The Best Korean Barbecue in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Open until 3 a.m., this Korean barbecue spot does not lack options. Think combination platters and all-you-can-eat feasts with 15 different proteins to choose from, to meat and seafood combos for the tabletop grill. The AYCE options at lunch and dinner are bargains at $25 and $30, respectively. Open late." - Candy Hom

I highly recommend this place for authentic Korean BBQ. Our experience was a good one. I did like the fact that people came to help you cook. I just wished they would ask first because there was a couple of times that I wanted to cook my meat longer and someone came and turned my meat over before I was ready too. I think that asking first would be more appropriate. I did however enjoy the food selection and the entertainment was fantastic. I would love to come back and try some other food items. We had a great experience we will be back.

This is my new favorite and the best AYCE Korean BBQ place I had around here!! The food was amazing, especially Cilantro Pork belly and Kimji side. Fried dumplings and soy bean paste soup were hot and delicious. Service we got was the best, she was so kind and amazing!! I will definitely come back to this place again. They open until late like 3 in the morning too. They also include service fee already to the bill but they did amazing job for service, we please to pay for that part.

We know there are lots of places to get AYCE KBBQ in the metro-atlanta area but if you haven’t tried E.M.Bop - you’re missing out! It’s our current favorite because of the variety of menu items, delicious side dishes and the quality of their meat. PLUS, it’s SO affordable! It’s a win-win for us! 😋🤩 Here are some of our favorite things to order: 🥓 Brisket 🐷 Pork Belly 🥩 Seasoned Short Rib Cuts 🌽 Corn Cheese 🥚 Egg Soufflé 🐮 Beef Tartare

This place is one of our favorite spots for AYCE Korean BBQ in Duluth, Georgia. For $29.99, plus 20% gratuity that is automatically added, the price is decent, and you cook the meats yourself. They give you 90 minutes to eat, you can order up to 3 meats at a time, and the menu tells you how long to cook your meats on each side for your liking. The service is always great, quick, and accommodating. Our go-to meats would be the EM Bop short ribs, seasoned short ribs, beef bulgogi, and spicy pork belly. Everything is always delicious!

I dined here with my coworkers, and this is my third visit. Personally, I really enjoy Korean food. However, I was quite disappointed this time. We were seated at the long table near the restroom and were served by an older female server who, unfortunately, was unfriendly, stern, and seemed unwilling to serve us properly. I felt embarrassed bringing my coworkers here and receiving such treatment. The food is delicious and certainly not cheap, so I expected better service. We were given 90 minutes to enjoy the all-you-can-eat experience, but every time we tried to order more meat, the server was slow, visibly annoyed, and not responsive. It’s disheartening. I thought I had found my favorite spot, but this experience made me think twice.

Came here for KBBQ the other day and the food was great, but honestly, Jon made the whole experience even better. He was super friendly and really on top of everything—kept our grill clean, brought out stuff fast, and even helped us cook a bit when we didn’t know what we were doing. You can tell he actually cares and enjoys what he’s doing. Really appreciated how chill and helpful he was. If you go, ask for Jon!

Updating a previous review*** Our experience tonight was awesome. We dined on a Friday evening and it was quite busy. However, all the servers were incredibly attentive and friendly. We had Jasmine as our server tonight and she was incredible. Our dinner was amazing thanks to her service and the qualify of food tonight. We can’t wait to be back!

Yelp
FYI you will get service fee applied for parties 2+ Regardless, still probably my favorite kbbq at the moment. The only place where you can get yukhae, or Korean beef tartare. Open late, this place is great for small dates or big birthday party gatherings. Reservations and wait list is really well done here, they actually pick up the phone if you want to call in advance, and the wait list is super pain free. Go inside, sign the kiosk, and you'll get a call when it's ready. Banchan or the side dishes are alright, they pretty much have the basics like kimchi, pickled pear, mac salad, but are missing favorites like spicy fish cake or marinated potato. Their sauces might be my favorite, most notably the green chimmichurri sauce. It's bright, a little acidic, and has a great creamy taste, I always ask for extra. Also appreciate they already have sesame oil salt sauce already, always an OG flavor. Their brisket is decent, I do like their flavored pork belly though. Tbh all their marinated meats are really good, but I really wish their brisket was cut thinner and had more marbling. Great servers, great food, love this place and hope they stick around.

