodness sake, if you haven't been there, make a special effort to go.

The food was really good. I liked the variety of pre-packaged foods and gifts. We are out of town and I picked up a few souvenirs for my friends back home. They even had Mexican coke. The only problem is I felt the tables were too close together. I felt like the table next to us was sitting in our lap. But overall the food and staff were wonderful. My wife had a soup and I had the chicken fingers. I would highly recommend this place.

They were out of a lot of sandwiches when I went, not sure if because of the snow or if it was just late in the day— no complaints there, though! Tomato orange soup had perfect acidity, very balanced and delicious. Grilled cheese was also very good, no nonsense. A little bit pricey for what it was. But great selection, kind staff, cool place!

Food looked amazing! The Curried Chickpea sandwich looked particularly great, so I opted for that. Unfortunately was unable to make a purchase - when I wrnt to check out, I was the only person in line for about five minutes as the associate was preparing an order (understandable, as they were busy!) Another customer skipped me in line, and the person at checkout happily chose to serve them immediately. Message being received, I spent my money elsewhere. The food selection looked excellent, so if you have better luck than I did, I'm sure you'd have a great experience!

My family and I which includes a 5yo have visited this place multiple times. First, here is warning to big groups: this place has limited seating inside. The patio seating can accommodate groups of 5 or maybe 6 but it does get a little cold out there even in the fall/spring. If your group is 3 or 4 then I recommend getting here before the rush hours for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Inside there are a few individual tables and a bar while there’s also a large shared table in the middle. We had a bad experience with a rude staff member regarding seating (see below) however management cared enough to contact us and make up for our bad experience. We’ve been back since and it seems mgmt is working on offering customer service training to some of their staff, so that is a plus; and they do have a couple of very nice and warm staff members. Our favorite item off the kitchen menu is the Bistro Burger with the Salad or the Fries. Pre-cooked food off the glass case is hit and miss but in my opinion there are more hits than misses. For example, I liked the Enchiladas off the glass case. I like that they offer a nice variety of drink options on the back of the store as well as an albeit small but tasty ice cream bar together with small dessert options. The atmosphere has dwindled down a bit since they opened but overall is still pleasant. In general, I think this place is worth a visit while keeping in mind some limitations. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: If you value good service and not having your meal ruined by rude staff, then I recommend going elsewhere. The tables are scarce here and there is no wait staff but the busboys seem to be empowered to rush you out before being done. I originally recommended this place but my family, which includes a 5yo kid, had a terrible customer service experience here. We arrived for lunch before the rush on a Sunday. This place is often short on tables so we often try to arrive early to avoid the wait. We are 3 people, so a table for 2 wouldn’t work for us. Luckily since we arrived early we managed to get two small tables for 2 for all of us to have a seat and a surface to eat. We didn’t take very long but as anyone with kids knows, our son was taking the longest as my wife fed him a few last bites. It was then when a busboy (this place has no wait staff) approached my table and literally asked with an annoyed and rude tone if he could take my table and give it to someone who was waiting for a table. We were all perplexed. My son was still eating, my wife was sitting across him feeding him, and I had no place to sit other than where I was sitting. What was I supposed to do??? Sit awkwardly between a stranger and my son without a table in front of me? Stand awkwardly next to my wife and son’s table for two? Honestly, I can definitely understand the challenge with the shortage of tables at this place, and can understand even understand having empathy for those waiting. But the place has extra tables on the covered, enclosed and heated patio; there were tables available there. We were almost done with our meal, others next to us were almost done. It wasn’t as if we were taking too long or lounging around carelessly. The aggressiveness and attitude of the staff member who approached us was completely out of line and he was totally oblivious to the fact that we are parents of a young child; trying to do our best to finish lunch in a timely manner. I have never been asked to vacate a table before being done at any restaurant; in or outside of the US. As someone who frequents all sorts of types of restaurant establishments, this amounts to a total failure in customer service and a complete lack of common sense. If the busboy had paid attention, he would have seen that there was no need to push us out as it was obvious we were almost done feeding our son and close to leaving. Instead he chose to be aggressive with us and ruin our meal.

