Elsa's OTP used to be my place back about 15 years ago, then the vibe started to change & it was no longer on my list of places. Let me tell you, Elsa's & the city's BEST cosmo is BACK! Our server was a friendly & nice gal with excellent recommendations. She was attentive & definitely made our party feel genuinely welcomed. The meatball sliders were a hit, our shared pizza with a pistachio pesto was excellent, as was my pork chop salad with apples, glazed walnuts, black olives, & a host of other toppings. Another in our party had the porkchop sandwich, which had the same ingredients as my pizza & he gave it kudos, as well. Our other friend had the Smash Burger served with thick steakhouse French fries, which he really enjoyed. We will definitely be back! The Golden Gate cake & Strawberry Shortcake finished us off. I particularly enjoyed the Golden Gate Cak!

Google
So happy they brought back most of the old menu items! I ordered the cheeseburger for take out tonight and even being about 10 minutes late to pick up, it was still warm and perfectly cooked. Elsas has the BEST burger in the city and I was so sad when it was removed, but it's back and just as good as the last 11 years I've enjoyed them. Great service as always too!

Google
The issue here is not the food. It’s good. Not great just good Really only worth 2.5 stars. Definitely not something I would ever come back for The service was very good the atmosphere is what is it. Upscale. The issue is the prices. They are laughable. Please make sure you consult your financial investor before coming here. It almost a joke. I guess that’s why there were so few people here on a Saturday evening So many other places in Milwaukee to go to that has much better food than this. Now if you want to simply pay for the atmosphere and have a nice chat with a bartender or waiter Then this is your place If it not and you are looking for something of quality in your meal I suggest you go on down the road Elsa’s is an overrated establishment and not worthy of its prices in what you get back. Don’t believe. Dine at your own financial risk

Google
Very nice experience. We had delicious food and drinks. I had the Elsa Burger, Butternut Squash, with shrimp and peppers for shared appetizers, and a Bourbon Old Fashioned. We had 2 varieties of cheesecake (strawberry and turtle) for dessert. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant. Kaitlin's service was excellent. No reservations are needed (even on New Years Eve!).

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. I came with my sister who lives out of state. It’s her fave restaurant. Our server Steve was phenomenal! My sister’s favorite item isn’t on the menu anymore and Steve asked what it was and said that they could still make it so she got what she was wanting. I couldn’t decide between the grilled cheese and the Caesar salad salad so I asked if I could substitute fries for a side of a Caesar salad. Steve told me that wasn’t allowed, and that he could only do a regular side salad with either ranch, cheese, or balsamic. But then magically when my food came out, it was with a side Caesar salad. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is fun.

Elsa's has always been my go-to for a reservation free date night that's delicious and fun. Put your name in with the host, and go grab a drink at Taylors while you wait for a table. When I arrived last night, the restaurant was empty, the chandeliers were gone, and the overall decor was gutted. There was no wait, I was promptly seated, and I realized the menu was completely different. Martinis aren't listed on the menu but the same drinks still exist if you order them. We were able to order the classic Elsas Lemon Drop. Wings are gone, the bigger Mac is gone, the civiche is gone, and they only have 3 main dishes (2 burgers and a schnitzel). Appetizers were listed on the menu that they did not have in the kitchen and they also increased the automatic gratuity to 20% over 18%. I love Elsa's and I'll give them another chance, but this rebrand is very confusing and is obviously not working well. I'm just going to say it: Elsa's is trying to rebrand their restaurant for White People. The demographic of people in the restaurant is completely different now and the soul was literally sucked out of the place. Unfortunately this blatant racism may have scarred this business beyond repair because many customers will not be as forgiving as me and never return. Truthfully, Elsa's should get on top of this and apologize to the community. People aren't stupid, they know what you're doing.