Yelp
E.M. Bop is amazing value for the price at $30 per person. I've been to several different KBBQ places throughout the U.S. and I can honestly say that this place has the best service for AYCE. They were on top of it with the grill changes and made sure we never had a grill that was burnt. In our one hour of dining, they probably changed our grill over 5 times (crazy!). It's obvious that they're attentive to what's going on without being overbearing. You're supposed to self-service and cook the meat yourself, but we found that the servers would come around quite often and cook for us. They always remembered our order correctly and never forgot about anything we asked for which is impressive considering how busy it was. The AYCE menu was extensive and encompassed a variety of different meats (chicken, squid, beef, pork, etc.). The meat quality was pretty good too, especially considering the price we paid.

Yelp
BEST. KBBQ. EVER. The AYCE prices are SO reasonable ~$30 for a weekend dinner. They have a wider variety of meats than any other place I've seen in Duluth, including beef tartar! The service has been fantastic both times I've gone. The servers know what you want without having to ask and they won't forget your table. The meat is refilled constantly and they keep changing the grill. Couldn't get any better!!! The only downside is that there's typically a pretty long wait. You can expect to wait at least 1 hour, but they have a virtual waitlist and you can get appetizers or drinks while waiting.

Yelp
This KBBQ restaurant in Duluth used to be good, now it's more catered to those that like AYCE. We got there around 6:30 pm on a Friday night and waited about 30 minutes for a table. Service overall was pretty good, but the meat quality has gone down. We ordered combo B and enjoyed the service more than the meat... There were plenty of side dishes and they were alright. Ice cold beer and soju made our dinner a bit better.

Yelp
Had a terrible experience this past weekend that let me and my friends to decided we're not coming back to E.M Bop. This is very unfortunate because we actually love the food here and we pretty much come at least once a month, but these new servers they have are ruining the experience for everyone. Our server was super rude and kept rushing everything. I asked for a soda after I saw he brought one for someone else in my table (he never asked me what I wanted to drink) and he literally rolled his eyes at me and walked away. Their menu says the cut off time is 90 minutes but after an hour of being there our server brought our checks without us asking for it. It was one of my friends birthday and another friend wanted to pay for her so we asked if he could put her check in his. The server got super annoyed and handed my friend a notepad and a pen so she could write how we wanted check splits because "he was confused". He wasn't confused, he was just annoyed at something that wouldn't had happened if he asked first if we were ready for the checks and how we wanted them split. My friend asked if she could have some more cheese corn before we paid he said "no because I already closed your check" but we literally never told him we were done smh. After this we all agreed we're not coming back unfortunately. Their menu also states that they will charge 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more but they charge this to everyone even when we had 2 people, or 4 people. This is not okay when you're receiving the worst service ever.

Yelp
We had a large group reservation. Not only they prepared everything so well, the service was actually one of the best. With so many people in our group, we had many requests of little things and kept ordering meat but the servers were on top of it. We were in 4 different tables and everyone in our party had a great time. Thank you!

Yelp
We checked in upon arrival at the kiosk and was #2 in line. There was no one at the front desk, no one else waiting, and they did not seem busy. One of the staff walked by and said nothing, he answered the phone and left. We waited close to about 10 mins with zero acknowledgment of our existence from the staff and had considered leaving. Finally someone comes by and takes us to our table. We went with the ayce option. Our entire experience was average. Our server was somewhat attentive and changed our grill plenty of times, however when we asked for more sides the service was extremely slow. The meat quality is above average but lacked flavor.

Yelp
(1/6/24 Update): It's been a few years since I last came here. Parking lot is still super packed and especially weekend nights, it is hard to find parking. The restaurant opens very late (3:00am) The restaurant itself is very small compared to many Korean BBQ spots and seating can be limited. Luckily we were seated right away. We all ordered the AYCE option which is only $29.99 right now. I will start out with everything that I ordered that was amazing: The beef brisket was amazing because it was thinly slicked and very very tasty. The garlic and fresh shrimp was a bit small but still tasty. The EM Bop Short Rib Cuts, Seasoned Short Rib Cuts, and Teriyaki Short Rib Cuts were definitely must order items on the menu. They were all marinated to perfection and highly delicious. This place has the best AYCE side dishes. Surprisingly I loved their cucumbers, fish cakes, cheese corn, and steamed eggs. The salad here wasn't too good as it had no flavor. I will say theh have some green lime chili cilantro sauce that was just off the chain. The sauce reminds me of the green cilantro sauce at a Mexican restaurant. I had to get refills on this sauce!! Customer service was amazing as the employees were hustling like crazy. We never had an issue with ordering more items. The price point on this was amazing for the quality and quantity of foods. I really can't wait to come back here again and highly recommend this place if your in the Duluth area and wanting some AYCE Korean bbq. (**Their cokes here are served from a bottle so there are no free refills for soft drinks here!)