This place seems to have the same problem lots of other places in Portland tend to have and that's aloof or rude service. No signs to help you know where to go and staff treating you like an idiot. I could understand if it were teenagers, but full grown adults treating customers this way is not excusable. Maybe Elephant's doesn't treat them well so if so that's on them to improve. Food itself I've found to be very good and it's a cute and enjoyable set up to eat in and shop.

Yelp
So much good stuff here! Hot food by the slice, soup, sandwiches, pasta and orzo salads by the pound.. coffee bar including yummy chai.... deli case with prepared bites.. A great place to grab a quick lunch and spend hours catching up with your best good friends. Seating inside and out (covered) and even more outside (exposed, small tables). Plenty of parking since it's the Winco parking lot, but note that right in front it's tricky bc there are some one-ways.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch today. It was both our 1st time. Confusing when you walk in, get a paper menu and order at the counter. They give you a number and you get your beverage at another area. Staff was nice. But the reason I will never go back is we ordered 2 Rubens, a beer and bottled water was $40! No chips or fries or small salad. Don

Yelp
I've heard people talking about Elephant's before, so I was excited to try it! Unfortunately, I was recovering from an awful migraine, and it was my first time eating in almost two days. I could only order chicken soup and cheese twists. But they were both excellent! The broth was just what I needed to get some strength back, and it was tasty too. The side was just the right size. The cheese twist wasn't too cheesy or greasy, so that was nice. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and pot pie thing. He really enjoyed both. I hope to visit again soon now that I can eat more than soup and bread

Yelp
The pulled pork sandwich on ciabatta is something that I haven't been able to get off my mind since visiting for the first time. I highly recommend it!!

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch, browsed the cooler, for grab and go (Lots of great options, salads, sandwiches, desserts) but decided to stay and eat inside. There are a few tables inside, more seating outside under a covered area. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Overall the food was good. The sandwiches had soft, crisp bread which was yummy. We had the Italian and roasted vegetable sandwiches. Both were tasty , however, it felt like they were rationing on the filling. For the price, I would have expected a little more filling in my veggie sandwich, one thin layer of roasted veggies wasn't enough. Had the Elephant Cure Soup and the Mama Leone's soup. That's where they shine. Both soups were delicious with great flavor. The cure soup had nice subtle hints of warmth of lemon grass and spices, very tasty. Mama Leone's was favorite of all the dishes we had. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch. Great lunch option to try.

Yelp
I came here with a group of four at 12:30 PM on a Thursday afternoon. The indoors seating area was already fully packed but there were some tables outside that were still available. You order at any of the register and they can bring it to your table. Everyone at the counter and register was friendly, they also allow you to try samples of any of the soups. I ordered the ELEPHANT CURE soup which was very tasty and really warmed the body. Additionally, I had the FISH TACO. The fish was not fried unfortunately and was a little bit dry but the combination of the veggies and salsa was nice and refreshing. All in all, a nice lunch spot if you're ever in the area.

Yelp
I'm a huge Elephants fan, I try to go often, sometimes even once a week I love the tomato orange soup and their house made focaccia. But honestly everything is good here. The cold sandwiches, salads, gelato are amazing. The store also carries an insanely amount of beverages and kick knacks. Service is impeccable in all locations.

Yelp
I gave it average because I didn't eat the food (so I can't say). The decorations were nice and festive. Lots of local products, foods, gifts, etc for Christmas presents. However for me personally, as I walked around the different areas, nothing really caught my attention. The desserts looked okay, was hoping for some mint or peppermint sweets but didn't see any. The other foods looked pretty pricey. I don't know if this is a fancier place since this was my first time visiting. But I noticed they had unique foods but the 'deli' area looked a bit too much for me. However, it was a great place to walk around and maybe on a special occasion, I'll treat myself to something here!

Yelp
Called in for a food pickup at this restaurant, and it was my first visit. The parking was ample, and the greeter was exceptionally friendly. They've got a convenient pickup counter for grabbing your order. While waiting for my order, I explored the place. The ambiance was great, and the deli counter showcased a variety of fresh and premade options. The restaurant had plenty of seating in both the main dining areas and on the patio. Back home, I eagerly indulged in my order. The Elephant Cure soup was delicious, especially the pint size. The Chicken Enchilada Verde slice, Grilled BLT, and Tuna Melt were all satisfying. Don't miss out on the Ding Dong for dessert - it was a tasty treat. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and I'm definitely planning to return for more.

