I ordered the Philly cheese brisket wrap, baked beans and the BBQ brisket nachos. The food overall was excellent. Brisket was tender and flavorful, and the wrap was delicious. However, the BBQ sauce really missed the mark. It clashed with the flavor of the brisket and threw off the taste of the nachos. Thankfully, the service made up for it…fast, friendly, and absolutely no wait time. Would definitely return, but I’d skip the BBQ sauce next time.

Omar was great with help of knowing what to order! We had the Smoked Turkey Deluxe, Redheaded Step Child, Smoked Wings with beans and potato salad. All was exceptional! Definitely recommend!

It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of vibe. But awesome people, great food, and never judge a book by its cover. Definitely a Memphis MUST! First-time experience. Turkey cheddar deluxe on a croissant. Best croissant I have ever had in my life! My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich.

Excellent low key bbq & sandwich joint. Was recommended to us by a bartender & he was right. Huge number of sandwich choices & they are giant. I couldn’t finish half of one. My wife got ribs which were also great. Tables outside, very down to earth. Highly recommended!

We decided to visit this establishment based on its excellent reviews, and I must say, the brisket and potato salad did not disappoint—they were absolutely delicious! However, the BBQ sliders fell a bit short of my expectations. Without a doubt, this is the premier destination for brisket in the city, and it's the best I've had so far. One area that could use improvement is cleanliness. We were seated near the TV, which had a noticeable layer of dust, and the overall appearance of the place suggested it could benefit from a thorough cleaning.

Absolutely amazing! Some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. Shack Attack was $55 meant for two people and it was everything and more. 5 ribs, 3 large wings, sausage, two big sides and the best brisket I’ve ever had!

Decided to come here based on the high reviews and it was the best decision ever! We were greeted at the door, he took time to go over the menu with us, and the food was absolutely AMAZING! We got the half rack of ribs that fell off the bone and the beans were delicious. The sandwich was great as well! (Burgers were good too, but not pictured.) If you’re debating eating here because it has, “Shack,” in the name and sort of looks like a shack….just do it because it was DELICIOUS!

While traveling through the area, we stopped to have dinner in Memphis and wanted to try a local favorite barbecue place. Elwood‘s Shack caught our eye and did not disappoint. I wish you could smell the delicious aroma of smoked meats, homemade barbecue sauce and rubs, and delectable slow-cooked sides. The owner was incredibly kind and hospitable, he welcomed us right in and jokingly told us he was from our hometown. Then he proceeded to show us the fan favorites of the menu and gave us some great recommendations based on our family’s needs. This place is absolutely kid friendly and you’ll be able to find something for picky eaters and gourmets alike. The only negative part of the experience is that I will now be missing these baked beans for the rest of my life. Until I return. Oh! And the breakfast menu looks so good!