I haven't been to Elsa's in 2 years. I've worked in the service industry from casual to fine dining- now at one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee. Us servers used to frequent Elsa's back in the day but I have to say that the new place is really subpar. We went in on a Thursday at 5 pm and we were the only table. Makes sense, it's early and I'm sure it gets busier later. However, the food was uninspired and bland. I wasn't too hungry when I came in and ordered the chicken ceaser salad and let me tell you how awful it was! Enemic, cubed chicken, lame croutons (the kind you get at the grocery store when you buy a prepackaged salad with the dressing and croutons in separate bags) and generic Romain lettuce. I LOVE a spicy margarita and this one was so boring and not spicy at all. My guy had the whiskey sour and that was definitely better than my drink. As someone who has worked in the industry for 25 years plus I was very sad that Elsa's has gone down the tube so much. With all the options in Milwaukee we will probably not come here again. Which, I hate to say because I used to love coming here for those amazing nachos!

Google
So I never really write reviews. But this place was so AMAZING I actually feel obligated to. Garrett our bar tender was absolutely amazing, super cool, nice, and an incredible mixologist. The Brussel sprouts were the best we ever had for only 7$!!! Amazing. I also had the best pork sandwich I’ve ever had and we got a rainbow trout that was to die for. Seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life and it is a MUST visit if you ever come to Milwaukee.

Yelp
The menu has changed so a lot of favorites are gone. However the burger was good and so were the martinis. The service is quick. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. Of course the ambiance is there is very laidback, good music, friendly staff and patrons.

Yelp
Today we visited our once favorite MKE haunt for the last time, which reopened with an all new menu. The menu (based on a consultant) no longer includes any fan favorites, like the amazing Au Poivre Burger, wings, or Hells Fries. I immediately wanted to leave upon this discovery and very much wish I had. It was such a disappointment. The Cobb salad I sampled was meh and missing ingredients. The chips with the spinach/artichoke dip were a bit stale. But hubby reported the new burger was tasty but no Au Poivre. On the bright side, our server was total a pro though. She was polite and kind and did her best to quell our obvious dissatisfaction. She knows what she was doing. Elsa's, if you're going to totally change everything about the menu, just totally rebrand and open under a new name. Save us the disappointment of expectation.

Brent K.

Yelp
Sad sad days with Elsa new menu. Can't believe they actually hired a consultant to create this tasteless revamp, might as well eat the menu. I have to wonder if the menu change was driven by a desire for a different clientele?
google avatar

Rafael S.

Yelp
I dined at Elsa's tonight and was thoroughly disappointed. The burger was bland, far below the standard I expected from a restaurant of this reputation. The meat tasted like it had been frozen, and the steak fries seemed like they came straight from a bag. This used to be one of the top restaurants in Milwaukee, but it's clear they no longer have a skilled chef in the kitchen. On top of that, the food menu is incredibly limited. If you're craving a good burger and fries, skip Elsa's and head to Culver's instead--you'll get a much better meal.

Allison S.

Yelp
Get the broccoli, you won't regret it! Great vibe and drinks! Always try to go when in Milwaukee.

Yelp
Elsa's has long been one of my Milwaukee favorites and one of my favorite places to bring visitors - does it get better than sharing a bed of wings with waffle fries over martinis? Over the past two years I began bringing my son there as a fun lunch together and he loved how special it felt. I honestly LIVED for their nachos and the Just Broccoli app which had the most heavenly dipping sauce. The new menu is a giant disappointment. Who is eating flatbread pizzas in 2025? And being gluten free, this was easily accommodated in the old menu - now, no longer. You've lost your way Elsa's and it's not too late to go back.

Yelp
My reviews I take in account value for money and expectations of certain category of the restaurant. I haven't been to Elsa's in over 10 years. Firstly, it has not changed very much interior wise. Other than missing the funky artwork on the wall. Service was okay. I ordered a pork chop Calabrese sandwich with fries, which was $18. My sister had a Derby burger, and my friend had a Beet salad. Just had to wait quite a while for my friend's salad to arrive while our other meals had been served. The porkchop Calabrese sandwich had good flavor with the sautéed veggies, but the thin pork was dry. Service was okay. I could not flag down someone to inquire about the salad until our server finally came by. Additionally, there's an 18% service charge in place of gratuity, which is fine. I just hope it doesn't impact the quality of service.