Yelp
We have been waiting for a long time for this Elephants to open up in Beaverton. We were sad to see Bargarten go, though. So on a weekend morning I dragged Minion in here for breakfast. I gave him a week's warning so he could prepare to be frustrated because we know how this goes. First, to address access for people with disabilities. Since I had cancer, I deal with pretty debilitating neuropathy and I have a hangtag for my car but the handicapped spots are west of the building not very close to the doors. The front south facing door has a lot of steps and two sets of doors to go through. The west door says "Handicap access only" with no button to open it and it is heavy. Inside that entrance there is a pretty narrow space with people and barstools in the way. I think wheelchairs would have a tough time. Once inside the service process is effing screwy. There are no posted instructions. You cannot order hot frittata from the employee and have them hand you your plate even though she is right there and the food is in front of you in a hot plate thingy. No, you have to go stand in another line and pay and then she gets sent the order and she calls your name. She is literally two feet from the register. If you want a pastry you serve yourself and carry it to the register. I don't know if you are supposed to pay for it first. The plate was too small for the pastry. You order coffee from the discombobulated cashier who gets things wrong and seems lost. A lot of employees are looking lost, and all the customers are lost. There is a sign on a stand that says welcome to Elephants that COULD explain things but it doesn't. Outside seating didn't have a bus tub the first hour so people were coming inside to bus their tables. Inside seating could not see the hidden inside bus tub so after one was taken outside to the patio they carried their dishes out through doors precariously balanced while hordes of customers came through the doors. And lines of people wound around a pretty big space trying to get their orders in with a cashier. Honestly, it was a clusteryouknow what. It made my head hurt and Minion the engineer lost his mind. The food was delicious. It always is. My coffee and fritatta and shared pastry were great. But the paper straws suck. Pun intended. I have been to a lot of delis and self serve places. This structure isn't working. Fix it. At least give people some posted clear instructions. OMG. The reason they stay afloat is the food is good. Get it delivered, catered, send someone with good distress tolerance skills, but I warn you, take a Xanax or have a drink if you are going to go in.

Yelp
The newest Elephants opened up in Beaverton in the perfect location! Came around 1pm on a Saturday and it was packed! Only waited about 15 minutes for my hot foods so that's pretty good in my opinion considering how busy it was. It has the same Elephants' charm that the other locations have, with cute candies packaged near the check out and lots of friendly staff. There is kind of limited seating but majority of customers take the food to go. Overall, this place is a true Portland classic and I'm so glad they're branching out into other local spots!

Yelp
Elephants is such a cute local deli, glad they brought one of their shops over here on the west side. I love the layout of this place, especially the French inspired outdoor patio. Although this is a deli, it doubles as a gift shop, since there's some local food and gifts you can get. The food choices were overwhelming but I settled on the Tuna Melt with a cup of Mama Leone's Chicken Soup. I was eager to eat and both the sandwich and soup were so yummy that I forgot to take a picture of my food before I started digging in. That's definitely a sign that I'll come back for more.

Yelp
We are so lucky to have the most beautiful of all Elephant's grace us with their presence in Beaverton. It is hard to believe this used to be a German Beerhaus. They did such a nice job, keeping with their brand, but adding a little uniqueness to this location. It is large and open with a wine bar, gelato and coffee in the middle. There is limited seating inside, but they kept the large patio from the previous restaurant. which more than doubles the seating capacity.  If you are ever in need of a last minute gift, I would highly recommend stopping here, they have everything from gourmet prepared foods, wine, cheese, and gift items, such as soaps.  Today, we stopped in for breakfast, you never know how pre-made food will turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised with everything, especially the veggie frittata. I don't eat a lot of frittatas, but I will say it is the best I have ever had. It was so moist and light.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place for the first time and after my experience, I thought it was decent. It wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday morning around 9am. Their outdoor seating is well decorated and cute. Aside from food and beverages, they also have other household items for sale that are made locally. The food items were mediocre, nothing special. I thought it was pretty expensive for food that is just heated up and not made fresh. They had a basket of pastries by the counter that are marked half off, which is a good option. I was disappointed that the chocolate croissant was very plan with little chocolate inside. The salted caramel latte was delicious though!