Yelp
This is my go-to spot for KBBQ. The price to meat/side selection ratio is undefeated. Some major pluses are the built-in vents that help the smoke from destroying you while you eat & this often the grills are changed (basically with every meat). -1 just because the service experience can be pretty inconsistent depending on who is helping you. They also don't seem to have a fixed server zone so everyone is kind of everywhere & you have to really try to flag someone down when it gets busy (which is challenging if you're put in one of the side rooms).. the service call button used to help but it seems like they've removed those. Nevertheless, I have & will continue to frequent this place for my KBBQ needs!

Yelp
A delicious late night option! I came in with as a group of 4 past midnight and it was great. We ordered a bunch of appetizers as well as a soup and the bulgogi dish. The side dishes were so yummy we had to ask for refills on them. I particularly liked the pickled squash-like vegetable, but I couldn't tell what it was. I wish it was possible to customize the spice level of the tteokbokki - it's on the mild side and very cheesy. Also, like others have said, the gratuity is automatically added to the charge but I have no issue with this. Much easier than the usual American tipping culture ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We paid ~$120 for the meal and left with two boxes of leftovers. Personally, I think it's great value and quality.

I absolutely love it here! It's affordable with a wide selection of meats to choose from. The service is exceptional too!

Yelp
Definitely eat here if you love AYCE Korean BBQ - I came with a party of 4, and we all ordered the $29.99 AYCE BBQ. FYI AYCE Mon-Fri lunch is $24.99. Be careful - they charge $5/oz for any leftover meat & seafood. And they automatically charge a 20% tip. What about the restaurant name? "Eat More Bap", lol. For regular food, you don't get much banchan - but once you order AYCE, a feast arrives - e.g., fried mandu (ok), steamed egg (yum), somen noodles (bland), den jang jigae, corn cheese, salad, rice, etc. Look at the smorgasbord in my photo! Ordered marinated pork steak (yum), seasoned short rib cuts (soft meat), thinly sliced brisket, and shrimp (shelled - boo). Definitely careful to not over-order - check out the list of many meats included in the AYCE price! I'd definitely recommend this spot for AYCE Korean BBQ. My friend says this is her favorite Korean BBQ place - I still favor another spot :)

Yelp
20% Tip Based on Total AND Tax... not just total bill beware of this. Two words: Hands on! The service here is non-stop, they're always checking in on you making sure you're satisfied with everything. The ambiance is your traditional KKBQ with dividers for tables, except they're coal burned and not gas burned grills. The food is exceptional, $24.99 for lunch AYCE and $29.99 for AYCE dinner. If you have ANY food allergies, make sure to let them know as they tend to mix everything up for you. The staff is kind, and extremely attentive to all your needs and concerns.

Yelp
$30 all you can eat KBBQ should be a no brainer and the staff at E. M. Bop Assures that it is. The options are plenty, though the only let you get two selections at a time so choose wisely! When I got here, there was 3 parties in front of my own, within the time I was able to visit the restroom my party was sat with all the fixings in front of us! Ordering was quick and easy, there was never a beat in service ever, and everyone was so nice! There's an added 20% gratuity in the final price, just a heads up! Will definitely be back to try their lunch options!

Yelp
We tried the Premium Combo and loved it! ALL beef ~ no pork! Typically, we don't go for the all-you-can-eat but I can see us giving that a try next time. Things you should know: I. PARKING Very straightforward. E.M.Bop is within a plaza and shares a free, public parking lot with the adjacent businesses. II. SERVICE Our waitress did her best to attend to the meats, but the place was incredibly busy. We ended up flipping items ourselves quite a bit, but that's honestly not a big deal. I didn't like that 상추 costed SIX extra dollars to have with your meal!! 너무 비싸요. Lettuce is not brought out with the food. However, we did truly enjoy the 파전 served prior to the meat! III. QUALITY Rule of thumb: the better cut and flavorful meat is cooked at the END of the course..! This stood true at E.M. Bop. We weren't disappointed. Save room for those last meats to cook..! So delicious and flavorful. Also want to note (again) that the combo meals do NOT have pork like most other places. IV. CAPACITY We came around 8pm on a weekday night, thinking we'd be seated right away. Boy, were we wrong! There was a 20+ minute wait because this place is so popular! Consider making a reservation, especially if you come on a weekend!