Yelp
This place is odd to say the least. Very nice interior but has a weird ambience of being a business casual hip hop restaurant. Maybe it was NYE but thought enter & think it is a fancy high end restaurant by the decor & interior. But then they have music like a dance party blasting. Odd Very be of half the people in suits & ties & half in sweat pants. The menu also didn't fit the vibe since again it had half nice higher end meals & then half sandwiches. Just seemed like a place that is unsure what their menu should be appealing to. I got the grouper bc you can't ever find it outside of Florida. While it tasted great, the portion for the sides were so petite it just left lots to Wonder. You look at all the people who got the sandwiches & the amount of fries they get are 3x as much as the potatoes you get for the grouper. We also got a dessert, Gooey Cake. I liked it but was on the pricier side, whereas the dinners were not pricey. They lose a star for service. They already add an 18% gratuity charge so your waiter/waitress has less incentive to make sure you enjoy your meal or time there. They give you an 8oz cup of water & may refill it once. It was cool inside but definitely not a place I'd recommend to a friend. Can't call it a date night place bc the loud music & poor service. It is a restaurant that wants to act like it is a Chicago restaurant but doesn't know which clientele they should be marketing to.

Yelp
We always make a stop at Elsa's when we are in town. This new menu is a total let down. The new management team turns Elsa's to Applebees. We go to Elsa's because of their special recipes elevated burgers, nachos, wings. Milwaukee has plenty mediocre burger joints, Elsa's shall not go down that path.

William C.

Yelp
Went Elsa's last night for dinner before the bucks game. The food wasn't very good. The new menu is very small which I like, but the choices are not good. I had the "lupa" not good.. The service was still top notch. Karl please bring the old menu back!! I want my Elsa's back!!

Tom N.

Yelp
A Milwaukee staple for decades now sucks. So sad. Menu change? Sucks. No Hellfire fries. No wings. No pork variation No bigger Mac. Why? Shutdown for " kitchen remodel" but open for lunch? BS . If there are security concerns after the bullet shot then add a security guard. This is absolute shame. We've gone there for decades. No more unless changes are made. Sorry. Not sorry.

Eugene V.

Yelp
The service is great but the "NEW" menu is not good. Please bring back the wings and nachos. Thanks

Michelle N.

Yelp
I went for dinner tonight On one eleven. I was extremely disappointed with the food. No wings no nachos no Water chestnuts. All the Delicious things.I used to go therefore are no more. I have the caesar salad with chicken assuming it would be grilled wrong. Just cold chicken. I really don't see the point in returning.

Yelp
Disappointed and will not recommend to anyone. Carded twice, seated next to both restrooms, ordered a combo platter of all flats and half were drumsticks, and ordered a second bottled beer, which took nearly 10min. Not really given a discard plate for 30 wings. The wings are more bone than meat; take a look at the pic. Full workday, worked out after, ready for my wings, and left disappointed.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
This is a great date night dinner spot - you get the familiarity of the fast food restaurant Kopp's but with a fancy upgrade (Kopp's and Elsa's have the same ownership). That said, if it's your first time, try out one of the burgers (especially if you're a fan of Kopp's burgers). I had the APV Burger 11 (gorgonzola cheese and bacon spiced with peppercorns and ground black pepper), it was 100% the fanciest burger I've ever eaten. The fries are potato wedges, not what I expected, but it works as an elevation to Kopp's fries. For dessert, I ordered the hot fudge croissant. This took a while to come out and when it did, it was the strawberry croissant. Their remedy to this was to add hot fudge over the strawberries. I imagine it would have taken a while to make a new, correct version. Overall, I'd go back, there's plenty on the menu I still want to try out. The ambiance is great, doesn't feel like I'm in a restaurant, more so felt like it was once an art gallery turned into a fancy restaurant.