Yelp
I really like this Elephant`s location . Its convenient , its spacious , very bright and airy and the staff is super sweet. I find the food selection pretty good since they have something for every taste . I am a big fan of the hot bar and like to take some to-go even if I had a meal here . There is a lot of variety of cheese, meats and prepared foods in the deli counter along with soups, sandwiches and the awesome selection from the baked section .There is a lot of seating and it could be a nice place to catch a break if you are shopping in the area . Lots of parking out front as well . The staff is friendly and help if you ask for it . I also love the free sample they put out and many a times I had bought things because the samples lured me in.

Yelp
First time at this Elephants deli, but I love the one in downtown Portland & have been going there for more than 25 years. This one is mapped out well with very nice ambiance, plenty of seating, friendly staff (although they forgot about my order), etc. I ordered the chicken enchilada pie which has been one of my fav's forever, but unfortunately it was very dry and not as flavorful. But it's come back and give them another try .

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Elephants Deli so was surprised and happy to see them in Cedar Hills in the previous Bargarten's location. This is bigger than their other out post locations like on S. moody down on the waterfront, the downtown SW Salmon location by the Workd Trade Centwr or the one by Nordstroms. This location has all the favorites - hot dinner entrees, variety of cheese, cured meats and prepared foods in the deli counter, fresh soups, sandwiches, hot meals (mac&cheese and chicken enchiladas are fab), prepared sandwiches and salads to go, and of course lots and lots of treats. Fresh baked cookies, bars, brownies, a variety of mini cakes - the ding ding cake is absolutely delicious, just wish they hadn't raised the price to $8. The counters all have packaged licorice, chocolates, gummy's. They certainly know how to decorate with food items to encourage those spontaneous purchases. They do the same with the kitchen and bath items, books and toys for kids, greeting cards, seasonal decor and gift items. They have a decent wine selection if you need to pick up a bottle to go with dinner or as a gift. I've had Elephants Deli cater many events for my team at work, have picked up trays of appetizers for parties and even trays of chicken enchiladas or lasagna when I don't feel like cooking for a dinner party. Everything has always been delicious. Prices are high, but quality does match. Since I live downtown, I have several options but I'm out in Beaverton frequently and this is a great spot to meet a friend for lunch or pick up dinner and treats after running errands.

Yelp
We finally decided to visit Elephants' newest location at Cedar Hills. It's probably been a few years since our last time in one of elephants' establishment and we can't quite remember why. As many reviews had mentioned, it isn't very clear with the flow in the store, and that was certainly the case. I lined up at the hot food section for a couple of minutes, only to hear someone from the center (coffee) station saying hot food can be ordered there. One of my kids wanted pasta, but after grabbing a lasagna from the fridge section at the back, we were informed it had to be the aluminum pan for them to heat up in store. Overall the food were all tasty, for the various items we had from sandwich to soup to fries. Instructions isn't clear but nothing too complicated after the initial visit. We did figure out that price might have been the factor that we just haven't had the motivation to visit in the recent years. Quality food, nice and clean decor and interior, friendly people, casual vibe, but expect to pay for sit down service level price. We'll probably come again given the close proximity to our home ans the quality of the food.