Yelp
Came here with two friends after flying in for a wedding and did not have much Asian if not Korean food where they lived in Ohio. KBbbq is the way to go! Found EM Bop by a fluke shot actually when I went next door to grab takeout one time last year. We decided to get the dinner AYCE option as for $5 more we could add seafood to the mix. As this was AYCE, its going to be a general review with some outstanding highlights. PROS: - good/fair assortment of side dishes (banchan) - great add ons that are unlimited : egg souffle, house salad, rice wrappers, corn cheese. We definitely got corn cheese and the house salad a number of times. - huge assortment of meats -- keep in mind, they do charge for whatever is not finished which is great as it prevents food waste. - seafood portion is good: we got the garlic shrimp and omg is it good. Grilled garlic shrimp cannot be beat. - meat selection also great, both marinated and unmarinated cuts. CONS: - not really a con but they do limit you to 90min - also not a con but there is a 20% gratuity that is automatically added. Unless you want to be super generous and double tip! - the side dish portions are on the smaller end but you can always ask for more so I don't see it as a problem! Staff was GREAT. I wouldn't have minded a small double tip because their recommendations were spot on. They also helped us grill our meats even though AYCe is self-grill. Any requests came out pretty fast but also to be fair, we were the second party in the restaurant and came to "lunch/dinner" straight from the airport at 330pm LOL. Would definitely come back here when I'm home for a visit!

Yelp
I took my family here to eat one night after hearing from several people that E.M. Bop has really good and high quality KBBQ. Upon arrival, there wasn't anyone at the front to greet us, but I saw a tablet for a waitlist so I put our name down and we sat outside to wait. We waited for about 20 minutes or so before getting seated, and after being seated, we reviewed the menu which I was honestly confused by but didn't question it. I thought E.M. Bop was AYCE, but from the menu we had, it seemed there were very limited options (only combo meals). We didn't mind though- probably why we didn't question it further. Combo meals generally offer better meat cuts, and my family wasn't too hungry anyways. But now that we've gone, I'm seeing the pictures on Yelp and see there are more menus than we were given (AYCE and appetizers). After the food came out, my family was pleased with our choice. The meat selection was great and the portions were enough to fill us all up- family of 6 plus a baby. I'm not sure if the server cooks everything for you for AYCE as well, but for combo meal, the server stays at the table to cook the meat completely, cut, and serve the meats for us. Service was fast with bringing out refills or extra things we ordered. I do agree with what I've heard- the meat quality here is great. I'd say probably one of the best KBBQ meats I've eaten. I wasn't a fan of any of the sauces though and think they could improve on that or offer different selections. I like that they're open really late (I saw 3am), and I'll likely come back another time to try out the AYCE menu.

Yelp
One of the best kbbq places in town. EM bop is fairly priced, the restaurant has enough tables to accommodate small and big groups (just make sure to call ahead and reserve if you have a table of, I'd say, 5-7+ people). Their beef tartare from banchan is really good so it's a must to order. The service is great as the servers are really attentive and patient.

Jasmine N.

Yelp
E.M. Bop is a makes for a great family dinner. With extremely shareable plates, and a good variety banchan, it's anything you can ask for in Korean food. I ordered the galbi and bulgogi and everything came out extremely fresh and high quality, especially the galbi. I could justify the price of the galbi considering how flavorful and juicy it was. I also found it cool at the rice options as they offer white, purple, and black rice. The service in here is extremely friendly and helpful, and I definitely recommend E.M. Bop for anyone!

Yelp
Average at best. The ambiance and service was phenomenal. The servers were very attentive even when busy. The food was alright, there's not a single time that really wow'd me. Also they do have a "service fee" which they add onto the bill, but I'm pretty sure is the gratuity they mention on the menu. Not sure why they didn't just label it as that.