Yelp
Living in Grafton for a few years now enjoying the North Shore was and is still new to me. This place like an old friend seemed slightly threatened by a JS online article today. So here is to you glistening stylish and sumptuous dear. To many many more a year may you weather trends and remake old friends!

P O.

Yelp
New menu is a joke. They took off all of the favs like pork and chicken. Nothing looked appealing and the salad had elements that would break your tooth. We were so disappointed but will wait three months and go back. The consultant who did the menu should be banned.

Yelp
I came in the late afternoon/early evening on a Friday and sat at the bar. It was hard to notice the restaurant from the outside. I walked from the park side and looked at the signs. I walked past without noticing first. Inside the restaurant was quite nice and clean. It looked so slow that I was debating whether to walk back. Anyhow, I am glad to stay over. I tried their galettes 'n greens. It had 2 sizes, I got the small/regular one. Enough for one person or a good amount if you are sharing and planning to order more items. It had lots of onions, bacon, and olives, bread was crispy thin crust style. My favorite. For the drink, I got Vatican Coffee. I am a big coffee lover, but I am always picky when it gets mixed with alcohol as the drink. I am glad with my choice of Vatican Coffee. It wasn't strong, but a good balance of espresso and alcohol. Besides food and drink, I didn't like the bar area. It was uncomfortable. The stools were ok, but the bar tap was not my liking. The leather part at the edge was bigger and taller than where the actual food and drink stand on. Most of the bars I visited had very close to a smooth edge. which makes it easier to rest your arm or reach for your food/drink. The service was nice. The ladies were on point

Yelp
Sad,that this once iconic restaurant has dulled itself out! The 'soft' menu was horrible, the music too loud and felt like a black board scratching in the background. The art work is gone, and made the atmosphere feel like a paled, unfinished, opened-sooner-than planned,forgot-to-put-on-makeup older cousin! The food...Yuk! The chicken milanese sandwich was dry and had no flavor. I could've just had the fries! (Bring back the grilled cheese sandwich and Monday fries please!) I like that Elsa's wants to get back to it's sophisticated roots and grown up atmosphere. I'm all for 21+, but keep it grown up with good food and service. The waiter felt like he was mad that he had to be there and barely stuck around, did he deserve the automatic tip, nope! I'm okay with change to elevate, and with that sometimes comes disappointment, but don't lose the essence. Keep what made Elsa's unique. It's ability to combine the sophisticated with the comfort! Don't sleep on what you had!
google avatar

Emma F.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere at Elsa's however it's confusing when you walk in. Didn't know if they seat you, or if you seat yourself. Once we got our table the service was very good and we never had a glass of water more than half empty! To start my boyfriend and I got drinks (Cabernet for David and mojito for myself). I wasn't a huge fan of my mojito because it was very lime-heavy but David liked my drink. So I guess it's person dependent... The food was very good. I really enjoyed my Alfredo burger. It was juicy and very flavorful! I was nervous it would be extremely heavy seeing "Alfredo" in the title, but it ended up being perfect! Not too heavy and if anything could have used a little more Alfredo sauce! David's sandwich was also great! I'm not even a fan of peppers and I enjoyed his sandwich. Lots of flavor as well! The only part of the food that was lacking were the fries. Could have used more seasoning. Overall I would definitely go back to Elsa's as the food was great and I want to try one of their martinis (I think that's the drink they are known for).
google avatar

Lala S.

Yelp
Love coming to Elsa's! This is one of my favorite places to come for a cosmopolitan! I've eaten plenty of their appetizers and their chicken wings which seems to be one of the places that people frequent for their wings.
google avatar

Jerilyn A.