Yelp
I am always grateful when a friend meets up with me at a spot I am unfamilar with since it gives me something to focus on beyond my limitations. I am ADA and I get used to being challenged or just not being able to get into even new spaces since most spaces (even new ones) have next to no accommodations. I usually have avoided most of the businesses in here since the parking lot was inadequate for the amount of people when there were half the amount of businesses in the strip here that people went to. So, attended during lunch or dinner time will be a disaster and there are no real ADA spots near the entrance. I've heard there is another entrance with an access ramp but I genuinely did not see it so I hoofed it up the stairs as that caused less strain/pain then circumnavigating the building trying to find out how to get in, especially since my friend wanted to meet up when it was proper busy. A gent was kind enough to open the door but since the doors are not ADA someone standing and holding the door is genuinely having to stand in front of me so I then get to try to pole vault over them. Sooo, just a heads up for challenging mobility folks - plan your visit at an off time so that you can proper hunt the ADA access or have a friend pregame for you. I have been excited for the opening since I found out that this spot was joining us in Beaverton. A friend asked to meet up for an episode of ladies who lunch and it was perfect though it is indeed popular. A huge shout out to that amazing crew of wonderful people working hard not only to get it opened but seriously deliver on friendliness and being so helpful. I have some movement challenges and I just try to be mindful but seriously when I needed anything they just helped out with a sincere smile. My friend arrived first, snagging a perfect table waiving me to wander and order first. I was overwhelmed by all of the delicious looking things! I saw their focaccia and had to have anything on that but decided to give the Caprese sandwich and some garlic fries a go with a Coke. AMAZING... We leisurely ate and the crowd was much smaller towards the 3-4pm side so we could take a stroll to grab baskets of goodies. They have a ton of day old things 50% off and quite a collection of neat gift shop things, specialty sauces, jams, teas... frozen entrées, baked goods, Gelato and a whole array of delicious desserts and delicious things. I escaped with (for under $20!): a chunk of cooked dill salmon, a butter croissant, a chocolate buttercream cupcake, a passion fruit mousse and a container of hummus! They have a few vegan options as well which is great to know - I have quite a few vegan friends and am glad when places I go have an inclusive menu.

Yelp
Lovely new spot in Cedar Hills to grab a quick bite or take something to go. Huge variety of grab and go items as well as different hot menu items. The store has a ton of different drinks and great dessert case. The Affogato was delicious as well as the breakfast burrito. I had the chili con queso breakfast burrito. My son had the Vegetarian Frittata and hubby had the sausage breakfast burrito. All were good and filling. I grabbed some macarons to go for a treat later that day. They have a lovely outdoor enclosed patio that has plenty of seating. There are a few tables inside as well. Look forward to enjoying another great meal here.

Yelp
I have been here once. We were visiting someone at the hospital nearby for a month, and tired of hospital food. We came here around 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. There were quite a few people here for an off hour. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts, side dishes, etc. It has an amazing selection for a deli! They also have prepared meals (meatloaf, chicken pot pie, enchiladas, charcuterie boards, etc.) that can be picked up and taken home as a dinner, for those without the time or willingness to cook. There were quite a few people walking out with bags of food. I would love to have a place like this near me! They have a few long tables inside, and some smaller tables outside on a patio, with plastic coverings protecting you from the elements. You place your order at a counter. I had a caprese sandwich that was warmed up, and a bowl of Mama Leone's soup, which was delicious, and so perfect on a rainy day. My friend had the same sandwich and a bowl of the seasonal mushroom soup which was also delicious. They let you sample taste the soups before you buy. We had a patio to ourselves, for a quiet, warm meal on a chilly day. I would definitely recommend Elephants for a quick, hearty meal, or for those of you passing by on your way home from work, as a nice option to pick up a meal to take home with you.

Yelp
Misguided cash grab for the west side suburbs. Food is severely overpriced for what you get. $15.50 for a cold Italian sandwich in your display for you to heat it up for me? Goody! Ownership is tone deaf if they think they will last long here with their offerings and prices. Elephants in Burnside has a plethora of options and this is paltry. Maybe they think the name will get them by but they are only hurting their brand with this location. I wanted to "splurge" and bought a $7! Tub of fresh salsa to try as I am a salsa fiend. This salsa is GARBAGE. NO TASTE. NO SEASONING. TOMATO CHUNKS THE SIZE OF THE OWNERS BALLS. Seriously the worst taste of salsa I have had in years. No salt. No garlic. Huge unripe tomatoes. No hint of heat. NOTHING. FOR $7 dollars. This is what you can expect from this location. I would say stay away from this place. But honestly, I don't think I have to because at this rate, it isn't going to last. Good riddance. Only upside was the nice staff. Even though there were barely any to be seen. Especially behind the counters that make food.
google avatar

Shawana L.

Yelp
Quick and easy place for lunch! The layout is awesome and despite coming during a busy time, all the staff were able to help everyone and get the food out quickly. I'm a huge fan of Mama Leone's chicken soup!