Yelp
Date of Visit 01-18-204 First, I have to say that I tried to eat there a couple weeks ago as a solo dinner for their AYCE lunch. They did turn me down and said AYVE required two people minimum. I offered to pay for 2 AYCE even if I was by myself, but they still said no. Which made no sense as they would have made more money that way (since I can't eat as much as 2 people, well my wife would argue that but you get the point). That policy made no sense, but I still wanted to try their AYCE, so I came back with my mother-in-law to have lunch there. As a reminder if you do not follow my reviews, I classify Korean BBQ AYCE into 3 categories, Premium, regular and "Dirty Korean" (cheap, lower/average quality meat, hit the spot but you better have a bathroom nearby) This place would be in the regular category (but border line "dirty Korean" ATMOSPHERE/DECO Nice and clean, but fairly small, I can see this place having some wait time in peak hours/days. Booth seating was comfortable for 2 but could get a little crowded for 4. SERVICE Waitresses were nice, not very talkative but attentive. They cooked most of our food (and did overcook the brisket) but the AYCE was supposed to be self-grilling, so not complaining about the extra help. They did not refill any of the Banchans but checked on us fairly often. All the meats came out fast and we did not have to wait. Please note that the soft drinks are served as plastic bottles, so you do not get free refills. PRICE Not complains there, the main AYCE lunch is 24.99 but if you want the short ribs options, you need to upgrade to the dinner AYCE which is 29.99. Lot of food for the money! FOOD This is where this review is going to take a downturn. The food was very very average at best, here are the details: You get a handful of Banchan , most are ok. None are great. But we didn't get any refills. We started with the brisket; it was average but ended up being a bit overcooked as well. We then had the spicy pork belly and that was just plain bad, it was not spicy at all and was very chewy, one of the worse pork belly I had in a long time. Next was the EM Bop short rib cuts, and while the meat was tender, it had zero flavor, even using the sauces on it barely gave it any taste at all. The fresh shrimp came after and that was the worse of the lunch along with the spicy pork belly. The shrimps were so bland and super hard to peel. Next, we decided to get more short ribs but got the seasoned one and those were good, nothing spectacular but good. Beef Bulgogi was good as well and we finished with the star of the day, honestly probably the only meat that was worth the money. Drum rolls ...... the winner was the marinated pork steak. Moist, tender and finally a meat with a lot of flavors. If you do end up at E.M Bop, make sure to get it, you won't regret that. By the way the egg soufflé was good but the corn cheese was another item with no flavors. MISCELLEANOUS Food came with 4 sauces, salt and sesame oil, red bean paste, a mystery sauce (not sure what it was and had little flavor anyhow) and a green sauce that was like a creamy chimichurri. Also to note that this restaurant uses charcoal which is a nice touch In conclusion, even if the price is decent, most of the food options sadly lack flavors and there are way better options in the area for AYCE Korean BBQ around the same price point. La note de Sebo Atmosphere/Deco 4.5/5 Service 4/5 Food 2.5.5 Price 5/5 Misc. 4/5 OVERALL 3/5

Yelp
EM Bop has been my fave AYCE KBBQ place for a while now. It's one of the cheapest still for the area at $29.99 for dinner. There is a parking lot out front that is free, but parking can be tricky and full. Coming on a Saturday night, we had to wait around 40 minutes, but to be expected with any place. Service was great and attentive here and we got meats so quickly and never had to ask twice. Servers here are really the best servers and never lingered too long or hovering. All the meats we received were delicious. My favorites: seasoned short rib cuts, miso pork belly, thin sliced brisket, and spicy squid. Tip is automatically added so keep that in mind. There was a point during dinner that we received 3 corn cheeses our table didn't order and felt bad sending them back.

Yelp
Overall, pretty average meat for the price. Price is pretty similar the restaurants in the area. Service and atmosphere are nice. Not a bad experience overall, but nothing in particular that makes it stand out from other Korean BBQ places in the area. Restaurant is easy to access with a pretty large parking area. We had no issues at all parking. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. We were quickly greeted and seated. The side dishes were pretty standard. We went with the combo for 2, which was more than enough for 2 people. Probably can feed 3 pretty comfortably. Do wish some of these places would go with a quality over quantity approach and offer a premium meat option. They also have a selection of Soju and other alcohols.

Yelp
Wanted to try an AYCE korean BBQ that wont break the bank and EM Bop definitely came through with some delicious korean style meats in the heart of Duluth. Came here over the weekend with my family and surprisingly only had to wait 10 to 15 minutes to get a table for four people on a Sunday evening for dinner. The all you can eat is priced at $29 per person with a plethora of meets to choose from ranging from chicken, beef, pork and some seafood options. You can also order your typical side dishes like corn cheese and wraps as well. The great thing is when it comes to the pork options you can ask for a certain amount of portions for your table so you don't over eat. Recommended Meats: - seasoned short rib cut 9.5/10 (great flavor and seasoning) - EM Bop short rib cut 8/10 (its good, but not much flavor compared to the seasoned short rib) - brisket 10/10 - miso and garlic pork belly 8.5/10 Overall a great korean bbq experience and priced lower than nearby kbbq restaurants. I didn't see a reduction of meat quality just because it is priced lower than other restaurants. Reservations are made if your party is over five people. good amount of parking spots as well. I also feel like this place is a bit better ventilated than other restaurants as well.