Yelp
I visited Elsa's on a Friday around lunch time and it started to fill up pretty quickly. We sat ourselves and I know Elsa's is known to have good wings, but I wanted to try a burger as I heard those were good too. I tried the bigger Mac which I found to be pretty big so the name was fitting. I really enjoyed the burger and it was still good the next day when I had the other half. I have no complaints about my visit and I would definitely come back for lunch.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
A friend and I came here at 6pm on a Thursday night for a long overdue catch up. What a unique place! I loved getting dressed up a little bit but also knowing that I'm going to have a burger in my fancy clothes. We sat at the back in the low tables and it was a nice atmosphere. The restaurant filled up quickly and we honestly had a blast! *no reservations accepted We shared everything we got and by far the highlights were the appetizer nachos and the bigger Mac burger. The BLT was good but I'm not really a BLT kind of gal, I always find them a little boring. Minus one star because the toppings on the BLT I get were scarce. It was a small sandwich. The service was great, food was fantastic, and the atmosphere/vibe tied it all together for a perfect night out.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has never waivered for the test of time! Been coming her for decades and still as awesome as the 80s! The burgers are still enough to split with your own fries and garnish which is always a classy touch! Service is always friendly and prompt and the decor is like you're in New York. Sleek and stylish. Love the Carnegie cheesecake always special but this time tried something new and oh mylanta the rum cake was to die for! The beet salad wasn't anything special but still good.

Yelp
Elsa's is a classic Milwaukee staple. I appreciate their consistency of greatness throughout the years. I know that I can show up and get amazing food every single time I go there. The cosmos!!!! BEST IN MILWAUKEE. Every time a friend turns 21, I bring them here for their first drink - start it out right with the best Cosmo ever. They are consistently mind-blowingly good and the staff is always exceptional, too. Seth, a bartender I've had the pleasure of chatting with on many visits, not only makes a perfect Cosmo, but is great company at the bar. And even though he doesn't look it- he has been working there roughly 20+ years. Which to me says that this is a good place to work and makes me happier to support it. It also helps that this establishment is owned by the same owner of Kopp's, so in addition to their wings being delicious they are a serious contender for best burger in Milwaukee. They also have an extensive menu with options for all tastes - excellent veggie skillets, sandwiches, pork loin; just about anything you can think of.

Julie C.

Yelp
oh my god best martinis ever. You have to check this place out!! The lady bartender, can't remember her name, was amazing! She's Been there 4 years!! You have to go to the restaurant if you are in Milwaukee!!

Paulina V.

Yelp
Had a lovely time. John the manager was the sweetest and extremely hospitable. Food was great.

Yelp
Always great ambiance and the decor changes often. Food is good. Drinks are better. Service always good. I had a seasonal drink , Tom and Jerry (rum , brandy and egg nog), so good. And my favorite. Golden gate cake !

Yelp
This place is a solid 4 stars all the way around. The food is good, the location is historic, and the vibes are great. Apparently, this place is over 40 years old and just crowded everyday of the week. One thing that really stood out to me was the energy and the great vibes, people were really enjoying themselves here. Decor-very hip and historic at the same time. The art in the place is simple, yet elegant. The marble floors and bar top give this place a sense of elegance I really liked. The restrooms are dark and fun. It's a very busy place with lots going on. Service-this was the miss for me and the reason for giving them 5 stars. Our waiter was a bit weird and not really helpful with questions about the menu. Food-awesome appetizers!! This was the best part of our dinner. We had the following apps: Hell's Fire Fries-5/5 stars. These are simply amazing and huge portions. The potato's are thick cut and smothered with melted cheese and drizzled with buffalo sauce. Water Chestnuts-5/5 stars. Marinated and wrapped in thick nueske's bacon. Served on cucumber and radish slices with a side of honey. Something I've never had and absolutely loved. Galettes 'N Greens-5/5 stars. A french bistro style flatbread is topped with parmesan cheese, nueske's bacon, black olives, and caramelized onions, then broiled until crisp. Garnished with a side of mixed greens, red onions and drizzled with vinaigrette. Super tasty! Elsa's Chicken Sandwich-4/5 stars. It was different and well made, the taste just didn't knock me off my feet like the apps did. I can't wait to go back!!!

Yelp
There are lots of good options at Elsa's but I have to say their hamburger is one of the best in Milwaukee. Their menu offers a good variety for every taste, and I find the food quality to be good and consistent. Love this place!
google avatar

Skarzan F.