Yelp
I'm glad that they finally have opened one up out on the westside. The place has a good variety of freshly made food and also packaged food to-go. I usually will find something here that I would want to eat. For this visit, I ordered their chimichurri steak sandwich and also picked up a Cobb salad. We also got some items from the case. The indoor seating options are pretty small, but they also have some covered outdoor seating available.

Karen O.

Yelp
Have been to multiple Elephants locations and catered events in years past, and were excited about trying this location. What a disappointment. The layout and ordering is confusing, they were out of some things on an already limited hot food menu, the food and portion sizes were average, and it was way overpriced. The best thing on the menu (the Bistro Burger) is no longer available. If this location is representative of all Elephants locations now, it's definitely taken a downturn. Sorry to say we won't be returning.

Yelp
I've driven by this restaurant so many times and have been so curious to give it a try. My wife and I stopped by this past weekend and I'll start my review with my first impression: a deli meets boutique store? Anyway, I will say that there's ample seating (indoor and outdoor), as well as ample parking. The restaurant is clean and the service was friendly and efficient. Here, you can get food made to order or purchase a variety of cold sandwiches, salad, and beverages in the refrigerated section. What's odd (but cool?) is that you can also purchase knick-knacks like candy and various accessories. Okay, so now on to the food. Elephants has an extensive menu. I wanted to try so many things but opted to go the simple route and just got a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was just okay, if I'm being honest. Their bun was a bit dry for my liking. The fries were quite good (very crispy) but unfortunately, they gave me so little of it. For example, if you look at the photos on Yelp (specifically the Chicken Strips picture posted by "Jessica L."), you'll notice it has a bunch of fries... but if you order the cheeseburger and fries plate like I did, the fries that came with it is a fraction of the amount of fries in that Chicken Strips picture. I didn't count the exact number of fries that were on my plate, but if I had to estimate, I'd say I got 10 or 11 fries. My wife's plate had a similar amount of fries, too. With this info in mind, my only bit of feedback is that you should give more fries, especially if someone is ordering such an American staple of a dish. Oh, lastly, it's worth mentioning that the redeeming part of the meal was the Coca-Cola (yes, this place serves Coca-Cola products)! They had COLD cans in the refrigerated section so it paired perfectly with my food (no surprise there). So despite the dry bun and the limited amount of fries, I'm definitely willing to give this place another try because I really want to try the breakfast burrito next time! But until then, I'm sticking to my current rating.

Yelp
This place has gross and overpriced food. They charge 16.00 for a hamburger with no flavor. It's you pay 16.00 for a burger they should give you more than a small handful of fries. The service was wonderful though. We won't be back

Yelp
Let me start by saying I've been a patron of Elephants for many years now. I had not been to their new Cedar Hills location so my daughter and I thought we would check it out. I am so impressed! Their menu is no joke - you will be able to find something to satisfy any hunger pangs. So.Many.Options. We decided to get a few things to try - the mushroom soup, chicken pot pie and the Reuben. The soup was rich and flavorful. I am used to a thicker mushroom soup so to me this was a little on the thin/soupy side but the flavor was on point. The chicken pot pie was served deconstructed topped with two flakey biscuits. The star of the show was the Reuben - thick slices of rye, just the amount of melty cheese and sauerkraut. The pastrami was heavenly. I didn't get a pic because it was devoured so quickly! They had ample seating inside and covered seating outside. There was plenty of staff. If you want casual, quick, with lots of quality food options for lunch this is your go to place. Plus the murals are just that cute.

