"Eleventh Street Pizza is a great New York-style pizza spot, and where you want to go if the line at Miami Slice sucks. Their slices are foldable yet firm, and made with a delicious sourdough crust. Our favorite is the pepperoni and hot honey pizza, which comes topped with Calabrian chili paste, caramelized onions, and little pepperoni cups. The huge Sicilian square slices are great too. "Eleventh Street Pizza’s New York-style slices are foldable yet firm, and made with a crisp, flavorful sourdough crust. If you’re a fan of pepperoni and hot honey slices, theirs is excellent. It also comes in the form of a thick square slice. This place is great for takeout, and a nice backup plan if the line at Miami Slice is too long. "While this list is about pizza, it’s hard to talk about Eleventh Street without mentioning the garlic knots. Unlike the chewy, greasy ones you probably grew up with, these dense sourdough versions are blanketed by paper-thin Parmesan shreds and won’t pierce your throat with an acidic sting of garlic. Pair them with the venue’s signature pork and beef meatballs or spicy Caesar salad, and it’s almost a complete meal. Of course, you’re coming here for pizza, and these guys have the whole pepperoni and hot honey thing locked down. Customers love the seasonal, limited edition pizzas, whether it’s a caviar and potato pie (which might be coming back) or a summery release topped with corn and serrano chile. The downtown location, open until 4 a.m., is best suited for pickup and quick munching, while the Dadeland venue is great for family-friendly, sit-down dining." - Ashley Brozic
"It’s about an eight-minute walk from the Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre station to this Downtown pizzeria. They do square and round pies here. Our favorite is the pepperoni and hot honey, which comes topped with Calabrian chili paste, caramelized onions, and little pepperoni cups. "Eleventh Street makes one of the best pies in Miami, whether consumed on the water or dry land. The slice shop is in Downtown, which is close to some major boat-launching points, but they also deliver. This could come in handy if you (hypothetically) left the cooler of beer in your hotel room and (hypothetically) have run out of time to pick up more supplies before your voyage. Order a couple of pepperoni and hot honey pies straight to the marina and (hypothetically) all will be forgiven. Don’t forget to share with your captain, too." - ryan pfeffer