Yelp
Had a midnight craving for Korean food and this restaurant was the only one open. Got the a la carte spicy tteokbokki and it was mouthwatering. The melted cheese and chewy rice cakes mixed with such a flavorful sauce was a delightful eating experience. The waiter was nice and provided a to-go container when I asked. Definitely recommend visiting!

Yelp A Lo T.

Yelp
No wonder the long lines to eat here. Side dishes pairs well and fresh. Few dishes are tradicional but others are unique, like the chayote, crunchy, refreshing, and just great with the BBQ. The green sauce I could just drink that stuff as a smoothie. So yummy! Extended lunch hours until 4pm great value for $25. Dinner has few more items than the lunch menu, and well worth the few extra bucks. Ambience I'd say is average. But service is on the better end. Been there few times and all experiences have been remarkable.

Yelp
Okay I love that they give us free rice, egg soufflé, and soup! Their prices were not bad and it was a lot of food for the 5 of us. We bought the 3 meats and 1 side? We bought Galbi and it was good. Service was amazing The bad, not enough mushrooms, green sauce was a little off putting, the banchans all taste a bit... weird to me. Maybe it's a bit on the sweeter side and too much onion flavor for me. Music was much too loud, and unfortunately, we all had a tummy ache immediately after or the next day. I don't think we will be going back. This was our first time and we went because we heard good things about it from our friends.

Yelp
My new favorite K-bbq spot! It is of course located off the busy pleasant hill rd, so it was super easy to find and had plenty of parking. We came in for lunch and was surprised at their great price of $24.99 for AYCE. They had plenty of great options on their menu. Our table's favorites were the garlic pork belly, garlic pork steak, and the beef brisket. Their sides and sauces make it my new favorite kbbq spot. Some places now charge extra for cheese corn, but not this place! The service was also great. The team of servers were constantly checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed during our meal. At the end, the server also let us know that gratuity was included on the receipt. This is something really nice, as we have been to a couple of places where they don't let you know. I've already told my friends I want to return.

Yelp
I'm pretty impressed with their service level. Usually the challenge is being able to locate the waiter or reminding them to bring certain things out. Our server (Asian dude with long ish hair) was great at making sure to swing by to check on us. The AYCE $29.99 menu was pretty expansive. They had different variations (spicy, garlic, honey, soy, etc.) of chicken, pork belly, pork steak, brisket, rib cuts, shrimp, squid. Btw, the beef tartare was super unique! It was great that they listed the extras included with this unlimited option: corn cheese, soybean paste soup, egg custard, fried dumpling, etc. Some of these were pretty unique. The griddle had to be changed frequently since it got black quickly. There wasn't much smoke nor oil splatter if you're situated at the end of the table. Overall the food selection was great, service was stellar, and the pricing was decent.

Yelp
Late night Korean bbq spot. I love that they're open late. However, the flavor just isnt there. Our server was nice. However, we won't be back because the food didn't taste like anything.

Yelp
Amazing customer service! I especially love their lunch hour! Only $25 per person for AYCE!

Yelp
With rising prices of kbbq, we decided to give this place a try because it was $30 for AYCE. Their menu says that it's self grilling and they even give you timing recommendations based on the meat but when we can (probably because it was a weekday), they grilled everything for us. Lots of meat options including marinated and unmarinated. Unique items that aren't typically found at other places are the beef tartare, banquet noodles (Jan chi noodles). The beef tartare comes in a small serving size and has a sweet taste to it. Enjoyed it! The banquet noodles is kimchi heavy but it was nice. Food: - banchan: while the side dishes weren't amazing they made up for it with their other food items - sauce: cilantro type dip, soy sauce based dip, soy bean paste dip, salt and sesame oil - non meat AYCE: corn cheese (comes in a small serving size which I liked), soybean paste soup (one of the best I've had), steamed egg (done the right way with no weird toppings) - meat: lots of marinated pork belly flavors, unique one was the cilantro. Had an herby taste that cut the gamey taste of pork. All of the pork belly dishes had a very hard ish thick layer which was unusual, would recommend the thin pork belly. The marinated beef dishes were all good, fresh shrimp was amazing. Would definitely come back

Yelp
Ok, this is a review for the non-kbbq menu, lunch/late night menu. Don't sleep on this guys, because it Hit. The. Spot. After going to/calling a few korean restaurants, I realized there aren't many places that open past 10pm. My friends and I decided to go to em bop and order from the late night menu. 12.99 for tofu soup and 22.99 for the tofu soup + pork steak combo and MAN! Everything was so good! The tofu soup was a little mild/bland but I'm ok with that because the pork steak was so flavorful and paired really well with the soup and rice. And they put a good amount BRISKET in the tofu soup, not just little niblets of beef like other tofu soup restaurants. This is definitely going to be my go-to for late night meals from now on.

