Ely's is on my list of favorites. Located in a busy shopping center, in heart of Henderson. Ely's now occupies another landmark restaurant but stands on its own. They have a large menu, that runs the entire spectrum of breakfast and lunch, with a few special standouts.
I've eaten Ely's a few times now, but steered back in the homemade menudo. A lightly spicy broth, with tender tripe, served with a toasted roll.
I ate every drop.
My mom ordered the Eggs with chorizo, served with rice, beans and tortillas. We shared our breakfast, i definitely wanted more of the chorizo and eggs.
Our server, Claudia, was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. She checked on us often and we didn't have to ask for anything. She was on her A game.
This place is popular with young and old. A good place for a quiet breakfast and for big groups and families. My suggestion is to get there early or be prepared to wait.
I highly recommend this place