Yelp
A great place for decades and decades. Consistently good food and service. When I'm in town I have the burger aux poivre 2 or 3 times in a week... it can't be beat! Great ambiance with expertly curated rotating art and fun crowds.
google avatar

Bryan J.

Yelp
Elsa's is a place that screams date night. Not to say that isn't worth a day time visit, but I prefer the nighttime atmosphere. It's floor to ceiling beams along the walls give the illusion that it's larger than in reality. Lighting at night is perfect for a comfortable evening out. The staff are professionals and are very prompt with caring for guests. Highly recommend you order one of their martinis. They are made with precision and do not hold back. Food is delicious here, as well. Grab their wings for something quick. Or get one of their highly recommended burgers. To me, this place satisfies everyone when it has the superb combination of martinis and burgers.
google avatar

Molly S.

Yelp
The drinks are definitely the highlight here. They're delicious with such fun options to choose from, cant go wrong! Food is definitely average, not what I was expecting here, lots of burgers and sandwiches and didn't match the vibe. Would return just for pre dinner drinks!
google avatar

Apurba B.

Yelp
After a scrumptious meal downtown, we decided to try Elsa's for dessert and drinks. And it was SPOT ON! It was my first time at Elsa's and first time seeing their signature floor to ceiling green glass Christmas tree in person and it was every bit gorgeous and magnificent The server was very lovely and suggested a few different desserts and drinks. We got a couple of martinis to wash down the desserts - Esspresso and lemon drop to be exact. The black out torte is dense and very much for a dark chocolate lover (that we are). The key lime tart had a good crumb and sour/sweet in taste. The world's smallest turtle sundae was surprisingly perfect amount of bites we needed for the sweet ending to the evening. Absolutely recommend Elsa's this holiday season while your out and about in Downtown Milwaukee enjoying the Christmas lights in the parks.
google avatar

Quinn H.

Yelp
yum. Elsa's is the perfect place for a very solid burger and a very good martini. There are plenty of tables but be warned this is a popular spot in town. When you walk in, it is a little awkward because there is no hostess stand, you just stand and wait for someone to greet you. Once seated, you will have a great meal to be shared amongst friends. I had the Burger Au Poivre and the St. Germain Martini- both were delicious! There is so much food, you will for sure have leftovers. The dessert always looks so good, but typically I am too full to try! Overall, I would definitely return. My only complaint is our waiter was at our table a lot and we felt rushed to order. Although, if you have a different server- you probably will not feel that way. Side note: 18% gratuity is included on the check
google avatar

Krystal B.

Yelp
The drinks were good here. The Starburst Martini is very popular. Visiting from Atlanta, I was skeptical of their wings but they were fried to perfection. Their burgers were pretty good. I got their version of the Big Mac. It was good but didn't remind me of a Big Mac. I gave them a 4 because the prices are a bit steep, almost $20 for wings and the drinks cost about $20 as well.
google avatar

Caroline Y.

Yelp
Went for date night for a different vibe and we got it! Kind of confusing when you walk in as there is no host stand. Ended up wandering to the bar to figure out who I had to talk to get a table. Staff was pleasant. Host sat us quickly. Tables are pretty crowded and if we hadn't been tucked against a wall I probably would've been annoyed We ordered Paloma's thinking we would get traditional but got martinis which was fun but definitely only wanted one (too sweet for my taste) Got the bacon wrapped water chestnuts as the app and they were DELICIOUS! We both got burgers (no bun for me as I'm gf) and they were good! Big menu to choose from as well. Would definitely go back and would recommend if you're looking for a fun new rotation for date night!

Yelp
terrific spot for any occasion and any meal. Whether you dine at the bar, in the main dining area or the lounge The food options are varied and delicious. Excellent & consistent customer service. It's an An all around great vibe.

Yelp
Elsa's consistency is unmatched. They always deliver the same great service and delicious food. They pour an awesome drink and you can't go wrong with anything in the menu though I am partial to the pork chop sandwich and the patty melt. If you haven't stopped in lately--put it back on your list.
google avatar

Yelp
Eclectic and tasty food offerings. Outstanding service, even when packed. Best martini's, filled to the brim, in the city.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to get cute and hear music while people watching, this is definitely it, amazing food and fast service even when it busy! Must go and make sure you look cute.