Yelp
Came with a larger group on Saturday night, would recommend making reservations! The service is pretty good by our server. She was very attentive and nice and would switch out our grills without asking. Also would refill our sauces frequently. The cuts of meat here are pretty good and fresh. They also have many many options to choose from which I like. They also have unlimited side dishes like steamed egg, soybean soup, corn cheese and more. I would recommend ordering more of those for big groups as they can take a bit of time to come. The meat and other side dishes come pretty quickly. The brisket and short ribs here are my favorite. Overall, good service by the waitress but at the end of our meal there was a lady who kept staring at our table. (probably to get us to leave lol). We were done eating but was here for a friend's birthday so we had cake and was chatting at our table but felt pressured to leave. Would come back with smaller groups to enjoy more comfortably.

Yelp
All you can eat barbecue was satisfied, cooked in your own table, 90 minutes enjoyment, charcoal grilled on the table, service was attention to detail. $29.99 dinner, auto gratuity 18% add on, save money on lunch $24.99, you also gets many side dishes on the menu, cream of corn and kimchi was my favorite. Short cut beef and garlic chicken was delicious. Don't forget garlic shrimp and soy squid , my seafood choice. Environment is family friendly. Your clothes may smell barbecue after eating in the restaurant so keep dress simple and easy. We have a very good time. You might walk-in with some wait time. Because this is a popular Korean barbecue restaurant in this area.

Yelp
Had a great experience at E.M. Bop. Definitely in my top 3 of kbbq locations. We were a group of 5 and were able to make a reservation so that's a plus! We were immediately greeted when we sat down and from there treated great. They have great beer and soju options to enjoy while eating. All the meat options are super delicious and marinated perfectly. They provide a good amount of yummy sides to enjoy. I'd say my favorite meat options were the brisket and the spicy bulgogi! We were there on a Monday evening and it was a good vibe. It was busy but you didn't feel like the staff was running around like crazy. They seem very organized.

Yelp
I am a glutton for protein so when you mention ayce I am instantly intrigued. This review will be outlining the accumulation of my 3-4 visits with various parties. I usually come here with a party no more than 4 people because becomes a bit chaotic feeding frenzy. Inside ambiance is stimulating with its music videos projected into the walls with various music playing in the background. With the bustling staff running around and consistent dining crowd - overall it may be louder than your average place. The high ceilings and simple decor helps with not feeling cramped with the sheer amount of people inside. There are some private dining sections that have its own walls and soft door for the larger tables. Food is consistently marinated and flavored. I really enjoy the entire protein selection but the side items are nice additions. The fried dumplings are super crispy and generously filled. The E.M bop noodle is not too spicy but definitely creates a flavor and texture Bridge between your proteins and the rice/lettuce wrap. It really reminds me of a Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue. I love the various selections of pork belly offered here because usually I don't have this much options at other places! Service is the only questionable aspect of E.M Bop. There will (or not) be many staff who come by and tend to your grill. What I have noticed is that they all vary in regards to meat cooking time. I find myself more often than not end up being the one who cooks entirely because the staff ends stops coming to check on my table. The occasional server comes by to asks if I would want additional items ordered, but it sometimes doesn't matter when they forget to submit / pick up the order for the next 15 minutes. I have confirmed this by their confused/shocked response when inquired about the status. You are charged an automatic 20% gratuity so I am assuming that is for grilling service? Grill changes come frequently to prevent burnt cooking/fires which is deeply appreciated! There was one time that I dined here that the staff would knowingly let outside patrons to come inside and visit each table to sell random fruits/goods. I was told that this was common and to just ignore their presence. Overall, I do enjoy dining here time to time for its food but wished that service was a bit consistent across the board. I would see other tables get full service such as grilling and timely entrees served whereas my tables are stuck on it's invisible island.

Yelp
The food selection here is one of the best menus I've seen for the price. They always get you in quick even when they're super busy, the business is quite organized in getting you in and out but still being able to enjoy your meal! One of my favorite spots to visit

Yelp
The Korean BBQ is one of my favorites. Our go-to for my friends and I, we will normally order sides which can get a little pricey.

Yelp
I *wish* we had a place where I live. Less than $20 for a meat entree, soup, and all the side dishes?! Yes please. Everything was fresh, flavorful, perfect. Would absolutely recommend coming here anytime you're in the area!