Yelp
This new Elephant's is similar to the NW flagship. They have hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, burgers, breakfast items, and salads to order. They have all their premade sweets and gelato too. They have a different ordering system where you order at the register and some of the to-order departments then dispatch it through the central kitchen to a pick up window, dine in or eat out. You will find all of the same departments, gifts, imported or small producer sauces, tinned fish, spices, greeting cards, and more. Some fresh breads and pastries. They have cheese and deli meats by the pound. They have a smaller selection of the famous Elephant's casseroles by the pound, and like the other stores, frozen to take home. They a good selection of fresh and frozen soup. They have a small selection of chilled drinks and beer and wine by the glass. Like the other locations, they do a good job with their wine bottle selection. They do have a happy hour which includes their wines by the glass. I think this will be popular. They are a great place to put together a picnic. Back when tech had offices and meetings, Elephant's was a popular catering source. They are a favorite for that. They bring that capability West to this new spot. It is very popular with families from strollers to grandparents. It has a very large shaded South-facing veranda. Of course, plenty of parking in a large multi-store retail area. There is plenty of seating and the tables can be moved for 1-2 on up to larger groups. It, like NW, would be a good spot for a business meeting, or a date, hours when it is not busy. Visitors to the new Beaverton Elephant's can venture to the Northwest original too. NW has a safe private parking lot, about twice the cooler space, twice the gifts, twice the deli meat and cheese, twice the shelf stable items, a full bar, a similar family clientele and about half the seating. Beaverton does have twice the stuffed animal toys though! Elaine Tanzer had a vision for Elephant's, this is it. It is not only a store, it is a place in the community.

Yelp
Although they are some good signature dishes ; tomat8orange soap, cookie and deli I don't feel that they really care. At the entrance the potted plants a dead sitting large pots , bad first impression , we don't care s.bout our place or you. This extended in side when I stood at the soup bar and 2 dark haired clerks were talking to each other even when they looked up at me and continued to ignore me, again I don't about you... So yes they have nice food but no customer care. Too bad the other location have always been great.

Yelp
I know. It's Elephants. But I thought them taking over a restaurant spot meant restaurant (not deli). Once we got over the "how do we do this", we looked around at pre-packaged options, and the counter areas. Opted for a veggie panini which we ordered at the counter. They give you a ticket to pay at a different register. I could see many people confused. The ambiance is just a deli, stop in grab your food eat outside or one of a few inside tables. Service was..hmm... one counter server was new and took 15 minutes (seriously) to get someone's order in. Another was kind of friendly but thought I could tell by looking what was vegetarian, and another was really nice. Food was good though. Maybe it's just opening kinks, but I don't think I'll be back. Not what I was hoping for in that huge space.

Yelp
I'm so excited they finally opened in Beaverton. This space is huge. Most of their locations are the size of a 7-11, but this is the size of a neighborhood market. Stopped in the day after their grand opening. Staff was well knowledgeable and well trained. They were all in great spirits and ready to help. BIG side note: They have a lot of Wheat free options for my daughter who has Celiac! I ordered the sausage frittata to go. Creamy, crunchy, flavorful and delicious! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wonderful variety of deli entres! Terrific mochas! However, I noticed the sandwiches in the case are dry as the bread curls up at the edges. They should be wrapped in plastic wrapping.

Yelp
I came in to check out this place since i've never been to a elephants delicatessen before. It was a cool concept of a mini market/deli. They had everything from sandwiches to pastas and wine. I walked around and see what they had. I first saw the cold sandwiches section. Then went down the aisle around to the cold dessert section. It seems like the staff were too busy doing nothing, didn't even bother to ask for help for service or nothing. There was an employee who was in the middle of making coffee drinks and I kindly asked them to help me out with the dessert section and so they did. I got some desserts (mini chocolate tart, cheesecake, macaron and sweet potato pumpkin pie) I wanted to get some sandwiches and soup as i was reading the menu. There was an employee who stood behind the salad bar and saw I was checking out the items but didn't bother to help me. Then she went to the back. Another employee came from the back and saw me standing there walked around and I was still standing there trying to get service.. After 5 minutes of seeing no service, i quickly went to the coffee register, paid for my desserts and left. Horrible service. No welcoming greets, not even a "is there anything I can help you with, or can I get you anything" with all the staff being there. Definitely don't have my service for the first impression. The pro is that all of their desserts that I got tasted really good! Definitely give them credit for that!

Yelp
Super disappointed today with our lunch! We stood at 1 counter for 5 mins then thinking it was our turn the rude assoc told us we could order at the counter behind us! We ordered to dine in and our combined lunch order was brought to us on 1 plate, my sandwich wasn't even CUT in half, there were no utensils included, not even a pickle or potato chip for my sandwich and my companions soup was in a to go bowl... when asked for a to go for my sandwich we were given a brown bag to wrap my sandwich in!!! Super disappointed I was so looking forward to this opening in Beaverton I won't rush back

Yelp
Extremely confusing when entering. Lots of customers roaming with "deer in the headlighhts" look. Not clear where to order what and how to pay. One register doesn't take cash. Didn't tell me soup came with a baguette and ordered an extra one. Chicken satay very rubbery. Chicken warm, peanut sauce ice cold. Tomato soup and veggies fritata good.

