Emmy Squared Pizza: Coral Gables

We enjoyed the "Le Big Matt" burger and "MVP" pizza in this new restaurant in the middle of Miracle Mile. The food was quite good, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was charming. The only consideration is that the burger might be spicy relative to American standards, it's still good but the menu doesn't provide that reference. Would come back to taste the other pizzas.

A long awaited arrival - Emmy Squared is a wonderful addition to the mile. Their thick, Detroit style pizza is unique to Miami's usual pizza scene. They have a nice variety of menu offerings plus a full bar. My first experience was ordering delivery & I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was. So, I decided to pay them a visit on Sunday. For the delivery, I ordered the Birria pizza & it is an absolute MUST TRY. The flavors far exceeded my expectations & for a delivery the quality was top notch. The edges were nice & crispy. On Sunday, I came in & was sad to see they were extremely slow. There were only 2 other occupied tables. We had the watermelon salad & the vodka pizza. I loved the watermelon salad & highly recommend it. The vodka pizza was good but it was a bit bland & could have used some more toppings. I hope their business picks up soon because I love this place!

Tried the one in NYC so had to try this. Although the Place was empty at noon the waiter told us we had to sit outside since we had our 2 pups with us ,one who is a trained service dog and always sits by my feet and the other who was in my daughters bag hardly visible. That was already a big turn off when most places in Miami are super dog friendly with indoor dining as well.Definitely didn’t get the attentive service sitting outside either. Was delighted to have a vegan cheese option though but disappointed with no other vegan or vegetarian menu options not even a veggie burger, veggie meats for the pizza or gardein chicken wings which most places in Miami offer. The pizza was good although a bit more cheesy on the square than round pizza so dough is thus not as crispy. Overall nice family style place to have a salad, pizza or burger just leave your dog behind if you want to sit inside, plus it would be nice to get more with the times and offer vegan and vegetarian options.

Tried this place in Coral Gables that just opened. I had the deluxe pizza and it was awesome. The regular is enough for 2 to share. Plenty of ingredients and a nice, crispy and cheesy crust. The Miracle Mile location is excellent for locals who want a Detroit-style pizza but don’t want to drive out to Vice City in Kendall. I paired my Deluxe with a hazy IPA and watched the US Open. Nice decor and family friendly. Also has 2 big outdoor tables so you can people watch while you eat. The staff are accommodating, attentive and chill. Easter egg: they grind the red pepper flakes so they easily come out of the shakers! Never, ever seen this at a restaurant before. Well done, guys!

Fun fact, this location used to be a pizza place called Pizza Rev pre-COVID. They abruptly closed which made me super sad because they had delicious and cheap gluten free pizza and I used to go all the time. So I was overjoyed to discover this place, they have gluten free AND vegan options and they were DELICIOUS. My husband had the vegan make-your-own with jalapeños and I had a sausage ricotta gluten free, forgot the name one. Both pizzas were a 10/10. They have some outdoor seating which was nice. Good ambiance from what I could tell inside. My only complaint - it would be nice if they had a fake meat option for my husband. Overall, I liked their pizzas more than the Detroit style pizza place in Midtown.

Emmy Squared has finally landed in Coral Gables, and while there's undoubtedly potential, the initial experience was a bit of a rollercoaster. My friend and I were excited to try the new spot, given our positive experiences at the Brooklyn location. The star of the show was definitely the wings. The Sriracha Crystal Glaze was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the wings themselves were cooked to perfection. The waffle fries were also a crispy, delicious complement to the wings. Unfortunately, the burgers fell short. The Le Big Matt was underwhelming, and the patties seemed suspiciously like frozen patties. We both agreed they lacked the juicy, handmade quality we've come to expect from Emmy Squared. The pizzas were another disappointment. We tried the Deluxe and the Big Ang, both of which were average at best. The sauce lacked the authentic New York pizza flavor we crave. It's important to note that Emmy Squared has only been open for a short time, so there's ample opportunity for improvement. The drinks were solid, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Given the potential of the concept, we're willing to give them another chance. Perhaps next time, the burgers and pizzas will live up to the Emmy Squared name. Overall, while the wings were a standout, the rest of the menu needs some work to match the quality of the original locations.

ordered takeout!! love that they have vegan cheese options. got their hawaiian pizza and sweet potato waffle fries. truly shocked by the quality and taste!!

Finally a good pizza in the Gables! I have a hard time finding good pizza in my area so when I decided to try this place I honestly wasn’t expecting much but It definitely surpassed my expectations. We had the pineapple chili wings to start and they were so good! I loved the slight sweetness of the pineapple. Then we had “The Colony” with pepperoni and pickled jalapeños… all I have to say is…get this pizza!