Yelp
Love,Love , love this place. Went there for a girlfriend meet up so we had our own private section. Upon entering the hostess was welcoming and nice. Instructed me where to go for our meet up. On to the food We chose the AYCE option. *all members of your party have to order this Our dumplings, soup, and salad all came out fairly quick and we began to place our selections of meat. The meat was fresh and delicious. I will suggest getting the beef tartare, it was DELICIOUS and I was pleasantly surprised. I have to highlight our waiter in which I forgot her name but she was phenomenal. Her conversations with us and how she tended to us made me feel like she was looking after her children. Did I mention she was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good variety of meat, affordable and good atmosphere for Korean BBQ.

Yelp
I recently visited E.M.Bop and it was a good experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively and the smells of sizzling meats on the grill were so enticing. I the service really stood out to me because our server was very attentive. Instead of pressing the button to get our guy to come out, he pretty much walked over and checked on us very frequently. He brought out extra sides and change our grill plate very frequently. We ordered a few different types of meat to grill, including marinated beef and pork belly. What stood out to me about this place was that they had beef tartare. Do you like eating raw beef? This was decent quality raw beef. I haven't been to any other KBBQ place that had beef tartare. $30 with a huge and expansive meat menu with spicy, garlic, honey, soy varieties. Of course, my crew usually just stuck to mostly brisket and pork belly. Would I come here again? Maybe. I don't know my KBBQ places, and they are pretty much the same to me except service and price.

Yelp
I came here based upon recommendations from others for AYCE KBBQ. My partner and I had dinner here on a busy, late Wednesday night. We ordered: * Beef brisket * Beef bulgogi * Honey pork belly * Garlic pork belly * Cajun shrimp * EM Bop short ribs * Beef tartare * Egg custard * Corn cheese For drinks, we both ordered soda. I got a Coca Cola and he ordered a Sprite. To our surprise, we were handed bottled sodas instead of canned! It was a very nice touch and not to be overlooked. The restaurant seemed clean. The music was a bit loud, but not obnoxiously so. My partner and I were still able to talk to each other across the table and hold a conversation with no problem. I always come into a KBBQ place expecting to grill my own meat, so that doesn't offset me at all. Although I did the majority of the grilling, the servers occasionally stopped by to help. My table never had an issue with asking for more meats/sides as the servers were very attentive and friendly. They did not rush us to order more meats and allowed us to enjoy our food. The grills use charcoal and were smokeless. They were changed very frequently. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the banchan were pretty good as well. There is an automatic 20% gratuity charge for AYCE which doesn't bother me, since I normally tip 20% anyways. However, my partner was so impressed by the service that he tipped even more. Overall, very solid KBBQ place. My partner and I had an amazing experience! Thank you so much to our servers! We will come here again.

Yelp
Overall: 4.5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 Would come back again? YES! Recommend: Stone Pot Bibimbap, Seafood Pancake This is a fantastic place for authentic Korean food and Korean BBQ! We didn't try the barbecue this time but it looked and smelled really good from the other tables! Both the stone pot bibimbap and seafood cake were amazing and healing. The food are a little pricey compared to some other Korean restaurants in the area though.

Yelp
E.M. Bop was a great. The service and the staff were very helpful when it came to making suggestions. The food was also great. We chose to do the buffet and you got to select 3 types of meat and the server would cook it in front of you. I wound definitely be back to check try more selections since there was no way to try all of them since we got full.

Yelp
Sat us down Sunday night we had 40 min to eat which is enough time but half way through until the "kitchen cutoff" we were neglected by the waiter no one came to see us, we waiting tried to get attention to those around but they just speed walked away from us, when we decided to finish off what we had waiting on a meat and it took 10 min for the guy not to even show up! Then I'm guessing one of the managers turned everyone's tables off and said plz pay upfront. LIKE EXCUSE ME? We were gonna let him know but he speed off aswell. Definitely a place where they will RUSH you out and Neglectful. Disappointed. They are lucky tips are included because we would have NOT tipped for that type of service. Owner said "we will help you next time" maam we are rushed every time we are here.

Yelp
Food is good faster service would be great but overall not bad. Just curious as to why it's needed for a service charge to be placed in the bill for only 2 people. I understand 5 people or more...but service charge on a party of 2? Even they do state but at 20% for slow service it's a bit ridiculous.

Yelp
This is my FAVORITE Korean BBQ place! The food and the service are excellent! In Duluth, you have a lot of options for Korean food, but this is the best one you can choose!