Yelp
Great spot with quick food service! We were greeted right as we got to the counters! I loved the tuna sandwhich and tomatoes soup. Oh and the mimosa was really good. I love the grocery section of this place. It's great that you can take home your favorites from here. They have a bunch of cute gift as well from some local vendors too! Definitely a great little spot for casua eats

Yelp
Was totally disappointed today, they do not make sandwiches to order! They are prepared ahead and in their refrigerated section. Was not good, bread hard, dry and one piece of meat and one piece of cheese. Asked for an iced mocha no whip cream ‍what the heck it's Saturday morning and we want a good sandwich and mocha with whip!! The employees were very nice. Not sure if I'll return

Yelp
I ordered the chicken soup and it was great. The broth was deep and a nice brown. One of the best chicken soups I've ever had at a restaurant. I dropped one star because the price, $9/pint, is a little high for a restaurant that you have to stand in line to order, get your own utensils and get your can of pop from the cooler at the rear of the shop, plus you then you have to stand in another line to get some ice for your drink. We met a friend for lunch at noon. The place was busy with a long line to order but it went quickly so no complaints there. The lines cleared up by about 12:20 with almost no wait. I would definitely return, just not at noon.

Yelp
We walked in and walked out. It might be ok of you like a cafeteria like setting and ordering. No thanks!

Yelp
We've been enjoying Elephants for decades. This was our first visit to the new Cedar Hills Blvd location. We liked it a lot and will return often. Their espresso barista makes a great espresso FYI.

Yelp
Great American food options of all kind. They have appetizers, salads, soups, entrees, desserts & everything in between. The ambiance is fun & energetic, feels more like a market. Limited indoor seating, but they also have covered & heated outdoor seating! The service is friendly & very kid friendly!

Yelp
I love Elephant's Deli and have been a loyal customer of their NW location for years. Needless to say, I was incredibly excited that they were opening a location on the Westside. I decided to order dinner and this is what I received - burnt and inedible chicken strips. I'm disappointed that they would even serve this to a customer, seeing and knowing how burnt it is. It doesn't matter if it was lunch or dinner rush, this is not the level of quality that I have come to expect of Elephant's.

Yelp
Disappointed. I used to work downtown and was a regular at the Elephants there so I was excited when I was able to stop in to the new location close to my house today. The place was packed and I can say the burgers smelled great. I only had a few minutes to grab something to go so I went with my all time favorite the Mac and cheese. I know I should not be so upset but for a small it cost $9 and it had no flavor not even salt. And to top it off the noodles were very undercooked. I get not wanting mushy noodles but cooked would have been great. To bad I was looking forward to retuning and trying a burger but this literally left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
The ordering process is too confusing and the BLT was not worth it. When you first walk in you'll see several lines going but there are no instructions as to which line to get into. The BLT was subar. I've had better BLTs at bars.

Yelp
Picked up some Mac and cheese and a salad for my sister from here. It was pretty meh compared to the nw location, which I felt had a lot more options and was fresher. I would've rather got mac and cheese from Panera for this price. Probably wouldn't come back to this location.

Yelp
Ordinary food, slow service, seems a bit unorganized. A little pricey for what it offers, coffee was good but it took forever to get it.

Yelp
We got a large Rich Turkey gravy such great flavor, No Fake taste, so worth getting along with the juicy turkey breast. The soups are great and also get them in the cold section for later eating. So much to choose from but some things are high priced The employees are always so helpful and kind. Do like getting the momma soup first thing in the morning. Good amount of easy parking for all sized vehicles.

Yelp
Love this place! The big cookies are so good if you can get them before they're gone also the chocolate mousse?! Why is it so good? The employees were really friendly, good vibe, and there's very cute gifts/nicknacks around the store. Parking can be rough certain times of day but it's a busy shopping center.