Yelp
Honestly, I didn't have much of the food here, just the nachos (which were average. It was surprise Lu noise for a bit of the time. Not sure what was going on, but it cleared up. Very good (but pricey drinks)! I chose the Saint Germain and the a cheap Bell's Two Hearted. But it's right on Cathedral Square so a nice view and fun place to walk around. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive!

Maddy F.

Yelp
Decent service, decent food. Good drinks but a bit too pricey for the lack of quality in my opinion. I would go again, but I wouldn't be the one to suggest ‍

Yelp
Honestly, I haven't been to Elsa's On The Park since my junior year in college, that was in 1985. I couldn't tell you what took me so long to come back. I always had an excuse, the place was always insanely crowded and parking sometimes ain't the best. I always believed the place was a bit upscale for my likes, despite the restaurants very non upscale menu which by the way I appreciate. Anyway, my wife and I we're coming back from a play at Marquette and we were hungry. So we decided to go to Elsa's, what the heck, why not. We ordered 30 wings with various flavors and fries Well one thing is for sure, their food is still good and very reasonably priced. Well one thing for sure, it won't take me 30 years to come back.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice as a tourist. My friend and I shared the wing platter which was more than enough. The drinks were amazing and service was good. I was included in a large party and they accommodated us well.

Yelp
The food here is sooo good! The only weird thing is the host stand. There really isn't one so you kind of just wait in the middle of the restaurant for someone to come seat you and they are pretty much always packed during peak hours. Not a lot of room to wait for a table. I haven't had a bad martini here yet and it's what they're known for. The tangy teriyaki wings are some of the best wings I've hand in a long time. Great speedy service overall. Food also came out very quickly. Overall one of my top spots for drinks and dinner. Love the jazz and overall environment.

Yelp
I had not been to Elsa's in quite some time, and wanted to continue to support some truly Milwaukee restaurants, so figured we would go for dinner with a friend! The ambiance is always so fun at Elsa's, and with social distancing guidelines in place, dare I say it was more enjoyable than other times I've visited as we weren't absolutely packed into the restaurant and could hear each other talk! Cocktail and drink list has always been good, definitely something for everyone! The menu is actually quite large, and it does take a bit to read all the options! Our friend was super confused by the "standard garnish" note that was all over the menu. It made it seem like you couldn't alter the toppings on any of your sandwiches, but was later clarified that it's regarding the plate garnish, which seemed silly to call out. I ordered the pork tenderloin salad, which was unexpectedly delicious! The pork was cooked perfectly, and the salad was flavorful. Came with a croissant on the side which was kind of unique?! Others got Club and Pork sandwiches, respectively. Ended my dinner with a Turtle Sundae too! All in all a nice night out with a friend, and would likely come back on occasion!

Yelp
The food was good but that doesn't make up for the service I received. The vibes were super awkward upon arrival everytime I go here, and our server was extremely rude. He was an older man, didn't smile, greet us, ask for drinks, or anything you usually expect. He walked up and immediately said "what are we having" and cut me off as i was ordering and stared at my sister who just opened her menu. Super weird lmao. See for yourself I guess! Would not recommend if you're looking for nice service! Fast food employees will treat you better lol. I was going to ask for a manager but I didn't care enough because I knew I wasn't going back again.

Yelp
This review is for the last two times I visited and I must say I was so pleased by the staff each time I visited! Very charismatic, efficient, and consistent with each employee that we had the honor to have the service of! The atmosphere is amazing, not like any other business in the city. Good drinks and the food is pretty good as well! The menu is pricey but I think is worth a night out to once in awhile with your friends are significant other! Will actually be coming by again tonight!(: Update: went again last night and once again amazed by the staff! So very friendly! I tried the appetizers this time for the first time and they were delicious!!
